Sat at the chefs table and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. One of the most delicious meals I have had in a long time. Not a single complaint about any part of each course. The service was great and the chefs were very friendly. Even got a complimentary hamachi plate that they were testing out before putting in the tasting menu. The ambiance was pretty casual and slow, given is was a rainy Tuesday night. Highly recommend!

TL;DR: SO. GOOD. EAT. HERE. Ordered: - Oysters: delicious and fresh. I forget which ones but they were perfectly balanced between briny and sweet - Cabbage salad: wow this was a sleeper. The crispiness of the cabbage and the crunchiness of the toppings played so well together. - Steak and mash: Nothing spectacular but can't go wrong at all - McRib special: I loved that Beholder's take on the McRib was so heavy on onions and pickles. That said, if that's not your thing, maybe skip Gotta love a restaurant that serves nice plates but keeps you grounded with shot and a beer combos to remind you of your roots Will 100% be back to hit the tasting menu Cheers, Beholder!

Had reservations at the Chef's counter for dinner. Server was a 10/10! Recommended the Last Word cocktail since I enjoy mezcal. The winning dishes by far were the Carpaccio of Summer Squash (which was bursting with flavor from the toasted hazelnuts and lemon oil) and the delicately balanced flavors of the Ginger Tumeric Kanpachi Sashimi...Yum! Would not order the hamachi collars again and the bone marrow fries weren't anything special for $17. The Black Bass came with 2 scallops and was also not something worth ordering again, especially with a $61 price tag. The dark chocolate ice cream dessert was creamy and not too sweet, but very simple.

Came here for a birthday dinner and everything was so fresh and delicious. I really like the creativity in the dishes and how each piece of the meal comes together. Beautiful inside and we got pictures in front of their wine cellar. We had such a good time!

It's interesting to see something along the lines of fine dining on 10th street but even more impressive once you walk in. The vibe is quaint, super cool that you can see the kitchen while you're seated. Drinks were amazing, one of the best cocktail menus out there for sure. I went burger but wish I had not. The menu is fairly simple they give you only so many options but each has its own execution. Burger had a literal inch slice of cheese on it and a large amount of pickled onions on it. Different but I think it overwhelmed the burger. Fries were overcooked, not very enjoyable tbh. Overall the experience was positive so will probably be back to give them another shot and maybe not get the burger.

Have been trying to get here for a while and glad I came in. The tuna hand roll was exceptional! The fries were solid! I had the pork sirloin for dinner. It was well seasoned but the unspoken hero was the collard greens! Those were truly made with love! I was obsessed! Service was quick and kind! The decor inside is nice, we sat in a cute booth!

We stopped in here for dinner early last Friday after catching a late afternoon movie at Kan-Kan. We snagged one of the last 2 tables that weren't booked from a reservation and got our order in before the rush, so it was perfect timing! The restaurant has quite a few different sections, but we sat in the furthest left area of the restaurant that faces one of the entrances to Woodruff Place. They have a lot of fun artwork on the walls, the one right across from us I kept imagining were sisters playing mermaids together lol We each started off a with a cocktail (I got a French 75, he got a sazerac) and shared the broccolini salad. It was so fresh and flavorful! My husband felt the garlic was a little over powering, so he left most of his off, but I loved it. For mains, I ordered the KFC- Korean Fried Quail and OMG. The portion was huge- I was not expecting a whole quail, it was definitely very filling. The kimchi was sososo good, but I wish there had been more of it. I would 100% order this again if it was still on the menu when we went back, but it was so good that I would also be torn to try another amazing dish. My husband ordered the patty melt and it was juicy, tender, and came out on very fresh bread. The french fries were crispy and were nicely salted. I also got a glass of their sparkling (only one option) to drink with dinner and it was the perfect amount of bubbles and touch of sweetness. For dessert we ordered the Meyer lemon ice cream and the burnt banana w/ Parmesan and honey. The Meyer lemon was very fresh, tart and tangy. The burnt banana was on another level. I would have never thought those flavors and textures would pair so perfectly and I was so happy we opted to try that flavor over the cranberry walnut. The Parmesan was so finely grated that it melted in your mouth and added just enough savory to balance the burnt banana flavor, with the honey really bringing it all together. We also each got a pour of the Madeira Bual 1987 and overall it was just a perfect little dessert. The staff were all very friendly and were always making sure we had our waters full and empty dishes/silverware removed from the table. The bathrooms were very clean as well. Beholder turned our late afternoon movie into an upscale date night and I would definitely come back here again.

My oh my, now I know why everyone raves about this place. I came for the first time during Devour week and it was everything I dreamed of and more! I love the quirky decor and the cool layout. It's divided between 2 sections and there are endless seating options (bar, high top table, bistro table, large tables for big parties). I got 2 different cocktails and both were amazing. We did the devour menu and I got the grilled Caesar (yum), the walleye (so juicy and amazing), and the pancake ice cream (I'm a sucker for ice cream). All of it was incredible and I love that the menu changes often. I love an innovative menu and this place does it perfectly! My only negative would probably be the wait times. I stood at the check in for about 15 minutes before someone came up to greet me. The courses are timed out to where you're waiting for your next step. It's definitely a place to sit and enjoy your extended time! Great date night, special occasion, or just because! I also met John Green when I was there, so bonus points for that!

    Oysters and bone marrow fries

We had a great experience at Beholder. Ambiance was great, interesting art and nice date night vibes. Food was delicious, we ordered a sampling from each category. The bone marrow French fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. The Cesar salad was fantastic as well. The dry rub on the half chicken has the perfect level of heat and the chicken was juicy. The flat iron steak was cooked perfectly, although a tad salty, it was still really delicious. Overall great meal and we'll be back.

