Hubby wanted a BLT club (came with your choice of fries and soup) and I was going to get a sandwich until I seen stuffed cantaloupe on the menu and had to try it. Fresh, filling and delicious. It comes with either tuna/chicken or crab salad and can be stuffed in cantaloupe/tomato/pineapple or an avocado with a side of fruit and cottage cheese. good ol fashioned greek greasy spoon bfast and lunch joint. looks like it's been here awhile. probably a Romeoville staple and popular for Lewis students. ate a london broil and scrambled egg plate. with hash browns and pancakes. pretty tasty! the london broil was chewy and not medium rare like i ordered but the for $11 per the menu i thought it was a very good deal. probably would have given five stars if not for the fact my bfast turned out to be nearly $15 and not $11 as stated on menu. i know there is inflation happenning but a disclaimer about a raise in menu prices would have been sat better in my conscious than feeling sorta jipped and ripped off and nearly bankrupt from these lies! read more

Awful experience!!! We had a poor experience here today and will not go back because of it!!! Husband and I had a short amount of time for breakfast before our movie and he suggested going to this place. We have never been in here since it was a full service restaurant and lived on this side of town. They had seating for us right away. We were greeted right away and given waters and coffee (but no creamers). And that was the last time we saw our waitress. We were both ready to order as soon as we got there, just basic egg breakfasts. After about 20 minutes of waiting I finally flagged down a waitress to see who was our waitress and if we could order. She said she wasn't our waitress, but that she would come back to take our order. Another five minutes and she finally took our order and said she would speed ours along. When we finally got our order another 15-20 minutes later our food was cold and we nearly had to plead for a refill on our coffees. There had been a host walking around to tables with coffee, but he never stopped at ours. There were several other tables seated after us that not only ordered before us, but had their food before we ever ordered! What is wrong with us!? Were we invisible!? I have never had such poor service. I had asked for my hash-browns to be extra crispy and they were cold and raw. My toast was cold & old (not crispy, but soggy). My husbands toast was crispy, but cold and didn't come buttered (weird). I will NEVER go back to this place. After we left, my husband said it looked like they have a lot of regulars that they took care of before us. That's just bad business! read more

So I had breakfast here today with my boss... First, if you cant make eggs Benedict correctly. DON'T have 8 versions on the menu. Eggs were over cooked and it made me sad. However in my last 3 visits there the customer service or service in general is not good at all. My most recent visit I went and ordered a simple platter of a BLT and a soup as a starter. While the order should be simple and out fast it took over 30 minutes to get my food out. I do not mind waiting as long as I get updates but this staff or the owner wouldn't even acknowledge me when I tried calling them over. I used to be a waiter and it is customary that the soup or starter be brought out before anything else but I got my soup and sandwich out at the same time. Finally after getting my food I realized the soup was cold and when I told the owner she did not seem to care and just gave me my bill. This place needs to turn their service around. read more

I have been coming to this location for years when it was all the other restaurants. So we had breakfast here and I ordered the Omelette with a side of hash browns and pancakes. The meal was terrible. The omelette was a dark gray color, the hash browns weren't golden crispy brown and they brought out the pancakes when I was nearly done with the entire meal. This place has really gone down hill. I have ordered stuffed French toast several times and today I ordered it and they stuffed it with cottage cheese. I said something and true waitress took it back and we could hear the cook yelling at her. Then she cane back and said he would fix it. She brings the 2nd order out and this time it's stuffed with ricotta cheese. Are you kidding me???? I am not a chef but I do know you stuffed French toast with a cream cheese mixture. My wife and I stopped in two weeks ago since we were in the area and as has been noted before, there aren't many places to go to around Romeoville. I was hesitant. Not because of bad reviews but on the two times we've been here previously (years ago) it just wasn't anything special. This time we enjoyed everything, from the clean, bright, spacious dining room to the cheery service to the very good breakfasts we had...a ham and cheese omelet and one of their skillets. They were moderately busy at 10:30 on a Friday morning but things went well and the food came rather quickly, freshly made and hot. My only complaint might be that the hash browns could have been crispier. I did our server a disservice by not catching her name. She was efficient and friendly. I can only hope that we will be served by her again, or that the rest of the staff is the same way. Forget the unpleasant reviews from 2014 and earlier. It appears that a change has come. read more
