I have been here before! This time was a fun as it was before! Beer was so good and view is amazing. Weather here is just great! We had fun. I recommend it!!

Nice little brewery. Feels like a local place. Little outdoor patio, where you can hear the sounds of the marina. Great views of the rock, couldn't see the stacks from the brewery though. They had some signs about previously being an aquarium, not sure if these were jokes or actually true. The beer wall, needs better description on it, it just said like stout for example but what kind of stout. The physical menu only had the food on it. The restrooms have a lock. Nice place to grab a drink. Small parking lot.

Stopped by here on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The outside has nice views of the big rock. The beer options were great and tasty. Customer service was awesome. The Chicago dog was delicious. Very flavorful and the bread was very soft. Definitely a cool spot with chill vibes.

Looking at Morro Rock from the patio.

Fun little brewery. They have a good selection of their own beers and visiting taps. Friendly staff. Great outdoor seating.

Great beer. Great location. Great hotdogs. The staff is really friendly. There's a limited number of inside seats and a decent amount of patio seating, which is great, weather permitting. A decent selection of beer, the words I'd use to describe this brewery is consistency. Every time I've been here the beer tastes the same, they don't do that many different styles, but what they do, they do well.

Beautiful view overlooking Morro Bay. Stopped on in for a little drink with the family as we awaited our boat to arrive. Service was great, and super friendly staff!

Very polite bartender today. The place has a great view of morrow bay. I love that they had a non alcoholic hazy. My husband had their session IPA. He said it was ok. We will be back to try more. Cute spot!

Brilliant beer, perfect hot dogs, and the best crew. I love this place and everyone that I've met!

The service was incredible. The bartender was the best. A bird pooped in my drink and he replaced my beer and helped me clean the table. The rock hot dog had a nice kick. The cheese and toppings came together for a nice fusion. The hot dog itself was cooked really well. Overall for the price point it was a good hotdog. The Cuban was good as well. Had a very nice cheese pull. We sat outside and it was absolutely gorgeous. Great views of the harbor and the rock. Loved the beer too so delicious.

Food: We didn't eat here, but we saw people pretty happy with their food. Definitely want to try the pretzel bites next time! Service: The service was very friendly and helpful. They welcomed everyone that came through the same way and gave the same attentiveness to everyone. Ambiance: The inside is nice and clean. Outside there are shaded tables and a bar table with a view of the water and the rock. It is all well-maintained. The other customers were great too. A fun atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again!

Great people and dog friendly. Great view from the patio and a very chill vibe. They have a limited food menu but if you like hot dogs they have a variety of hot dogs available. I had the blonde ale and it was great. Kind of tasted like a Hef. Will stop by next time I am in the area.

Great location and view of Morro Bay! The dogs were tasty and the ingredients all tasted fresh and of high quality. I love the pretzel bun with the cheese sauce especially paired with the Greenery hazy IPA! Bartender probably wasn't having a good night but I won't hold that against em!

Came here with friends before camping. My friend brought his dog with them and we were able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and sunny day. The service, food, and drinks were good. I had the pretzel and cheese and wine. Overall it was very chill vibe and just what we needed. There's street parking and parking spaces right next to the patio.

Ask the Community - Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing

Is it ok to bring in outside food, like a sandwich, to enjoy with my beer?

Hi Gabe, no we don't allow any food to be brought inside our establishment. We operate a kitchen as well as being a brewery, please enjoy something that you purchase from our own menu.

Do you have Gluten Free options? Do you offer Gift Cards?

We brew our beer with an enzyme that removes the gluten in our beer & have it tested in a lab. Results come back that our beer brewed here is less than 10 ppm gluten, so its considered highly gluten reduced. As for the food, we do offer a few…

Unfortunately, each visit has felt a little less impressive than the one before it, and this most recent experience was disappointing enough that I probably would not return. Parking is usually easy, and I have never had to walk more than a couple of minutes. There are also a couple of EV spaces nearby. When my girlfriend and I walked inside, the restaurant felt unusually warm, humid, and stuffy. It was uncomfortable enough that we briefly considered leaving. We chose outdoor seating instead, but that comes with its own drawbacks. The tables are exposed to the afternoon sun, pedestrians walk just feet away, vehicles pass close by, and the working dock is nearby, so you hear forklifts, unloading equipment, and active fishing operations throughout the meal. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which I have ordered on all three visits. They were good and are honestly one of the main reasons I have continued returning. They are not easy to find where I live, and this version is enjoyable, even if it is not on the level of what I have had in places like New Orleans. My girlfriend ordered the clam chowder with bacon. We have been comparing clam chowders around the Central Coast, and unfortunately this one ranked last among the several we have tried so far. She described it as average and nothing memorable. I ordered the steamer clams, and this was easily the biggest disappointment. The very first clam I ate had noticeable grit in it, and unfortunately that continued through most of the bowl. I would estimate that the majority of the clams had some amount of sand or grit, which made them unpleasant to eat. I also found one clam that remained completely closed after cooking. I left it untouched. At a restaurant specializing in seafood, I expected more careful preparation and inspection. The broth was also surprisingly bland. I ended up adding hot sauce just to give it more flavor. As I worked through the broth, I also noticed three small hairs. I cannot say where they came from, but finding multiple hairs in the same dish was understandably concerning and further reduced my appetite. The service did not help. Our server took our order, delivered drinks and food, and eventually brought the check, but there was very little interaction between those points. No one checked whether we needed anything or asked how the food was going. That was especially frustrating because if someone had checked in, I would have had an opportunity to mention the problems with the clams while I was eating them. Overall, the Oysters Rockefeller were still good, but almost everything else about this visit was disappointing: the uncomfortable indoor environment, noisy outdoor seating, average chowder, gritty clams, bland broth, cleanliness concerns, and minimal service. I have enjoyed this restaurant more in the past, but after this experience, I think there are other places around Morro Bay where I would rather spend my money.
