I just got a steak and cheese sandwich from here. I got a small size because this area always lets me down and when I say this area, I mean the DMV but specifically Montgomery County, Maryland. When I got home, I was absolutely shocked! The sandwich was actually the real deal. The meat was super tender, no connective tissues, no chewy meat. The bun was super fresh and soft. This area seems to think that CheesesteakCo up in Baltimore County somewhere or Glen Bernie is the best but no it's not sorry! Tuesday 1/7/2025 Came across this spot randomly on Yelp a few years ago and saw they had some popular items like wings and cheesesteaks but what caught my eye most was the different empanada flavors. I made a pickup order over the phone and everything went well. One thing I got notified by the worker was that the empanadas will soon be leaving the menu permanently, so luckily I could try them before the change went into effect. For my order I got: applefest empanadas (2 ct) $6.49, steak and cheese (provolone) $12, and the 12 ct Mexican BBQ wings $16.49. - When it comes to the Applefest empanadas they were decent and they kind of reminded me of the McDonald's apple pies (an item I last tried YEARS ago). But I didn't like the $3.25 cost per empanada and being forced to order the empanadas in 2s-4s-6s without having the opportunity to mix flavors. - The steak and cheese was alright. It didn't wow me or anything but it gets the job done. - The Mexican bbq wings are a pretty good price, but I made a mistake with the flavor as the dry rubbed "Mexican bbq" wings were weak. Luckily, I had some BBQ sauce at home, and adding it to the wings enhanced the experience. Overall, Beers and Cheers is a cool little spot. Outstanding steak and cheese. I love the quality of the meat, and it was so flavorful (I got American cheese, Mayo, lettuce, tomato in addition to the grilled onions and grilled green peppers it comes with). Each bite made me happy, just make sure to eat it within 15 mins or it'll get soggy. I also got sweet potato fries with it and they were solid. Just a nice laid back vibe in the store too. read more

This restaurant is a little hidden gem tucked into a beer and wine shop. The cheese steaks are really delicious. They have two dozen or so beers on tap, with a good mix of styles (and many are local beers). They offer outdoor seating in the warmer weather. Prices are reasonable. Service is good overall (see below). I would give them a 5/5 except that maybe 10% of the time I go, the service disappoints. While the servers are typically quite attentive, I've had a few cases where that was not the case. But hey, we're not eating at the Four Seasons, so I will cut them some slack. If you are in the area, check them out. And order one of the cheese steak options, if you are so inclined. read more

Beers and Cheers food quality is exceptional and the service has always been great! However, the accuracy with my carryout orders has been an ongoing problem. For example, I ordered a steak and cheese salad, a sub without the bread on a bed of lettuce. When I received my order, there was no lettuce. When I questioned, I was told I should have requested lettuce. Recently, I placed an order that included four subs and tater tots. I requested sides of jalapeños and pickles. Prior to my husband returning home with our dinner order, I received a phone call from George, an owner, informing me that my sides had erroneously been excluded. He apologized and graciously stated that he would take care of me next time I placed an order. This evening I called, asked for George and spoke with Iyad, an owner. While attempting to place my order, there was significant background noise. It was very difficult to hear each other clearly. He repeatedly interrupted me while I attempted to place my order. Frustrated, I asked him to stop interrupting me, it was rude, and allow me to complete placing my order, then ask questions. A reasonable request. When my husband picked up our order, he was told by Iyad, something along the lines of, if the order was incorrect we may consider ordering elsewhere. This is a local beer and wine store with the option to eat and drink in. There's is live music Thursday thru Saturday. The staff is friendly, the patrons not so much. You can enjoy a 6 oz glass of wine for about $6.99, not including tax. Also, you can buy your daily lottery tickets here. Just remember to bring cash only for just the lottery purchase. I've been a few times just to buy beers and it was always busy. We recently came on a weekday night. There is a great tap list (over 25+) and prices are responsible. We got the philly cheesesteak, fries and tatar tots. Food was good, especially their philly cheesesteak as I wasn't expecting much. They have a lot of food options (wings, subs, empanadas, chili, etc) for a beer store. Service was also great. Happy hour is Monday-Friday 4-7pm and Sundays all day. There is live music on some nights (Thursday-Saturday, schedule is on Facebook). There is outdoor (covered by a tent) and indoor seating. They have discounted beers by the cashier desk. I've been coming back here and eating their cheesesteak sandwiches. It is quite good and very satisfying. Seems this place and other beer store delis are getting some great reviews about their cheesesteaks in MoCo Support restaurants group page in FB and I can see why. They also have beer on the tap and before covid, a smaller indoor seating. This place is like a smalller version of downtown Crown Beer and Wine store, but with a whole lot more of food options! I really like their beer selections and many local breweries beer are here too. Haven't shopped here for wine yet, just beer. Fabulous place that's a great meetup spot. It's not a bar, it's not a deli and it's not only a beer and wine store. There was seating outside as well as inside to enjoy lots of beers on tap. Growlers were being filled and the takeaway food was fast and good. It's possibly the most extensive stout selection I've seen in the area. The sandwich and snack selection is good but I continue to search for a truly stuffed Philly cheese steak. Flavor was spot one. This place is awesome! Incredible beer selection, friendly helpful staff, generous samples, and a growing food menu to keep you fed. It is a bit disorganized inside as there is beer EVERYWHERE, but I prefer to order a draft from the front counter and then walk around with it while browsing for beer. If you see a four pack you want to sample, they will usually break it up for you so you can just buy a single. The sandwiches are solid. The chili is great, if not kind of a small portion. The empenadas are also very good, although kind of pricey for what you get. They also recently added wings which are good. They are spicy, sweet and saucy. So not an authentic buffalo wing, but different enough to not be the same as everyone else's. They have live music on the weekends and outside tables when the weather is nice. Give it a shot when you are in the area. They are similar to the Downtown Crowne beer store but less snooty. The beer here is still more than you used to pay for your bud sixer, but it's not as bad as the Crowne where every single 6 pack seems to make you check your wallet. If you and your friends opened up a beer store, this would be it. Seems to be nice hardworking guys that deserve your business. Give them a try if you haven't. read more

