Atmosphere: The Bedford Diner is located in a shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking. When I went inside the Bedford Diner to pick up my food, there was a sign that said to wear a mask and it was enforced. The employees were all wearing masks and I felt safe inside. I walked up next to a dessert case with good looking pieces of carrot cake and cinnamon buns. Food: The Bedford Diner menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options. It's a stereotypical diner, and while you can find healthy choices, most of the options are the typical eggs, pancakes, and sandwiches. I decided to order the pancakes. Right off the bat, the pancakes smelled delicious. They smelled like warm buttermilk pancakes with hints of sweet flavor. On the menu, it says pancakes are the fluffy Texas pancake recipe". When I opened the to-go box, they barely fit in the container. It made them slightly more challenging to eat but no challenge I couldn't handle. When I dug in, they tasted just as good. I appreciated the sweetness, but it wasn't overly sweet. Service: The hostess as the Bedford Diner was friendly and made me feel safe. She was wearing a mask, and the employees were all wearing masks. The order only took about 10 minutes after placing it. In all, the service at the Bedford Diner was great. Bedford Diner (Temperance, Mi) Cost: $ For my full stack of pancakes, it was $6.49. One of the cheapest diner meals I've had. Overall Thoughts: I liked the Bedford Diner and thought it was a great stop. The food was safe and I felt comfortable picking up my food. I definitely recommend it if you're in the Temperance, Mi area.

    It was alright.

The waitress was very nice and welcoming. I just wasn't a big fan of the food. I ordered some meat(ham, bacon and sausage) omelette. It came with potatoes(bland) and toast. My dad ordered a cheeseburger and said it was delicious. Despite the omelette, I think I would come back and try something different.

    My reasonable bill

Our second visit here 2/1/19. Was there at about 6:20am for breakfast. My wife had the veggie omelette and I had a mushroom burger with fries and a bowl of chili. All of the food was good and as our first time great service. The burgers are cooked as you like them. The chili had huge cut vegetables in it but still tasted good. Was great having a burger first thing in the morning because I am not really a normal breakfast person.

Food comes out cold after waiting for more than 30 minutes and service is poor to say the least. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

4.5 I hadn't been to Mama's Kitchen in over a year at least…read moreand this time picked up a carryout order for six people. Walking in for the order, it was the same wonderful down-to-earth diner ambiance that I love! I have come to believe that carryout can be more difficult for both staff and customers because it needs to be done right at the beginning because there's no opportunity to correct things later- without a return visit. There were a few things that weren't quite right and I'm not sure if it had to do with me reading texts from my family, if I got it wrong, or if it was on the part of the restaurant. No matter, it had to do with side dishes and not main entrees. Still, the little things could have been easily remedied if we had dined at the restaurant- which wasn't an option for many reasons, including the restaurant's limited hours, as they were only open until 3pm on a Sunday. When I picked up the orders, a staff member helped me carry the bags out to my car, which I greatly appreciated. Everyone at this restaurant was super nice! Since we were celebrating my mom's birthday, her entree was the most important and she said the liver and onions were delicious. My nephew was very happy with his chicken chunks. My niece didn't complain about her beef nachos. My brother and sister in law said their orders were just okay - a philly sandwich with onion rings and a turkey sandwich with gravy and onion rings. They said the sandwiches lacked flavor. Since they didn't comment about the onion rings, I'm judging from the photos that they looked amazing. My Turkey Reuben was fabulous, along with the fries. Plus, the side of Thousand Island dressing was perfectly delicious. It's hard to make everyone happy, so my rating is partly based upon my consistently excellent experience at Mama's Kitchen, including omelettes and other breakfast/brunch food. I would overall recommend Mama's Kitchen for its delicious homemade dishes and warm service. Therefore, I'm rounding up to five stars for this unassuming diner that generally over-delivers at a great value for your money!

