We saw Instagram ads for this place and knew we had to go! Wow...really really good! Excellent service and food! The owners were there and not only super attentive but really nice and helpful! Our food was amazing. I of course had to try the pasta in the huge wheel of cheese and it was incredible! This is a small restaurant with limited parking so I highly recommend getting reservations. Cannot say enough good things about this place!! And cannot wait to go back!!

This experience was insane. I legit felt like I was transported to Italy. The place looks super small from the outside but it's so unassuming - so much space in there AND an outdoor bar. We asked the waiter & owner to surprise us and they really did. They brought out all these dishes starting with exquisite white wine (to match the seafood spread) to an authentic Caprese salad to a charcuterie board (with paintbrushes for different honeys & cheeses) to tuna tartare (INSANE never had anything like it) to authentic shrimp scampi (with squid ink pasta) to tableside farfalle to table side tiramisu. We ended the night being led to their outdoor bar where the rest of the patrons were chilling before leaving. We also got to see the wine cellar which seemed like stepping into another world. What a wonderful small business. Will recommend to everyone & be back A LOT.

Outstanding Italian food... in Florida? Absolutely After years of searching for authentic Italian cuisine in the Sunshine State, a few local friends of Italian descent let us in on their local best kept secret. We were absolutely not let down, in fact we were blown away! REAL Olive Oil on the tables. Warm crusty bread instantly brought to the table. Fresh hand-made pasta. Soft tender veal. Outstanding service. Roses brought to the women after dinner. Every aspect of dining at Beccofino was absolutely IMPECCABLE. However, the best part of our Beccofino experience came AFTER dinner having home-made Limoncello with the owners on the private cantina behind the restaurant. Beccofino is more than a restaurant, its an experience. Why are you still reading this? Hurry and GO!

This restaurant is my favorite authentic Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect for intimate dinners such as date night or anniversary celebrations. The food was delicious and the experience is what ties everything together. The table-side Cacio e pepe was creamy, cheesy and comforting. The highlight of the evening was the table side tiramisu. Best in Tampa!

What a gem in South Tampa! Mozzarella Caprese and spring mix salad were fresh. Shrimp special was prepared table side with flambé, flavors were amazing. Grilled mix...lamb, ribeye, quail... all meats were cooked perfectly and delicious. Atmosphere was fun, very Italian. Owners were entertaining. Don't sleep on this spot. Worth a try!!

Wow! BeccoFino is definitely an immersive dining experience! Reservations are a must and I recommend the first seating at 6 pm. Open Wednesday - Saturday. A non-assuming house with limited parking and we arrived 10 til 6 and a line was forming. Doors unlock at 6 sharp. Everybody was excited and looking forward to our dinners! One by one we were seated and large groups in front room and smaller groups in back room. Decor could use some updating but deeply rooted in Italian heritage. The lead waiter gave the group the specials of night along with the new menu. I ordered the special prawns cooked table side with orange and cognac with a side of asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Hubby had the Elk chop (never seen Elk available in the area before) with yucca mash. The meal was outstanding and every bite a treat. I had the best brute prosecco 3 times followed by the homemade flan for dessert. The owners are delightful and service was excellent. Don't be in a hurry. Meals are prepared as ordered and a small staff so patience is needed but worth it. No liquor but amazing wine selection and regular beverages. A fun night was enjoyed by all!!

I'll say, I was nervous to come here based on some of the reviews. But hey, if you're the type to ask for a side of ketchup with your filet mignon, just skip this place. I'll start with the ambiance and service :: it's a hole in the wall on the side of macdill. It has a charming, old Italian feel. I felt like I was in my grandmothers dining room. The staff were kind and gave great recommendations. It's definitely a family affair here and you definitely need to make reservations in advance. Now the food :: spectacular from start to end! I've been on a mission to find the best Italian in Tampa bay and this place is up there. Our starter, the hot Calabria spread was superb. It was a salty, spicy salami delight on fresh fluffy bread. Up next were the mains. I had the pappardelle al tartufo per the recommendation of our waiter and it did not disappoint! Had a taste of the lamb chops. They were tender and delicious. The chocolate mousse and tiramisu were the perfect night cap. The whole dinner was a full experience. We still talk about it to this day. I highly recommend if you're looking for an intimate Italian experience...it's more than just a meal at BECCOFINO

Definitely overpriced. The food quality is not consistent on two occasions two months between ordered the same dishes and it tasted nothing like it did the time before. Salty. Small portions, huge $$. The staff is nice but wouldn't return. This pasta dish was like 30 $40 and it had barely any noodles, no protein. Honestly, if someone ordered that they would definitely be hungry after getting that entrée. I forgot how much the steak was but that's what you get. I mean it was expensive. Ordered a few more dishes, but didn't even care to take pictures. The muscles app were so salty.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian place, look no further! The husband and wife own it and have such an intimate vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious and the pasta was so fresh! Definitely has excellent quality food. I'll definitely go back and try other dishes! Just to note, they serve wine and no hard alcohol. What I ordered: - Tagliere: 4 cheeses, 4 charcuteries, bruschettas n pate', fruits, confit, Honey - Polipo Striato: Imported Octopus boiled in herbs Sicilian Style Charbroiled, in our citronette foam over pickled seaweed - Half-dozen Oysters - Michelangelo salad: Spring mix with pine nuts and shaved parmigiano - *Speical - Lobster spaghetti - Tortelli del Mugello: Homemade stuffed ravioli with savory Venison/wild boar Tuscan ragu - Sicilian Cannoli

