Was looking forward to stopping in for a coffee and a possible bite to eat after a long hike since last time I came over I didn't have time to pick anything up after checking out the Star Tower nearby. Unfortunately it was more bad than good. Let's start with the good. It's easy to get to. Once you see the star tower it's the first driveway. The outdoor patio is nice. They offer corn hole out on the small grass area and a view of mountains with a few trails. It is connected to a welcome center for the track homes. The sandwich was good and I'll get to it in more detail soon. The cons were huge for me. I was happy to see cold brew as an option and they offer HWC as well. So I ordered my go to cold brew, sf vanilla and asked for a TINY splash of cream. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich called the breakfast cronnini that comes on a croissant with fried egg, Gouda and ham. The croissant is grilled. Service was mediocre at best. While there were three employees working they were more focused on talking to each other than anything else. The cashier managed a meh hello. After paying and tip it was about $20. There was one person ahead of me and isn't take too long to get my items. Unfortunately the cold brew "coffee" if you could call it that was wrong the second I saw it. You coffee drinkers know what I mean. Instant sight of it. It was so light it was like they poured a gallon of HWC inside with a splash of cold brew. They were focused on making three orders after mine that I decided not even to waste my breath at this point. Definitely won't be back. It left a bad taste in my mouth literally. One sip and felt like I was drinking milk. Ugh.

Very good! I got the caramel macchiato iced and the Turkey Sausage Sammie! My macchiato was good and my Turkey Sausage Sammie was okay. I tried my mom's Dubai Latte and Breakfast Cronnini and they were tasty! I will order those next time I come here!

Besides the coffee, the selling point of this place is the great atmosphere. There are many nooks and crannies around the entire facility where you could sit and have some semblance of privacy. The fireplace is great. This place is shared with the commerce center and I can see why they did that. The Estrella Star Tower is not connected to them directly but their parking is where you'd go to if you wanted to walk up the tower. Their outside area has a mini xeriscape garden with a variety of plants. Not owned by the cafe but it happens to be in the vicinity. The employees have a great attitude. I visited in winter but if you were here in the dead of summer, I'd imagine the AC is wonderful inside.

i Stopped for coffee with a friend, the coffee and beverage choices were plentiful, something for everyone. The ambiance is just beautiful sitting outside overlooking the Estrella Mtns or inside backed up to a warm inviting fire, I really enjoyed relaxing here. First time visit, this is a hidden gem located in Estrella Mountain Ranch. Also ordered the Bebida burrito to go! Egg, cheese, chorizo and potatoes. They actually cook on a panini press and boy were they good. Staff attentive and well covered. Great service.

The Cafe Bebida was hidden and not much signage. But boy the service was top notch and the food was fantastic. Coffee brew freshly as were the lattes. Overall if your in Goodyear area check this place out!

    Lots of outside seating available

Love this hidden gem. First off they use monin syrups which are the best so getting my toasted marshmallow syrup was a great start! They have quite a variety of breakfast sandwiches on English muffins, burritos, hummus or panini sandwhiches to eat and I loved they were all hand made. Having food allergies and being able to take things off made it so I had way more to choose from. They were knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and very quick with our orders. There are many places to chose from for seating whether you want inside, a table, a bar top, a couch area with fire pit area. Loved it was hidden and quiet, got to sit in the sun and enjoy family time with delicious coffee and a real sandwhich that wasn't prepackaged and loaded with preservatives.

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses. Better yet, support local businesses that are doing things the right way. Get to know the owners. Get to know the staff. Places like New Penny don't just serve food and coffee--they create gathering places. One of my favorite local businesses, and one that my family will continue to support.

This is a smaller restaurant with limited waiting space inside, so some guests had to wait in their cars and check back for their table. The waiting area near the host stand was a little warm, although it felt much cooler once we were seated thanks to the ceiling fans. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was working properly. We did have to wait a little while before our waitress came to our table, but once she greeted us, she answered our questions about the menu. The hostess also offered some great recommendations, which we appreciated. We ordered the Waffletto Sandwich, the Mexican Omelette (which comes with a salad), the Chicken & Waffles, and two flavored lemonades. The Waffletto Sandwich was good, but for the price, I would have liked a little more meat. My recommendation would actually be to order one of their regular breakfast plates, which includes a half Belgian waffle along with eggs, meat, and hash browns. It seems like a better value and gives you more food for your money. My daughter really enjoyed the Mexican omelette and said it was very flavorful. The Chicken & Waffles were also tasty, although I personally would have preferred fewer onion strings on top of the waffle. I also think chicken wings or tenders would pair better with the waffle than the chicken breast that was served. The biggest disappointment was the lemonade pricing. The menu clearly listed the flavored lemonades for $5, but when we received our bill, we were charged $7.50 each. We brought this to our waitress's attention, and she explained that the higher price was due to the flavoring, syrup, and free refills. However, none of that was explained on the menu, nor were we informed about it when ordering. If the menu advertises a drink for $5, customers should either be charged that price or the menu should clearly state any additional charges. Accurate pricing is important, and management should ensure that the menu reflects the correct prices to avoid confusion and disappointment. If the current price is $7.50, the menu should be updated accordingly. Otherwise, customers should be charged the advertised price. Another thing that wasn't communicated was that the flavored lemonades include free refills. We only learned this after questioning our bill. Once we found out, we were able to get refills in to-go cups before leaving, which was a nice bonus. So, if you order one of their lemonades, be sure to ask for a refill or a to-go cup before you leave. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and there were a few dishes we liked. With better communication about menu pricing and drink refills, along with ensuring menu prices are accurate, the overall dining experience would have been much better.

