This desire to best serve their customers has fueled growth from the small retail store to larger storefronts over the years as well as many awards and accolades for the business. Bedford Sales has been recognized time and again as the premier bass fishing store in the midwest. Ranger Boats has awarded Sam and Pat year-after-year for being among the top Ranger dealers in the nation. Mercury Marine counts on Bedford Sales to continuously achieve sales recognition status as well as CSI service awards.
Bedford Sales 27,000 square foot location allows them to display up to 80 boats as well as 5,000 square feet devoted to rods, reels, tackle and other fishing supplies. In addition to new and used Ranger boats, Bedford Sales carries Vexus, Skeeter, Lund and Triton. Mercury, Yamaha and Evinrude Motors are sold in our store. Regarding fishing supplies, all the major brands are available in inventory including Shimanno, Diawa, Lews, Dobyns, St. Croix, Falcon, Duckett, Sunline, Power Pro, Megabass, Lucky Craft, Keitech, Roboworm, Bass Trix, Bizz Baits, just to name a few
History
Established in 1970.
Bedford Sales owners, Sam and Pat Rosefsky, began with a small general merchandise store in 1970. Sam's love of fishing and desire to supply customers with the ultimate fishing experience, transformed Bedford Sales into a reknowned bass boat and fishing tackle retailer. Sam has been fishing the bass tournament circuit since 1978 and has vast knowledge of the industry.
Through the years, Bedford Sales has remained a family-run business with each of Sam and Pat's four children working their high school years at the store. Sam's mother, Ruth, also played a part in Bedford's growth as many customers will remember enjoying her homemade cookies at each annual Open House. Ruth was an amazing baker and provided the Open House customers with over 1,200 cookies each year. Open House continues to draw thousands of people from many states each winter and customers delight in seeing seminars by some of the top names in fishing as well as exhibits from many of Bedford's suppliers.
