A beautiful place for a wedding my niece got married here several years ago along the apple trees. The venue was beautiful. Overall, our experience at Becker Farms was pretty lackluster. The apple picking itself was fun and enjoyable, but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. The food ordering process was awful, the line took forever, and it was very chaotic and disorganized. Unfortunately, the food wasn't much better. The hot dog was burnt to a crisp, and the burger was extremely dry. The hand-cut fries and chips were good, though, and the flight of ciders was also really good. The apple picking was definitely the highlight of the visit, but overall, I expected more and left feeling a little disappointed. read more

There was no mention of this on their website, at least not on the front page or the brew pub section of the website. We went to Becker farms yesterday. We tried pastries at the bakery and of course apple picking. The pastries were great and it was a blessed beautiful day. We had a few hiccups with the service and attitude from some of the workers I didn't appreciate. We received Some rudeness when getting the bags for orchards but it could have been accredited to her having a long day. We also did a wine tasting portion and we tried the raspberry wines, blueberry and ciders which were delicious. read more

The ol' Beckers had a farm, A-P-P-L-E! There were four of us out on a birthday adventure designed for people a third our age, but it's my party, and I'll pick if I want to. I've been to a few orchards in my day. Granted this one is a bit far out from where I've relocated to in my adult years, yet I kept circling back despite the distance, and other hiccups. We came on a Tuesday afternoon where the sun was threatening to not shine and the wind and rain had just swept through the week prior. You're going to want to wear clothes you're willing to muck up a bit. Especially your shoes, because a solid portion of the ground is littered with old apples that have either fallen or been rejected to the ground. Some are smashed, some waiting to trip you if you're too busy looking up to find the still dressed trees. If we had consulted the website, and a map, we would have figured things out more quickly. Upon arrival we started following the Upick signs, ending up at the orchard entrance before grabbing bags. We are honest folk, so we wandered around a bit before finally stumbling across other patrons that gave us vague directions and landed us in a shop that also sells homemade hunks of fudge amongst other goodies. It's 7 dollars for a smaller bag, which admittedly is steeper than store prices. You are paying for the experience here. Also for freshness, as of the apple I sampled on the long car ride back home, it was super juicy, to a point of me wanting a napkin to dry up my dribble. The counter girl offered a larger bag as well, but considering everyone needs a bag to enter the grounds, we went small. I did notice a guy wheeling a suitcase around, so I suppose someone out there is stockpiling, and while the quality, once you find treed apples is worthwhile, you'd be better off renting a wheelbarrow. We got back across the street, immediately disappointed at the original state of the trees. You have to wander relatively far back, and again we relied on the kindness of strangers to direct us to what was growing, as the signs were few and far between. I ran ahead of the pack to figure out what was where, coming across patches of Ruby Frost, Snap Dragon, Ida Red and Crispin. They're all flavors I hardly ever get to have, and I lit up with excitement, hunting for beautiful apples. You can get less bigger apples like I did, or more smaller ones like others do. Anything that fits into your drawstring bag, which in my case was about 10 sizable fruits. Coming on a Tuesday did exclude us from the fun-tivities offered on the weekend, which'll set you back 23 dollars. I prefered it this way, without a bunch of children, considering I was picking with two overgrown ones who were threatening to climb the trees for the ultimate fruit. The brains of our group pointed out that there were ladders throughout the orchard for a safer experience. Once you get back to the actually growing orchard, it's a great fall splurge to go. I just wish there were more signs, and more ground cleanup. We came back up front to visit the petting zoo area. There were two miniature donkeys, one of which who really wanted my attention and tried to grab at my sweater, following me down the enclosure as I moved towards the very vocal pig. There were also plenty of goats, even a few smaller ones hiding in the back. Super friendly and hungry, so bring quarters. I don't know how much more they get fed on the weekends, but Piggy Smalls was definitely overjoyed when I found a quarter to get a small handful of kibble. Overall, we all agreed it's a nice place to come back to. It's nice to not have to worry about paying per pound, and it's nice to pretend that we're back to the simpler life of picking fruit off trees instead of working the grind of this terror we call adulthood. read more

