OMG it was amazing. You just go. We were taken care of by Mea and she was great. Had great answers to all our questions, had fantastic recommendations, and knew her stuff. We'll go back and ask for her. I had the Cajun Hibachi Bowl and wow it was so delicious. The portion wasn't huge, but was just perfect to fill you up and make you want to come back tomorrow. Friends had the 1/2 po boy and cup of gumbeaux that she couldn't get enough of.

Another one of us got the loaded Mac and cheese with a cup of étouffée that she licked the plates clean. You must go, you won't regret it.

Great Bourbon Chicken served on white or dirty rice! Food was excellent, portions were large, service was friendly and helpful, local IPA was refreshing. Will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Mac and cheese with a side of shrimp gumbo

FOOD: I'm from NOLA and Lafayette, so coming into a Cajun restaurant, I had high expectations. We ordered their viral loaded mac and cheese, a combo with a salad and cup, and a po'boy with a salad. Overall, the food was very mid. My hibachi cup was pretty boring, literally just chicken over white rice with some peppers and onions, plus a side of white queso. That said, their house dressing was fabulous and easily my favorite part. The mac and cheese was also good; however, we didn't realize it was $17 for such a small portion. We ordered it just to try, so definitely a heads up on the price. Overall, I wasn't really wowed by the food enough to come back. SERVICE: Our server was super sweet and friendly, and especially with a big party, we don't have any major complaints. The only issue was that I didn't like how they brought out all of our food at separate times. Some guests were finished eating before I even received my food. AMBIANCE: I was with a large party, so we came in and out of the back door and sat in the back. Everything was very on brand, but I also didn't walk around the entire restaurant to see all of it.

I was here on business staying close by and saw that BeauxJax was rated fairly high. I sat at the bar and Lily was nothing short of attentive and super kind. I knew I wanted catfish and gumbo and they have a combo which was perfect sizes. The roll was perfectly chewy for a Poboy. Gumbo was nice and spicy and served over rice. I ended up ordering etouffee and a muffuletta to go! The etouffe ended up being my favorite thing that I got (not pictured because I devoured it). I knew the muffuletta was poboy style so it wasn't the typical thick layers of meat and cheese and wasn't overloaded with olives. It was ok, I think I would have ordered the Boudin instead. If you're close by I'd definitely stop in

There is a creative menu at this restaurant. Lots of sandwiches options as po boys, salads and boiled crawfish. We saw a waiter here reading the menu to a person who could not see well. That was so awesome to see. Our waitress was very careful to make sure our food was safe for our food allergy. The muffuletta po boy and the bourbon chicken salad were both fantastic.

So we had a great experience today. I was told, you pick you don't steer me wrong and I think he was VERY pleased with this trip. The waitress was very helpful, he couldn't make up his mind between the Mac & Cheese and the Cajun hibachi and her answers helped him choose. We got the pepper jack queso, the Cajun hibachi and the crawfish mac and cheese with "the works". Everything was wonderful. So much more I want to go back and try. And it was a nice day to sit outside and people watch!!!

The food was good. It had great flavor 5/5 The ambiance was good, and even with a band playing in the back, you could still carry on a conversation without having to yell. 5/5 The service was lacking greatly. Really young kids, barely old enough to serve alcohol and very inexperienced. 3/5

We happened upon this place in search of good beer. Not only did we find good beer, we found friendly bartenders and customers and a heck of a deal on delicious crawfish!! It was a busy Saturday night, but the place is huge with lots of seating options. They also had an area in the back where the neighboring businesses joined in with a George Strait cover band from Fort Worth. We parked on the street several blocks away but there's paid parking closer.

Based off my searching Yelp prior to my trip to the area, I knew this place was going to be a winner! We came for an early lunch (11:30) and the place was already busy! Because of my research, I knew I had to get the loaded mac. Ohmygosh it was so good. The seasoning was spicy and pleantiful. I ended up having about half of it to bring home for leftovers and it heated up beautifully. Husband got the half pound shrimp boil and liked everything but the corn. He said that tasted of a lot of butter (maybe because it was sitting it it?) The place is big so it seems like even if you come at prime time getting a table wouldn't be too difficult. Their drinks look pretty tasty too but I didn't order any on this visit. I'd say I'm coming back to try other menu items... but I might just be getting that loaded mac forever!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I ONLY gave it a 1-Star because that's the lowest you can rate it on here, and even that is giving them too much credit. Here is What Happened: There were 5 of us visiting from out of town and excited to try out some good, authentic Louisiana food before we left back home. We researched the closest restaurant and "BeauxJax Crafthouse" came up. So as we walked in, ahead of another group, I explained we needed a table for 5, but requested not to be seated by the front door due to cold weather and the draft of the cold air that blew in every time the door opened. The hostess proceeded to tell the group behind us that she would sit them first because they had kids..."ummmm they had about 4-5 as well and were seated in another section." Then grabs 5 menus and takes us to the exact table that I requested NOT to sit at. (The place was NOT busy AT ALL and there were PLENTY of other tables available). After I brought up that I did NOT want to sit at that table, she went to check with her manager if we could sit at another table. The manager, with a very annoyed attitude, walked up towards the front and very passively says, "yeah I guess it's fine" while we are all standing there. I the expressed that we would just leave and then the manager annoyingly again said "NO it's fine!" We thanked the hostess and walked out. This place DEFINITELY has a lot of growing and development of their people to do. *Im sure the food here was great, based on reviews, but unfortunately was unable to try it. **The best places we DID try for AUTHENTIC food and GREAT SERVICE that I recommend is "Blind Tiger" or "Ralph & Kacoo's". read more