Do not sleep on Beholder! This is one of our favorite restaurants in Indy. We love the seasonal menus and watch instagram for their weekly specials. The kitchen is right in the center of the restaurant, so you can see the manic happening! The cocktail menu is always perfectly curated with something special for everyone. Cocktail snobs will leave happy! The servers are always knowledgeable about the menu.

Beholder has a great ambiance with solid food, but may not be worth it at the price point. The highlight of the night was the burger which was perfectly cooked and high quality. May be the best thing on the menu and is a must order. The Kohlrabi Caesar salad was a fresh interesting take on a Caesar salad but left much to be desired at the $15 price point. The chicken quarter and the cereal milk tres leche were both good, but not anything special. For how much Beholder is recommended and how nice the ambiance is, left a little disappointed and expecting more. However the burger saved the night and with a constantly rotating menu, I'm sure there will be new creative high quality dishes to check out in the future.

I am obsessed with this place. Granted, I've only been 3 times in the past 2 years but I think about it all the time. The most recent visit was at the end of May. As always, the ambiance is very "cool" feeling with different seating locations That give you a different experience. Sometimes, they have a DJ but always playing good tunes. We got to sit at the bar that overlooked the chefs cooking, which is always an automatic win for me. So cool to see them doing their thing. We went on a weekday so they were busy enough yet not slammed. we got to chat with the manager for a little while about our cocktails and wine. The wine menu is incredible. We got some cocktail with verde chile in it and we loved it. Got the oysters, papaya salad, burger and the fish. So delicious. I really want to try the pasta rags with wagyu.

Can a salad of radishes and turnips taste amazing? Yes, yes. Oh, yes.

Have dined here three times. I always fall in love with at least one of the dishes, while others are just good. The second visit we ordered a crudite plate for the table and it was stellar. That was years ago and I still think about it. I mean... it was raw veggies but the accompaniments were so yum. The latest visit was for our anniversary and the salad (again, veggies) blew me away! See my picture of this amazing brown butter radish salad. The kitchen eliminated the bread crumbs to accommodate my allergy, but it was amazing without it. The sherry vanilla ice cream.... omg... omg... just o.m.g. I wanted to buy a gallon of it and take it home to eat the next day. Why not five stars? While the menu is inventive and I feel pleasantly surprised by how much I like my food, it isn't consistently amazing. It's also salty. After each visit I retain water (I have an inner ear disease that is set off by sodium) and I can taste that some items are way too salty. Still this is one of my favorite spots. Hubs always likes the cocktails here too.

When I had first visited and found out that they do wine bingo, I knew I had to come back. My bestie and I used to love going to Wine Market & Table for wine bingo, but after they closed a few years ago we never found anyone else who did it. Solely Wine has solved that! They have a nice selection of wines available by the glass, but they also have a much larger selection of wines, separated by type, that you can buy by the bottle (you can't grab them yourself off the shelf, a staff member has to do that) to open and drink there or take home. My friends and I each started out with just a glass of wine and then ended up buying some bottles to share while playing bingo since we were staying for a few hours and it was a better price point to share bottles. It can get expensive buying by the glass. They also have some snacks/appetizers available for purchase if you get hungry. The inside has lots of different seating options: cozy arm chairs and couches, large family-dinner-style tables, and smaller tables along the windows. They also have a beautiful patio! Towards the back they also have an art gallery and additional seating, although I don't think that space is always open. The bathroom is kept very clean and the staff are helpful and attentive. Can't wait to come back for another girls night.

It's a very small kitchen where all the action happens, which is very impressive for a restaurant their size. Very knowledgeable staff and servers described all the ingredients and notes of flavor to look for in the dishes very well. Most ingredients were locally sourced and staff highlighted the importance of souring fresh local ingredients with every dish. Everyone form the hostess to the bartender and bus boy were friendly and welcoming. definitely 5* for service. The menu is a mix of several cuisines from Korean to Italian and even some French with a twist. The menu has great vegetarian options. Unfortunately the chef's tasting menu wasn't available as my reservation was made same day, but I decided to go with the two specials of the day. Dinner kicked off with a shot of Champaign on the house They like welcoming their guests that way. Water kept being refilled immediately. The staff again was very attentive. As an appetizer I went with the Scallops crudo with house made berry vinegar. The crudo was a healthy serving of scallops. Crispy raw carrots and radish provide some texture, while greens including endive provided some bitterness. This dish was a bit heavy on pepper and bitterness from the endives and could use some acidity to balance it out. Scallops were not as sweet as I was expecting. A bit more of the homemade raspberry vinagrette would have been perfect. The dark blue ring caused by the marination process would have shown more on a different color serving plate instead of a black bowl. For the main course I ordered the Beet linguini with sea bass. Interesting take on linguini Pickled rhubarb, rainbow radishes, fresh dill and a 'beet marinara' sauce reminded me of borscht. Unfortunately the linguini was overcooked and soaked up a lot of the butter and sauce. The pickled rhubarb provided a break from the heaviness of the dish but overall the dish lacked brightness. Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Seared and crusted with salt and pepper on one side, simple. Well executed but nothing special. For dessert I went with the Strawberry dacquoise which was delicious. The white chocolate bark with pink peppercorn stole the show. It should be layered inside the dessert! I wanted more of it. This dessert was not overly sweet. it was a great mix of pistachios and strawberry and fluffy cake. Gelee was a bit too dense but otherwise fantastic end to a good meal.
