I was touched inappropriately here last night. The man brought me into a private room which you would think is normal. He did not cover my butt properly and was putting his thumbs on my butt crack. Then put a wash rag over my butt when it was time to do my legs, so everything was showing (I had underwear on). My legs were closed and he ran his entire hand up the INSIDES of my legs all the way to the top. Barely missing my private parts. I was honestly scared and didn't know what was happening or if I was tripping, so I didn't say anything in the moment. As soon as we left, I told my sister and she appalled and said that was so not normal and apologized over and over for bringing me there for a "relaxing evening". Then I came on here to read other reviews to see if anyone else has had this experience and sure enough... this place is disgusting. I feel extremely violated and filing a police report. This is absolutely not okay!!!!! I went in as a paying customer thinking my body would be respected and I was completely VIOLATED in my most vulnerable position. Absolutely disgusting and not okay. If you like a deep tissue massage to have the knots in your muscles opened up, there is NO ONE better than Danny. I have gone to high end spas, regular massage places, I have yet to find someone that is better than him. I carry all of my tension in my upper back and a one hour session usually fixes me right up. I just got a full one hour massage here from Amy. She was amazing. Now I am so relaxed I am not sure if I can walk. It was busy, but also very quiet. I did not experience any employees talking to each other. This time there was no Landy in the front. There was a guy managing the spa. Also, they moved the phone to the back so you can not hear it. I read so many reviews here but decided not to listen to one of my friends who always comes here and I am glad I did. I did give a $10.00 tip and they were very grateful. I've been very reluctant to post this review but after discussing my experience with some friends I feel the need to let people know. I had a full body massage there about a week ago. The guy was good, a little too strong at times but I've had massages all my life and just went with it. I was separated from the next customer by a flimsy curtain and could hear the usual moaning and groaning throughout my massage. It wasn't until the end when my masseur had left and I was probably taking a little bit too long to leave the room that I overheard what was without any doubt the girl offering the customer a "finish". My stomach turned as I had hoped I was wrong. Then I heard her giggling and the customer saying " oh I'm sorry I'm a little tired tonight". I was disgusted and thought out of there I'd never get. I proceeded to pay the receptionist/manager and could not hold back and tried to tell her what was happening. She followed me outside the premises and told me that she had warned them " no sex, no sex". It was after a day or so that I thought she really did not look surprised. I told her that this is not right and that I could call the police. She also said that she would fire the person tomorrow, her English is not that great, but she knew exactly what I was referring to. Anyway like I said I am reluctant to post this but it's after reading all the reviews that this woman is exploiting people is possibly right and any pressure to tip them $10 per massage is because they are probably expected to perform a little extra. Dirty, Smelly , noisy, rude etc I've been coming here for years now since it's by my house And it's only 20$ hour , however now it's 25$ for an hour . Considering the neon-lit store front and the Grand Opening specials (though it's been open for almost a year), I didn't go in with high expectations. But as long as the massage was decent, I would've been happy. I made an appointment for the 1-hour $35 full body TABLE massage (NOT the $20 full-body chair massage in the common area). The $35 table massage is in a private room in the back, partitioned by curtains. I didn't see a top sheet on the table so I waited for the masseuse. She pointed to a towel on the bed. I said okay thank you, started to undress and gave her a little look indicating that I'd need a minute. But she just smiled and stood there, apparently waiting on me. Alrightie then. After a few minutes, it became apparent that she had no idea what she was doing. There was no method, no technique, and few customary massage routines. She largely stroking vertically in the same spot with her palm, then knuckles, then elbows. It was the same sh*t over and over, and it sucked. She pressed along my spine a ton, sometimes pushing directly on it ... meanwhile I silently prayed, oh God please don't leave me paralyzed by a massage. And honestly I don't understand why she even used the towel, because half the time she didn't even cover me with it! At one point, she pushed the towel up to the middle of my back. She worked on my thighs with my everything exposed. No strategic adjustment of the towel to cover my business. kinda hysterical. Towards the end of the massage, she brought a hot towels to wipe off the oil, but that raggedy bath towel was harsh and felt like an exfoliation. I'd be shocked if she had any kind of training or certification. Seems like they hired her and said, go rub people. So that will be the last time I get a traditional full body. My tension and knots remain, and I'm $50 poorer. Maybe only foot massage is their thing. read more

Oh sh*t... there is a cheap Chinese place on the Westside?!?! This is really unheard of because the westside is so... fancy smacy. The fact that this was $20 (not including tip) for a full body massage (with clothes on)... I was shocked. They have NINE chairs in this establishment. It's pretty big and the seats are comfy. Good for big people too. They have you sit with your feet in the herbal stuff and you just sit there for a bit. Then they start on your head... and I pass out from there. It was all smooth and nice. Then... they have a portion when he turns you around and then it's like wrestling! He's being rough on my muscles - you can tell them to go lighter - but I have a lot of knots, so I wanted him to work it - even with tears in my eyes... he was good. He got a lot of the knots out and I was in pain from it but I felt taller afterward. I don't remember my guy but he was middle age. All of them are Asian. :P The only thing I had a issue with is that they didnt use gloves because I don't trust a lot of Chinese places. They constantly have clients, so you never know :P Note: * They do not wear gloves * They use their own lotion - if you are sensitive, bring your own for them OVERALL: Great price and IN THE WESTSIDE! read more

