I'm going to start out with the bad. The host, Sebastian was cheeky and disrespectful. He called out "Kylee" party of three. I asked my husband if he thought they might mean "Kyle." So my husband called him out on it, and the host laughed it off as my husband says it says right there, "Kyle" the host attitude was not remotely professional. Had I based the whole visit on that one interaction I'd go with zero stars. The server though, she was nice. She got us out refills, was nice, listened, and was soft spoken and friendly. The food came out warm. It was tasty, American food and on the hearty side. The price was also very fair and I think even on the low side. The atmosphere was what I remember it being. Old timer, antiques from wall to wall and overhead. Tons of people eating but not overly packed. Had the host instead been a server I would have just left and eaten elsewhere but overall the food was decent and filling. My suggestion for improving is to better train the host in professionalism and bring out jam with the biscuits. read more

We've been long time patrons of CB but something here has changed in some of the dishes? And not for the better. The chicken & Dumplings the chx portions are not to the standard quality of meat as has been in past decades. Lots of gravy and hardly any meat. Green Beans had an awful taste to them that I can't explain? Almost metallic. tin taste?? I did have the Homestyle Chicken it was fabulous! Our server was awful I don't know if she was just overly busy but I can't tell you how many times she walked by and didn't collect our dirty dishes. She also kept forgetting our wants- Refills, to go containers, bags. Just not the normal experience we've grown accustomed to forever. read more

I stopped in around 4:30 on a Thursday and the restaurant was very quiet, with only a few couples dining. I ordered the Thursday turkey dinner with two additional sides, including one upgraded side. Overall, it was delicious and definitely satisfied my turkey craving. The turkey, dressing, gravy, and warm biscuits were the highlights. The biscuits were soft, fresh, and very tasty. My waiter was sweet, attentive, and efficient, which made for a pleasant dining experience. There were a few things that kept this from being a higher-rated visit. The sweet potatoes barely had any topping, and the mashed potatoes weren't as creamy as I would have liked. The restaurant also could have been cleaner. We had to swat a fly on the windowsill where there was a small cobweb, and toward the end of the meal a Nat appeared around our leftovers. For about $20, it wasn't quite like a homemade holiday turkey dinner, but in today's economy I felt it was a decent value. I left full, satisfied. With a little more attention to cleanliness and a few improvements to the sides , this could easily be a better experience. read more

Well, after the whole change the logo ordeal, they brought back the one item I enjoyed, eggs in the basket. They seem to not have decent cooks. I've been in twice for it. The first time they didn't serve the dipping disks but a strange shaped and a ball of bread for dipping. My second time the bacon was medium rare and I had ordered crispy bacon. Sent it back and they obviously stuck it in the microwave and overcooked it and the pieces were all curved and crunchy hard vs crispy. One of the eggs were over hard and one over medium after I ordered over easy. Didn't have time to wait for it to be remade. Do better! Server Kimberly's was friendly but never came by with coffee. Watch it, they figure tip suggestion based off the entire bill. Sorry I don't pay a tip on taxed amount. They do have a QR code on the receipt for payment. read more

I give Cracker Barrel 10 stars I think that's how you read it. I forgot to rate the other two reviews. They have a variety of food and you can eat all you want and you don't have to keep your same plate to give you a new plate. My folks used to love taking us to Cracker Barrel, the food and service was always great. Today it was a total disappointment. It started off promising as we were seated, greeted, order taken and got our coffee right away, then it was at least a thirty minute wait for our orders to arrive. I ordered the breakfast casserole and unfortunately it came luke warm and the potatoes were gummy, taste was very bland. My wife ordered the Blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon that was "ok". We did mention the slow service to the cashier who was very dismissive to our concerns. We do realize that this is Mother's Day weekend, however the restaurant was less than 1/2 full. On a positive note, I signed up for the rewards program and received a free order of Beignets that were served hot and were very good. Overall a very MEH dining experience. read more

