Bedford Plaza should not be your top choice, but if you're watching your dollars and need a place to stay in a pinch it'll do the job. It has it's issues for sure though. The location of it sits in the middle of a triangle of intersections and the entrance is easy to miss. It also doesn't look very inviting. The hotel overall looks in desperate need of a facelift. Everything looks worn and outdated, even the vending machine looks like it was wheeled in from the 90's. The interior and exterior looks like it's just been patched where needed. The lot, the halls, rooms, front area all just look shabby. Paint, replacement glass, landscaping , better signage are just a few things this place needs. The room was alright. Again shabbiness here and there but the bed was made well and comfy. Fridge was ok. Room was clean, but the furniture was arranged oddly and the toilet in the bathroom looks like it would be in a public bathroom. Also the TV worked, but the remote didn't. The staff were nice enough, but they seem to only be at the desk when called basically. There is a phone that calls directly to whomever is on duty. When checking out you just drop your key card in the slot and leave. I guess that's convenient but I like the official handoff to a person. When I called requested a receipt he said he'd do it. Confirmed my email and everything. Never came. You could certainly do worse, but unless you're desperate or have low standards you should avoid this one. I'll be sure to. read more

The garage was in total mayhem. Left over furniture that was soaking up rain water that ran into the under building garage area. Might explain the musky smell. A few abandoned cars took up guest stalls. In the room, while there was a TV, most channels didn't work. And the toilet was awkwardly crammed between the sink and wall. The shower didn't drain properly after each shower- so getting in meant - stepping into leftover shower water. The pool, grimmy green with an 'under maintenance' paper taped to the door. Good luck with their continental breakfast. Pickings are slim and beware of the falling toast from the toaster- if you make it past the tong- less grab for bread. Hot coffee? Nah, lukewarm at best. Front desk service- half thought about ADA, with just posted signed and stairs in the way. I was overcharged, $499 when my company was charged $133 per night. I was expecting to pay only $266 + taxes and rates. They refuse to give me a recipe and said it needs to be provided by the party who booked the hotel. 0 stars would be more appropriate. There were blood stains on the chair, one power outlet in the room was in working condition. Breakfast items were stale, fire alarm in my room was not connected, no inspection sticker in the elevator. You have to pay per hour for the fitness room and pool btw. I have reported this hotel as it violates many health and safety standards and consumer rights. Ask for your receipt up front, they are not allowed to refuse it. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews on this place. I just stayed here 11/1 to 11/4 and found it to be a great value in a great location. Location: it's very conveniently located about a mile from RT 128/95. You have a McDonald's and Pizza place both next to the hotel. And a Stop N Shop about 200 yards up the road, in a plaza with other stores. Staff: they were awesome. On my night checking in, they asked what floor I wanted to be on. My room was cleaned everyday and the bed was made. New towels were always put in my bathroom. Hotel: they have underground parking. That is a HUGE plus in Massachusetts. Your car will stay warm in the winter, and you won't have to scrape your windshield. They have an indoor heated pool !!! Also a HUGE plus in Massachusetts in the winter. The room has DirecTV with plenty of channels including some movie channels. It has pretty decent WiFi. Individually controlled room heat and air-conditioning which made my stay nice because I wanted the room nice and warm. They are for free continental breakfast, with a reasonable selection of food. In general the hotel was rather quiet. I didn't hear any noise in my room from the outside. Negatives: Some of the furniture could use replacing. I didn't notice anything too terrible but definitely some of it could be replaced. The outside of the hotel could use a remodel and new paint. Again nothing too terrible but just something that might make the hotel more appealing from the outside. Overall: I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Massachusetts. After seeing all the reviews and pictures, it is definitely what I expected. This is a two star hotel and nothing more. I only stayed here because it was last minute and there were no other options. If you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep, this hotel is a bit better than a motel. Underground garage is a cool concept; helpful in the winter. Checking in was easy and front desk was friendly. The whole place is very outdated - not that it bothered me much, just something to mention. At least the elevator worked! Room was meh. All of the lights were unplugged upon entering. A/C wasn't working at first so I had to call maintenance and after about 5 minutes, he was able to get it running. