Beavertails is a small dessert establishment located in the tourist trap of Clifton Hill. It's only a counter where you order your dessert and leave. There's a bench right in front of it, but otherwise, there's no seating. The cashier told me that #1 (cinnamon & sugar), #2 (chocolate hazelnut), and #8 (banana chocolate) are their most popular flavors. I ordered the chocolate hazelnut, and it came with powdered sugar on top. It's good stuff! The desserts are pretty big, but dough is nice and light so you don't feel disgusting after eating the whole thing! It's good but nothing to rave about. However, if you're in the area and craving something sweet, check it out. read more

A tasty treat at the end of a long day in Niagara Falls. We grabbed a cinnamon and sugar beaver tail and enjoyed the sweet treat with a smoothie too. I really wish I had tried the hazelnut one - but I was trying to be good. I would definitely come back and enjoy the fried dough goodness shaped like a beaver's tail! Store front is located on Oneida Ln. (next to the Burger King) if you're having trouble finding it! read more

My boyfriend and I aren't from around here and where we live we don't have access to beaver tails anywhere. This was one of the things we definitely came down for and let me tell you 100% worth it! I got the classic beaver tail and my boyfriend got the avalanche, they were AMAZING! it was super fast service for it being so busy! If your thinking about going for one.... DO IT!!!!! read more

I got the Chocolate and Banana ($7). It's definitely worth a try when you're in Canada! For me personally, it's very sweet. So if you have an intense sweet tooth, yes; but else, you'll probably get a sugar headache. read more

I've only had BeaverTails twice in my life and both occasions were incredible. This location in Niagara Falls is very tiny on a small street next to Burger King. There was no line when my boyfriend and I stopped by on a late night. The worker happily took our order and within minutes we had our warm Avalanche BeaverTail ready to be demolished. The dessert is amazing. The dough is perfectly fried with a great balance between the topping flavors and the dough. I will admit, the dessert is extremely sweet and sugary, but it hits all the right taste buds. If you are not a huge fan of sweets then I would recommend going for the simple cinnamon & sugar flavor. What I love about this sweet treat is that it is a Canadian gem. I've tried desserts throughout the United States and BeaverTails are unlike no other. When in Canada you have to come try one of the legendary "beaver tails". Essentially it's fried dough with lots of yummy sugar toppings !! I love the variety of choices you can add to the beaver tail. I truly enjoyed coming to eat here and I would highly recommend others to come and try it ! OH. EM. GEE. You hear stories of amazing desserts but this was absolute heaven. I ordered the maple and it didn't disappoint. It's kind of a cross between a donut and a funnel cake. Be prepared to get a little messy though! For 7CAD, and to experience something truly Canadian, I recommend hitting up this spot. Unfortunately i couldn't wait to dive in so no photos, but there are several options and those around me who ordered different couldn't complain about any of the options! read more

They have 4+ different "Vegan Option Available" items, where they basically exclude whatever might have dairy/egg in it (chocolate sauce), and serve it right up. It's hot and fresh, smells amazing, and tastes awesome. It reminds me of carnival food in a way, the fried bread probably, so it's a walking food (if you're careful). It can be messy, and is wild unhealthy, but it tastes incredible. I recommend both the Oreo one and the Pecan Pie one (if you like maple-pecan type pastries). Mine were both Vegan, so I'm sure the original version tastes good too. read more

Crazyyyy good. If you're craving sweets or have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you! I got the apple cinnamon, the cheesecake one, and the chocolate and banana. All super delicious! It was so light and fluffy and massive as well. Being in a touristy area, I guess the $6.20 was worth it. I missed it at first because it is down a side street and is a small little store but it is worth finding! It is behind Burger King and near the upside down house! read more

We'd had Beaver Tails before. In a dream. Somewhere. We couldn't remember when, what, or where. But we knew they were good. And so, seeing them here, we bought some. There were four of us, and thinking two would be enough, I ordered three. Apple Cinnamon, Avalanche (toffee cheesecake), and Triple Trip (peanut butter chocolate). All three were delicious and generously topped. The Apple Cinnamon may have been the closest to disappointing, tasting like canned apple pie filling with some added cinnamon. But, the warm and fresh tail went a long way to excusing that failing. If I had a suggestion or complaint, it would be that the paper gets all gloopy and you look like a fool trying to lick it off. The box in the pictures - I don't know if you have to ask for it or what, would be a better distribution method (although, I suppose they would pass the added cost of that to the consumer...). read more

