Wow! What can I say--where do I even start? From the moment…read moreI walked in, I was greeted kindly and taken care of right away. They immediately pay attention to detail, starting with a quick form so you can explain what you're coming in for and what areas need attention. Once I was taken to my room, I instantly felt relaxed. The atmosphere is so calming, with soothing music and ocean sounds that really elevate the entire experience. Lupe took care of me, and I truly loved every single moment. I've never been somewhere that takes the time to have a genuine conversation and consult with you about your needs before starting. She was sweet, informative, friendly, and incredibly personable. I appreciated every interaction. I got a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and she really took care of me. I haven't felt that relaxed in months. The oil smelled amazing, and everything about the experience felt so intentional. Lupe listened closely and targeted the areas where I hold the most stress. She made sure I left feeling my absolute best. At the end, she reminded me to hydrate and even gave helpful guidance on how often I should come back. They also provided a refreshing mint, water and a towel after the session, which was such a nice touch. Overall, the entire staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. I've never had such a great first experience at a place like this. I will definitely be back and highly recommend the 90-minute deep tissue massage!

15 Years of Loyalty Flushed Down the Drain by Greed and Incompetence…read more I have been a loyal client of this establishment for 15 years and after today I will never step foot in this building again. If you value your peace of mind your time or your dignity I suggest you stay far away from Carol and her unprofessional staff. For over a decade I have consistently made the hour long drive each way just to support this business. Recently Carol made a manual error on her end charging me a tip and then refunding it herself. Instead of taking accountability for her own technical incompetence she coordinated with her receptionist and my therapist Bob to confront and ambush me about it two weeks later while I was there to relax. Even worse Carol and her staff had the audacity to embarrass me in front of the customers waiting behind me. The receptionist made me look like I do not pay when I have been paying and tipping every single time for the last 15 years. To treat a long term patron like a deadbeat over a mistake the owner made is a total slap in the face. To Carol: Chasing down a 15 year regular for a tip you accidentally refunded is the definition of poverty mindset management. You are so desperate for a few dollars that you are willing to harass and publicly humiliate a client who has given you thousands over the years. Having a therapist like Bob and a receptionist confront a client about money while they are there for a service is predatory tacky and a total violation of trust. It is clear that Carol has no idea how to run a professional business or how to treat the people who have kept her doors open for nearly two decades. I paid the missing money today just to prove I have more class than the owner of this shop but the bridge is burned. Carol you are a truly pathetic excuse for a business owner and a person. To coordinate a three person ambush against someone who has supported your livelihood for fifteen years shows exactly what kind of character you have. You are small minded and cheap and you clearly have zero respect for the people who pay your bills. You would rather play power games and humiliate a loyal patron over a twenty five dollar bill than admit you made a mistake on your own computer. Instead of just being a professional admitting you made a mistake and saying hey I am sorry we actually accidentally refunded this you chose to make it look like I was the one who couldn't pay. A real owner would have apologized for the confusion and handled it privately but you decided to smear a loyal customer's reputation to cover for your own stupidity. You made me look like a non-payer in front of a full waiting room even though I have never missed a payment or a tip in fifteen years. It is honestly disgusting that you sleep at night thinking this is how you run a professional shop. You have turned a place of healing into a place of hostility and greed. You are an absolute piece of work for trying to make me look like a thief in front of other people when I am the one who has been inconveniencing myself for an hour each way just to give you my business. You don't deserve another cent of my money or another second of my time. You should be embarrassed and you should honestly just close your doors if this is how you plan to treat human beings.

Quite possibly the best massage I've ever had. Good amount…read moreof metered street parking was available out front so I was able to park right away. I walked in without an appointment a few minutes after they opened on a weekday, and I met Joel (I believe that was his name). I initially asked for a 60 minute full body massage, but after about 30 minutes, I asked him to extend to 90 minutes because he was doing such a great job. He started with a gentle pressing all over, then a hot towel and wiped me down. He did some gentle stretching and massage over the sheet as a warm up, then used oil on bare skin. The head and neck massage was nice and long (most places just do it for a couple minutes). At the end, he wiped the oil off and did more stretching and massaging over the sheet. He finished it off by having me sit up and he stretched out my neck and back and hips. That's just a brief summary, since I fell asleep a few times and nearly drooled lol. Everything that he did from beginning to end was very intentional, thoughtful, and skillful. He often asked me how I was doing, and was so polite and kind. I could tell he was very experienced, because he could tell by touch what areas I was having issues with even before I said anything. Every time a part of my body cracked softly, he'd quietly whisper "nice" or "thank you" as if he just really enjoyed his job. It was very adorable lol. He also applied tiger balm to my shoulders and back because he could tell my muscles were very tight and sore. When the massage ended, he recommended I shower in the evening with hot water to soothe my muscles and wash off the tiger balm. The fact that he even thought about what I should do when I get home was very sweet. I usually leave most massage places a little disappointed and feeling liked something was missing, but I literally left with a huge smile on my face. When I got to the car, I even noticed that some minor elbow and wrist pain I've had for a few months had improved considerably! The only thing missing from the experience was a hot water foot soak, but I didn't even miss it because he did such a great job. I highly recommend trying out Siri Foot Spa and asking for Joel!

Very disappointing experience…read more I visited with another person, and we both requested 30-minute foot massages. Even though I checked in before the person I was with, they were started first and I didn't get taken back until about 5-7 minutes later. The chair I was assigned was broken and wouldn't recline properly, making it difficult to comfortably use the foot bath. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. There was visible dust and debris in the chair, and it ended up getting on my shirt and shorts. As for the massage itself, it barely felt like a massage. I was assigned to the woman with the bob haircut, and the entire session consisted mostly of lotion being rubbed on my feet and shins with very light pressure. There was very little technique, attention to sore areas, or actual foot massage work. At $40, I expected a clean environment, functioning equipment, and a relaxing massage. Unfortunately, this was one of the weakest foot massages I've ever received. Between the late start, broken chair, lack of cleanliness, and poor-quality massage, I left feeling like I wasted my money. I would not return and cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

Tomoko Spa is located on a very busy street, but you forget all that as soon as you step inside. They do a really great job of creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The experience starts with a 15 min foot soak/massage, and that already was divine. The masseuse puts the perfect amount of pressure, and that combined with the warm water, almost put me to sleep, haha. For the body massage part, the masseuse asks you what parts you want focused on and how much pressure you would like. They are also really good at checking in at various parts of the massage to make sure you are completely satisfied. I really appreciated how thorough they are with the massage and also how proactive they are in making sure you are enjoying the experience. At the end of the massage, we were given hand-whisked matcha tea to drink, and they also provided us jelly, a handwritten note, and a rose to celebrate our anniversary :) We had such a lovely experience, and I cannot recommend this place enough, whether to celebrate a special occasion, or just to treat yourself! ** If you book a couple's massage, they provide complimentary parking in the lot next to the spa, otherwise there's paid street parking or parking garages available nearby
