Room was filthy. Lint and dust everywhere. My bedding was also very dirty with lots if dust and stains. Speaking of bedding, we had booked a two bed room over a month in advance and yet surprise surprise we got a room with only one bed. We weren't able to get a new room due to 'overbooking' and so had to settle for a cot they brought in. Wifi also does not work. The worst of all is the bathroom. Hair on the floor and actual poop stains on the walls... only reason I don't give 1 star is because of decent and fast service. Go here if you want something cheap but don't expect much. read more

wish i could give zero stars. disgusting, bug-ridden beds. dirty sheets and towels, moldy bathroom, baby roaches crawling the walls, house centipedes IN my mattress. one inch roach crawled from my bed to my friends'. hotel staff have been so rude and ridiculous. i asked if i could get a one night refund, considering the literal roach infestation, and they said no refunds at all. on the first night, when we told them there were centipedes in the mattress, he came in and brought in another older man and an older woman, intimidating us in the room and saying nothing is wrong, talking over us when we tried saying there were bugs. they said they didnt see any, its fine. girl, this place is DISGUSTING. should be shut down, genuinely, and i hate leaving bad reviews, but genuinely horrible place read more

This place was better then I expected or maybe we just have lower -standards , 3.0 rating in my opinion . There was one cigarette burn on the blanket but the sheets were clean no bedbugs ..still alive to type this , sanitized bathroom, working microwave , fridge , coffee maker and hot water. There was a normal level of noise , nothing obnoxious and or all night just the right level of noise, mostly Construction workers wanting to be near sites . I have stayed here repeatedly and always had an excellent experience. This is a 2.5 star hotel, so don't expect 4- or 5-star accommodations; no restaurant, pool, or gym, etc. However, it is a clean and quiet place in a safe, residential neighborhood. They have clean and comfortable beds, plenty of hot water with strong water pressure in the showers, refrigerator at least 3 feet high with lots of space. Shopping center with supermarket, bank, general store [Ocean State], and other stores within 5 minutes drive, restaurants nearby, and Route 128 [Interstate 95] within 6-7 minutes. The property exterior is very well maintained. The room was a welcome surprise. Updated, modern, fresh decor and QUIET! It was outfitted with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and updated tv with cable. The staff was friendly. Being near technology row, sometimes pricing in this area can be brutal. Wife and I love this place! Trip was to Boston and we opted for cheaper lodging. Drive into city was about 35-45m depending on traffic. Motel is clean, has free wifi, rooms are cleaned daily, mini fridge, microwave, and cable tv. I just think this place is so cute. Tucked away in the sweet little town of Bedford (which you just drive through and enjoy during your stay). There is an ice cream shop next door and food options all throughout the town. Also a Whole Foods Market, Shaws grocery, Marshall's, and TJMaxx. Owner is a nice guy. We didn't arrive until after midnight so I called to let him know and he waited up for us. Said he doesn't sleep until the last guest has checked in. A true gentlemen. Stay here if you are going to Boston with family, with your spouse, or even by yourself. Enjoyed our time. read more

The staff was VERY friendly. The location was great for visiting Boston or Concord, MA. Some improvements can be made. The rooms need to be updated badly. The shower needed re-caulking and the decor is really out-of-date. I don't like that they use two top sheets instead of a real bottom sheet (wake up on raw mattress and slide around). The bathroom shower sunk when you stand in it. We also ran out of toilet paper b/c they failed to adequately stock it when the cleaned the room. My trip was to Boston, but I didn't want to pay the high prices to stay downtown, so I chose to stay about half-hour outside of the city in Bedford at the Bedford Motel. I stayed here for 6 nights and I would go back. Honestly, the only downside was the lack of a pool. The lack of internet didn't even bother me, possibly because I have an iPhone, and 3G is awesome in that area. The staff was very helpful. Half the time we stayed there, we got out of the room slightly late in the day, but upon returning at night, the room was cleaned, the bed made, and fresh towels were in the bathroom. It was quite, and as it was a slow time, they were sure not to put someone in the room next to us, which was very nice. As the last person said, the room did get a little warm a few nights, but the AC did the trick, and we actually used the heater in the morning to warm ourselves up upon waking up. All in all, it was a nice stay, and I would stay here again, or recommend it to others. read more