This is the No.6 Triple Tip, it has fried dough with a hazelnut and peanut butter spread with Reese's pieces on top. These are wonderful. We will continue to get Beaver Tails when we come to see the falls (or anytime we are in Canada). They are very big, but they are so good you'll hesitate to share. I about flipped when I seen there was a "beavertails" here in Niagara- It was in Ottawa when I had tried these delicious doughnut concoctions!! They are so good--crazy good!! I got the cinnamon & sugar and the Nutella and bananas....yummmmmm. hot and fresh, straight out of the fryer! This is a "Must have, gotta go, try these" place when your in Niagara Falls. WAT? A form of fried dough previously unknown to me? I am so in love with these pastries! I am from the US and just had them over the weekend. It is like my favorite place I ever found on yelp. Not like it was the best food I ever ate, but, like, it's unlike any other pastry I have had, and really, how many completely different forms of fried pastry can there be??? These say they are made of whole wheat... to me they are like the child of a donut and an elephant ear. Insanely good! and messy. with a big heaping of Canada tax. We got one with the nutella and the next day one with the maple. I was like "can I have one with nutella and crack?" "Oh we put crack in all of them" That convo didn't really happen but it might as well have! I can't go, I live in Cleveland. But go have one for me. *just a recap... interesting pastry if you are in the mood. add a coffee for 1$ if you're cold. *oh and if you're 'Merican and use credit card you gotta have your chip card... but your company probably sent you a new card and it will be fine. I also heard another customer ask for a substitution and she was a bit snappy, refusing to accommodate the customers request. While the ice cream is decent, there are tons of places I can go & be treated nicer. If you no longer enjoy your job, don't take it out on customers (& I'm one of the nice ones!)

The space is kid and family friendly where it is fully accessible (stroller friendly!). There are board games you can play and a small kids corner if your children want to play with a huge connect four as well. In terms of parking, there are lots of spots throughout the parking lot. In the summer there is also a small patio to enjoy your beers and food. Menu wise, the variety of dishes include classics like a burger and poutine as well as pasta and a vegetarian banh mi. There is also a small kids menu as well. Drinks menu wise, there is a large list of beers to choose from as well as a small list of wines, ciders, and non-alcoholic options. I had a party of 5 (4 adults and 1 baby) dine at Counterpart Brewery recently. Staff were accommodating where there was a high seat available for the baby. The space is spacious although in some areas it may be harder to fit a stroller through, but either way the space is very kid and family friendly (we saw many kids and families during our time there!). Service was great and the staff were friendly. The menu is accessed through a QR code via your phone which is at the table. My party ordered the following: - Fried chicken sandwich (b&b pickles, pickled jalapenos, cabbage slaw, and sriracha mayo) - $17 - Porchetta sandwich (slow roasted Italian pork, salsa verde, crispy crackling, arugula) - $17 - House cut fries (old bay, malt vinegar aioli) - $10 - Peach Chardonnay cider from Niagara Cider Company - $10 - Grilled jerk chicken plate (grilled pineapple, house cut fries, red cabbage slaw, cilantro) - $27 I tried the fried chicken sandwich and the porchetta sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious! In terms of the fried chicken sandwich, the chicken (which was dark meat) was tender and juicy. The pickles and slaw complimented the chicken well where the sandwich didn't feel heavy. The overall sandwich wasn't spicy even though there were jalapenos and sriracha mayo. The porchetta sandwich was also great as well which was served on a ciabatta style bun. The pork was tasty and the salsa verde added so much flavour to the sandwich. The crispy crackling definitely added some textural contrast to each bite. Overall, a great place with delicious eats and friendly service! If you enjoy beer they have a great selection to choose from. The place is also very family friendly with lots of parking outside. A must try if you are in the Niagara Falls area!