Becker farms is a classic go to spot for fall. They have enough amenities to keep kids occupied and to keep adults happy. There are numerous bars throughout the property, petting zoo area, slides, tire swings, and more. I enjoy apple picking during September and October and getting a drink and just walking around. I went after peak season, at the beginning of November, and it was very slow; which makes sense considering thousands of people come each weekend throughout Sept and Oct. I enjoyed getting a baked good and a cider just to enjoy it the last of our nice weather. Will go back again, maybe for boozy bingo! read more

Went for the first time for Father's Day. Mother's Day we went to another similar style farm in Clarence we decided we'd give Becker Farms a shot since they had a great Father's Day package. Good: - even with a back lot full of cars, it never felt too busy or crowded. - the little buildings and areas to explore over the grounds made it feel like an adventure - LOVED the photographer taking free family pictures - no admission price Not so good: - they had a $20 pre-order for BBQ chicken that came with two sides, dessert and a free cider for dad. Awesome! I thought that would be a great way to manage long wait times and have enough food. Unfortunately not. There was one stall with two people working but there was no efficiency at all. The person finding names or taking payment was also the person opening ciders and making drinks. Then the person putting food together didn't start until she was done. In fact he just stared until she had finished with the drinks, despite knowing we were all in line for food. I don't say this to be nit picky but when holding a screaming baby, I would have appreciated some urgency. A team member came over to ask if they needed help and they said they were all good. So, I guess it was intentional. Mac and cheese was cold (like intentionally cold which is an interesting choice since the cold slaw is already a cold side but whatever). Chicken was not BBQ - in fact no BBQ was even provided and needed seasoning of any kind. Again. $20 for all that is a steal so you get what you pay for. We did the $5 pint painting craft for dad. Again - $5, quite affordable and such a cute idea - but it was just chalk markers on a glass. Nothing to set it to keep it from wiping off when we bring it home let alone when using it to drink from. Just really felt like it wasn't fully thought out and a missed opportunity for something truly memorable. All in all, it was a beautiful location and we managed to have fun but I'm not sure I'd go back without a specific reason. There's so much room for potential so I'll keep my eyes open and hope for more in the future but until then, I'll probably stick with the other farms. read more

Fall Fun - Budget Edition Review! I'm seeing a lot of complaints for the price of Becker Farms lately. Today we took my toddler out around 3:30 on a Friday. (Weekdays are no admission fee!) We saw the animals and walked around and took photos on the tractors and various photo ops. There's some play areas, sand pit and slides. There's a very small corn maze which was cute for littles. Parking was free, walking around was free. They did have apple picking by buying a bag to take which we passed on so no cost there haha. We did get a donut and a Apple cinnamon pretzel at the bake shop for $4 each. The donuts are always incredible. They had pumpkins for sale but again we passed. All in all we had a very sweet hour or so visiting for $8 total. read more

We stopped here on a wine bus tour while we were celebrating a birthday. It's a neat spot with a lot of space and seating. An area for wine and also for beer and plenty of bar food options as well. Nice that you can stop and try and do a lot in one space. The employees were hospitable and helpful. The poor woman in the wine space was the only person working and a ton of people were there. She was very calm and patient and able to come up with a way to get everyone served quickly. I was very impressed. The wines were pretty good. There were some dry options which I prefer and a lot of sweet ones. We ordered some bar food too. It came out quick, was hot and tasty. read more

