Ok, the food is pretty good and I've been coming here for a couple years. On the other hand, their customer service is atrocious. Yesterday, I came in armed with a Groupon that offered $10 for $5. I bought it some time ago and it was set to expire yesterday. So I get to the counter to place my order and am greeted by a guy who challenges the coupon, takes my phone out of my hand and tells me it's only worth $5. I try to explain the coupon and attempt to get my phone back from him to point things out. He pulls MY phone away from me and alerts a manager. Manager simply tells him to give me $10. He argues with the manager, all the while, completely ignoring me and what I was trying to say. Food gets made, employee keeps eyeing me with a pouty look the whole time I'm eating. I finish and get in my car, pull around the parking lot to exit, and there he is, pouty employee standing in the window to purposely make eye contact, wave and show me a creepy smile. I stopped the car in the middle of the parking lot and stormed back in to tell the manager. He immediately defends the restaurant while I'm trying to tell him what the guy did. He shuts up long enough to realize what had happened, yells at the guy "we're going to have a serious talk", and hands me a $10 coupon for next visit. I realized that every time I have brought in a Groupon (3 times), I have been questioned and given a look by the cashier. Why do they advertise an offer if they are always so skeptical of it and treat customers like this? Why do they hire such jerks to greet the customers? Screw that. Not going back. read more

First ones in at 11 am and the place was disgusting. Tables were dirty, floor was dirty, counters were dirty, nothing had been cleaned. Made me wonder if the back had even been cleaned the night before, since obviously the night shift didn't do any cleaning they were supposed to and the morning shift didn't care. Is it me or has this place been going downhill over the last 3-6 months? Love the fact that the dogs come with fries that fried in lard. Had a couple regular beef sandwiches and they were just OK. I think the cook forgot to put the proper amount of beef on. I've been coming to this place for years, and the food is generally very good, but the service is horrible. There's an employee that has worked there for years, he is slightly 'off' and it has gotten worse over the years. When I was in today he was just plain rude, and obnoxious, I told my friend as soon as we walked in if he was running the register our order would be wrong. Lo' and behold it was, and when we went back to have it corrected he got angry with us and told us we had ordered wrong. Sorry buddy my friend heard me order exactly the way I wanted it. The fries are outstanding. The beef sandwiches are loaded with beef, cheese, and garlic butter if requested. I have to say flavor is lacking even if dipped. The au ju needs to be worked on. Having recently visited this place after a long absence,I know the reason why I have not been there. There were three people behind the counter all with indifferent attitudes. I placed my order ,got my drink and condiments and looked for a place to set up. Most area save one were not cleaned up. Further more, the ketchup dispenser was empty and my favorite cola was not working. This all before I sat down to eat . I don't normally eat large beef sandwiches, but my friend said it was good so i gave it a try. The large sandwich is ridiculous. My friend ate it in one sitting so i had no choice, but to man up. Afterward heart burn and other issues came up. Boy was it good going down! They give you a lot of beef for the money. You may want to split that large sandwich into two. Beef was juicy, well cooked and flavorful. I didn't even touch the fries because I got so full off of the sandwich. Menu is very small so I have not tried any else. The beef and half baked bread are delicious. They put the beef and cheese on the bread, then it send it through the oven to finish baking the bread and melt the cheese. The bread is essentially always fresh baked. 2 years ago, I would have rated this 5 stars. I've been eating here for years and noticed the portions continue to get smaller, and the prices continue to go up. The drop in value and not allowing CCW has kept me from my old days of eating here once or twice a week, to once or twice a month.