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and I slept well. Didn't hear much noise from other guests. Also, pleasantly surprised the room came with a mini fridge. Wifi password didn't work; and after calling the front desk to confirm it twice and she said it worked for others so I ended up not being able to use it. My family and I needed a simple place to sleep and this was it. A place to sleep. It looks sketchy on the outside but is pleasant looking in the inside. The room was a good size but overall they could do well with a lot of upgrades. Some of the linen and throw pillows had stains on them, there was a wall that had a hole in it, the drapes didn't fully cover the window that people can see through as they walk by. And there was a roach we found crawling on the ceiling that I had to try to kill. Not sure if I got it but it was definitely gross. Overall the bed was somewhat comfortable, aside from the slow drop in the middle. It was a quiet place and staff was friendly. The breakfast was also very underwhelming. The price for one night was 167$- and I truly feel that is horribly overpriced. I pulled up into the parking lot across the street close to 1:30am. There was nobody at the front to check in, so I called the hotel and received no answer. I stood at the front for close to 10 minutes when I realized I could hear snoring- so I called out. Turns out the night manager was sleeping behind the desk and didn't hear me. Check in was easy. I found my room and was a little grossed out. There was inexplainable stains everywhere, parts of the door that was in my room kinda chipping off. The TV didn't work. It was probably the creepiest hotel I've ever stayed at. I stayed here late one night just to be safe from driving in snow and ice. I found the place through my maps gps. My maps said it would be $50, their website says $65, when I got to the counter they told me it was $80. When I told them their website said $65 the person behind the desk argued with me saying they wouldn't ever post that on their website... well clearly they don't look into it as I screen shot it. I had to take 2 ambien and 2 Xanax just to deal I drank a bottle of red wine, out on my eye mask and prayed i wouldn't get eaten alive waking up looking like a fried ginger! Anyway I survived. Breakfast was decent Nothing fancy I grabbed a banana My son jumped in the pool. I didn't check to see if was gross- i don't wanna know. I threw his as in the shower. Went to get drinks and i heard a couple in another room going at it like crazy She was loud AF!!! I had to listen. I'm sick like that. This place is nonstop drama. The pool is lovely and there is a beautiful indoor balcony where you can look out & see the rest of the hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, & you could not beat the price. There was mold growing in the bathroom as well. The manager at the front desk was extremely rude refused to give us a refund after only being there for 10 mins. She's really nice so I decided to book. First night was okay. Second night I went to the pool and a front desk guy asked me do I have a boyfriend even I told him yes I do, he said "not in this hotel, he will make it happen" I wasn't comfortable with that and I went back to my room. At 9PM He called me through the hotel phone in my room. He told me he doesn't care if I have a boyfriend. He told me it's really hurt his heart that I have a WHITE boyfriend. Then he said he will marry me! He said he wants me! AT 9 PM! Where is my privacy? I was by myself and shaking didn't know what to do. I just blocked my door and try to sleep. In the morning I talked to the manager name Sal. Told him what happened and let him know I am not comfortable staying here. He said he can't make everybody happy. He said "it's not my fault, you can go book the new hotel but I will not pay or response for the new hotel". I was shocked so I went to the BFPD. Was surprised with mini fridge but it wasn't quite clean to my standards. Front desk guy is a good guy, other staff are adequate. Not too far from 95, nearby shopping and food is nice. Pretty old , was probably nice back in the day. could imagine the Bedford plaza hotel really improving itself with some management changes, renovations, and improvements to the exterior. Not a bad place if your in a pinch for a day or two. Will try to avoid in future but would take it over a motel. I was relocated to this hotel by Expedia after my original hotel cancelled my booking that I had for over 6 months 2 days before an event, and there were no other options within the vicinity. After 1 night, we felt so unsafe we contacted Expedia and ended up getting another hotel in New Hampshire and had to commute 45 minutes to our conference all week. There is no parking, regardless what the website says. I had to park in an unlit alley at 2 in the morning, there were broken down cars all around, and people wandering about clearly without full faculties. inside the room, the mattresses and linen were visibly stained, the bathroom had black mold crawling up the windows, the carpets had burn holes in them, the microwave interior was covered in old food, and the mini fridge was rusting and the shelves falling apart. There were water stains all over the ceiling, someone else's hair between the supposed clean sheets and what appeared to be a rusty bottle cap opening bolted to the front of the sink. I did not in ANY way feel safe at this location. Expedia got me a new room in another state, however this business refuses to refund my money the nights I did not stay, even though it was a health and safety hazard, and the policy they have listed on expedia says I will only. not be refunded one night's fee for cancellation. So I am out over $1300 between what they charged and what I had to pay for the new hotel room. I am currently working with the bank to reverse my charges and filing formal complaint with the department of health with the state due to the black mold exposure. read more