When we arrived, we were told there would be a short wait because a few tables had paid but hadn't left yet. About 15 minutes passed, but every staff member was incredibly kind throughout the process. They even came outside and brought us complimentary champagne to apologize, which immediately set the tone for the night. We hadn't even sat down yet, and they had already made us feel valued. From the moment we walked inside, the atmosphere was incredible. The energy, the ambiance, and the service exceeded every expectation I had for my first Michelin restaurant experience. Our server, Elijah, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, intentional, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. Sophie also gave fantastic wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our entrées. The mozzarella cart is an absolute must. There is no reason to visit Rocca and skip it. While it was being prepared, we had the opportunity to talk with Mason about life, goals, and dreams, and it felt like talking with an old friend. Later, after mentioning how much we loved the music, Kingston came over, found out we were in town for the J. Cole concert, and played J. Cole throughout the rest of the evening. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more memorable. To top it off, the restaurant brought us additional complimentary bites as another apology for the initial wait, even though we already felt they had gone above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Two people in our group have spent significant time in Italy, and both said it was the best Italian food they've had anywhere in America. We finished the evening with espresso, stayed until closing, and never once felt rushed. In fact, we were told they would happily stay all night if we wanted to keep enjoying ourselves. Thank you to Elijah, Sophie, Mason, Kingston, and everyone at Rocca for creating such an unforgettable evening. If I'm ever within two hours of Tampa again, I'll be coming back. God bless you all.

The service was a little on the slower side, which we wouldn't mind as much if the gnats outside weren't eating us alive. They have fans, but the one table we sat at was where the fan didn't reach. Starting out with wine and bread for the table. Fantastic touch. Moving onto Cesar salads with cracked pepper on top. Fresh, light, just enough. Moving into the next round, pear sacchetti and meatballs. First off. Absolute killer way to start a meal but the chef/owner/MAN OF THE HOUR, treaded us so unbelievably well and we found out at this part of the meal that he was there to make the night special. Brought out extra on both of the items above to ensure everybody got a fair share and tasted the excellence that he plated for us. Moving on, entrees, 3 daily lasagna specials, a seafood linguini and finally, my meal...the man of the hour (I regret not getting his name) threw me an absolute bone. I asked if I should go gnocchi or carbonara when I ordered and he said "let me surprise you". My man came out with a half and half combo and didnt cut back on the portions. Truly excellent service. From the awkwardness at checking in to the disappointment with the food, we leave dissatisfied which is unfortunate. The parking is tight but we were able to find a spot. Walked in and nobody at the front so we waited and someone did come. Not really welcomed, just walked up and asked for our name. Gave our reservation name and time. We were a bit early. Told to hang at the bar until the table was ready. We just sat upfront. Made it to the table and seating was tight. I felt like I was in the conversation of the party next to us. Service was ok - server was polite and professional. Took our drink and food order but really didn't check back in on us frequently. The valentine menu included a starter, a soup or salad, a main entrée and a dessert per person. I ordered the artichoke dip as my starter, tomato soup, the blackened mahi and for dessert, the chocolate mousse cake. Artichoke dip was the winner of the evening. It was very good and plentiful so we actually boxed and took home to enjoy. The tomato soup came out next and was so salty that it was not edible. The soup and the artichoke dip sat on the table for a while before the waitress came over to check in on us. When she did come over we advised we wanted the artichoke dip boxed, but the tomato soup was overly salty, like the container of salt fell into the soup. The individuals at the table next to us agreed that the soup was not able to be eaten due to the salt level, the server basically apologized and said there was nothing that they could do given it was a set menu, which was very disappointing that they did nothing to either resolve the issue or offer a salad in place of the soup give we could not eat the salad. Since the meal was prepaid, they should've done something to fix, but the messaging was basically like oh you're SOL. Like I took your money now deal with it. On to the mahi -- it was supposed to be served over coconut lime rice however it was more like a firm block of mushy porridge. Like the rice, maybe had been sitting in water or something all day not sure but it was gross and it had no flavor. The fish was also overcooked because it wasn't flaky and I think that it lacked flavor as well. I ended up boxing it and not even eating it whenever we got home. I think the trash can enjoyed it more than I did. We were full and basically over the experience so we got our desserts to go. Hubs ordered the poundcake and I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. Got home, put everything in the fridge except for the desserts, sat down on the couch to enjoy our desserts and mine was missing!! I had a takeout container that had the whipped cream and a little thing of chocolate mousse in it but no cake. WTHeck man!? It was icing on the cake or the cherry on top for the evening we experienced at this point. Let's just say that based on all the reviews for this place, we expected better and were quite disappointed. Especially for the cost of the prefix menu. I truly believe that a higher quality should've been had given this was one of the busiest days of the year to win people over.
