The male hairstylist gave me a smooth, layered cut at the expense of $15. He examined the shape and condition of my hair and knew exactly how to cut it in a matter of minutes. I couldn't have been any more satisfied. This place has been at its location for years and I personally feel it's unrecognized for its potential. If you're looking for something quick and simple or want something new and suiting, you should definitely give this place a try. HORRIBLE place to get your nails done. I was in town visiting from LA & decided to get my nails done to kill some time while I waited for my massage appt located in the same plaza. I usually use yelp to find great places, but this time, I decided to give this place a shot w/o looking at the reviews. Big mistake. The lady who worked on my nails did not know what she was doing. First of all, she went trigger happy on my nails w/ the nail grinder to remove my previous gel nail polish. I had to pull my hand away AT LEAST 5 times, b/c she would keep the grinder going on my nails for so long, that it would start to burn very badly. I told her that I get gel nails frequently & that my manicurists always use acetone to remove the gel. She said that acetone is bad for my skin, which is understandable, so I let her grind the gel polish off. Next, I told her I wanted gel French tip. After doing the 1st nail, I was unhappy, b/c it was crooked. Then she took regular scotch tape & tried to line my nails so that she could make it straight. I already knew that this wasn't going to work, b/c I've tried this before & the nail polish always bleeds through & it becomes sloppy. I mentioned this to her, but she mumbled something in broken English. I assumed that maybe she knew some kind of trick to make it work and let her finish all of my nails. After taking my hands out of the UV lamp, she proceeded to take the tape off. Sure enough, everything was very sloppy and the gel was set since they already went under the UV lamp. She assured me that she can fix it with the "machine." Little did I know, the aforementioned "machine" was the nail grinder. She tried cleaning up the mess by once again using & abusing the nail grinder on my nails and even after everything, my nails were as sloppy as ever! At this point, I was getting frustrated and kindly asked her to remove her horrid version of a French Manicure off my nails & just do regular nail polish. I never do this btw, but it was so unbelievably bad that I had to put my foot down. She looked annoyed & tried to convince me to keep them. I insisted on removing the gel polish. With an attitude, she used acetone to attempt to remove the gel polish. Earlier, she stated that she doesn't do that b/c it's bad for the skin, but this time, she drowned my fingers in acetone (passive-aggressive much?). After 5 min of soaking in acetone, the gel would not come off. She said that I had to soak it for 5 more min. After, the gel polish still wouldn't budge. She became frustrated & resorted to the nail grinder. Why wasn't I surprised? I let her use the grinder again, b/c at this point, I just wanted the gel polish off & be done w/ it. It was getting so ridiculous. After the gel was gone, I looked at my nails & was horrified. There were dents in my nails from when she attempted to fix the French tip w/ the grinder. (I will post a picture of them on here after I write this review so that you can see for yourselves). I was so upset & the "manicurist" knew she couldn't do anything about it so she just stayed silent & tried to file them down to make the surface as even as possible, which further thinned out my nails. To top things off, after she applied the regular nail polish, she tried to charge me the same price for the regular nail polish as she did for the gel nail polish ($25) I asked her why reg. nail polish cost the same as gel. She looked at me and said that it was $5 to remove the initial gel polish, $10 for the manicure, $5 to remove the French gel polish a second time (WHEN SHE MESSED UP), and $5 for the regular nail polish application. ARE YOU SERIOUS? She clearly tried to nickel and dime me so that the initial price would remain the same. How is she going to charge me for a terrible mistake that she made? My nails looked dreadful. I told her that I wasn't going to pay that much for messing up my nails. Then another lady that worked there interfered and said that they had to charge me for everything that they did. I showed her my nails, and she just looked at me and shrugged. I was getting more irritated by the minute. Finally, the woman who messed up my nails asked me how much I wanted to pay. I gave her $20 with no tip. I should've said $0.00, but I decided to write an honest review and post pictures instead to expose them for how they completely rip people off. When I got back to LA a couple days later, I went into my local nail salon to see if anyone could even restore my nails. Once the lady looked at my nails, she said that whoever previously did my nails did not know what she was doing & that it would take 3 months to grow out my nails back to normal. They are currently so thin & dented and I now have to wait about 3 months for my nails to go back to normal. I definitely learned my lesson. I am never going to another nail salon without reading the reviews on yelp. I think I've only written two reviews so far, but I just had to write about this place. Never ever again! read more

2 stars because the lady who owns the salon is really nice and i got my hair cut for $15 but.... As of results I was not satisfied because this is the most CHOPPIEST hair I've ever had .. my side bangs were literally straight not layered and every time i leave my hair down i have to straighten it to let it blend. I feel guilty for giving two stars , but i can not recommend her for cutting long hair. read more

Walked in on a Friday after work..... There was 4 people that all seemed to be employees sitting in the shop with no one appearing to be a patron. They we're watching TV. A guy asked if i wanted a pedicure, since i just had one i said no thanks i just need to have my acrylics removed and nails manicured. The guy told me that the lady that does acrylics isn't in. I started to walk out and walked back in to make sure he understood that i don't want acrylics just removal and a manicure.... He made it clear that he understood but still couldn't do it. Guess that explains why the shop is empty on a Friday evening. I almostfelt like i was being punked..... I apologize for not knowing the complete address, I just stumbled upon this place after eating at CrawDaddy's ( in San Jose) across the street. so this place is directly across the street from Crawdaddy's I came here for a spare of the moment hair cut and Michelle was the wonderful lady that layered my hair. She was really good, she asked what I wanted, and she repeated it before she cut off a chunk of hair. Then she asked me again to make sure the length was OK . I was very happy with the end results and will come back to her again. I was charged $20 for a hair cut. ( not bad at all) Honestly, I have no idea how they do their pricing because on the sign outside it said women's hair cut @ $7.00 So I recommend asking how much they will charge for a certain style you would like before they get started so you wont be surprised at the end price! . My 4 year old daughter also got her toes painted while I got my hair worked on. Her little toes turned out cute.. and we were charged $10 for her little toes to be painted with a little flower on each big toe. ( in my opinion that was a little pricey).. usually when I get my nails done elsewhere they charge about 5 bucks for my little ones toes. But all in all it was worth it seeing my daughters happy face as she got a "big girl pedi" we were both happy customers. Will come again for a hair cut.. but for a pedi, maybe elsewhere read more

worst pedi-mani ever! their station was nasty... and my feet were soaking in some cold ass water. then they broke my nails because they didn't let my nails soak long enough to remove the gel from my nails. THEN ... then my new gel color started bubbling and spotting... and I had to tell her to fix it.. they don't hire to do gel nail colors, they cracked already!.. Overall HORRIBLE service. ruined my mother's day mani- pedi. ohh they could tell I was pissed off but didn't even offer me a discount... almost felt like walking out without paying. read more
