We went here for a Friday night date night and we were not disappointed! We had a reservation for 830pm but got there a little early and they still sat us down prior to our reservation time. The atmosphere felt formal but also rustic in the sense that they kept a lot of the charm from the original cigar building making it feel industrial but also classy with the additions of chandelier lightings and the pillars added. The staff were friendly and our server was very chatty and offered recommendations and was able to answer questions we had about ingredients in some of the dishes we ordered. We wanted to sample a few things so we ordered the Calamari, Gambino Shrimp, Meatballs Della Nana, and Ravioli Di Ricotta. The Calamari was good, but could have been a bit crispier. The Gambino Shrimp was Amazing! The butter sauce it is served in should be a side dish on its own. The mix of ingredients made it lush and reminded me of lobster tail soaked in butter. We ended up pouring the remaining sauce on top of the Calamari. The Ravioli was a perfect size to split and had just enough filling in comparison to pasta. The Meatballs were huge and moist. I think that we will absolutely be back in the future!

Amazing service today at Casa Santo Stefano! We tried the famous salad, eggplant side dish, abs split the pollo Marsala. Everything was so amazing! The salad dressing was yummy, eggplant had an awesome mix of flavors and the sauce on the Marsala was epic! They brought our entree out already split up which was really nice. The ambiance is super cool- Like old world Spain and so charming. This is a great place to enjoy an evening anytime!

**GOAT ALERT** - Pizza Parlor Giant Italian Salad What a great hidden gem way over at the end of Ybor. I have been to Columbia Restaurant a few blocks here from a bunch. Finally decided to give Casa Santo Stefano a shot. Holy smokes, I should have been coming here more. I was blown away by the cocktails and the food. The couple next to me ordered the Pizza Parlor Giant Italian Salad. They go the regular order for $16. It was a giant mound of food. Like going to a buffet and seeing how high you can get food onto your plate. I decided I would like to try the $9 side salad version. Even this size was plenty large enough. I freaking loved it. It tastes similar to the Columbia Restaurant 1905 Table side salad. This is a must order. The first cocktail I tried was the $18 Fumari (Old Fashioned). Right on point with 1 giant ice cube. Smelled like great care was taken in making the drink exactly perfect. The next cocktail I tried was the $16 espresso martini. The one here is made with real espresso, not out of a can, and it tastes so much better this way. There's a special type of rim and just a different tasting espresso than the standard one at most restaurants. I liked it. And the last cocktails I tried was off the menu, but just a $14 dirty martini. It was so good I ordered 2. I love it when these drinks are made correctly. For my entree I had the $18 Hot Honey Pizza. I loved the crust, I love hot honey, not the most packed pizza with toppings though. I will definitely be back to try other food items. This is a great place to start the night as the cocktails were 10/10 superb. And that salad is to die for. Super small bar area, but it was jam packed all night.

Oof. I still dream about the dish whose photo that I included in this. It was a special gnocchi dish with a hot chili sauce on top. It was creamy, it was spicy; a phenomenal combination. Came here for a celebration of friends and the space was roomy enough and cozy. Casa Santo Stefano was able to accommodate us all. The drinks came out in a timely manner with no delay, as well as our appetizers and entrées. They do have a rotating menu and specials that I certainly recommend to take a look at.

    It's Ybor... you knew there'd be chickens/roosters! February 2026

You know that rush you get, the first time you go somewhere that hadn't been on your radar for some reason-and you immediately fall in love? Yes! This was one of those places. A fun lunch with friends left me crushing hard on Stefano. I'm all twirly and giddy!. I mean, they had me at free parking. Yes! In Ybor! And there are two lots-right by the restaurant! Swoon! Then there's the decor-a modern take on traditional, OG Tampa. It was bright, light, colorful, somewhat industrial, true to the Gonzmart brand. It's very Ybor-but with a fresh spin. I could just sit here and soak up the atmosphere (and cocktails-the limonata is refreshing and fun)-but let's talk food! It starts with a very tasty bread service. I could do that all day, too. But you can't fill up-this menu is too good. I seriously considered the grouper. It had to be great. But at the last second, I went with chicken Marsala. WOW!!!! I was blown away with how good it is-a generous portion-smothered in perfectly balanced sauce. I scraped some of that off-but good gravy, it's tasty! This is a dish I rarely order anywhere-and like the rest of this experience, I fell hard for it. I know I'll need to try more items during what I expect to be many, many future visits-but I have revisit this entree often. We were there for lunch on a Saturday. No waiting with a reservation. It was bustling but not chaotic. The vibe was vibrant but relaxed. I almost felt like I was on vacation-such sunny energy. I'm breathless (and hungry) just telling you all of this. I know Stefano will go into regular rotation. So much to eat, drink, photograph! And did I mention free parking?! Delicious! See you there!