I had a booking with them over last weekend which I had booked through Booking.com. When I went to check in they claimed my card had been declined, but the last numbers they read weren't mine. They claimed to not even have the new booking (first one got canceled). I called Booking.com and they talked to the hotel staff who were extremely rude. They refused to give any help. I should also mention several other travels had trouble checking in and they also refused to help them! They also mentioned the shower in the room I had wanted didn't work right! Just as another reviewer said, you need to search for the entrance, which is not even marked properly. We parked in the McDonald's parking lot behind and had to make a complete circle of the building to find it. The smell emanating from the OUTSIDE of the building was even stronger when you went inside, a mixture of full strength Fabuloso and mold. We checked in and took one look at the room and walked out. The photos look nice, but it is something straight out of The Twilight Zone. We asked a local later, if there was any stories about the place and he proceeded to tell us exactly what the lore of the place is, not good. Thankfully we found another hotel that had a vacancy. I don't even mind losing the money from the booking, if it meant not having to step foot back in there. Even hours later, we could feel the chemicals in the back of our throats. I've used Yelp for two years and this is my first review I've ever written if that tells you something. I only stayed because my car broken down in the middle of the night and had to be towed. They discounted the room from $129 to $99 because of my situation. Had I known what the place was like I'd've stayed in my car. It was dated, dirty, unmaintained. There was tape holding pieces of doors together. The pool was empty. Out of order signs on vending machines. Out of order signs on the elevator. The "breakfast", continental or not was stale and disgusting and served in the most unhygienic conditions I've ever seen in a hotel. The floors were stained EVERYWHERE. The room itself was decent in size however the shower head looked like it was going to fall off. There was blackened caulking in the bathroom, presumably from mold. And there were stains on both comforters on the beds. Despite the wall on the room door that said it was a Best Western, this is an independently run hotel. I was hoping I'd have some corporate based customer service to complain to but that is not not the case. They are insane for thinking they can charge $129 for a room there, criminal to charge $99 and have no business running a hotel. If my car ever breaks down in Bedford at 11:30 at night again knowing that no local cab service picks up their phone at that time, I'll walk up 95 to Woburn if I have to. read more

Here is my very thorough review of this hotel. Hotel main The way in was kind of a really tight fast turn into the driveway and straight into the underground parking garage. Efficient but scary if someone is trying to come out lol. Garage was a good size and lead right to an elevator. Up a few stairs was the lobby, staffed 24/7. They were giving out full hershey bars for Halloween. There was a coffee station right next to the front door with coffee, tea and oatmeal. Staff there was welcoming and nice and there was an info travel guid spot with pamphlets on tourist stuff. They did have a soda vending machine. Fanta, coke peligrino ect. $1 each. Staff The staff I think was the best part honestly. Very kind and helpful. We had been placed in one room and the instant we stepped in we turned and went to the front desk, the door lock and bolt were broken. They placed us in a new room instantly. The new room had a lock but the main window was broken and missing. It had a piece of cardboard in place of the glass. We were too tired from the trip at this point and just said screw it. After making this our room we come to find out that right outside my window was the designated smoke area. Yay stoners out there skunking up my room due to no window. It was legal to smoke pot in the state but not in public, there was someone smoking in a room right near by too and when we told the staff they made it stop. Ya I know party pooper but I am on vacation and the smoke gives me super evil death migraines. No thanks. It was also a no smoking building with a $250 cleaning fee. The tv is not a smart tv but still pretty good no issues with it itself. However I did find some kind of possible camera thing sticking out from the base looking at the bed. Pulled it and stuffed it behind the tv. Not gonna risk it. There was no safe in the room and things looked a bit worn but not bad. There are huge window panes on the entry wall next to the door with curtains. Odd design choice. Also way too many issues with wifi. Doesn't work. Doesn't connect or if it does won't stay on. The ac/heater was broken the first 2 nights and wouldn't turn off, it was cold so we had to unplug the thing. They fixed it, and worked nice after. There is not real closet, but there is a small shelf unit with hangers outside the bathroom. There was no overhead light in the bedroom just the nightstand lamps and there was a light in the hall spot next to the battery over the shelf thing but it was burnt out. Room overall No true closet Large clean looking bed Issues here were