Well, I'll be the first to admit that I was super super surprised how this place has grown since the last time I visited with my kids ( 20 yrs ago) . This is now a "destination" place to go. It has something for everyone! It has hayrides, it has a petting area with some pretty cool animals. It has a spot for a wedding ( it's gorgeous) ! A brewery area for those who want a little drink or two. Not to mention an area to watch live music outside ( and plennnnty of shade) to sit in while listening to the music. Not too loud. There's an outdoor alcohol stand to quickly get some wine while listening. There is an area to buy burgers, pizza, corn on the cob for families that need food! Haha! Annnnd, of course the rows and rows of so many different kinds of apples to pick- Different veggies in different seasons and this was Apple picking season! I was pleasantly surprised and will def be back - there is a nominal fee for entry, but so well worth it ( prob goes to feeding and care of the animals ) . The parking is plentiful. Ohhhhhh, and I asked for 1/2 dozen donuts and let me tell you that they are the size of an open adult hand. Huge just absolutely huge - and delicious. Gotta go experience this place for yourself. Becker Farms is quite the establishment for all your fall fun activities. But it can cost you quite an arm and a leg to get the full experience. The main attraction for us was to sample some of their beers and ciders while checking out some of the farm animals and maybe get some apple goodies. But , in order to even peruse the apple orchards, you need to purchase at least a small bag of apples (we were just going to share a bag, but I guess each person needs their own) . The apples are plentiful on the trees but are not labeled as to which variety they are . Now for the tasty stuff! The cider and beer options are pretty decent and a fair price, plus the bartender was super friendly and helpful in assisting us. A small bites menu is offered as well - both the bbq boneless wings and truffle fries hit the spot and accompanied our flights well. We decided to take some donuts home and that's where it got expensive again . 6 donuts were $10 but we only wanted 3 - that came to $3.50 a piece ! I ended up getting 6 only cause it didn't make sense to pay that amount for not even 3 of them . It's only me at my house and with trying to eat everything in moderation, I just wanted 1 for myself, 1 for my dad and one to bring a friend . Just seemed like an excuse to buy in bulk . The farm animals were entertaining (especially after a couple of drinks) but several of the food dispensers were out of service . No admission and less of a crowd during the week, but on the weekends there is a charge and crowds are everywhere . Becker Farms is a place I would visit once every few years but I put it in a rotation with other farms that are just as fun and a better value. read more

Driving up to the farm was not a pleasant experience. A lot of high schoolers who are more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than helping. They scanned my ticket while in the car, then handed me wrist bands and a bag for apples and said have a good day. Absolutely no direction or assistance where to go to get what you paid for. The good news is, it was worth exploring to figure it out cause the scenery was stunning. They nailed it for aesthetics and the live band was a great touch too. For the golden apple package, received a mini wine glass, 5 sample tickets (which you can use to try any of their beer, ciders, or wine) I was shocked how good everything was and all the servers were very nice. Some issues I had- prices were very expensive. For 1 donut it was $4! I mean, it was alright but for those prices, I'd expect some gold flakes or blessed by a rabbi. The bathroom choices are either outhouses or extremely small stall bathrooms. I'm 5'7 and when I stood up in the indoor bathroom stall, I can see across the entire area. Not private or really that clean, to be honest. Apple picking was fun, but again- directionless. As you walk there are very small signs at the top of each row but no arrows or help where to go if looking for a particular kind of Apple. For example, I still have no idea where McIntosh apples are and we were there for 5 hours. Overall, I would go to Becker farms again, but I would really like for a better "greeting" or introduction. Something as small as a map or the person scanning the ticket to give some guidance on general areas where to go. read more

Becker Farms, especially in the Fall, is a magical place. I was here for a wedding a few years ago and it was almost as nice as my wedding. Most recently, I came here with my husband and the rest of the people at his office. We had our own reception room with braziers to keep us warm. Before this happened, however, my husband and I walked around a little. It's such a beautiful place! The apple trees were across the street. You really had to walk pretty far to get to trees that had good apples. All that was left were the jonareds and we picked a half a peck each (about 10 apples). This was really fun, though I wasn't prepared for the walk, shoe-wise. There was hard cider pretty much everywhere we went. The Becker Farms kind is exceptionally delicious. I had an almond cherry one that was out of this world. The bar eventually got too crowded, so we went back to the reception hall. There, we had a banquet lunch. I didn't really like the food, unfortunately. However, banquet food is really hard for me to eat because of a gluten allergy, so take that with a grain of salt. After we ate, we did a lot of other fun things. We saw goats race, went on a not-so-haunted hay ride, and my husband even joined the children and went down a few slides. It was a really fun day. I didn't have to pay any money though, so I understand it might not be worth it for others because the Fall events are expensive. I still recommend trying out this beautiful farm and its grounds at least once. You will probably enjoy yourself year-round! read more