We came to Casa Santos Stefano for Mother's Day and it was amazing! We love how the restaurant was set up and how friendly the staff was. We made a reservation which I recommend if it's there in a holiday. But I believe if you walked in, you probably would've still been seated within 30 to 45 minutes. Next time we come, we will like to have the table at sit next to the open kitchen because that set up was really nice! The food was really good. We love the mussels and they give you plenty of muscle mussels!! the Sears I had was pretty good but next time I'll get the other fish dish that have more flavor to it. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my sister's food, but she had a pizza that was really good and the server told us that it took a longer than it should've because the chef wanted to remake it because it wasn't up to their standards. That shows a lot about how they run their business! I'll definitely be back here for more Sicilian food and bring other others.

Such an incredible Sicilian restaurant! Everyone that works there is Sicilian too, so you know the food is authentic! I recommend their artichokes, veal, and eggplant parm, it was very tasty and filling. Our waiters name was Valerio, he was super nice! He brought my friend and I complimentary bread that was absolutely delicious! We were stuffed by the end of the night, no room for dessert! I'm sure their dessert options are epic though!

    Tiffany R.

Wow wow and wow I would definitely mark this as a must eat spot. The Sicilian drink was amazing, refreshing and with tequila and sparkling wine it really did transport me to the ocean The Cesar salad wasn't my favorite on this trip, but don't get me wrong it was not bad at all. But the spaghetti bolognese holllly molly. I mean the portion was gigantic The flavors damnnnnnn. It really feels like Nona was back there making the sauce I will come back again and again. The venue is clean. Service great. My server Gianmarco was attentive and great. Give that guy a raise

Only coming to Ybor for beer, literally, in the past I had no clue about Casa Santo Stefano or Columbia which are owned by the same people. I thought it would be this small cozy place, and, well, it's not. The place is huge. The decor is amazing. Reservations are more than suggested. From start to finish the meal was amazing. My main of Merluzzo Pesto Siciliano was perfect. The MEATBALLS DELLA NANA - Blend of pork and beef meatballs gently braised in house-made tomato sauce, Pecorino Romano cheese and INSALATA DI CESARE - Romaine lettuce with classic Caesar dressing, garlic croutons, shaved pecorino Romano to start were great. Yet, the real surprise was the portion sizing and pricing. Extremely generous portions at very fair prices. Go by the dollar here and you will be taking a lot home. There is a private parking lot right across from the entrance though I Ubered here. Though I definitely will be back I also need to try Columbia too!

My friends and I like to get together for lunch at places where we can get good food and drinks and not feel rushed. This is one of those places. This was the first time a couple of us dined here but our one friend has been here several times. They open early for lunch so we got in at 1130am which was great because we wanted to be able to be out of Ybor before things got too busy for the Knight parade. My friend secured a nice half circle booth so we could sit like "the Rat Pack." The restaurant is beautiful, old school Mediterranean charm with new school sensibilities (ie. Great big windows with lots of light.) Us newbies tried the Limonata to start. Tart and deliciously refreshing. We later moved on to wines bybthe glass. They have a very good selection of wine by the glass. Bread is brought to the table so you have something to nibble on while trying to determine what to order. I was debating between the artichoke appetizer and the vegetable pizza and I went with the pizza and a side portuon of the Pizza Parlor salad, which is close to the Columbia's 1905 salad but slightly different and very delicious. Why are salads in restaurants so much better than salads at home? The pizza was charred perfectly and had a great mix of veggies. I went home with some leftover for later. I do not think one could go wrong with anything on the menu. I definitely want to come back, especially on a weekend night when the roof top bar is open! Also, I forgot to mention there are a lot of parking lots owned by the Columbia and Casa Santo Stefano so if they aren't too busy you can get free parking (always a plus!)