that there was only one accessible outlet to charge or use across the room behind the arm chair. The others were behind the bed or next to the bathroom around a corner. I'm not sure why but there were also 2 thermostats in the room witch made it a bit confusing. One word BEDBUGS. Don't do it. Still have bites on my back. Booked thru Hotwire so it was "nonrefundable." I bolted out of there after two hours. Hoping I managed to get any bugs out of my bags and clothes. Had to do laundry and blow all of my belongings with a hot hair dryer. NIGHTMARE. And the hotel staff reacted like it was the first they'd ever had bedbugs. The man at the desk could have cared less that I was disgusted, horrified and distraught. I've seen him get into altercations with numerous people not just myself. Me and my boyfriend were staying here for a couple of weeks and at least 3 nights a week we had multiple issues with him. In this industry, you need to be pleasant and kind to people. That guy has not one nice bone in his body. Talks and treats people like s**t. First impression: automated sliding door not automated. They leave it open a crack and you have to slide it open where the next thing you'll see if you're checking in late at night is the desk clerk sleeping in the chair with his feet up on the table. Which a few guests were complaining about during breakfast the following morning. He was also sleeping by the pool and on the couch in the lobby. When you walk up to the desk he says "what?" Like you've bothered him. I inquired about parking, he said we couldn't park in the garage, we had to park across the street because the hotel was completely booked with 60 rooms. Which seemed odd since the website states there's 99. He also gave out wrong information on what time breakfast is. The following morning, I stopped to talk to the clerk and it was a different person. I addressed them about the sleeping clerk and their response was a giggle followed by "oh ya he does that!" as if it's acceptable. They were able to give me a correct time on breakfast though. We needed to check in early. I booked the room through booking.com for Friday-Monday. We knew we would be driving 14 hours straight, and that we would need an early check in. We sent a request for a 1:00am-2:00am check in for Friday morning. We received a notice that it would cost an additional $25 for early check in. I accepted the charge. I received a confirmation email stating 1-2am Friday morning would be our check in time, with check out being Monday morning. We were told upon arrival that our arrival time counted as Thursday night and since we booked for 3 nights, we would have to check out Sunday. We needed the room Sunday night so we were charged the $25 early arrival fee, which we were expecting, and an additional $119 to be able to stay Sunday night, even though that is what I had the room booked for originally. When I was talking with the front desk clerk about this, they sarcastically remarked "even though it says 1am Friday morning, we take it to mean 1pm the previous day. Did you really think you were getting an extra night for $25? Didn't that seem too good to be true?" Rooms are disgusting. Furniture had sticky stains and dirt on them, the pillows they provided had dirt on them, holes in the walls, holes in the bathroom screens, mold on walls and shower area. Previous guests' food was on the floor. The bathtub was so dirty and gray, but washed away when I turned the shower on. It also had someone else's hair all over the place on the walls and in the tub. Sheets probably haven't been washed in a LONG time considering there's big dark gray and almost black areas on them. The sheets don't even feel clean and they smelled like mildew. Oh, and wear shoes if you want to walk around your room. The bottoms of our feet were BLACK walking from the chair to the bathroom and back. Carpet is dirty and feels oily. Breakfast: if you're looking for healthier options, you're incredibly limited. That's if they even have food. Breakfast is 6am-930am. We've gotten down there at 7:30 and there's little to no food left. Including coffee. We waited for an hour thinking they'd replenish and they never did. Pool: The pool is nice. However it is advertised as a heated pool. Don't expect the water to be warm as you'd think when you hear "heated pool". The towels were never washed. We went to the pool every night for a workout, and we went from seeing a full cabinet of towels Friday night, to absolutely none left Sunday night. The basket next to the cabinet was full of dirty towels. Checking out: I stood at the front desk for 4 minutes yelling "hello?" before someone finally appeared at the top of the stairs and said with attitude "...yes? You can just leave your room keys." I said I wanted to also get an itemized receipt and he rolled his eyes as he walked down the stairs towards us. **UPDATE** The owner reached out and followed up with our concerns, and agreed we were not treated how we should have. This hotel is not worth your money: 1. If you pay through Hotel.com, or any other travel site, they will offer you the worst room if possible. 2. The room is not as pictured, it had a large yellow dingy dirty couch, obsolete and non functional furniture in the suite that did not belong in the room. Just there to fill space. 3. You can hear your neighbors talk to one another as if they were in the same room. No privacy. 4. Breakfast not worth eating and looked old. 5. The location appears isolated and hard to find with a little sign and no light. 6. Parking in garage and additional parking across the street is about the only good thing it's got going for itself. 7. Bathroom tub floor is super dirty, and the carpet appeared painted over. The vents were not secured and we had not curtains in any of the windows in the suite with king sized bed. Do not book this hotel ever!! They do not appear clean or caring about their appearance. I believe this used to be condos, covered into a hotel. But no kitchenette or kitchen for cooking. Steer clear and away from this hotel. read more

