Have a seven year old water heater that I wanted a simple flush and anode replacement on. Before the discount, and with tax, the estimate came to $1400! Told the guys the price was outrageous and they at least left without charging me the $99 show up fee. This is what happens when you use the top rated people on Google. You'll just have to go back to word of mouth and do your homework like our folks did. Otherwise, you're setting yourself up to be scammed. read more

The prices are sky high and not reasonable. $3,800 to install a new hot water heater and dispose of the old one isn't reasonable and as a guardian for my brother I would never have approved it. That makes the labor over $500 an hour. They have been very poor to folllow up with return phone calls (took two weeks). If they tell you their rates are standard to the Industry they are lying, My brother had the same hot water heater installed one week prior and the price was $1500 less for licensed plumbers. We had this company come out as the first of three plumbing companies to evaluate a cracked pipe in our home, and it was quite the experience. From the start, the plumbers warned us not to touch the pipe because it might "break at any time," which was a little alarming. After some time, they presented us with two possible solutions--both involving major demolition. Their "best case scenario" estimate was around $9,000, while the "worst case scenario" was more than $20,000, requiring an 8-foot hole in the ground, tearing up our yard, and even removing windows. I can't emphasize enough how alarmist they were about our situation. The interaction itself was unusual--the two plumbers gave off a strange good cop/bad cop dynamic that didn't leave us feeling confident or at ease. While they may have been trying to prepare us for the worst, the delivery felt overwhelming and not particularly professional. Thankfully, the next two plumbers we had come out were much less reactionary and more matter-of-fact. Both agreed the job should be relatively straightforward, and each offered a logical, creative solution to help prevent future damage in case our pipes are in worse condition than expected. They each had a very clear understanding of old Seattle homes. Their quotes ranged from $2,000-$6,000, which felt far more reasonable and aligned with the actual scope of work. (In the end, it was a quick fix and we paid $2k). read more

TLDR: I highly recommend Josh G and Nate from Bee's Plumbing for your plumbing needs. Today, April 15, 2025, Josh G and Nate came to my house to repair a leaky bath faucet and shower head. Josh and Nate were both polite and professional. They troubleshooted the problem and quickly identified the issue. Additionally, they found that the water pressure was well above code (running 115 psi instead of the max of 80 psi). They completed the job and took great care of our house, leaving it clean and looking better than they found it. Further, they re-caulked the bathroom sink (as it was in poor condition). The sink looks great! For a professional job with skilled work, I recommend Josh and Nate for your next plumbing job. I too will have them back next week to install a regulator to lower the pressure down to code. read more

Update: upon reading my negative review, I received a call from Bee's customer service administrator to discuss the experience and interaction I had with them to replace several water valves. He expressed deep regret for my experience and that it may have been due to miscommunication and/or misunderstanding of the job at hand. He very much wanted to do what he could to make this right so that I would become one of the many happy and satisfied customers they have. I understand that errors or missteps happen and how one makes corrections/service recovery to that is what separates good contractors from bad ones, and I appreciate the efforts made by Bee's to make this right. With that, I may call upon Bee's again in the future to complete a project for me. read more

I requested service from Bee's a few times: toilet repair/replacement, installing hydronic heating system and most recently investigating a leak in my water circulation pump for my hydronic system. The response time and quality of service is great. The person that came to my place Jose was professional, explained things well and fixed things on time. This would be a 5 star easily if it wasn't for the latest experience on fixing a water circulation pump leak. The quote was obscene at $2500. The part online is $400 and the whole thing would take less than 30min max. Overall - fine service but not worth the price at all. Update: Bees reached back out and made this right. Really appreciated their desire to get things for the customer. They put forth a much more reasonable quote. read more

I made an appointment about two weeks ahead of time, and Eddie and his helper came out to hook up my dishwasher, kitchen faucets, and garbage disposal after new counters were installed. Gave me a quote on site that was reasonable (in plumbing world). We found that the new sink was lower than my old one, and the drain was too high, so he described what was wrong, clearly described how he would fix it, and quoted me an add-on price that was reasonable (in plumbing world). The work looks good and is compact and space appropriate. There is a warranty on the work. They were friendly, respectful, cleaned up after themselves. I had another big name plumbing co. work on a (completely different type) of job and thought the other ran high, so I called Bee's. Happy with them and I would call again. read more

I'm *super* late in writing this review, but it's for two separate service calls that I wanted to give praise for. Tate and Tyson came out and changed a bunch of leaky old valves to nice quarter-turn ones. They were good about communicating what they were doing and what they needed to do and gave a few options and quotes. Sam Sr. and Calista came out for an emergency service. I finally met Sam Sr. after working with Sam Jr. a few times! They were able to fix the issue and it turned out to not be as serious as I had feared, so I'm really appreciative they were honest and showed me the issue, and gave some tips. I'm really happy with Bee's as they are pretty quick to respond when some companies have just given up even pretending to care with any smaller jobs. read more