A little off the beaten path of Ybor which is an area not for the faint of heart. We started out with drinks on the rooftop which is cigar friendly with nice sunset views. Service was excellent from the bar despite there being a private event at the same time. The bartenders Sean and Jack were outstanding. We ended up staying for dinner which was amazing. Some of the best Italian we've had. And the focaccia bread was superb! Overall an excellent place that is worth the slight distance away from the heart of Tampa.

My friend and I came here for desserts The lemon vanilla cake is my favorite and my friend enjoyed hers as well. We were given a very nice slice for each of us . I also had a cappuccino with my cake. The ambiance was very nice. We were able to talk and catch up and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

My family went for dinner and had a great experience. First the restaurant is In a good location. Right in Ybor City. It was very busy and the staff was hustling getting everyone taken care of. Our waiter, Carlos did a good job during a busy dinner time frame. All of our food came out appropriately and prepared correctly.

What do you has to ask me as a question?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Is your pasta homemade or package?

Their menu states they have homemade black ink spaghetti, they also offer Imported Sicilian casarecce pasta, and the rest of their pasta is packaged.

Is there outdoor seating prior to 5pm?

I believe so! It's suggested you call to make a reservation however. They often fill up quickly.

Do they have gluten free pasta? Or, at least gluten free options? Thanks in advance!

They have a web site and a posted menu.

What appetizers & entrees do the chef/business owner recommend?

At the time that I went, I did take out & the bartender actually help me. She was good recommending.

The restaurant sounds amazing. Just curious about the noise level. Is it very loud and difficult to hear people at your table?

It was just fine at lunch. I think right now with lower seating capacity that shouldn't be an issue. There was music playing but low volume.

A friend had clued me in that this was the best pizza that Tampa had to offer, so a group of us who either currently live in or formerly lived in NJ went to try it out to see if it measures up. The place gives off old school vibes, with plenty of New York sports pictures, jerseys, and memorabilia up on the walls, as well as having that distinct smell of a proper NJ area pizzeria that sets your expectations pretty high. We wanted to try out a variety of items, so we started off with the mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. The mozzarella sticks (3/5) were forgettably average, with minimal taste in the breading and served up with an underwhelming tomato sauce (wasn't a proper marinara sauce). The garlic knots (4.5/5) were highly impressive, served piping hot in a very unique pull-apart portion. It was delicious and the texture of it was just right, though one minor critique was that the accompanying sauce was more butter with a lesser garlic taste than I'm used to (more emphasis on olive oil & garlic, and less emphasis on butter back home in NJ). The pizza (3.75/5) was probably one of the best I've had in the state of Florida, with a combination of good tasting crust, sauce, and cheese reminiscent of flavors of a proper Jersey pizzeria. The base was cooked to perfection, and we were happy to have tried it out shortly after it came out of the oven. While there was a touch of excess oil on the pizza surface and it would get lost in mediocrity if it was served up in NJ, I found it highly impressive for Florida pizza, as it sure to satisfy any pizza craving. Service (5/5) was excellent from staff checking in on customers regularly with an enthusiastic and helpful energy. Santoro's Pizzeria is a spot I would return to, and would recommend them to others looking for quality pizza (and garlic knots) in Tampa.

As with our first visit (my first review is somewhere below), everything was phenomenal. We chose a few different items this time to share and were again impressed with each. We love that you order your entire meal at once and the staff perfectly courses out the meal for you. Last night, we had the waygu carpaccio, the tableside mozzarella, cappallacci al'aragosta (lobster pasta), pesce alla ligure (branzino), and the bistecca (waygu beef strip). The carpaccio was absolutely fantastic. The mushroom "relish" under the beef was the star accompaniment with its salty goodness. The tableside mozzarella was unique and probably the best cheese I've ever had. It is made fresh tableside and then plated as a nice caprese salad with yummy, locally grown tomatoes, flaky sea salt, basil, Spanish olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. Simply incredible. The lobster pasta was inventive and tasty. This was coursed out between the mozzarella and our main dishes and was the perfect way for each of us to try it. The waygu beef strip was cooked to perfection (med rare), sliced and plated with some crispy beef fat bits (hubby loved!), a chimichurri sauce and roasted garlic. The steak was absolutely delicious and the chimichurri sauce was a nice addition. The branzino was the highlight of the dinner again. Presentation of the entire fish with the crispy potatoes, olives, and chef-served sauce is simply incredible. The fish with the sauce is such a wonderful, flavorful combination that I believe it is the best fish I've ever had. For dessert we ordered the apple tart and pistachio gelato. Both were wonderful but the pistachio gelato was phenomenal. The lemon zest on top, the honey drizzle and the added crunch of the pistachio pieces sprinkled overtop made for an absolute perfect bite everything. Everything we have tried here has been stellar and it isn't difficult to understand why they are Michelin rated. Ambiance, service, food quality and portions are all expertly executed. Rocca is now in our regular rotation and we already cannot wait to go back!