The host stand felt cold and unwelcoming, and the overall energy outside was a little off-putting. To be fair, the hostess was polite when she interacted with us directly, but the first impression was not warm. Once we were seated, Miguel turned the whole experience around. Since we are vegetarian, we have to ask extra questions about sauces, stocks, and hidden meat ingredients. Miguel was extremely helpful with navigating the menu and made sure the items with meat stock were removed or avoided. That kind of care matters a lot. The food was also pretty good. I had the South of the Border Omelette, and my wife had the burrito. Both were solid, and Miguel's service made us feel taken care of instead of like we were being difficult for asking questions. Good food, excellent service from Miguel, and a much better experience once we got past the initial welcome.

Being a resident I drop in here about every five years and while consistent in their offerings, it also consistently "meh". We brought our pup and the service from Miguel was attentive and helpful even bringing a bowl of water for our pup. The location and ambiance is quiet and intimate (I suggest sitting outside when it's nice) and is much bugger than it looks. Coffee taste like Folgers and while each plate has a lot of ingredients, it doesn't have a lot of taste. We ordered the Lady Litchfield Omelette and breakfast burrito and while generous in portion the irony of the dishes was interesting. The omelette was chock full of veggies and minimal egg to wrap them, the burrito had a ton of egg and tortilla but minimal ingredients to taste. At the End of the Day I just don't feel like the experience warranted the $16+ price tag per meal. I'll come back in five more years and see if anything has changed.

Now I have the time since I won't be able to eat the rest of my food. I ordered over the phone and was told the food would take 15 minutes. I ordered 5 pieces of the Fish Fry and double fries and my girlfriend got the Hatch Chili Burger and upgraded to Sweet Potato fries for $2+ dollars. I live 2 minutes away down the street. I left 20 minutes after my order was made. When I get there I tell the cashier I have a to-go order and he has me pay. After I finish paying, he walks away without saying a word to me and starts sweeping the floor. I just wait and we make eye contact multiple times and he doesn't say anything. I assumed my food was ready because it had already been 25 minutes since I ordered. I realized maybe it's not ready, my mistake, I sit down in the table near the counter. He's watching me sit down and the literal exact moment I sit down he yells out that my order is ready. And when I get up to go get it, that's when he starts putting it in the bag. He doesn't go to the kitchen or anything so I don't know if my order was just sitting there this whole time and he was just waiting for me to sit down for some reason? I'm in no rush so I don't care its been 35 minutes at this point so I give him the benefit of the doubt still, and move on. Stacks the tartar sauce as he's trying to put everything in the bag and the stack falls over and a sauce falls on the floor. He looks at me and looks at the floor then he looks around the sauce drawer and puts another 3rd sauce which I assumed was another tartar sauce. It ended up being ranch. I wouldn't have cared if he just told me that he was out of tartar sauce but I guess trying to deceive me with ranch is a better option. At this point I would've still given a 4 STAR or even 5 STAR review if the food held up because it's a local business and I don't want some weird bald guy deter people from good food. After my 2 minute drive home we opened our containers that held extremely soggy and half cold sweet potato fries. I ordered double fries with my fish so my pile of fries were double soggy and partly cold too. I ate 2 pieces of Fish Fry and they were alright. I would've ordered them again and I was excited because I had a huge piece of fish fry I was going to have next. However I realized it was 2 pieces of fish fry stuck together causing the stuck sides to be soggy and have semi uncooked breading. The biggest piece I was excited for was the biggest disappointment. The only saving grace was the Hatch Chili Burger. The beef patties were soft and cooked well, unlike the last 3 pieces of fish fry. We spent $40 dollars on the entire thing. And we only ate the burger and 2 fish from the meals. Super convenient location for food that I will be completely avoiding in the future. TLDR: Bad service if bald guy is there. Was told 15 minutes but food took around 30-35 minutes. Let's you guess if your food is ready or not after he has you pay. Waits for you to sit down to tell you it's ready when it was possibly just sitting infront of him. Drops tartar sauce and tries to sneak ranch instead of just telling me that he can't/doesn't wanna replace it. Get home, half of order is soggy&cold. ALL fries including upcharged fries were soggy. Only Hatch Chili Burger was good. SPENT $40 and it was 2 meals that were less than mediocre overall. Normally I can ignore most bad service/attitudes but this dude sucked and doesn't like to communicate with customers. Below are photos of what I thought was a "big piece" of fish fry flipped around and then after I separate the two pieces.

We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. The family pool was extremely crowded with children, which is expected for a family-friendly resort. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which was much quieter and child-free. Unfortunately, the adult pool area felt like an afterthought compared to the family side. Several tiles in the pool were broken, giving the area a worn and somewhat neglected feel. The lounge chairs were not as nice as those at the family pool, and the cabanas also seemed less inviting and less maintained. The food and beverage experience was another disappointment. There was no traditional menu available at the adult pool. Instead, you had to scan a QR code on the drink menu to access food options and then call in your order yourself. It felt inconvenient and took away from the relaxing resort experience. One bright spot was the poolside service. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the day. She did a great job and provided excellent customer service. While the adult pool provided a quieter atmosphere, it lacked the quality and amenities I expected.

It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.