This is a beer/wine store, but bonus: they have a small bar/restaurant area with some absolutely wonderful food. After popping in a few times to buy beer, we noticed how busy it always is and decided to try. It did not disappoint! Tried the Buffalo wings (crispy and cooked to perfection), cheese pizza empanadas, turkey sub, fries, and a Philly cheesesteak (which was good for the area!). It shouldn't matter if I'm local or a tourist. My experience was subpar and made worse by the manager's response. I shouldn't be expected to give them stars because they're a small business. Beers & Cheers is a local business located at the Quince Orchard Shopping Center right next to Urban Crawfish. I've been meaning to stop by after the gym a few times and I finally went in the other night. I was surprised to see a mixture of empanadas on their food selection. I ordered the Mexican chorizo empanadas with the aji amarillo sauce based on the reviews I read on Yelp. The empanadas were delicious just wished they were a little bigger in size for the price. They also had steak and cheese and other sub choices as well. There were a few tables if you decide to eat and hangout and drink with friends. There was live music by a local artist and he sang a few old hits that I enjoyed very much. The staff were all nice and attentive! The reason it's not 4/5 or 5/5 is that sometimes I've had some cheesesteaks here that are a bit lacking on the meat. Otherwise, they are well done. An item that I didn't expect to be really good were their empanadas. Joyce really loves these and I think we've tried all their different ones. You can also buy them frozen to cook at home. You can get them with a side of a variety of different sauces, we usually get the yellow sauce. Their loaded fries are also tasty. Their beer selection is fine, reminds me of the Downtown Crown Beer and Wine store but with good food. I went there to give it a try, I was curious about the empanadas, I asked what type of empanadas they were, and the waitress ignored me, the second time I asked she said: "they are fried" ... no kidding I wanted to know what type of empanadas, Chilean, Argentinian, Colombian, Cuban, Venezuelan etc. By, now you might have guessed I did not like my waitress, she was rude, impolite and loutish. I asked: "what kind of beers do you have in tap?" she replied: "all 28 beers are in tap, we have all kinds" again, not the type answer I was looking for. I asked her to recommend a Lager and I feel that I stumped the chump, she looked at the menu up and down a couple times, and said: "you take a look and let me know what you want, giving me the beer menu for the first time, 5 min after I ordered my first beer, I had to ask her for a food menu, which she tossed to me. I asked her how big the empanadas were and she described the size twice as big as the actual empanada. I wanted to order 4 different types to try them and she rudely replied: "we can't split them, they come in pairs" no additional explanation. I ordered a pair of chorizo and a pair of Guava and Cheese, the Chorizo empanadas were ok, the Guayaba and Queso were over cocked, the crust was sooo hard and the cheese was nowhere to be found. After my first beer, my waitress never bother to ask me how the food was or if I wanted anything else. I had the 4 empanadas, I could have eaten something else as they were very small, but I didn't want to order anything as I didn't want to be mistreated again. The only reason I even came up here I live nowhere near Gaithersburg is because online it says they have a specific mixer/non-alcoholic drink my wife sent me up here for. They've never heard of it no idea why the company has them as a distributor or sales rep then. I go to buy something else and when I get to the register the price I paid was not what was marked on display and they offered to give me a full refund why not just refund me the difference because somebody who works in this establishment put the wrong pricing up not the consumers fault. I stop dealing with the one even further away because they are so rude in Germantown and didn't want to spend my money there, same owner seems like same crappy practices... Stop by for empanadas after seeing their promotion on Facebook. Ordered a few as a snack: beef, chorizo, and guava/cheese. They came out piping hot and with different dipping sauces: garlic aioli, cilantro cream, and chipotle cream. I thought they may be a little bigger since its $5.49 for 2, but it still hit the spot. All the flavors of the empanadas and sauces were good and I'd definitely would return to try other flavors. Absolutely great customer service from the manager which I told him my budget and he walked me through the complete inventory of wines in order to facilitate my party. It isn't just a store for beer and wine they actually have dining options of hot and cold subs and empanadas! If you TVs to catch a game or two as well as lottery available. When I was there it was 15% off six bottles of wine or 20% off a case so keep that in mind and look for their specials as you can really get some great bargains. read more

