It's not fair to judge this particular location for selling inferior products, but this is where it was bought. My parents got me the sweet and spicy beef jerky and the habanero mango peanuts a part of my christmas gift and both are terrible. Way too much sugar in both. I'll give the jerky a pass because it leads with the sweet, but the peanuts are awful. It's more sugar and artificial fruit flavor than peanut. You get a bit off heat at the end, but the whole point of using habanero chilis is that it has a natural fruity flavor that is completely masked by the sugar and artificial fruit flavor. Could have just used capsaicin extract and would have the same effect. And would be much cheaper. I know this location isn't responsible for production. This store has become a tradition for me and my dad to stop by every time we're in town I'm sad that they discontinued the Sriracha beef jerky flavor but everything else they sell is fantastic as well if you are looking for something that is still spicy but not ghost pepper spicy might I recommend the mango habanero beef jerky additionally they have a pretty decent selection of hot sauces and other fun things to pick up read more

I stopped in to pick up a few gifts since I was visiting a restaurant a few doors down. Camaron was welcoming and professional when I entered the store. He was helpful and not hovering, which I appreciated. He explained all the specials and pointed me to the single sticks of jerky since there were no samples currently being offered. I definitely purchased more than I would have had it not been for his advice. It's refreshing to see an employee that cares about their company. Stopped by here on a whim... If you like jerky, you'll love this place! I purchased the prime rib, carne asada, cherry smoked and a big prime rib slab. Great experience. The owner is very friendly and gives you a tour of his jerky flavors. They have a huge assortment of jerky, sausage, and pepperoni. Buffalo, Turkey, pig, and other exotic jerky. My favorites are the classic and Dill pickle flavors. They used to have an Asian jerky flavor. Loved it unfortunately they do not make it. The service is great. I think I have gotten their beef jerky backpacks and t-shirts. I think we have going when it opened in 2017. Free samples tell your friends about us. Just live the jerky. read more

I felt like the jerky was fine but really nothing special. The two things I got had really no flavor just a lot of spicy ness. There is a large variety of meats and flavors. They have about a million different types of jerkies. And you can try most of them. I went straight for the mix and match sticks (5 for $10). Alligator? Ostrich? How could I say no? Of course, their house jerkies were also wonderful. The Korean flavor was probably the best. Sweet and tangy. But I also liked the more spicy ones like the Cajun crawfish spiced beef jerky. They also have coated popcorns, nuts, and various chocolate covered candies. Plus a wide range of hot sauces with funny names. Waaaay exceeded my expectations of what I thought I was going to. My friend had been here on her vacation last year, and said we definitely have to stop here on this trip. I thought, yeah, ok. Well, this place is amazing!! Our sales team, Johmar and Eric greeted us immediately and encouraged us to sample as much as we liked. They were knowledgable about the products and were easy to talk to. I never expected to buy so much, including dog treats. So many flavors and types of jerky and meat sticks. This is one of our favorite places to visit when we come down to OBX. There's currently no taste-testing the various flavors of jerky due to COVID... but they still have a phenomenal selection of products and really great customer service. I have also used their shipping before, to have my husband's favorites shipped to us for a Christmas gift. Shipping was quick and reliable and our order was perfect. My family was in town a couple weeks ago and said to check this place out. Two trips there this week and over a hundred bucks later, I think it's safe to say this place is pretty awesome. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was great. Lots of awesome selection from different cuts of game, styles of preparations, and many flavors, and you can try pretty much anything they have in the store. Really enjoyed their stuff and a cool experience for something like jerky! Proud to say we'll be stopping through and ordering from here for a while now! They have free beef jerky tastings here and do not follow you around the store judging you for trying each one. We were greeting as soon as we walked in by an older gentleman. He was friendly and told us we could try as much jerky as we liked. Johmar helped us after trying a few and gave us some pretty good recommendations. He was really nice and we enjoyed speaking with him. He checked on us several times and made us feel welcome and made sure to answer any questions we had. I have never been to a Jerky Outlet before, but the jerky is so good! It was tender, fresh, and had great flavor. The ghost pepper (or maybe it was Carolina reaper) beef jerky was so delicious and spicy! We were surprised because we normally can never find anything spicy enough to our liking!