Next the place had many managers milling about as I counted 5 or 6 constantly moving about the Resteraunt. Not one ever made an attempt to stop by our table during our service. I find that a huge negative for a Michelin Star designated restaurant. One note the table next to us of six sat down and for some reason the managers flocked onto that table all smiles and giggles so I'm guessing that was some VIP worthy of their attention. Let's talk food and drink now the bar menu selection is good and priced in par with other restaurants but it did have some high end offerings available. Menu is good not large but some good offerings. Bread service was good at $8.00 for 2 pieces of sourdough and two focaccia. The mozzarella cart was most likely the best part of the service. The server was engaging and it's interesting to watch the process (which we do at home and are familiar with it). The Tagliolini with Ragu was good the Angnolotti fair. We expected a better experience and left somewhat disappointed by the visit. On the bill there is a charge listed as a facility fee. Not quite sure what that is but it was 2% of the bill so why argue over it.

It was very busy but that didn't affect our service or our food, we started with some wings and a couple drinks, I am a fan of Hugo spritz, and this one was very good! My husband does not drink, so we are always looking for fun mocktails! He tried the Kiwi-osity, I also tried a sip and it was delicious! We also ordered some calamari, it was pretty average, but okay! Now, their truffle fries are out of this world, very well balanced! But the star of the day was my wedge salad, the mix between all the ingredients is just a match made in heaven! The shrimp that I choose to add was also very well seasoned and tasty! I am sure coming back to try something from their dinner menu. Paige was our waitress, she was wonderful and so sweet! I have to come back during the week to admire a little more the atmosphere, I always take a peak of their bar, and it looked very beautiful! I have to come back and sit there! Their patio is also beautiful!

In my little brain, 2 smaller sizes equals one larger one and it allows me to graze and be free through the menu. Love it. The happy hour is also serious work. Wings and pizza were the main focus when I went and I throughly enjoyed it and was happy with the prices. Off hip- I don't remember the drink prices. But I'm sure they were fair in comparison to the food prices! Also, heard some kind music when I was there. Love that, adds to the ambiance. Forbici, I will be back and I'm exited to spin the block on that pesto, it's serious business.

I am a glutton for new things, new places and new adventures so off I went to find Joey's to the seldom driven far reaches of Gunn Hwy west. Past Van Dyke, past Lake Fern and coming to a rest near Ashley Lakes where urban development has spread its tendrils. Shock and Awe. As I entered a warm and fuzzy perception of exitement and recognition swelled in me. A small but concentrated area with authentic Italian products and "atmosfera italiana". From the nostalgic Big Apple crooners singing the italian-american classics, to the colorful displays, legitimate italian products, geniune italian butcher choices to fridges full of bona-fide pre-prepared italian food products the stank of authenticity permeated. The deli/meat area was packed with delectable choices and fresh assortments that any italian would be proud to put on his table. Even things like pre-wrapped bracciole (beef & pork), veal cutlets, homemade italian sausage, steaks and all the standards. I even took home some Korean BBQ Baby Back Ribs After my long and detailed perusal my attention my attention was drawn to the slender aisle leading to the other side of the store and what I thought would be shelfs of canned, bottled and dry package products. But behold, it was a small dining area with a wide variety of pizza by the slice or whole, sandwiches, hero's, salads and pasta's. A cornacopia of foods, all the italian masterpieces that the American-Italian community has to offer, and the place was packed with eager diners. I bought 4 slices for the road and was tempted to try other things but I already had nearly a $100 in products. Fresh Pecorino Romano to grate for my Carbonara, a gorgeous piece of guanciale, regular and hot italian sausage, the ribs and a package of spaghetti from Italy. The pizza was superb, different from any other in town, complex, delicious, thin crust with a proper char. The Korean ribs were excellent, a hint of spicy heat with an umami bbq sauce. Buying a whole pizza next time, plus I am already excited about returning. As soon as I finish makung my Carbonara and try the italian sausage, I will return for the beef bracciloe, some veal and some of the premade sauces. There is not a lot that gets me ranting these days, so when I tell you this place is amazing, you can take that to the bank. COME GET YA SOME!!