Do NOT waste your money and stay here, I recommend staying ANYWHERE else. Fully expecting to bring bedbugs back with us, hotel is a royal dump on the inside and the outside, girl at front desk was feeding some bullshit to another guest when we signed in that the manager was "around". The hotel looks like a big brick, there isn't anywhere the manager CAN be. I doubt there even is one here. Hotel smells like it hasn't ever been cleaned that they've never heard of scented cleaning products (it smells like the vacuum cleaner after its been run a while, you know the burning smell? Wait that might be our a/c that took a half an hour to work. NO vending machines, pool is tiny and is in middle of ALL the rooms in an open space so if anyone takes their kids to it all you're going to hear is screaming all day/night. I found it a great place: -- reasonably priced--great value for the money -- very clean -- very quiet--I actually got a lot of work done in my room -- the room is very comfortable--especially the bed and pillows -- I liked it that the light in the bathroom was strong and the mirror was large; great for shaving or for women doing make-up -- both the management and the housekeeping people are very polite and very helpful -- fridge, microwave, and coffee maker--and they even provided excellent Starbucks coffee! -- free parking in a closed indoor(!) garage -- maybe 1 minute driving from Rt. I95 (same as Mass. Rt. 128, that goes around Boston) -- only 200 yards from a major supermarket: Stop&Shop -- a McDonald's is next door and there are other places to eat nearby -- the swimming pool is closed, AS IT IS AT ALL HOTELS DUE TO COVID What else would you want? Okay so I stayed there ONE night and I will promise you I will never in my life go back here again. Worst place ever. The worker was working with me I knew it wasn't his fault he was just doing his job but the manager/owner was kinda rude. It smelled like someone just died!!!!!! it was dirty I had to put my own covers. It was just horrible. The only reason on earth to consider staying here is the price. Priceline put us here, for $54 a night, including parking and "breakfast." If we could have gotten out of it, just entering the filthy elevator would have been enough reason. Stained ragged carpet. Yuck. Same thing in the room. Low wattage bulbs. Hair dryer a true hazard with exposed wires. Refrigerator didn't work. No maid service the first two days; yes on the third. Breakfast essentially donuts, canned fruit, and hardboiled eggs in a really dirty dining room. Really loud noise from the pool (but it stopped at 9). Chlorine smells. OK, so on the positive side, the bed was fairly comfortable, and the bathroom fairly clean. (Comments on other sites suggested bedbugs and other fauna, but we did not experience this.) Polite desk people: Mr. Patel at night, Mr. Patil during the day. A ten minute drive to the MTA train into Boston. We will never ever stay here again . . . and yet it may well be the cheapest hotel within half an hour of Boston Common. read more

Awful! Been staying there off and on over the last year and it's getting worse and worse. This last visit yesterday DONE. Staff is rude. Not just hard to understand but rude. The small Indian woman at the desk...no words to describe why she works there. The rooms are clean but always have something broken, lights, drawers, toilet seats that because of the shape of the punter don't open...this time seriously duct tape holding the vanity together. Breakfast the time I stayed long enough wasn't bad but given what I saw yesterday if they consider that except able no way! NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more

The room smell very bad. The toilet in the bathroom looks like a public bathroom. They have the weirdest parking system. Also, their employees are too lazy to help when our sink had a blockage. Probably the worst hotel in Boston!! read more

Giving this 2 stars. I stayed in a king suite for $99. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean and the cast iron bathtub was a welcome soak at the end of a work day. It was quite, perhaps because no one wants to stay there. I had no issue with the low income housing, likely necessity with the tourist industry down turn. They seem to be grouped on one side of the building and hotel rooms on the other. I happen to end up here by booking on booking.com, they do not have accurate reviews. And they will not allow me to write a review after my stay. The plus side is the FireBox grill across the street, good BBQ and cold beer. Also good is the House of Roast Beef. I had the greek chicken kabob salad. Best Kababs I've ever had. I'd probably book here again just for the bathtub and proximity to the office if not for the unstable internet connection. It dropped often. Not ok! If you are looking forward to swimming, call ahead and check on the pool, it was closed during my stay, presumably because of roof repairs and was due to reopen mid July 2013. read more
