Surprisingly, Bel Air wine prices are less expensive than the Rancho Cordova Costco's wine selection! Moreover, the Clos De Bois wine collection is on sale, i.e., I stocked the wine pantry for at least, six months. Yikes!!!!! Customer service has gone way way down! I'm not one that needs to be uplifted by the employee's but at least acknowledge me. Folks at the registers are the worst. They always look upset or just don't want to be there!! Could it be their management? Today I went in around 11ish to grab some chicken that was one sale. When I asked the young blonde cashier she seemed upset by my question. I told her that another customer and I were looking for the chicken but didn't see any inventory. I asked her if she knew anything about my concern. She responded, "yeah. I dont know. Maybe they didn't get the shipment." And that was it. Most of the customers were in very mature and needed assistance. The staff seemed overwhelmed and irritated. Why work in customer service if yall don't want to work with people?! With the high prices of this store they need to provide better customer service. Shoot, folks at my Dollar Store know how to provide excellent customer service. Go figure!!! read more

I (Hispanic) was standing in line at checkout, and a Caucasian male was in front of me. The cashier was having a friendly conversation with him, and as he left, she said, 'Have a nice day.' When it was my turn, not one word was said (not that I expect to be greeted, but the silence was noticeable). The bagger didn't ask which bags I wanted; he just started bagging. I had already swiped my card, and the screen showed 'waiting for cashier,' while the cashier just stood there, as if I hadn't completed my part. After a while, she finally realized she needed to do something on her end, but there was no 'sorry for the wait' or any acknowledgment. She handed me my receipt in silence. The bagger finished bagging, and I said 'thank you,' but no words were exchanged in return. Because I don't want to seem paranoid about my experience, I waited for the next person behind me (Caucasian). The cashier and bagger were friendly, chatting with her. I will not be shopping here again. Do better by treating people with kindness. read more

Get your sh*t together Bel Air. This used to be my go-to store. Every time I go into now, it is for convenience. There is always a problem with either expiring produce or lack of product. Today I went in for a few items and decided to buy sandwiches for lunch. There was no avocado. There was no multi-grain bread. (This is a grocery store, right?). So I used sourdough instead. When I got home to eat it, the sandwich was horrible. The sourdough was stale. I was severely disappointment yet again. I'm trying really hard to like this store, but there are others nearby that are much more pleasant to shop in. read more

I love this store! I work in the area and I am here pretty much daily to either get lunch or get coffee! The coffee from Pete's is always made really good and the bakery girls are so nice! The sushi here is amazing and the sushi chef has an amazing personality and actually talks to people passing by which is so rare at other stores! read more

This store uses the Raley's app for coupons and sales info. It is so confusing and difficult to use one has to wonder whether it is by design. I can't imagine seniors wading thru the morass of the app. I hope this finds its way to corporate- it is a black eye for Raley's, Bel air and Nob Hill supermarkets. read more

Had an awesome experience (my first) with eCart! I ordered last night and got a morning pick up time. Took only three minutes from the time I told them I was there to the time they loaded the groceries. They were out of four of my items and still didn't charge me a service fee (even though they usually do if your order is less than $100). Great store. The Deli and bakery people are always so friendly-and they get my latte done perfect, every time! They always bring in extra checkers if there are lines and the ecart people are especially helpful; especially Mary and Lilly-Thank you! I'm not sure management gives them enough Kudos though-as I have heard more than one employee complain. Please support your people-they are awesome! I left a lengthy, hand written review, mentioning several people specifically-I followed up with them to see if they had received recognition-and apparently they haven't. Kudos to Scott in Cameron Park for creating Concierge service at the Bel Air in Cameron Park! We've been shopping at the Bel Air Cameron Park for over 25 years and have always been happy with the service but Scott really took it up a notch a few weeks ago when it was pouring rain. After my granddaughter was a bit over a year I started taking her grocery shopping with me at Bel Air, it gave my daughter a break, bonding time for us and she really likes the cool car shopping cart. Bel Air has become the new playground when she needs an hour out of the house.The other day all 3 of us were driving home and needed to stop at the store, normally my daughter shops at the "other" grocery store but I suggested we go to the place with the Cool Cars the only problem was that it had been pouring rain and I was pretty sure the carts would be all wet. I called the store and asked if they had any paper towels or towels we could use to dry them off, Scott told me not to worry he'd take care of us. When we arrived 10 minutes later he had the cool car cart inside the store, all dried off and cozy warm. That's what I call concierge service! Thanks Scott! read more