I Love that the staff can have fun working together, but I come here on my short lunch break to get food and I've had to leave twice now due to untimely service.... Not due to being busy. Further more, I've asked staff questions about their menu items and I watched them clarify with other staff members ..... yet the order received was still wrong and nothing like they described. On 2 occasions now, I have returned orders due to being heavily burnt or stale.... Yet still served to a paying customer.... This is extremely frustrating as I don't think or feel the need to check an order from a reputable establishment.... Only to get back to the office and have it be brunt/stale/wrong. These are not isolated incidents; it has happened multiple times..... enough times now to write a review. I want to be the bigger person here and take my business elsewhere, but I love the idea of an Italian market and good Italian-American food. This place has potential, but I work too hard to pay for bad, burnt, stale, or incorrect food.

After finally trying it, I honestly do not understand the hype. I was born and raised in New York for over 40 years and have eaten pizza all over the state. This is nowhere close to New York style pizza. I have never tasted or even seen a pizza like this from NY. The closest comparison I can make is a random pizza spot I tried once in Washington DC. The crust is massive, and if you look at my pizza or almost any photo posted here, you will notice the same thing. The bottom was not charred enough to give it any real crisp, and the dough itself was very dry with a strange baked texture that did not resemble traditional pizza dough at all. There is also a heavy amount of cheese, which overpowers everything else. The sauce was decent at first and they are generous with it, but I kept getting hints of olive flavor. Unfortunately, I hate olives, and I do not understand why olive flavor would be in the sauce unless olives were requested as a topping. As for the atmosphere, the place was extremely busy due to the surrounding nightlife scene. It was very loud inside, making it hard to have a conversation, and the constant crowd added to the chaos. Parking was also difficult and required some patience just to find a spot nearby. Overall, the pizza is decent, but it is nowhere near New York pizza and certainly not deserving of its top rated reputation. In my opinion, this place is good, but its not great. Heavily overhyped and overrated by people who may not know what real NY pizza tastes like.

First we could not hear each other from all the silverware clashing and second throughout our dinner 3 times glasses were shattered at the station. The third time we were concerned, a little piece of glass had fallen in our food. The server and the manager were nice but the manager seemed to think that the solution was for the servers to slow down. That doesn't make sense to me but ok. They did remake a plate to go for us, so that was nice. The food was a little meh to me. The short ribs could have used some salt or seasoning before making the ravioli's (same with the chicken parm) just a suggestion. Pasta tasted undercooked and as if it was box pasta. I've lived in nyc and have had some really good Italian food there so I'm a little critical. I think Olivia is a little more hype and a nice ambiance for being in south Tampa than good food.

This restaurant is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5-10pm. I have no idea how they make it. Now, the inside is super duper tiny. The second you walk in you almost run over the hostess stand. Then, there's maybe 10 tables inside. Up first they bring you free bread. The bread isn't homemade, and tastes like the same bread you can get at a thousand other Italian restaurants. I tried the $8.50 bruschetta. It is a monster portion. However, it's just regular bread with regular tomatoes on top. No special spices, no special ingredients. Very plain and boring. For my entree, I had half Linguine al Pesto and half Penne alla Rustica. Oooooof again. The linguine pesto was watery. I could barely even taste the pesto. It was like swallowing wet noodles plain. Maybe the worst pesto dish I've ever had, and I love pesto. The penne was better, but once again it didn't taste any different that one you'd order from Fazoli's. Overall, underwhelming. The pasta tastes straight out of a box from Publix. No cocktails here. The only positive is that portion sizes are huge. I think a half size is plenty for most people. Also, there is some good people watching if you can sit at a table in the window. I won't be back.
