HIDDEN GEM While on…read moremy merry way to pick up something from the print shop next door, I noticed a walk-in coffee shop. Without having huge expectations, I ordered a coffee. It was great. I went back the second time and that's where the excitement began. Instead of going in to order quickly, I took a gander around and noticed there's a whole clean, spacious, aesthetic seating area! This coffee shop is a beautiful hidden gem and I am so grateful it's in Goodyear! The coffee? 1000% better than your favorite Starbucks or Dutch Bros drink (trust me, their coffee/tea literally sparkles if your request it; and I'm not being figurative here). I didn't know I wanted my coffee to be beautiful until I came here. The choices of drinks they offer are endless--nitro, cold foam, SO many types of flavors and delicious sweeteners. Don't enjoy your coffee sweet? Cool, they'll make it "half sweet," or none at all. Go ahead and customize your drink; they're experts. The atmosphere? Spacious and calm enough to bring your work from home materials to a table in the lobby / have a friendly conversation at one of the comfortable seating arrangements. The employees? Everyone from the back of the house staff (cooks, coffee gurus, etc.) to the customer service at the front desk are obviously happy to work there; they're friendly and great at their jobs. Lastly--not that this is even required at a coffee/tea shop--but, the food is delicious. Every detail of what Enroute offers is intentional and has been carefully curated. The turkey avocado sandwich with fries is my new favorite Friday lunch treat. You can order honey mustard, ranch, or red pepper aioli dip, which is all made from scratch. You won't get frozen foods or Hidden Valley Ranch packets at this coffee/tea shop location. Only the very best. If you can't tell, I highly recommend! Thank you for the attention to detail, Enroute team. We can tell you're putting your heart into it.

It's in downtown Avondale in a historic how that's part of the cities history. I ordered an egg herb and cheese bollo. I had never heard of it before. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I will definitely be back for another one. I enjoyed their tea also. I came here for their weekly event for "Fiber and Friends" and worked on my crochet project. It was a nice cozy relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect place to meet with a friend.

Coldwater grows, bakes, and serves its own food using local produce from its urban garden and ingredients sourced from small-scale farmers and producers to craft scratch-made meals, hand-shaped breads, and brewed drinks. They are also a worker-owned cooperative. Coldwater is housed inside a cute and cozy house. There's plenty of seating. In addition to coffee, breakfast, pastries, and more, they also sell produce and baked goods. I was greeted right away. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder as well as an eggs, herbs, and cheese bollo. I learned that a bollo is a hand-stuffed soft brioche dough filled with eggs, local meats, and seasonal ingredients. It was served warm and was delicious! My latte was also wonderful. Highly recommend checking out this great, locally-owned coffeehouse!

The space itself is beautiful, the staff explained the options counter versus table when I walked in, and there isn't super loud music making it great to work or study. I had fresh squeezed orange juice which was super reasonably priced, I feel like most places charge around $8 and it was $5. There is a service staff that comes and checks on you and brought water to our table and cleared it off. For food, we split the Reuben. The portion was perfect for 2 for us. I honestly didn't even think I liked Reuben's but my friend wanted it and I would definitely eat this again. We ordered 2 lattes to try, Caramel and pumpkin. We preferred the caramel to be fair I'm more of a cold brew girl (because I don't love milk) but they were out this day. Overall this is a great space. They also offer cocktails but I didn't try one. My coworker and I loved the space and will definitely return.

The exterior yells tax attorney but inside we were welcomed by the modern greenery and natural light as we walked through the corridors. These luxury office spaces have glass walls, high end fixtures and beautiful soaring ceilings. In the middle of this building Mark Tarbell has "cultivated" a gourmet menu of coffees, alcoholic beverages, breakfast and lunch bites. After scanning the QR code on our table top, we placed our orders and paid. The gentleman at the bar was attentive and kindly answered our questions-even my nerdy inquiry about the food items. "Were they prepared prior or at a commissary?" He replied "No. All the food is made fresh on site in the full kitchen just down the hall." While sitting and taking in the pretty skylights, I noticed other patrons working on their laptops in the elevated seating area. Some conversing with others including Mark Tarbell, himself! Am I ever happy that we picked the grilled steak burrito for $19 and the in house made potato chips and dill dip for $8. I loved the generous portion of juicy steak with charred tomatoes, arugula and potatoes. The wild mushrooms and caramelized onion perfected the taste for what was the best beef burrito for me! The potatoes were cubed to a perfect ratio. Not too large where other places have big chunks of the starch that dominates sections of the wrap. Not too shabby was the fresh cooked kennebec potato chips and tasty dip. The chips were a bit greasy but still crisp and the dill dip was tasty. I ordered a cortado with oat milk and it was outstanding. Past experiences at other bistros have left me in doubt when ordering a coffee beverage but I loved my velvety smooth cortado here! Delicious! Perhaps I can work on Yelp reviews while dining again at this chic place! Tip-Presently, Cultivate is only open on weekdays.