-2 stars for being wildly expensive -2 stars for doing a terrible (literally dangerous) job +4 star for good back-office communication in trying to resolve the situation **Update to below - after posting this review, Bee's reached out directly to address the problem and offered to reimburse me for $3000 to make sure we got a 5-star experience** On a Sunday morning our water heater failed. We called Bee's and they had someone available that evening. The guy came and said it would be $3800 for a replacement (50 gal gas - not a power vent or tankless, just a normal atmospheric water heater). That's incredibly expensive. Should be closer to $1700. But it was late on a Sunday and we wanted to get it over with. Fast forward a few hours - the guy tells me he's done and the gas exhaust vent fan is hired wired into a cut up extension cord. I sent the guy home and asked Bee's to send someone else out the next day. The second plumber said "everything about this is illegal and not to code." Not just the extension cord hack but the venting was at high risk for leaking carbon monoxide into the house and the wrong water heater was installed. Bee's offered to do a new install with updated venting for $7500... I called a new company (Benla Water Heaters) and they came out and re-did the work for $1700. In fairness, Bee's offered to price match the Benla price but that was too little too late. We no longer trusted having someone from Bee's do the work. If it hasn't been for the shoddy electric wiring, I never would have known about the improper venting issue. Follow up plumber later said it was only a matter of time before carbon monoxide spilled into the whole house. read more

Bee's Plumbing and Heating successfully got rid of all the worries of an out of town landlord like me again! I had a very good experience with Bee's Plumbing's work on malfunctioned food disposal in the past, so when my tenants informed me that the water heater completely stopped working...of course I freaked out knowing the water heater is maybe a bit old and hadn't been serviced as often. I called Bee's over the weekend and they were very professional. They had the records from previous engagement at my property of my contacts/work they did for me and the addresses all ready....very professional. I was able to schedule get them to come out first thing in the morning on Monday...so I was very happy (prior to this engagement with them...in the past I had contacted other plumbing service providers...and they just weren't responsive, reliable or accountable at all). Communications were perfect. They sent reminder of the appt, let me know once they were on their way..and their technician Adam was not only friendly and professional, but also very communicative with things that needed to be done for repair. Best of all, he was very flexible and were willing to help his customers out. I ended up asking him to replace the whole water heater instead of repair (so instead of maybe an hour or two of work..it probably took them longer to identify the right water heater for me and they were able to get that done the same day). He was thoughtful and clever in redesigning our main water shut off and was able to resuscitate our outside hose bibs. He is kind, friendly, communicative, and on time. After seeing all the good reviews, especially some reviews from my other fellow Elites, I gave it a try. Only $99 to come out to give me a bid sounded very attractive. That $99 would be waived if you use them to do the work. It also gave me a false impression of reasonable rates. They were able to send someone within an hour of my request, which was very amazing. We got Hayden, who was sweet and polite. He was able to identify the problem and got everything done quickly. He also explained every step and everything to let me know what is being done. However, I have to be honest to say that despite the cheap $99 quote rate their charges are pretty high. I did think of declining them by paying them $99, but I also understood that I might end up paying about the same if I would someone else for the basic minimum like $200-250 to show up. Therefore, although I thought it's expensive, I still let them do the work. I have no complaint about their work. Everything was properly done, and they did a great job in cleaning after the job. I am not sure if I would use them again since I know their actual rates are high. ***Update*** As soon as I submitted my above review, I received a phone call from Joe at the customer service. He saw my review and would like to make sure that I was happy with the price and the service. I told him frankly that the service was great but the rate was too high. He then asked me how much would it be reasonable to me. I told him that what I found out about the average rate of the plumbers and the cost of the materials. He then just went ahead to match the price I suggested, and he even went beyond to offer me more discount to make me happier. Within a few minutes, I received an updated invoice with the new price that we had talked about on the phone. I got another call again to make sure that I had received the new updated invoice. I also asked about an estimate that Hayden gave me during the visit where he recommended me to consider although it's not urgent nor was it part of today's project. They agreed to revisit the estimate if I would like to discuss further. I told them that I would consider it and that I would reach out when I am ready. I am happy that they care about their reputation and that they are willing to adjust their rates. I am happy to call them again for my next project. Had a leak in the underground water line going to the house. Doc and crew came out and were able to find and fix the leak in under 2 hours. They gave a clear estimate for the work they were going to do for digging and finding then fixing the pipe. Got lucky and the pipe wasn't under the driveway slab so they were able to get to it and fix it. From calling to get an appointment to them leaving after fixing the pipe was under 3 hours. Am really happy with the cost, and everyone I've talked to about it has remarked about how low the cost was for the work that was done. read more

I guess I'll start with the good points..they were able to come out immediately, always good in an emergency. They were pleasant, explained what they needed to do very clearly. I did question a few things however. First they quoted an $800.+ price to replace a water valve the connects to the washing machine and that it would take 2 hours. Then offered to knock $200. off that price. They ended up using the same valve just fixing it and it took from noon-12:30, not 2 hours. My husband asked if a half hour cost the same as 2hrs and they asked if we had a coupon..I said no. They kindly took another $100. off the price. So all in all, I'm glad it's done and I can now have the new washing machine installed but I did pay approx. $575. for no parts and half an hours work. My experience, you decide. read more