I was told they don't take reservations but that we could sign in to the waitlist. When we got in there was nobody under our group's name.. not sure if we didn't do it right but was a little confused by that. Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The menu has a wide range of options to choose from We got the ham & greyere omelette and added spinach which was one of the best omelettes I've had. The combo was a perfect mix of cheese with the saltiness and flavor of the ham. We also got the avocado toast with the basted egg which was very fresh. They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. Only one other person sat at the table with us so it was like we had to it ourselves, though we wouldn't mind chatting to random strangers. We love this place and will be back

My dog's groomer is right across the street or else I would have missed out. I walked in and ordered at the register. The menu is written on a chalkboard. I was hoping for a spinach omelette but they were out of spinach (same as last time I was there). Instead I opted for a veggie omelette with cheese. I also ordered a coffee. The way their system works is that you place your order and pay; then you're seated and your beverage/food is brought to your table. I sat in a booth and my coffee was very promptly brought out to me. The ambiance is absolutely adorable with red and white tablecloths and balloons. There is also an ice cream counter. It was a very pleasant setting in which to enjoy my coffee. Within a reasonable amount of time, my omelette was served with a side of toast. The omelette was huge and filled with lots of tasty tomatoes, onions and green peppers, all finely chopped and perfectly seasoned. Hash browns were also tucked inside the omelette. Although the cheese had been forgotten, I didn't miss it too much because the omelette itself was so delicious. The toast was served with delicious homemade strawberry jam. I could only eat half of the omelette and was given a box to take it home. My server was a very sweet young girl who kept checking to see if I needed anymore coffee and if everything tasted good. At a nearby table, a woman spilled her glass of water and people from the kitchen immediately came out to clean it up. They were extremely good spirited and reassured the embarrassed woman that it happened all the time and was no problem. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend Grace's Kitchen in Point Place as a charming spot for breakfast or lunch. It's on Summit Street across from Aunt Linda's Pet Grooming and H&R Block. Check out the picture of my omelette and the inside of Graces Kitchen. (For some reason they appear below my prior review.) While other reviews note that this is a cash-only establishment, I used a credit card both times I was there, though I left a cash tip on the table this time.

The drinks were good, but again, a hitch. Service too... So, two of us ordered the French dip sandwich. They were just OK at best. Really no flavor, the roll was kind of wrong and the jus was tasteless. I asked (several times) for some horseradish, and I would guess it's still on its way to the table... 2 folks ordered the fried walleye, and one said it was REALLY good and the other said it was really over cooked. 1 person ordered the burger and said it was great. The last person ordered the salmon and did like it. The standout sides were the brussels sprouts and the fries. Both are very, very good. No comments about the other sides. The person across the way ordered the bruleed sweet potatoes and they looked amazing. The ambiance. What a cool place inside. A cool mix of furnishings with some kitsch factor. Not in a bad way from aesthetics, but in practicality, a big miss. When we were taken to our table, we were presented with a 1950's style dinette and chairs. Again, really kitschy, but not at all fun to sit in. The place has a cool mix of all kinds of stuff, but the noise was deafening. We tried to talk to one another, but it was really hard. Just too much background noise from all the people in a concrete, brick and steel room. Too bad. The drinks... So, I took a chance and ordered my martini. I explained how I wanted it mixed, etc. and the bartender did a superb job! Hats off to him for making a great martini! The big issue was one of our guests wanted a Bloody Mary. The waitress explained that they have great Bloody Mary's as they make their own mix. After the drinks were ordered, the waitress came back to the table to let us know they were out of Bloody Mary mix. Mind you, this is 6:00 on a Saturday. That shouldn't happen. The service... All of the drinks were ordered at the same time, and they came out in a staggered fashion over a period of 15 minutes. Same thing with our dinners. Interestingly, the hold up with the entrees was the 2nd French Dip. I would guess if the guy making the sandwiches saw 2 of the same thing on the same ticket, he'd make them both at the same time. That second sandwich took at least 15 minutes to get to the table. We're all being polite and waiting for his meal to deliver so we can all eat at the same time. Cold fish, anyone? And I'd still like to know where my horseradish went. Oh, parking in the lot to the left of the building is stupid expensive. Park in the garage across the street and save $20 bucks. All in all, our check came to about $100.00 for 3 of us. That's without the tip. My meal was a solid 2 to 3-star event but factoring in the others' opinions and negating the Bloody Mary incident and service, I'll give it 4 stars. Pretty sure I'll go back, but probably not too soon.