I really like this store. It is normally clean and well staffed. A couple of months ago I saw a shopping cart being used to transport garbage and brought it to the attention of the store manager. I said this is utterly disgusting and to think people put their children and their food in the carts. He assured me they have a dedicated garbage bin to transport garbage and it would be addressed. Tonight when I entered the store I saw a large garbage bin (see pic) and thought---great. A bit later I saw an employee using a shopping cart to collect/transport garbage bags. I showed the duty manager and he assured me it was cleaned and disinfected. Sorry, one too many assurances something will happen. I hope this public posting will make them finally clean up this disgusting practice. read more

Well, our Bel Air staffing arises to the best of the Best again... I called, to thank Sarah in the bakery for her outstanding kindness and graciousness over the holiday, for creating an amazingly beautiful birthday cake with less then a days notice. she created a lovely, Beautiful, and, delicate wonder! For, an equal kind of friend, and community health care provider ..it was outstanding n delicious. While, on the phone, I inquired as to whether or not they had any jelly donuts left and they had not. But, in her fashion n expertise. She let, me know she could make up a half a dozen for me, that I could take to an early evening dinner. Sarah's , efforts of working with us to make our gatherings awesome and, going, out of her way to create and meet unexpected occasions speaks, loudly of her professionalism and caring of others needs. It's not just a job, it's who she is and how she does and did it. thank you Miss Sarah ..today when, I went to Bel Air to pick up the donuts n some groceries n Cameron was sharp n quick to remember that Sarah had placed them aside for me.. His kind and graciousness needs to be acknowledged here as well. Then, as I finished my shopping I went to the checkout to be greeted as Always by Madison. Always, and I don't use this word loosely is genuinely remarkable n Beautiful. Warm n helpful. Madison, can welcome you, with warmth and rememberence like, no one else. Abby, her support staff that packed my grocery items left me with the feeling that she was genuinely thankful she could help me. How, awesome is this? As, I was riding the electric cart out, with feelings of such appreciation for all I experienced there and always do, I spoke to the manager Scott...he was clearly aware of the great staff he works with. His remarks were so complimentary of each of these people and recognized their work as excellent as his kindness and graciousness was meant wholeheartedly. I want to say here, that, this group of people are a gift to our community and while, rains pour, streets flood and some can become overwhelmed.. Think for a moment that there is a place you can go to find wonderful in the middle of it all. We, have much to be grateful for. This answer from Bel Air is pretty weak. I realize you're not going to confront people and escort them out of the store but places like nugget have representatives right at the front door reminding people they need to wear a mask and handing them a mask if they didn't bring one. That by itself would greatly cut down on the amount of losers that come in and pretend like they're above the requirement. read more

My husband bought me a dozen red roses for our Anniversary which was on Thursday 5/3 by Saturday the roses already looked like they were a week old. The roses did not even get a chance to open like most of the roses I have got in the past. I did everything possible to keep them alive put them in a cool place, gave them sugar n change of water each day I even snipped them a inch off each day so they could take on water. Well he wont be buying roses from Bel Air again. They only look pretty the 1st day so make sure you take a pic because after that .........you can make potpourri out of them. read more

I went to this store yesterday. One of their female employees was stocking the dairy case with her mask all the way down on her neck. When I politely requested she wear her mask, she became very rude, saying, " I want to breathe". This is the second time this happened with this employee in this store. I complained to a "manager" who didn't seem that interested and seemed annoyed that I complained. Although I enjoy shopping there the other day I was really disappointed. The checker obviously had a cold or severe allergies and had a very productive runny nose that she would wipe with a tiny tissue. She did not use a hand sanitizer after each wipe. I went into Belair last night and there is a sign saying masks are REQUIRED. Then I observed at least half just strolling in with no masks. I was disappointed that there was no one at the entrance stopping folks that refuse to wear a mask. A sign is not enough and I don't feel like my safety while shopping at this store is a priority so off to Fork Lift. read more

