After hearing about this place we made the trek to check it out, it's about a half hour from home and after trying it I would be more than willing to make the drive any day. Obviously not the case as these donuts are made to order. Ok so they have a standard menu includes a variety of chocolately, peanut buttery, and fruity donuts. They also have a specials menu, tried the Cinnabon beignet from this menu. The donuts are simply amazing. They come out piping hot, the donuts are clearly fresh, toppings are warm and gooey. It's like a homemade personal pie. Portion sizes are perfect, a little smaller than a traditional donut but packed with flavor and you don't feel like a glutton after finishing one.. or three. They also offer coffee, hot chocolate and other standard bakery/donut shop offerings. Coffee was okay I mean I was honestly just too focused on how amazing the donuts were. You wont find another place that makes these glaze flavors, and they also allow you to customize them too, with all sorts of sprinkles or toppings. The donuts are smaller, but dense and cakey, I prefer salty and sweet - the caramel bacon is an amazing choice. The donut comes out hot and fresh, and because of that the caramel glaze is perfectly melted and warm. Then they top it off with generous crumbles of bacon! Personally, one if my top 5 donut spots around the world (this bring said, I haven't been to too many other parts of the world). The best part about Beignets - she makes every donut to order. That means each donut that goes in your mouth is fresh out of the oven (donut maker?), warm, soft, and amazing. All of the different types of donuts looked phenomenal, but we decided to stick to 4 for the three of us. By far my favorite, and by recommendation of the owner, was the Cinnabon donut, which tasted like a reincarnation of the classic buns in the form of a donut. Next was the Boston - slightly different but delicious take on the standard Boston Cream with the cream on the outside and a variation on the typical chocolate icing. After that was the toffee - caramel icing with chopped toffee pieces that gave it the flavor of a rich toffee bar with the texture of fluff and clouds. Finally, the Oreo explosion was a simple vanilla icing with crushed Oreos on top. Simple recipe, but the freshness and warmth of the donut rendered it exquisite. This is an adorable little spot in the small downtown area of Denville. But this little spot packs a huge punch of flavor with some of the best Doughnuts I have had. Each one is made to order, nothing beats a fresh doughnut off the assembly line. They are small so you can try a couple without feeling to bad about yourself. They stood up well to the rich pb+chocolate and crunchy chocolate. On the other hand, the strawberry glaze was overpowered a bit by the incredible donut - which I definitely prefer that to the glaze overpowering the donut. Lemon pucker was the perfect finish to cut through the richer offerings. Coffee was great.
