It's 3 acres and has tons of trees, foliage, flowers, ponds, benches, and bridges. It feels like someone's large extended backyard. It's only open on the weekends 10-4. There were many flowers that I'd didn't recognize but some I knew were Water Lilies, Lily of the Nile, English Ivy, Bamboo, and wild raspberries. It's mostly if not all shaded, which is a great idea to do on a hot summer day.

There are several ponds, many benches scattered throughout plus a barn that has a bathroom, coffee and snacks with a voluntary contribution jar. Large patio areas with seating and umbrellas so perfect for a picnic. The friendly owners welcomed us and gave wacker of us a beautiful bouquet when we left. They also have some plants for sale and a few gardening books. I had only been there once before and I definitely recommend that you visit.

Really beautiful plants. No distinct area to know what is for sale and what isn't for sale. Saw no one. Only a dog that barked, sniffed us and then walked back in the house. I thought he would have alerted the owner that we were there, but no one came out. :( Saw LOTS of cute things and unique succulents that I would have purchased, but no one came out to greet us. Would be nice if there was a sign explaining what to do if you want to buy something. Maybe I should have called the number on this yelp listing? Hours of operation is confusing as well. It was a Sunday morning around 10am. Oh well. It was quite an adventure! Might try again next time we're in the area!! Like I said, intriguing!

We ended up with a big project to line our fence with clumping bamboo to provide more privacy and three larger bamboo plants to fill in where we had empty spots from cut down trees. Josh, Jeremy, and Kyle were at our house three days after we visited the nursery and did a fantastic job planting and getting irrigation set up for us. We absolutely love our new bamboo and can't believe it was in the ground to enjoy by the next weekend. We can't wait to see it filled in! Thank you so much!!!

Excellent local garden center. I do native plant landscaping as a side business and have a degree…read morein plant and soil science, so I like to think I know what makes a good garden center. This particular location has a terrific selection of most types of plants. Lots of edible stuff like veggie starts and fruiting bushes and trees. The majority of the available plants are mix of Mediterranean and CA native landscaping plants with a handful of the standard shrubs/trees you'll find at every nursery in the U.S. like crepe myrtles and ornamental conifers. Also tons of herbaceous flowering perennials ranging from 4" pots up to 5 gallons. Also, a great house plant selection! I also believe this spot deserves some serious credit for their selection of native plants. One of the only spots in California you can readily purchase 4" starts of native annuals as well as cryptic and rare perennials. Just a couple days ago, I saw they were selling tomcat clover! That is just too cool. I also just bought a ground cover cultivar o CA buckwheat I've never even heard of. They clearly have someone in their procurement department who knows a good deal about natives. In terms of dry goods, they have a wide variety of pottery as well as all your standard garden center goods such as fertilizers, pest control, irrigation equipment, and general gardening supplies. What really tickles me is their bulk seeds. They have a full hallway with containers on either side with scoopers where you can buy any Lb amount of these seeds. They have tons of landscaping and pasture grass seed as well as some neat cover crop and cover crop mixes. My only complaint about this section is that not all labels have the scientific names. Some do, which is great since you know exactly the species that is being sold. However, one of the erosion control mix listed an annual "California festuca" and a perennial "California festuca". Unsure what species are being sold or if they are actually CA natives. Ultimately not a big deal and I'm sure the staff would be happy to get me the details. BUT if I made the labels...I may include the scientific name ;) All in all, this store and its other locations are a shining light in a dim world of big box stores selling garbage. You truly can find whatever you need for your projects here. I aways stop in when I'm in the area and buy a handful of things. I'll be a customer for as long as they are around!

I have been shopping at Harmony for almost 30 years and it remains a fabulous nursery with a large…read morevolume and variety of healthy plants. On my recent visit I spent about 30 minutes outside and 15 inside looking at various plants, fertilizer and tools. I passed about 5 employees and not a single one greeted me. When I checked out the cashier never looked at me or greeted me at all- the only conversation was whether I needed a box or receipt. It's really sad to see their service be so lackluster! Hopefully just a bad day?

They have an amazing collection of healthy plants, succulents, cacti, bonsai trees as well as numerous greenhouses you can walk through filled with all kinds of potted plants. Their selection is varied and not what you would normally see at other nurseries. I've noticed their plants at other stores so they wholesale as well. When the weather is nice, it is a peaceful quiet place to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the property. Their employees are always very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It's hard to walk away without a new green friend in your arms. Parking could be tight on Saturdays. Open limited days and hours.

They also sell and distribute potted herbs like Chervil in a cool biodegradable pot that I picked up at Yamagami's Nursery in Silicon Valley. Chervil is the unsung hero herb in authentic Herbes de Provence (chervil, savory, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, and oregano). It is hard to find but worth the effort if you enjoy French cooking with fresh ingredients you can grow right in your own backyard.