Women steer clear--- the store manager is a rude, jerk who disrespects customers and waitresses. I have been a customer there several times before but after last evening's experience- will never return. Stopped in for an after work brew...as they have a wide variety on tap. While standing at the "tap bar", I tried a few beer samples to hone in the beer I wanted to order, then out of nowhere -the manager yelled at me that the waitress serving me "[she] had other work to do". I was shocked that he would talk to staff and a customer that way. I immediately told him that I understand and offered to pay for the samples at which time he became condescending, proceeded to mouth-off at me, and made disparaging remarks about me to some guys at the bar. I won't give him any satisfaction by repeating what he said. Maybe he was having a bad day - but that doesn't excuse bad behavior and disrespecting a customer. read more

What a great selection of beers! Today I had the strong bow cider actually, but I've had many of their beers and have always enjoyed the great selection. One of my favorites for summertime is the Schoferhoffer hefewiezen grapefruit. Their sandwiches and Empanadas are to die for. I had the steak and cheese, seriously good, and we had a variety of empanadas. The favorites were beef, chicken, and guava and cheese, and applefest. The veracruz fish left something to be desired. Their dipping sauces are also excellent. On one occasion they had excellent entertainment by a one man guitar playing singer Johnny Wilson. He was funny, great on the guitar and can sing nicely. This place is so amazing that the staff love to come here to work and interact with their guests. I Highly recommend this place as they have a huge wine selection. They also have some beer and 28 beers on tap. The deli puts out more food than any other small kitchen that we've been to and it's super good. Okay so we live in Gaitherburg and somehow never knew about this place! But now since we've gone I think this place will have some new regulars :) This place is an alcohol store with just some tables and seating in the front. We didn't expect such a place to have good food but the Yelp pictures just looked so good! I ordered two orders of empanadas: Mexican chorizo and chicken. You get a choice of sauce with each so I was recommended the cilantro and aji amarillo. Let me just say the Amarillo sauce was an excellent recommendation! The Mexican chorizo was my favorite - it tasted like a spicy ground beef and had corn in it. The chicken was good but just slightly bland after the flavor of the chorizo. David and I also shared the loaded chili fries which were very tasty as well. Overall, 5/5! Their staff was friendly and very attentive to us despite it being a beer store. There wasn't anything super remarkable about the experience. I was excited to try Beers & Cheers Too since it seemed like a lowkey place with good food and beer (I mean what more could you ask for?). Although the service was incredible, and the beer was good, the food was pretty bad. Our server let us try a few beers before selecting our pints and was very attentive. But like I said - the food was bad. The wings were very sticky sweet and small for the price. The famous empanadas were also disappointing, there wasn't enough filling. I hate to be thaaaaat person, but I've had some really amazing empanadas and these just didn't cut it for me. TLDR; good service and beer, not so great food. read more

First off, I must say- these French fries are some of the best around. Secondly- everything else is amazing, too (we also had chicken empanadas and the southwestern chicken sandwich) . We went for happy hour and were shocked by the great deals. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They had a live band which was an added plus. The store itself is also great.
