I ran into some problems with my personal truck 2500 Dodge after extensive work and cost 15,000 miles later because of RAM I had more issues Matt and his crew stepped up to the plate. I've worked on my own cars extensively for 65 years and go to Bedard's shop only when I'm stumped or in over my head. Very infrequently do I take a car in for any kind of service or repair but when I do it is not an easy diagnosis or problem to solve. Bedard's seems to thrive on difficult problems. All I Wanna Do is Zoom Zoom Zoom! Yup, one of my cars has reached the 170k mark. Lights on the dash were on and the poor old thing was over heating. She hadn't even had a wash for a month. I contacted the dealer regarding the air bag warning light because my regular mechanic did no want to touch it. The dealer thought it was the clock spring and quoted me a price that was very high. My buddy referred me to Bedard. ~Work-5 Stars Matt quoted me a price that was a fraction of the dealer. He also diagnosed and checked every part of the car to make sure she was safe for the road. The airbag issue was fixed along with the cracked radiator and a full service on the cooling system. When I picked up my car, they had even washed her and steamed the engine clean. She looked brand new! ~Customer Service-5 Stars I was provided with timely updates on the service and process. Everyone I dealt with was friendly. ~Price- 4 Stars So, this place is a bit more expensive. That being said, you get what you pay for and quality is what I got. There was no doing the bare minimal here. The entire engine was checked and I was provided details of everything and reassured my car could go another 100k miles. Nice! I needed a smog test from a STAR-certified shop in order to renew my DMV registration, and it was definitely my own fault for not looking at my registration info earlier. Luckily, Bedard Automotive was on the list of approved shops, less than 10 minutes from my house, and they were able to take me as a walk-in. I did call ahead to check that they weren't too busy. The only complaint was that the lot was SO full of cars that I couldn't find anywhere to park in order to go into the shop. Eventually, I found some room against the wall, but luckily didn't have to keep my car there long as they took it right back for the check. I waited in the lobby, and was in and out in under 30 minutes. The staff wasn't chatty or anything, but they were pleasant enough. It seemed like the kind of place that just maybe doesn't have a particularly warm and outgoing office staff. As long as they're reliable and take good care of my car, I don't mind! read more

Coming to Bedards was a great experience. Their customer service was top notch! My engine light came on and it was throwing an O2 sensor code. I replaced this sensor about 6 months ago. Matt and his team went through my car pretty throughly. It turned out, the throttle body needed a good cleaning. If it were any other mechanic, they would have given up and replace my O2 sensor. Each time I called to get an update, Matt came to the phone to provide an in-depth explanation on his findings and the required repair. He never rushed the conversations and answered all of my concerns, making me feel confident and at peace with the issues. 2. He also thoroughly inspected my vehicle to ensure everything was safe. He went over and beyond to provide service WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COST to me; i.e. rotating my tires, checking pressure of tires, addressing the hissing of the brakes. COMPETENCE IN HIS TRADE: Bedard Automotive was recommended by a trusted individual in the Automotive business and claimed that Matt Bedard, in his book, IS one of the top mechanics in the business. After interacting with Matt, I understood why. Bedard Automotive also employs certified mechanics/technicians in various makes of cars, They know their craft. COST OF REPAIRS: Very reasonable. My car issue was an EVAP CANISTER that went bad causing fuel contamination and a broken Engine Torque Rod. The Lexus part alone for the Evap Canister was $729.80 and the rod was $90.02. The total bill was $1,240.41, which shows that most of the cost was NOT on their service. With the time they took to inspect and problem-solve the issue and repairing the problems, it was worth the "Excellence in Customer Service" and "Competence in Trade" that I received. I have heard of Bedard Automotive before but also heard they were "pricey" so I went elsewhere. I regret that I listened to those comments. Their pricing is very competitive. TIME IT TAKES TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE: It took about three business days to fix the issues. The car remained with them for a total of seven days because Matt wanted to address other issues such as the brakes hissing and the noise from the struts, which were NOT safety issues but related to "after-market" parts that previous service dealers used. Matt did let us know they were very busy so if we did not mind leaving it there for a few more days, it would be helpful to their load. To those who DO NOT have a back-up vehicle they can use, such length of time would be challenging. Fortunately, we did, so it was a joy for Matt to address them WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES. When my husband and I picked up the vehicle, Matt came out and summarized again what was done with the car. He opened the hood to show us the rod replacement and went over again what he already discussed with us on the phone. I was very impressed. TIME IS VALUABLE yet, Matt understands the psychology and importance of customer satisfaction. They also washed my car - such gestures may seem little, but to us, it went a long way! As always, Bedard was fantastic! They were sympathetic when my car was towed in on a Monday morning for a leaking radiator hose. I'm sure it's their busiest day, but they fit me in so I wouldn't have to rent a car. It helps that it is close to my work. They did all the work and checked all the other hoses on my 10 year old car with 146,000 miles. Although they recommended changing the other hoses Matt said when he physically squeezed them they seemed OK for now. I like that Bedard is a long standing family owned business.