We came here end of August, which I'm taking into consideration, might be off-season (nothing I could find was quite clear when the right time to go was) , but overall it was a ghost town, and there was nothing open on a Friday at 4 PM. Things said they were open, but they were not. We were able to do the apple picking, but the apples were scarce, and most of what existed wasn't very good. They make you buy their bundle bags in quantities. Other than that, the only thing we got to experience, was watching the animals on the farm, and the bar. We took at group of developmentally disabled adults to enjoy the farm. They looked at the animals, used the playground and bought items from the gift shop. We then sat at the picnic tables so that they could eat their lunch. The owner came out yelling at us that we were using "his garbage cans" and sitting at the picnic tables for free. There was nothing else open at this time, except the gift shop which we spent around $100 in buying items. We also were the only ones at the farm at this time so we were not taking away seating from anyone. He then told us never to come back. He was extremely rude to everyone and we will NEVER return. We found this gem by total accident. My husband and I are visiting Niagara Falls from Texas and wanted to see some of the countryside. Stopped in and Lori took great care of us. I love this place. I've been here several times throughout all 4 seasons. I've enjoyed my time here for public or private events alike, including weddings, and they are always an amazing time with delicious food and drinks. The main bar area is especially nice. You can get plenty of foods, cocktails and wines. Their garlic parm fries are some of my favorites! Check out their events page also, they have trivia nights! During the fall months they have apple picking and there is always a petting zoo area where you can hang out with alpacas and see pigs and bunnies! P.S. *This review is based solely on my experience at night for their Halloween events.* Pros: I want to start off by saying that for $20, a haunted hayride, small haunted house and access to most of the venue is a great deal. Drinks at the brewpub were also a great deal; we got a cider, beer and double shot of whiskey for only $21. And they poured BIG glasses. The ambiance was also really nice. We went on a perfect fall night, and the music and firepits and everything made it a fun experience. Cons: There are only a few real bathrooms in the brewpub, the rest are portables with no access to sinks. The portables also run out of toilet paper often, but staff were good about getting more when they were notified. Inside the brewpub there were loads of fruit flies, which makes sense but was yucky. Biggest negative: We waited about an hour for the hayride, despite pre-ordering our tickets online for a specific time slot. We were also stuck behind some really annoying teens but it was a Saturday night so I guess I should have expected that. Anyway the hayride itself was fine; would be good for younger teens or families but wasn't really scary, if you're looking for big thrills. read more

There was a tractor show ....petting zoo and playground for the kids...beer garden...winery...live music...lunch served with Father's day specials . We enjoyed a very nice lunch on the outdoor patio - hubby had pulled pork with fries and drink and I had boneless wings with fries and drink. All very tasty and good size portions. I would recommend this place but understand it is pricey. For a family of four admission was about $85. That included apple picking and all the extra rides/ animal stuff. I would have given 5 stars but had some rude interactions with one staff. I went into the store to get some change for the animal feed and was advised they don't have any change. Okay, odd. If you want people to feed your animals maybe plan for that. I got a slushie ( which was decent) and asked for an extra cup, which I was willing to pay for but was told no. I'd have to pay for another slushie... like what? Donuts are decent but seemed stale. For all the things it offers the price is okay but definitely room for improvement. read more

