As of Today, still no apologies for this major error, but constantly sending emails to sell me something! 8/19 On Saturday July 12, my husband and I brought the Tundra in for service. We dropped it off at their new location. So we could run errands together. We just wanted an oil change and tire rotation. The vehicle has 15k miles. We had explicitly requested the air be checked in the tires as well. 2 hours later we got a call the truck needed new cabin air filters. We decided we would change those ourselves and declined to have the dealership do that repair. We found the kit for $30 something online. The wanted well over $200. Understand people gotta make money. However.... Why I am leaving this review is because we paid $49.99 for a tire rotation and when picking the car and getting back on 95 the low air pressure light went on. So after all that, the tires were worse than when we came in. If you wanna spend $50 on a tire rotation and get on the highway and the warning low tire light pop on this is your place. With being on the highway we couldn't just circle around back, so we just drove home and did it ourselves. Do better Beaver! read more

Beaver Toyota's service/repair department is one of the greediest operations in the area. Routine repair, parts, and maintenance costs are outrageous. They operate like a dingy strip mall business - adding 3% to credit card payments and lacking customer communication tools that are common today, such as texting. We took our car in at 7am and the only communication during the day was about the extortionate amount of the bill (and we expected a pretty big bill because CAR DEALER). We had to call twice and wait to find out if the car was ready, only to be told after 5pm that it was not because they were "waiting on parts." Not a problem, but they couldn't have just sent us a quick text in the early afternoon letting us know? Nope, the burden is on the over-charged customer. The technician, Gabriel, was pleasant and professional and did his best (hence the 2 stars) but this company is poorly run and overpriced. I guess the Beaver lady's hair styles, outfits, and make-up for all her advertising appearances don't pay for themselves. Somehow I doubt that much of the wealth is going to the employees, who do seem to work hard. read more

From the check-in for a basic oil change where there was a push for costly extras that weren't yet needed (but which the less savvy consumer could easily be talked into), to the wait-room experience where they hope you'll drop a lot of money for snacks, coffee, and yes, maybe get talked into speaking to a sales rep to trade your car, the atmosphere's a turn-off. We spent thousands on maintenance and repairs, including a 2013 Jeep repairs and service where we purchased it from another dealerships. On August 25, 2025, the General Manager sent an email permanently banning my wife and me from the dealership for sales and service, citing a "repeated pattern of contentious behavior." A second letter on October 8, 2025 confirmed the ban is permanent and includes my wife, who has never written a review or complained. We were never shown any specific incidents, dates, or documentation -- only general statements. All factory warranties, Fidelity extended service contracts, and prepaid maintenance plans must now be serviced elsewhere. Other experiences during our time there: * Multiple instances of incorrect or missing add-ons (tires from 2009 on a used vehicle, unpainted undercarriage shown as "inspected," etc.) * Long wait times and communication issues in service * A used-vehicle 30-day exchange policy that requires repaying taxes, doc fees ($999), and any price difference The dealership has a mix of very positive and very negative reviews -- our personal outcome was a complete and permanent loss of service access after years of loyalty. Let me start by saying that Beaver has always been a good dealership for service. That is until my last visit 6-23-25. My wife's gun was stored inside the drivers door panel. Shame on me for forgetting it was there but, shame on Beaver service for it not being there. There have only ever been 3 people in my car, me, my wife and Beaver Toyota. Also, note my car is ALWAYS LOCKED. This gun was a gift from my wife's deceased husband which makes it that much worse that someone, mechanic or porter, decided they liked it more than we did. I called Beaver Toyota about this and the service manager I spoke with could not have cared less. Only telling me, "oh we've never had any theft here". My comment back was, "you have now". This is a used car purchase, with 65,000 miles and granted its used. But to have it less than 2 weeks and not honoring these repairs is absurd. Visiting the dealership was a great experience, as the attention to the customer experience is apparent the minute you step in the door. I've been to this dealer twice. The first time, I test drove a car and was interested before they told me it wasn't ready for sale yet. Why not research that before a test drive? The second time, I called ahead to make sure a car was available and they said yes they'd have it in the front for me. I have been a faithful customer of Beaver Toyota in St. Augustine since 2013. A couple trade ins and 4 purchases. I felt the WOW. They have a new sales manager, who started in March. I purchased two certified pre-owned vehicles in December 2024. Mechanically, they are running well, so far. But the car I purchased for my daughter is cosmetically falling apart. After we purchased the car, same day as mine, they noticed a blemish on the roof. They offered to paint it. They repainted the entire roof. Mine also had blemishes on the grill which I noticed a few days later. Nobody offered a repaint at that time. After 7 months my daughter's Elantra started peeling. We checked recalls on paint and their was a class action law suit with an extension they 2023. But this car's vin, for some reason isnt included yet. We reached out to Hyundai, and they said she was in the window of case by case repaint. But when they found out Toyota already did a paint job it excludes any type of warrenty and that is all on Toyota and they need to own up to it. I have received alot of feedback from dealerships including Hyundai, that there is no way Toyota didnt know this vehicle may have cosmetic issues, hence their paint job. All we asked for was to have Hyundai paint the car and Toyota pay for it. Ryan, the Sales Manager said absolutely not and was more interested in us trading in a 7 month purchased for a NEW vehicle. That is the only way he would work with us. My daughter threw out a number, $8500 for a full paint job. He said "that sounds about right". Hyundai is right next to Toyota. Hyundai quoted us $3000. So Toyota lost a very family that purchases their vehicles over a measly $3000. I think they new the paint was an issue. I think he is stupid for agreeing that $8500 was the cost. He didnt even know the blue book value of the Elantra before we came in, even after all the emails and communication. Toyota!!! You use to be awesome. Ryan...you are an outright lier. I took my Toyota in for a recall from Toyota and got the problem turned around on me. The lower bumper cover was able to fall off the car, which it did while my wife was on I-10. This was before the recall was offered. I had it fixed by a friend and several months later I got the recall that the clips could work loose. I made an appointment, waited an hour and a half, when they came to me saying it would cost $650.00 to replace the lower bumper cover, because they said it was impacted by something. They also said they wouldn't replace the recalled clips for the same reason. So I guess it can just fall off again. If it was caused by a impact, what was it, where is it. Either way the clips should've been replaced to improve their flawed design and keep it from happening again. All I can say is they better be glad this didn't cause a wreck at 75 m.ph. and injured or killed my wife. I don't believe that Toyota says that they can't replace the clips even if it was impacted somewhere else and maybe the cover didn't fall off. It does show that a plastic fin right under the bumper was missing. I don't know if it may have got broken when 3/4 of the cover fell off at 75 m.p.h and dragged down the road till she could get stopped. Maybe it was halfway broken when my friend tried to fix it and he may have broken it the rest of the way off. I guess you have to be a service writer to know what exactly happened. Even if it was a small impact and I say small because nothing else was damaged in that area except a very small scratch above the fin shouldn't Toyota fix their flaws & keep it from happening again?