It is always the best to call in advance as this place tends to fill up rather quickly. Would suggest Danny and Tom for a full body massage that is $30 an hour. One of the better massage parlors I've been to -- ever! Teensy bit more expensive than other places, but for a full-body, 1 hour massage in your own private area, $30 AINT BAD AT ALL... Other places I've been charge $20-25ish for an hour but you're in a room with several other people going in and out constantly. I had Tina and she didn't speak English super well so I was worried she wouldn't understand me but she was great! She was very attentive and when I asked her to massage certain areas harder/softer she actually listened. It was nice to be in a semi-private area: you could still hear some of what was going on outside, but the curtain blocked you off visually from everyone else in the store. I left very refreshed and I'll definitely be back. TIPS! You will feel a bit sore over the next few days....drink plenty of H20, it's normal. You can make an appt but it's not necessary. Let me just start by saying, I am crazy fussy when it comes to foot massages or massages in general. I've been getting massages since I was 14 (my mom used to have a masseuse come to our house to give her massages weekly, and when she was done she'd give me one too). Also, I grew up in Singapore where even the most average chinese reflexology place is better than any I've been to in LA (then again, it IS twice the price there - but still) I feel like my main complaint about all the foot reflexology joints here is (Soul to Sole being no exception), they just don't know what the f they are doing. Excuse my language. But yes, it bothers me THAT much. Reflexology is meant to be healing, a way to push at your pressure points so your entire body feels better. Yet, I feel like most of the time they are just pushing at random spots on my feet for the sake of it, sometimes, not even hard enough where I even feel relaxed. At that point, I actually get even more tensed because I feel like I'm wasting an hour laying there, not getting what I wanted. I come here a lot, I actually do. But only because I'm addicted to foot massages (something is better than nothing) and this one is closest to home. Out of the 10 times I've been here though, only once have I walked away thinking 'man, that felt good' (usually it's more like 'mehhh, that was okay'). But I guess it really is hit or miss. The place feels really clean (which I like a lot) and the layout is standard. It's overall relatively quiet, although, they can get noisy talking amongst themselves towards closing time. They were slow to get back to me and were not forthcoming with the whereabouts of my property. I was looking for another foot massage place on the westside, but I got lost and went into this one instead. Holy shit! I was expecting to pay $25, but it was only $20. That's only $5 more than San Gabriel Valley. It's a 10 minute drive from my place. (It's very close to the Westside Pavilion.) The lady I had was named Annie and she was AWESOME! She was intuitive, yet had very strong hands. I felt so relaxed, I almost fell asleep. I was really shocked. Maybe it's because I had such low expectations... but honestly, the fact that this place is on Westwood Blvd. on the westside and only charges $20 is ridiculous! I don't know how they make a profit. Anyhow, I gave her a good tip and I will be coming here, again!!! I had a massage at the massage place last week and this place was way better. Street/Meter parking. I initially glanced at the banner neon-lit front and dismissed it, but there's a time and place for everything...haha. This is one of those post-work late night and I'm desperate for a massage spots. It is clean and does just enough to reset and recharge you mid-week. As most Asian foot massages go, its the very basic non-professional technique, but relaxing enough to massage the soreness away of a long day on your feet. I think this spot is ideally for "foot massage," I wouldn't come for a body massage if you are expecting the traditional professional massage therapy. I just got a 1-hour back massage for $30! When I walked in, I saw that people had their clothes off (women were faced down) & covered with towels. Uh...interesting. I asked if I could keep my shirt on, & they were fine with that. At least you know there's no funny business because you can see everyone in the one big room. I also asked not to have the foot massage, but to have them focus on my back only. At one point, the girl was on top of my back...knees in my glutes & pushing on my back. I generally prefer a Japanese shiatsu style massage, but this was pretty good too...especially for $30! FYI...they charge $1 for credit card usage. I'm a big fan of these Chinese massage places & love the great pricing. Glad to know that I don't have to drive to San Gabriel to get one of these massages! :) Follow Up (next day)... My credit card didn't work while I was there. It said "failed", so I thought it was declined. Hmm. That's unusual, so I paid cash, then called the credit card company afterwards. Turns out that the charge DID go through. Everything was fine with my card. But something weird was up with their little credit card machine. So...you may want to pay cash even though they accept credit cards. It may not be worth paying twice for the $30 massage. I come here like every week and finally am reviewing. Seriously love this place. $20 for a foot (full body) massage, Danny is my favorite so far, though everyone has been amazing. I have bad scar tissue in my neck and back and constantly they help me be able to walk/sit/live life normally again. It's very clean, the people are nice and work with your schedule. They don't try to rob you of your money and take shorter time. For the people who hate on this place- snobs. Yeah you're in a room with other people, and they don't speak very much English. They all can understand your requests and willingly work on what you're looking for (i.e. Neck problem, no face massage, foot cramping). I wish I could give them zero stars! Terrible experience with Danny. After the massage they forced the client to pay $10 per massage. Just for your information Sir tip is not Mandatory anywhere in the world... it is based on satisfactory experience and the amount is completely up to the client. You cannot hold the client hostage until the mandated tip amount is paid. Tip cannot be forced upon the clinet by any means.