We attended a Fall Fun on the Farm weekend event, and had a great time. There was so much for the kids to do, and it included apple picking. Each ticket got a bag of apples to fill up (plus all you can eat apples while picking). The biggest hits with our kids: - Jumping Pillows - Mega Slide (would have liked to see a few more tubes available) - Goat Races (fun for little kids) - Tons of slides / playgrounds. We went out to Becker Farms to check out the wedding venues for my daughter. They have 2 spaces - both rustic but one more so than the other. This is an actually working farm and is 5th generation - still owned by family. They have tons of antiques and these accent the wedding venues so well. There's what they call the "more outdoor" venue, which backs up to a barn and has basically an outside roof/pavilion. They do have sides they can attach (like a tent) if the weather is really bad. This spot is great for outdoor reception. The other space is more indoors and although still rustic, it's more modern. I preferred the ceremony space in this location. Both locations had ceremony space and outside bar. It's a little expensive for receptions here (but geez, weddings ARE so expensive these days). They did not offer as many choices of other venues we looked at (i.e., 2 entrees vs 3 entrees everywhere else we went). One neat thing they offer is a bonfire after the reception. They do a bonfire for 25 people for 90 minutes after the reception. I've never been and wouldn't mind doing that! All in all it was too rustic for my daughter. AND it was too far - about an hour drive from where we live so.... It's off the list. We did eat at the restaurant and the food was great! Burgers, chicken... all good! Great selection of brews and ciders as well. I'd go back for the winery! read more

I'm not sure how I've never reviewed this place. We typically come as a family every fall but decided to visit for Father's Day as well this year. We went on a Saturday late afternoon, after their specials had ended. There weren't many people there but I assume that's because of the cooler weather that day. We spent time at the petting zoo, walking around and ultimately spent the most time in the little lounge area where they had a band and we ordered food and drinks. Kids got fresh doughnuts but they also had options to get homemade fudge and cookies. We were able to bring the dog as long as we stayed away from u-pick areas. Great if you're a couple, but you'll be taking out a second or third mortgage if there's more of you! We've always made this our family tradition to come apple picking. We enjoy coming here but the price has become absolutely outrageous. Admission if you want to pick apples is $23 per person for "as much as you want" and you're given a 1/2 peck bag. Food menu from the "brew pub" seemed incredibly overpriced for the amount you got. Not to mention we felt robbed paying $40 for 2 dozen donuts?! In the orchard, most apples we picked ended up on the ground as they're littered with holes, ants, and lord knows what else. 2 years ago there were plenty of ladders available to grab higher apples, this year we saw ONE with a line a mile long to use it. Thank god most of our group was over 6' tall. Our group of 9 spent $200+ JUST for admission, and it was most likely a $300-350 day once drinks and food were added in. They should really look into an admission for those who DON'T have children, as our 22+ crowd won't be petting farm animals or using the bouncing pillow. Looks like we'll be taking our tradition elsewhere. read more

I don't think this place is quite for me. But, I will definitely applaud them on their ability to handle the amount of people that will undoubtedly flock here every single weekend. In my search for a new hot spot to pick pumpkins straight out of the patch and enjoy all the things I love about the season, some Yelpers recommended I give Becker Farms a try! First of all, the drive out here is absolutely fantastic. I will never not enjoy a drive through the countryside, around the twists and turns of a road paved to move with the land. It's beautiful! We came here on a Sunday afternoon, and coming around the bend of the road we had people directing us into the 'parking lot' (the lot which is basically a field) and leading us into an open parking space. We were a decent walk away from the Farm at this point, but that's not something that really mattered to me. But if you're coming here for the first time, be prepared to walk. It was absolutely crazy here - the good kind of crazy, I think? They had a pretty awesome live band playing music here, and a fantastic number of ways to keep yourself occupied. There was a huge line for the stand that lets you purchase tickets for 'The Pumpkin Fiesta,' which is just all the stuff you bring your little kids to enjoy: bounce house, hay rides, petting zoo, playground, and pony rides included. Needless to say, we disregarded that stuff. But it might be enjoyable for anyone bringing little kids all the way out here. After we walked around a little bit, we followed the signs that led us to where you can pick apples and pumpkins. We didn't know where we were supposed to buy bags to fill with apples, so we ended up having to get out of the line that takes you to the tractor ride over to the orchards, and go buy bags. It was a slight annoyance, but I honestly wasn't all that angry about it because the lines were moving so quickly. We bought 3 4-qt bags, each $5. We were told every person needs a bag in order to ride the tractor over, and I even told my dad, that's how they get you. We would've gotten the 1/2 bushel bag for $12 and just used the one bag. C'et la vie. I gotta give these guys credit for being able to handle the crowd. I heard they had something like four tractors bringing people back and forth between the Farm and the orchards, with each tractor toting about 60-70 people each time. Even after we had to get out of the line and get back in it, we were probably only waiting around 5 minutes to board a tractor. Once we got to the orchards, I saw that a lot of apples had already been picked off the trees. I really hope they have more orchards than this one, since we did have a bit of a hard time finding a good variety of different kinds of apples. But all in all, my family and I really enjoyed ourselves. We worked together to pull apples from the higher branches and I think we seriously bonded for a couple of minutes there. There wasn't a dull moment and we had loads of fun. I also had to dodge a few falling apples so I wouldn't get clocked in the head. So that was exciting. The pumpkin patch was right across the dirt road from all the apple trees, so that was my next stop! I never saw such a variety of pumpkins in one patch - not just pumpkins of different sizes, but different shades of orange too. I scooped up a gorgeous white pumpkin and nearly had my arms fall off carrying it and the huge apples I picked all the way back to our car. I thought pumpkin prices were fair; there was a size chart (literally a table with holes in it) that determined what you'd pay for your pumpkin. These ranged from $2.50 to $7+ (My white one was 'Extra Large' though I'd argue that it's hardly a Medium-sized pumpkin). You pay for the pumpkins there, and it's cash only. So all in all, we definitely had a ton of fun here, but I don't think I'll be back again. Too much going on for my liking, and the apple picking pricing situation is a little bit steep. But they definitely do a great job running this place. read more

