Terrible job!....my technician was polite when she was off her phone. The pedicure process was mostly ok, at least that's what I thought until I left and realized it was a mess!.....I didn't micro manage the tech because I thought that she knew what she was doing, so when I got to my truck and I took a good look at my toes, I was shocked and disgusted at the awful job she did. Some of my toes still had a lot of dead skin, the nail polish on was so sloppy, the nails were not filled properly, and the thickness of the acrylic was insane. I went to Bel Mondo for a Mani-Pedi and they were amazing!! The only bummer with them is it's really hard to actually get an appointment. They cancelled my appointment last minute twice and then had to reschedule my 3rd attempt at an appointment. The guy on the phone said that I needed to come in earlier or they would have to cancel again. I asked if they took walk-ins and he said that they only take 1 Groupon customer a day and a walk in wait is typically around 2 hours. After the frustration of making the appointment, going in was actually very nice! Everyone there is so so sweet and welcoming. Vanessa did my mani and Griselda did my pedi which were AMAZING!! So relaxing and they were super sweet and talked with me! They were so attentive and made me feel valued. They took their time and made sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend them and will request having them for all of my future appointments! I can't say enough good things about my girls, Maria and Sandra! Maria is my nail technician and she does outstanding work! She's extremely talented with her nail art. Every single time, no exaggeration, I get comments from total strangers on how amazing my nails look. She is a perfectionist and always makes my nails look exactly how I want them. And to top it off, she's a super sweet girl. Sandra does my pedicures and my hair. She has amazing hands and gives the best foot massages. I always come away from my pedicure feeling so relaxed! Ok read the whole thing.... I gave this place a try because I've been searching for a new Nails salon to call Home since I've moved here in August! I found a groupon for them & called to make an appointment. Turns out they only take 2 Groupon appointments a day... I called on a Monday and they didn't have any appointments until the next week. I asked that if anything's opens before that for them to please call me back, the lady I spoke with on the phone was so sweet! She actually called me back and someone had cancelled on the day I wanted to go so she gave me the appointment! Which was awesome!! Then I got there, picked my color, relaxed in the spa chair with the massage on, everything was great! The ladies that did my nails were super nice, I started thinking I found my new nail place! .... fast forward 4 days later with my gel Manicure... they are chipping, and the polish is lifting off my nails :( I am so bummed! They should last 2 weeks! I would honestly be happy with even a week and a half! But 4 days!! That and my toes smudged cause they took FOREVERRRR to dry... too many coats of paint too fast... :/ Anyway... they have a pretty cool rewards system for returning customers... however I'm sorry to say that won't be me.. I had a groupon and made an appointment 2 days after I called. I was the first one in with my little girl, got sat down right away. One lady took care of my daughter mani/pedi and Eileen did my Gel manicure and Kiki's did my Awesome pedicure. I'm from AZ & I'm not sure if it's custom here that two people work on your needs at the same time to get you in and out, but I definitely don't like that! A nail spa is supposed to feel relaxing, not rushed. Overall the results were good. However my gel is slightly lifting toward the cuticle on a few nails and I believe it has to do with the oil that was put on just before they started the gel, so if you get gel I would suggest they not use oil first because it almost created a bubble, but it's not horrible. A half leg wax, in the industry covers just above the knee and they also get the top of the foot and toes. Bel Mondo Salon stops below the knee and does not get the little hairs on the feet. After I left I was super disappointed. I felt rushed and didn't want to say anything about the toes because I figured no big deal. But after I got home I noticed they didn't get the knee. That really ticked me off. Now I have to schedule an appt at a different place to finish up. I have been getting waxed for 30 yrs, so I know about waxing. Very poor customer service. My friend and I purchased a Groupon and she made an appointment for us a month in advance. They call us the day of and ask if we can move back our appointment. We agreed. That's fine. But we get there and the guy tells us that they only had one person on the schedule, not both of us. And that they only take 2 Groupons a day, so they couldn't take us. I mentioned that we live out of town and that we wouldn't be able to come back another day, so he said he could maybe get one in now and one in later. Um no, the whole point was to go at the same time, plus we cannot go later. I just think it's a little ridiculous that he couldn't figure something out since it clearly wasn't our fault that THEY didn't schedule the two of us. We ended up walking out. The ladies are down to earth and good at what they do.... but the owner is cheap and rude and treats the ladies like slaves. He will double book appointments so be prepared to wait. I had to be rushed to the hospital after a toxic exposure to hair dye sitting too long on my head. At first I thought I had an allergic reaction, despite never being allergic to hair dye. The product was on my head for 2 hours since the boss wanted the ladies to dye and highlight at the same time to be more efficient!! I am still not feeling well and have to take steroids for a week so I don't become anaphilact again. Also, be prepared to sweat. He won't turn the air conditioner on.... which is why at first I wondered if I had heat exhaustion. A pampering business should not be run like a sweat shop. read more