Contrary to some of the negative reviews this reflects my visits only I'm still holding it at four stars it hasn't changed for me cuz every time I come in I've always been very satisfied with the food and the service. particular morning on the 21st Friday and February 2025 I sat down was seated immediately it wasn't very crowded and got coffee. Looked at the menu Decide to go with the sunrise value special which is the sunrise pancake special 9.29 It gives you a two pancakes two eggs your choice or two pieces of meat. I went with the pancakes the sausage patties and two egg soft scramble. I also asked for some blueberry syrup on the side cuz I like that Dickinsons brand syrup they use. Cook was bang on this morning! Pancakes with fluffy like cracker barrel should be delicious little crispy on the edge. Eggs for Just Right sausage was piping hot. The menu changed so 3 of our party no longer could get their old favorites. The service was not good. My order was wrong. The server never mentioned the main meat of my order was out and brought my breakfast out with a pile of meat I didn't want. She never came back to refill the drinks. The manager did nothing to accommodate for the mistake or experience. I paid for the parts I did eat. This used to be one of our favorite breakfast places. Our waitress's name was Lexie. She was such a GREAT waitress. Great service and a great personality! We all love our food. I ordered the beef stew, and it was delicious. My only issue was that it was $17/$18 and what you see in regards to the meat was all that was served. I do feel like there should have been a little more meat, 4 small pieces and that was literally it. I don't even eat a lot but I was surprised by the lack of meat. We ordered our Thanksgiving from here this year and it was amazing! So much food that was all delicious. The pickup was nice and easy. The turkey was better done than what we've gotten from other places in the past, and the gravy was great. My favorite sides were probably the mac and cheese, and cranberry sauce/relish. The sweet potato casserole with pecans was a miss - too much lemon zest. The dressing/stuffing thing was also just ok. Of the dessert, the pumpkin pie was my favorite. The place always delivers tasty food. Most of the time, our server does a great job. They have an app where you earn points towards free food or money off in their store. Their store has old fashioned candy and snacks as well as unusual treats. There are also toys and seasonal knickknacks and clothing. I had never been to Cracker Barrel and wanted to try some of their blueberry pancakes!!! Upon entering, ( through the little store) it was like stepping back in time. What a fun place!! Old fashioned candy sticks grabbed my daughter's attention!! So much to see there. Almost like being in a quaint little museum!! We were promptly seated in the restaurant - busy for a Saturday afternoon and ordered breakfast. I was really impressed by the fast service. Very polite staff!!! Made it such a pleasant experience. The blueberry pancakes were bursting with juicy, plump, blueberries - and what a nice addition of blueberry syrup with actual blueberries on the side. After spending a month in Asia, I really missed American food. So much so that Cracker Barrel sounded like a Michelin bib gourmand and a restaurant that should be a stop wherever you happen to be close to one. I just craved something simple and that happened to be a country fried steak with some green beans and dumplings. I forgot how good the dumplings are here. It had a nice chicken flavor but was squishy and delectable. The country fried steak had ample country gravy and was very tasty as well. I forgot how good the biscuits were too. My son and I went there today. Customer service was pretty good. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. Only downfall was we had to wait a while for our refills even though it wasn't busy at all. I had the chicken fried chicken, Mac and cheese with green beans. Chicken was good not great. It was nice and juicy. Cooked to perfection. Some tables had other things on it that our didn't have like little menus. We liked the onion petals and the dipping sauce. They tried to bring the appetizers to the wrong table. The ham, biscuits and the fried apples were not even warm. Not sure why my breakfast was not hot, other people seemed to be enjoying their meal. I was pretty disappointed in my meal today. My pancakes tasted like they sat in oil to long, the hashbrown casserole tasted off, the eggs were ok, the sugar cured ham i ordered was not what i received. They gave me the country ham. Instead. My husband ordered cornbread and got a biscuit. My son ordered hashbrowns and received grits. The chicken tenders were over cooked. The biscuit beignets were ok but nothing special.