07-24-2020 5pm-We shop here about once a week, for several years. We obviously like the store and the customer service. On several occasions we have encountered ONE employee who just appears miserable. So we just try to avoid him. Today I was at the deli-the only customer. I approached the counter and *this employee happened to be the only employee working the counter. No greeting-nothing. Finally I said *hello and asked him for 1/2 lb Black Forest ham. Again-no acknowledgement. He did not ask how (thickness) I wanted it sliced. He walked around like he could not locate it. Finally he sliced the ham, and handed it to me. No thank you-nothing. I stood there a second. He finally said *that what you wanted? I said yes, thank you, and left. I spoke to the manager advised her he made me feel like he was doing me a huge favor and has always been unpleasant. Her response*yeah-he's always like that. Really? Who would last in a position in customer service with that attitude???? Unbelievable. I get home, open the package -horrible. Little pieces of ham with large rinds. I should have checked the bag. Useful. For a short time, every visit turned up empty. We would go to this specific store in search of a common item and leave sans item. As convenient as it is, the drive to another supermarket may be a better choice. The Peet's Coffee & Tea in his Bel Air location is lacking. Numerous times, we've been there after opening and suprisingly, it was not yet opened. Whipped cream seems to always be out. That became annoying after the 4th time. So, down the hill I go to the actual Peet's. The beverages I've ordered were mostly made appropriately. The whipped cream completes the drink. read more

I've shopped at the store for years I think I'm gonna go to start using Safeway again. Going into Belair for 25 items eight of them they'll be out of you go back a week later they're still out of them he talk to the manager and I get a song and dance that shipping in the pandemic but I go over to Safeway and they have all of it the store is really gone downhill. I didn't need a lot of items and this store is easy to get in and out quickly. I needed a lot of produce. I've had pretty good experience getting produce there in the past, but the last several times it's been off. Let me just say the whole produce department was pretty much wiped out and what they did have was not worth selling. Banana were over ripe and not stocked, tomatoes were either bruised or over ripe and not stocked and the lettuce was brown (lettuce was full). I turned around and left the store. Seems like the store needs better management and ordering of product. Just my opinion. read more

Was very surprised at lack of customer service . Our checker Sean gave 0 cares ! So what as if your meats all ran together at end of belt . We stood there and watched as he never stopped the belt . Even for a minute to let baggers catch up . He never acknowledged our presents or even looked up from the register. Nope he let our meats and everything get crushed and the belt keep going ! Bel Air here in Cameron Park is very well run. I would say the produce is "almost" as good as Fork Lift/Nugget, as they tend to go for stuff, stuffed in plastic a bit more than Fork Lift but that's intuition based on a few experiences, and not data driven. You will find more choices here than in Fork Lift as they have lots of space and are a full size and full service supermarket. That matters in say spices, or the fact they have a full pharmacy and nice Peet's coffee station but no food court, except for an awkward section in the front of the store. The meat and deli are wonderful here and of course the prices are upscale shopping experience. Is it worth it? I would say yes, Bel Air is worth it, and clerks are always fun here. The bakery never works for me here I usually go for Nugget or another store to get good bakery goods. I guess Bel Air could do something better in terms of creating a food court, or other attractions inside. If they did that they might just be more fun to visit then just "for food". It's just a bit old school to simply be a good supermarket. People want an experience, that they are not. read more

The meat department always looks so fresh and clean. Ryan is very knowledgeable and so kind. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have you ever seen them decorate a cake everything comes out of a bucket! Nothing is fresh. I doubt theres even butter in that buttercream lol. I watched one day for a while it was gross. Not to mention all the prepackaged frozen baked goods they take out of their freezer. Your better off going to costco where they make everything from scratch! But on the other hand what do you expect from a grocery store, they aren't a bakery. More seasoned professionals work at ettores, Freeport, Rick's dessert Diner, places like that so I guess it makes sense nothing is from scratch. read more

I was sent on a mission to get my wife some fried chicken so I sought out different options in the Cameron Park area. I settled on the Bel Air deli. I called them on my way there to verify if they would have fresh made fried chicken. Chauntisa (I hope that is how you spell it) answered the phone and was pleasant from the start. She said she had chicken in the fryer that would be ready in 10 minutes which was how long I had to drive to get there. I arrived and was greeted by her and she was extremely pleasant. She let me try several sides then I asked her how fresh the french fries were. She told me they did not look terribly fresh then asked me if I wanted her to make put some new ones in the fryer so I would have fresh, hot fries. I told her absolutely and five minutes later I had freshly Fried chicken and crispy, hot french fries. Again, her attitude was great and a a few notches above the norm. I went up and met with the person in charge (The store director was not available) and told him about my wonderful experience. He said that he was going to go over and tell her how well she did and also give her a free meal because of The experience I had with her high level of service. I thought this trip overall was great. Chauntisa did an amazing job and I thought the person in charge handled the situation extremely well. I will definitely be going back for more.