My daughter and I had fun picking apples. If it wasn't for a friend I bumped into on the way to the orchard, I would have never known where to go to get apples that were labeled. The workers should help people out more. read more

We had the best time apple picking and exploring at Becker Farms today. A week after Labor Day, we were just in time for fall decor, "pumpkin fiesta" including corn maze, and an abundance of apples. The grounds of the farm are beautifully landscaped and are a charming balance of the farm style and modern fixtures. The apple picking experience was perfect. We purchased our half-peck bags for $5.95, took a tractor shuttle to the orchard, and wandered through the rows of gala, McIntosh, and ginger goldens. Back at the compound, we wandered the vineyard before heading in for a wine and beer tasting--and a doughnut! From Aurora the bilingual bird in the farm shop; to the alpacas, goats, and sheep in the barn; to the giant metal rooster in the beer garden... Becker Farms's charm and hospitality made this a special experience and the perfect way to welcome fall! read more

The Fall Fun on the Farm event was a blast and perfect for our toddlers. Included with the tickets was a bag of apples, all the apples you could eat while picking, and entertainment. APPLE VARIETIES: The group favorite were the Empire apples. Juicy, sweet, and crispy. They also had Red Delicious which were surprisingly edible compared to their powdery flavorless store bought cousins. There was a yellow varitey that was nice (golden.. something?). Those were quite nice as well. ATTRACTIONS: - Jumping Pillows - Mega Slide: There wasn't an attendant or system in place so you had to hope the kid that just rode down for his 50th time in a row was ready to give up the tube. - Goat Races: Kids ages 3+ could help chase the goats around the track or toddlers under 3 could "run" with a parent. - Multiple slides and playgrounds FOOD: The beer garden was chaos in a box. There were QR codes posted throughout the farm and you could place a mobile order. The best way to describe the menu was limited basic American fare. The wait time during lunch hour was insane! Seating was also limited since there was live music so plan ahead and eat before or after the rush and maybe even just pack a lunch and picnic blanket for backup. Popcorn and I believe donuts were available at a separate food stand for quick purchase. DRINKS: As is the issue with ALL alcoholic slushier venues 2 machines is never enough to keep up with the demand during rush hours. After 15 minutes of being 3rd in line the only movement was me leaving to go enjoy time with the family. I returned later at a less busy time and purchased the slushie and some ciders for the group. Both were great! LIVE MUSIC: What a nice touch to the food court area but the stage placement is right there in the table section and the music was so loud that our group couldn't have much of a conversation. Since there wasn't really alternative seating elsewhere it would have been nice if they turned the volume down a bit. In conclusion, this event highly recommended for all ages. read more