I got a regular manicure with Griselda, and I would not go back to her nor would I recommend her for any one else. I left with the sloppiest manicure... my color was a sheer pink, it was uneven and missing spots close to the edge. GROUPON USERS BEWARE: $30 for a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure on Groupon is a steal, but bad customer service isn't worth the time and money. ESPECIALLY driving from San Diego to meet up with some girlfriends to have some girl time. My friend got us our appointments WITH confirmation emails saying our appointment was set. If you have a big tank then you can just imagine the amount of gas that was used to drive from SD to Temec. Just to get there and to be told that they didn't have our appointments and they were all booked for the day. That we booked with the people who USED to own the place... The manager/receptionist wasn't even willing to work with us, even after I told him that it was a drive out there for no reason. Nothing was really done and it was just a couple of workers standing near to get an ear of the drama then just walk away. He did proceed to tell us that we can schedule for another day which we decided to do until he was about to pencil the 3 of us in for a later date and said it was fine but then changed his mind rather fast and say he could only take one of us instead because they would be low on workers. At that point we just left because we just felt there was no give and we just didn't really matter. It wasn't until reading further and finding out that they only take one Groupon per day or just a few. So I believe what happened was, that they took our appointments and once they found out they were groupons, they canceled on us. Which makes sense now that he was about to take the 3 of us down for another date then changed it to one person only. None of this would have matter had this been brought to our attention beforehand but it wasn't. Even worse when we read that other people have said that the owners say Groupons are a waste of their time. Its also pretty clear after reading SEVERAL reviews and from personal experience, once they find out you have a Groupon they treat you differently in a heartbeat. It's a simple mistake that needs a simple fix. Really, it's not that hard. Either you just make it well known where the Groupon customers stand when prioritizing clients along with rules and regulations or just don't accommodate Groupon period. Also, if you're going to do a customer wrong, make it right. That will get you 5 stars everytime. read more

This is the second time going back because I thought Tanya would fix my hair up nice, but she did the total OPPOSITE! I had super long hair past my lower back. I told her what I wanted I cut under my breast and she cuts my hair to above my breast. I am super pissed off. I would never ever go back. First off management was extremely unprofessional telling both my mother and I that it was our faults they needed to reschedule our appointments and that it was our fault THEIR online​ booking appointment system does not give you the option to make an appointment specifically for the Groupon​ they offer. This company put out a Groupon where you can purchase both a gel mani and gel pedi. Both my mother and I purchased the Groupon and were going to get our nails done for my mothers Birthday. We scheduled our appointments​ online 5 DAYS IN ADVANCE (booked appointments on a Monday and scheduled it for Friday) using THEIR website link they ​provided on Groupon and specifically wrote in the comment section on both of our appointment bookings, that we had purchased the Groupon and that we would like to be seen together. We got confirmation emails and reminder​ emails of our appointments and everything. We get a call from one of the staff 2 HOURS BEFORE OUR APPOINTMENTS (meaning 4 days had gone by since we booked) saying they can no longer take us and that we will have to reschedule. Since my mother and I planned our whole day around this appointment we called them back to tell them that we would not reschedule and that they needed to honor the​ appointments that we booked in advance. THE MANAGER then proceeded to tell us they were not responsible for this mistake and that it was our faults that we didn't book the correct package online, yet there is no package for the Groupon​ deal on their website. When we told her that we wrote in the comment section of both of our bookings that we had purchased their Groupon for the gel mani and pedi, she again proceeded to tell us that it was our mistake​ that we didn't book the correct package and therefore we couldn't be seen. She even told us that they booked full appointments for the day and wouldn't honor our services​ and told us our only option would be to have to choose only one service (mani or pedi) and would have to schedule ANOTHER appointment to come back and finish. Our appointment​ was booked DAYS in advance and they didn't have time to check our appointment until a couple of​ hours before we were supposed to come in??? Unfortunately, if you dig through the reviews on Groupon (They put all the 5 star reviews first) it is made very clear that the staff treats​ the people who buy Groupons very differently than their regular customers and that apparently it is very common for them to continually push Groupon appointments back days and split the services up making customers have to come back. Extremely unprofessional, we returned our Groupons and got our money back, and I would NOT recommend this place at all. read more

