Massive truffle fries (called chips but more like logs lol), don't sleep on the Gouda Mac and cheese, farmer fresh sliced squash and my meal, the 12oz steak on a bed of Peruvian mash potato's with shiitake mushrooms rounded out with asparagus. Fish and Chips, Haddock, whole potato wedges tartar and ketchup with a lemon wedge. The fish was prepared very well, the potatoes like home style and the mac and cheese very good, rich creamy and tasty. The Haddock was a nice large filet, breaded lightly and tender. A good meal. We started with a few pretzels with the beer cheese, which were fantastic. Then I was craving the Reuben, which was better than I even remembered. Not massively big but some of the best flavored meat I've had in a Reuben in a while. You can tell they cook it themselves and it was really super! Rest of the family bangers and mash and a lot of fish and chips, which is something they are known for. Great service, excellent cocktails, and the food was spot on. A great venue to spend the evening got home early to have a great weekend but so glad we came here Friday night. We live nearby and hardly ever come, and this was a real treat. Highly recommend.

Happy Hour is where it's at, especially on Mondays. Drinks are cheap during happy hour! They open at 2:00 p.m. during the week and at 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. I had been told that the food was good and surprisingly, yes the Reuben Sandwich I ordered was exceptional - juicy pile of corned beef sauteed with kraut and Russian Dressing on marbled rye. I ordered mine with a side of broccoli to maintain the semblance of eating healthy. The service was really good considering I was one of the first two people there (seating took a minute) with a great server who came by frequently to make sure my needs were met. The food came out almost instantly - less than 5 minutes after I ordered, with a steaming sandwich and veg. I plan to explore this place more the next time I'm in town.