I couldn't have had a better experience. A household of 6 without hot water is an absolute nightmare. And here in less than 12 hours from an after hours call, the crisis is reversed. They gave me a very reasonable estimate and I was so relieved that I could ask them to fix it. A little later, though, they found that there was a larger problem behind the dripping faucet, which they showed me and explained clearly. Lead plumber Trent and apprentice Bryson were thorough, professional, and efficient throughout the project. Trent was extremely detailed during the initial quote and clearly explained each step. I really appreciated that the same technician who provided the quote was also the one who performed the work, it added a level of consistency and trust. The team worked hard while we were out of town to complete the interior portion before our return, even putting in time on Easter Sunday. Bees plumbing send an experienced plumber on Sunday. I'd like to update the previous review to a 4 star

This is the second time using Bee's. This time it was after I tried to replace a busted wax ring on the toilet in the basement. Once I got into it I also noticed a clog in the tub. Meanwhile the whole family noticed a bad smell coming from the basement. Because of that i also had a duct Cleaning service scheduled due to thinking that was where the smell was coming from. I called Bee's after realizing the clog wasn't a toilet issue because it was also happening in the adjacent bathtub. Sean and his apprentice Jason were dispatched. First what a great touch a picture and a small blurb of Sean before arriving was a nice touch from Bee's. Sean and Jason checked out the clog, took a look at a few other things as well. After some trouble shooting we figured out the GFI where our sump pump tripped and that's what caused the back up. Anyway they not only fixed this, they replaced two toilets with better units and than we figured the smell wasn't the ducts but the backed up sewage. They cleaned and deodorized the area. I didn't need the ducts inspected for a dead animal after all, which saved me $1,000! Sean and Jason were great! They educated me on a few house old items and were honestly overall great people!!! My 8-year-old Bosch tankless water heater sprung a leak, and we chose Bee's Plumbing based on the reviews here. They were very responsive, sending Blake and Callista out the very next day. I really appreciated the courtesy call 30 minutes prior, giving me a heads-up on their arrival window and a description of who to expect. Blake and Callista quickly and thoroughly diagnosed the problem, clearly explaining all my options and the pros and cons of each. They weren't pushy at all, which I appreciated. We opted for a replacement given some red flags of the current unit, low parts availability, and the discontinuation of the model. We chose the top recommendation (Navien) which gave us a recirculation upgrade to our existing system. The installation was meticulous and clean, with minimal drywall cutting and a thorough cleanup afterward. After the install, Blake patiently answered all my questions, explaining how the system works and encouraging us to test the hot water speed at our furthest faucets. Overall, a great experience! We'll definitely be using Bee's for all our future plumbing needs. read more

I noticed that my main cold-water inlet valve on my hot water heater was frozen and could not be turned off. This is an essential valve as if (okay, when) the HWH leaks, you need to be able to turn off the water at the tank instead of at the street. I had a previous encounter with Bee's and Joe asked to let him make it right as I had posted a 1-star review. I am unable to change that review... The process of getting the appointment, the reminders beforehand and the day of went smoothly. The crew showed up on time and went right to work. They did not park in my driveway, which I really appreciate. They were careful and aware that I could not clear out the shelving unit that partially blocked access. After careful planning, they were able to get the old valve removed and the new one in place and tested in about 90 minutes. They had all the requisite parts and tools on hand--an added plus. The job was highly professional and I'm well pleased. I will think of them when I need further plumbing needs. read more

The "price book" at Bee's stung me! My house in Kirkland had two leaking faucets (bathroom and kitchen) in need of repair. My 73 year old mother lives there, so she was able to deal with the plumber while I was working. Rather than fixing the leaks, Bee's recommended replacing the two faucets "to avoid further repairs." I was shocked at the price for the replacement - $2,209 (before tax). The faucets are quite basic, so this amount really didn't make sense to me. When I asked the plumber to break out the cost of the faucets vs. the labor, he said he didn't have that information. What he told me is that their prices are fixed fees based on their "price book." Not satisfied with that answer, I asked to speak with someone in their office. I got the same response - the prices are set in the "price book." I explained that I really didn't see the value in the amount they were charging, and simply wanted to understand what I was paying for. They finally acknowledged that the bathroom faucet was $100 and the kitchen faucet was $118. That leaves over $1,800 for labor! I told them $1,800 to install two faucets is an astronomical price. And they really couldn't explain it...other than continually referring to the mystical "price book." Would never use them again. Update: I had a very professional conversation with the Service Manager. We agreed on a total price of $818 (before tax). In full disclosure, they asked me what I viewed as a fair price, and I proposed $818. My math behind that was (i) $218 for the faucets and (ii) $600 labor for installation ($300 per faucet, which was the upper end of a fair price based on my research). As the conversation turned to my Yelp rating, they offered additional discounts and complimentary future services, which I declined. Candidly, I wasn't interested in negotiating the lowest possible price, as this was about more than money to me. I'm ultimately satisfied with the work and the price. However, I have not changed my 1 Star rating, because I can't endorse having to get on three phone calls to get to a reasonable outcome. read more