I did not have a good experience. From the moment I walked into this empty place and realized it was actually a nail shop with a couple of booths for doing hair, I felt uncomfortable. Hairdressers are NOT independent and cannot make any choices on their own. My stylist put me in a shampooing cape which is like a giant plastic tablecloth that is not breathable. Within 10 minutes I was drenched in sweat. I should mention that the air conditioner was not on - they only had the front door open. I expressed my concern when the stylist began my haircut in dry hair since I came in with ponytails which left my hair lumpy, but she said it did not need to be washed or even spritzed first. She assured me she brushed it thoroughly and it did not need to be wet. She told me she would cut my hair to mid back touching between my shoulder blades. So, she took all my hair into her fist like a ponytail and chopped it off. The problem is the left side of my hair was now shorter than shoulder length. I got a groupon for this place and after reading reviews that they had issues using it, I expected to have issues as well. However the man on the phone scheduled me my appointment. Although my groupon expired, it was still good for the cash value and when I came in, the man very kindly upgraded me for a package that was $4 more than my cash value. I brought my 3 year old son and they seated me where I could keep an eye on him, and even offered me water. This is definitely a high end spot and I felt very well taken care of. I waited a while after my experience with them to post this so I wouldn't write anything too harsh but there's just no going about it, they're unethical and just after your money... I made an appointment for a friend and I to get our hair done. She wanted a hair cut and style for a wedding and I figured I could use a cut too. I found a groupon (cut and style for $35) so I called to make sure they had 2 appointments available at the same time before I bought the Groupon because we had a wedding to get to and we were coming from Anaheim. The man that answered (I'm assuming the owner) sounded a little hesitant to say yes and put me on hold. He came back said "yeah we can do 2 people." It sounded off to me but went along with it anyway. We get there at noon on a Saturday and the lady who has the chair right at the entrance (Tanya) said she'd be doing both our hair. I said no because we needed to be done by 2 and I specifically asked for that when I made the appointments. She says "oh ok, someone else will do your hair, she'll be ready for you in 15 mins." 20 mins go by and nobody is there. I ask and a few mins later someone gets me. She sits me down and quotes me $50. I told her the guy at the front said he'd offer the groupon price of $35 without the groupon. She's arguing with me and I say fine, I don't need a cut, just do some nice curls for the wedding. $40! How does that even make sense?! My friend is getting cut and style for $35 while I'm getting charged more for less! At this point it's about 12:30 and I tell my friend I'm gonna go somewhere else. Tanya and the man are telling me to stay and that Tanya can do my hair too: it won't take long. I didn't wanna make a big deal of it and my friend said we'd be fine so I stayed. I'm waiting and at 12:50 Tanya says she won't have time to do my hair. WTF?! They wasted so much of my time!! I left without a word. I came in for a gel mani and a pedi. I called ahead of time and made an appt for 3:30. The lady on the phone that took my appt down was extremely friendly and I understood her (not being racist but I'm sure you get what I'm saying). I walked in, they welcomed me and knew my name. I picked out my toe color and they have a ton of colors and almost are were O.P.I. the gel selection they have is huge too. I picked my colors and was immediately seated and pampered. Jessica and Erica are absolutely amazing!!! They did an excellent job, they were super friendly and nice and honestly made my overall experience a great experience. I am not saying this to be rude but it is very nice and comfortable to go to a very nice salon that the girls speak English and they are not your typical Asian shop...sorry!!! This a nice higher end yet affordable establishment that offers hair cuts and colors, facials, eyelash extensions, waxing and nails under one roof in a very nice and professional atmosphere. Id hate to say... But I gave this place a low rating because of the service and the amount of time it took. My husband bought me the groupon to get my nails done before the weekend plans and I nearly was sitting in the salon for almost three hours ( not even exaggerating ). Which pushed back a lot of plans I had for the day. Usually you get your nails and pedi almost done at the same time and no, the pedicure was done way before the manicure and I had to wait a little for my manicure to even get started. I had a Persian woman, that was giving me my manicure and asked "why are hands so rough" and I told her " oh, because I go to the gym a lot and I lift heavy sometimes without gloves" . Then she says " oh . You look like man. You see your shoulders" . Of course I was annoyed of this woman, insulting me that I had manly shoulders. She then put toner on my hair to try to fix the color and while I was siting there the owner yelled across the salon that I was a Groupon customer and the lady doing my hair was taking too long.
