Kiwi fruit tea in a cute cat cup
    Angela L.

I needed something sweet to drink and decided to randomly try a place. This was a cute little shop next to the famous Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. I tried their Bamboo Oolong Kiwi Fruit tea with sage with less sugar. Even at less sugar it was quite sweet. The drink was very refreshing. I watched them crush a fresh kiwi before pouring my drink. The sago was ok if a little hard but next time I think I'll leave it out. It doesn't need it. The lady behind the counter was friendly and professional.

This was actually way better and more unique than I expected. I got the hand pounded mochi drink. The mochi is hand pounded and so instead of it tasting super heavy, it was really soft and went down pretty easily. Mix your drink beforehand because I saved most of the taro for the end. The taro isn't taro powder but rather mashed yam, which im usually not a fan of. Thankfully they made the ratio really well so im not drinking a bunch of mashed yam. The taro was just added texture- not the basis of the drink. My rank: 1. Molly tea 2. Chi cha San chen and BeFine Cha 3. Hey Tea

BeFine Cha 67 Bayard St. New York, NY 10013 Bamboo Oolong Kiwi Fruit Tea While the name may be unbelievably long, the taste was unbelievably refreshing. This beverage has large chunks of kiwi with a foamy top. You will definitely need a thicker straw to slurp all the goodness. The best part is chewing on the remaining fruit from the bottom of the cup. #befinecha #bamboooolong #KiwiFruitTea #chinatownnyc #chinatownlowermanhattan

Instead of going my usual place, decided to stop this place since the new teas places has just gotten better. This is in the location of what used to be Yi Feng Tea. The place is simply decorated and with a limited menu. Done most drinks were tropical, decided to order the hand pulled mochi milk tea. The cashier took my order but appears to be uninterested. She finally took my order & we decided on the hand pulled mochi milk tea. It started with soft mochi, then fresh taro, milk tea, ice and end with foam. The price was comparable with other tea places. It took a short wait and we got our drink. It was different. The mochi was soft, the taro was natural and it was good milk tea. It was good but unusual. You would have to be in the mood to have it. But probably would not come back unless there's a craving.

Kiwi fruit tea and guava lemon fruit tea

Blown away by how fresh the fruit teas are here! The guava drink is pretty unique because it has smashed guava inside. And they give you a lot of fruit! The place was pretty busy so we had to wait a bit for our drinks. But this will be my new go-to spot for bubble tea in Chinatown!

Looks like a lot of bubble tea places are popping up around Mott and Bayard Street area! This one just opened up and I was amazed at how many bubble tea places opened from last year to now. What is interesting about this one is the signature drink, Bamboo Oolong Oat-milk tea that I do not find in other tea places. I tried this drink and got it in medium because the small size was like an 8 oz cup that big! With ice it would be water downed! The medium was a pretty standard size. Got it with one third sugar and less ice and the drink came out with a nice aroma. I sipped it and could taste the bamboo! The drink did not really taste like milk tea though. I could barely taste the oat-milk! It was very subtle. The drink tasted more like a fruit tea and when I finished the drink, it was still somewhat heavy so I decided to open the lid and saw 2 orange pieces! I did not realize that they inserted those orange slices into the drink. No wonder it was so fruity! It tasted like lychee to me the entire time I had the drink. BeFine Cha is also like other tea places with the straws that they use. It's a tiny straw with 3 holes for you to take tiny sips. I think they made the straw this way so you can enjoy the drink better instead of gulping it one shot! Anyways, the interior is very green and cozy! 3 wooden chairs by the window for sitting. They got thermal bags for large orders. If you just got one drink then they give you this slim, white plastic bag with the logo on it! Bubble tea places are now coming up with nice thermal bags that are reusable! So nice!

A must-visit for refreshing and unique drinks that stand out from the crowd. Food (5/5) - The bamboo-flavored drinks are incredibly fresh, with a light, crisp taste you won't find elsewhere. Value (5/5) - Prices are fair for the quality and creativity you get. Service (5/5) - Friendly and quick

Was nearby to eat some dimsum, and randomly saw their enticing sign for a guava drink so decided to try it. So glad I did! Love when random chance brings me to a new gem. Got the guava drink (with fresh guava smashed up inside) and their milk tea and both were so refreshing and not too sweet (which is the best Asian dessert compliment ifykyk). Quick and kind service, and clean interior with a couple seats inside to enjoy ur drinks. Perfect place to take a eating break in Chinatown!

Walking Out Should Be Fine - A Hidden Gem for Tea Lovers BeFine Cha is a charming little tea spot that's definitely worth a visit. They offer a wide variety of unique teas, ranging from classic oolong milk tea to the refreshing grape jasmine tea. One of the best parts is that you can customize your drink, including the sugar level, to suit your taste. I ordered the grape jasmine tea with cheese foam--and it was such a pleasant surprise! It delivers a full grape experience that's both refreshing and bold. The combination with the cheese foam makes it a distinctive and memorable drink. I loved it!

Was here for the grand opening weekend with the bogo sale. Got the mochi milk tea which tasted like pudding. The mochi was stringy chewy which wasn't bad. The place was a small shop. There was a line for opening weekend promotion. The staffs were nice. Overall, would try this place again! Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5

Came here during their opening week and when they had the BOGO (ended 5/26)! The line was long with a 30-45 minute wait, but it was worth it for the price! We tried - the original bamboo oolong tea (it was alright, I think i should of ordered regular sugar! the taste was very light so it was kinda bland) - hand pounded mochi drink (was delicious and had different textures which was fun! we literally heard them pounding that mochi in the back lol) - original kiwi fruit tea drink (my parents loved this drink! it's a bit tart but refreshing and it was clear that we're using fresh kiwi) Since it was BOGO, it was def worth the price! I would get it again but def have to be in the mood for it!

Really good milk teas here! The most popular drink is the Bamboo Oolong Milk Tea which is not too sweet and has a good tea quality flavor. The cup design is also really cute. They are currently doing BOGO for their grand opening weekend, so it is busy right now but they have lots of workers!

one of the newer boba spots that opened in Chinatown. At first I wasn't expecting much as Chinatown has so many boba spots already but this spot incorporates bamboo in their tea & that's exactly what we got lol. We ended up getting the kiwi bamboo oolong tea and it was surprisingly very refreshing! Fresh kiwi pieces and the drink itself wasn't too sweet and just felt pretty organic overall. Small to-go spot as there's only like 2 seats available. Same location as the prior boba spot that was there (yi fang)

The cookies themselves were really solid though. Nice light crisp around the edges with a chewy center without being overly gooey or underbaked. Definitely on the thicker side too, which I liked. The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! I tried each layer on its own before mixing everything together and it was all really good. The matcha cream is the right amount of sweet and creamy and you can taste the matcha with just a hint of coffee. Since I'm a coffee fiend I added a bit more espresso when I got back to the hotel and it tasted even better while still keeping the matcha as the dominant flavor. Next time I would ask for less ice since it was freezing that morning, but on a warmer day the ice level would be perfect. Would love to come back to try their other drinks or order the einspanner again as a hot drink.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
