Oh the smell of fresh roasted coffee wafting through the front door.... Heavenly…read more Very cool, independent coffee shop in the heart of historic, downtown Manteo. Located in an older building, the cafe has a relaxing, "stay a while" vibe. We were drawn to the large prayer wall filled individual prayers left by patrons. Soothing, compassionate feel. We are not religious and noticed the highly religious theme of this cafe, which is OK with us as it seems the owners/management walk the talk. They donate a percentage of their profits to charities. We ordered a mango-pineapple smoothie and two decaf mochas. Our granddaughter felt the smoothie's pineapple taste overshadowed the mango, but enjoyed it. We liked that the mochas were smooth, had a rich coffee flavor and were not too sweet. The warmed cinnamon roll which we shared was perfectly done. Soft, gooey and full of cinnamon with minimal icing. We purchased a bag of coffee beans, which this company roasts themselves, for our son for Father's Day. When Manteo, we will be back.

Me, my sister, and my mother are Dunkin to Starbucks people so we didn't like it. It was a cute place and nice people. But it hurt my stomach so bad I threw it up and we all threw our drinks out and got Dunkin.. But if you go to coffee shops and get it with the beans and made from scratch, you'll like the place. (This may just be me cause I'm usually a pretty anxious emetophobia person but I never throw up fr anxiety.)

Delicious and the umami of the fish radiates on the whole bowl. Amazing flavor and just right for my very picky tastebuds. We also had the special of the day which is Fried oysters and my husband had Fish of the day. They can get really busy when we first came in the first lady was quiet busy with other things and she didn't quite talk to us right away. I was beginning to get worried since i have experienced this is some businesses nearby, but when she was available she was pleasant to us and made sure our order was correct. The kids also had Mochiko fried chicken and Tacos shredded chicken. They said they liked it. It gets busy so if you don't want to seat outside in the heat make sure you come at 11:00 am.

We stopped by on a Sat for lunch and had no line to order. Dining area inside, but we opted to…read moresine outside on the patio under umbrella shade. While I went in and wanted to order fish Tacos, the menu was fried fish (which My preference is not to be fried)....they offered to not fry it....but it didn't seem like a normal practice so I pivoted on my selection. We both ordered Tuna Poke Bowls ($14) and we were not disappointed! Fresh and tasty!