I stopped in at the Bedford Motel on the Massachusetts leg of my New England family vacation, and stayed in a double bed room for two nights. The staff that cheked us in was friendly and helpful, eager to answer any of our question in detail (long, long detail.) The rooms were rustic and charming, and the beds were made up nicely and were clean. The bathroom sufficed, although the water pressure was low in the sink and the toilet. Our toilet also went off randomly every 20 minutes, running water in it's tank. There was no Internet in the room, although they did have wifi in the lobby (and boy did it zip.) I found the room to be extremely hot at night, but my mother didn't and we didn't fiddle with the air conditioning unit in the room, so take that with a grain of salt. So, ultimately, staying here is dependant on what you want. If you're just passing through and need a place to stay, it's great. If you're looking for a cute and affordable romantic getaway, it would be grand if you get a room without the annoyances we had. If you're on Bedford on business (and I can't imagine why you would be) and need a place with more business luxuries, I would look elsewhere. read more

True, this is an older motor court style motel... True, it does need updating. I can overlook alot of things when staying in a low budget, older motel. I CANNOT deal with a shower that does not work!!!!! We stayed here for one night while visiting family in the Boston area. This was the lowest price for a decently reviewed accommodation on Expedia that I could find and I really now feel that you get what you pay for. We checked in at around 2pm and were given a room close to the office. We dropped our things in the room & put on the A/C. We then left to visit family & returned later that night around 9. Got some ice cream next door at Bedford Farms - good ice cream, but pricy. Nice to have that within walking distance. The room overall was a little dark with a queen size bed, a small easy chair & a coffee table. Older TV with plenty of channels. I did utilize the free wifi, which seemed fine. The bed was comfortable & everything was just fine until the morning came and we were going to shower. My partner went into the bathroom and came out after a while, stating that he could not get the shower to operate at all. The tub is, as in previous pics here, about 3'x3'. I then went in to try and the shower did not work at all!!!!!! Water came out below but the shower would not happen for us - we tried every possible combination with the controls to no avail... At this point we were quite upset as we were not able to shower at all for our day. I am sorry, but I feel that this is one amenity that is a requirement in a hotel room that should work with no issues. If they knew this was a problem(see below), why were we even given this room. We both dressed & cleaned up as well as we could using water from the sink and were on our way as we were on a schedule & had to be somewhere. I went to the office to check out & voice my concern over the shower. I told the woman at the desk that the shower did not work and she told me that it does work, but you have to flip the valve just so, but that it does work. WELL - at this point I was quite taken aback as she just had admitted to me that they are well aware of the problem in this one room, but still they rent it out to paying customers without a mention of it when checking in. Had I known there was this problem with this room's shower I would have insisted that we have a different room in the first place. She just kept saying, " the shower does work, let me take you & show you." That is all nice & good that you can show me how your shower can work magically. When 2 grown adults cannot get a basic shower to operate correctly, I feel it is a major problem that probably should have been addressed a long time ago. I told her we did not have time to go with her for her "demonstration" of how to work her broken shower. I then left in quite a huff and said good bye to the Bedford Motel, never to return again. In closing, if you are looking for a cheap alternative to the chains that seriously needs updating with their basic amenities, then the Bedford Motel is for you. I, myself, prefer to shower in the morning at a hotel and consider this to be my most basic of rights when I pay money to stay at your facility. Worst motel ever!!!! Planned to stay two nights, staff refunded me one night, which I had to fight for. Rooms are smoky and nasty. There were stains on my bedding, lamp and TV was broken. I stayed her for one week recently because I did not want to spend too much and I was not able to refund after booking from hotwire. I would say that the only good part of this motel is its price (which is important to many). Other than that, it's old and dirty, has very weak cell signal and wireless signal, and the wireless ceases to work now and then. The owner was nice to tell me when I checked in - he told me to reboot my computer when this happens - and it happened to me a lot. My wife and I stayed overnight at the Bedford Motel and were VERY satisfied with the accommodations and service. We had stayed there fifteen years ago and enjoyed it. This place is one of the worst motel that I have stayed at. The beds were not comfortable, toilet wasn't working properly, showers are outdated, and they were very stingy at giving towels. There were 4 of us and they wanted to charge us $10 extra/person for each night. Also, they were very cheap at giving us towels. The owners were brown/indian background. My recommendation is to pay a bit more money and stay in a brand name chain hotel like Holiday Inn, Days Inn etc...Its more worth the money and better service. We stayed as a group on back in May 2012 for the long weekend. The hair dryer was not working properly. When I asked for new towels, they made me walk all the way to front desk to get it. I chose this particular motel due its walking distance to the Bedford VA (about a mile away). The motel is also conveniently located near a bus stop, about a 5-10-minute walk. The hotel has wi-fi now, even in the rooms, not just the lobby. The staff was friendly. The room was cute and clean.