We decided to try something different, and the food was pretty good! Our server was fast and friendly. We had our 2 year old and 1 year old with us. My 2 year old saw that my meal came with corn on the cob, which he loves, but it was spicy from I'm guessing being boiled with the shrimp (which is totally fine.) However, I asked our server if they had any corn that was NOT spicy, specifically for our children, and he said yes and brought us two. My son took a bite and almost immediately started crying and saying, "hot!" We checked the corn and it wasn't hot to the touch, but we noticed that it HAD been boiled with spice because the ends of the corn were red with spice residue. They WIPED OFF the spice, knowing it would still be spicy due to being cooked in the spice. He knew it was for our child, and I was highly upset. We specifically requested some not spicy corn for our boys. If they had simply said, "no, ma'am, it's all spicy," I would have been fine with that. Instead, they lied and the result was my baby's mouth BURNING. I will not be back. So inconsiderate, what an awful thing to do. read more

There are definitely better places in Shreveport. Boudin was dry to the point hot sauce couldn't help it. Shrimp etouffee wasn't fresh and shrimp were cooked on a flat. They taste burger and grease. Plastic glasses for sure not a 4 star place to eat. read more

Only a few ppl inside but it was kind of early in the day. Robin was the bartender. She was nice and helpful. We played a few games and had a couple of mixed drinks. Huge pool hall with a good selection of games and plenty of TVs and seating areas. Outside patio was a great touch. Cozy establishment. Staff was overall friendly but I just felt like the bartenders or at least my initial bartender at the beginning of my night could've been a little more enthusiastic given the fact I'm spending money on cover, food, drinks, and left a tip. Fried okra were great and I feel like they cover all preferences when it comes to drinks. They even have a drink special menu written down on a board featuring cheaper options. That's helpful because I think you can really price your self up by ordering drink after drink here. Flies around some trash cans and various inside areas of the building were a little annoying. Not every spot in Eddie's is the cleanest. I think you could come here and have a great time though...with friends or even make new ones.

BeauxJax is great! We were in town staying at the Horseshoe Casino and was told while you're here in town you should definitely try BeauxJax. We did and it was delicious! Good variety of quality Cajun food and lots of craft beers and cocktails. Our bartender Hayden was awesome and gave us great service and recommendations on local tap beers and suggested there famous pepper jack Mac and cheese with the works. If you don't eat it for your meal try it as an appetizer so you can at least try it with friends, it's that good! Definitely recommend - 5 Stars! read more

Wish I could put no stars! Sat at the bar last week for lunch and was completely ignored by the bartender, I watched him play around with the other employees and was constantly smoking his weed pen, it has a distinct smell so I knew it wasn't a vape, probably why he couldn't remember that I was sitting at his bar. Another employee finally noticed that I hadn't been taken care of and put my order in. Food was gross by the way. Should've went to flying heart. I've had better experience at fast food restaurants. read more

Ate there Monday night 2/19/24 , during our exceptionally long wait for our crawfish (about 45min) I went to the bathroom and noticed my server along with 2 other servers eating crawfish in the back area of the restaurant... ........... wtf?!? No manager ever checked on us and our server was busy eating crawfish while we waited on ours ...... very disappointed in our visit . Waited about 15 mins for the bartender to make my starburst drink as well, very slow and unprofessional staff. read more

This is my favorite place to eat in town. My kids ate ever bite on their plates, they had the kid quesadillas and a ham and cheese poboy! My husband loved his muffuletta, I loved my shrimp Cesar!! We all split the bread pudding an banana Foster's cheese cake, it didn't disappoint!! So much fun for the whole family!!! So many delicious items to choose from and what a plus to have a live band there on the weekend! Cannot wait to go back! read more

Beautiful building and nice enough help, but food a BIG disappointment, portions minuscule, and prices way out of line. For me, never again. Was telling a friend we went there and before I could say much of anything she interrupted me and said "never again". read more

Stopped here on way home from a road trip. Wasn't really hungry so only had bowl of gumbo, and other guy with me had the etouffee. Gumbo was great and he said the etouffee was great as well. Will definitely be back to try some other stuff. read more
