Belfast Station's fish fry is my favorite. Their Fridays fish fry is consistently good. And my husband and friends agree. The clam chowder is creamy and flavorful, while the whitefish (baked) is light and tasty. We prefer it panfried. The atmosphere is friendly, and can get very busy on a Friday night. The servers are nice and attentive; even when it's busy, which I appreciate. Tip: Arrive early. Whitefish is a favorite and they sometimes run out by 6pm. read more

If you're looking for an Irish pub, this is a great one to visit. I've been many times both eaten and carry out. Their food is what you would expect at an Irish pub (burgers, Rubens, and even pizza). Go here more for drinks than food. The inside has been remodeled when Belfast owners took over. It's 10x nicer than it was previously. Burgers are ok but can't beat the price on Tuesdays for $2. Nice specials all week. Definitely geared towards a bar crowd rather than sit down restaurant. Bathrooms and bar are always clean. Today six of us friends had lunch on the outside patio. Unfortunately, all of the umbrellas were broken, but we moved two tables into the shady area, so it was not overpoweringly hot. The bar is fully stocked and if you eat outside, your drinks will be in plastic cups. The menu is good. We all had burgers and salad and each one of us was satisfied with the portions and the taste. I had a single burger and it was plenty of food for me. Everyone else had a double burger and they also felt it was good serving size some even more than they wanted for a late Lunch. And the most popular dish on our table was the green bean appetizers. They are pretty addicting and worth your trying. The pricing is reasonable. Atmosphere wise, it's just a pub. But you can feel comfortable here. They also have a large indoor dining area that has an open wall to the outside on nice days. That's a great place for a shady outside meal. The parking is directly behind the restaurant and so it's convenient. I would imagine it might fill up however there are plenty of parking spaces in the neighborhood that you could use too. I tend to appreciate restaurants more because of the conversation and company I am having. Today was no exception. The food was fine and worth what we paid for it. Families, couples, friends, anyone can enjoy this place. I used to work in Sussex, so I drove past Belfast Station often when I had to go to Menomonee Falls for something after work. My family and I finally stopped to try their breakfast after purchasing a discount coupon. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage gravy on the side instead of on top, my wife and youngest kid shared pancakes, and my oldest kid got the bacon and egg sandwich with potatoes. We also ordered bone-in wings with cajun rub since we were told we could do that as well during breakfast hours. All around the meal was meh. The pancakes were dry and slightly overcooked, the eggs in my burrito were burned, the wings were on the dry side and didn't have much heat in the rub. Only my oldest kid thought his bacon and egg sandwich was worth the visit. There's things I want to try on the dinner menu, but I'm hesitant to go back given how this experience went when we were one of only two tables that even had diners. read more

Hated the ordering system. We sat at a dirty table and ordered from our phone, food and drinks. They brought the appetizer out with our sandwiches. The guy apologized saying that's just how the food came out. The food was good it just seemed impersonal. Had to go to the bar to ask for things like to go boxes and glasses of water. My fav burger and Bloody Mary place closed up. So went to Belfast Station . Went at 4:00 . One waitress and we were the on,y diners there . and she didn't shut up the whole time we were there . I take that back . There was maybe 5 minutes to ourselves . I was waiting for her to bring what we ordered to the kitchen , but they don't do that any longer . It goes into a system where it goes straight to the kitchen . That!s pretty cool as most places does this now . So she finally walks away and out comes our order . From the greeting, to the great drinks to the fantastic band Vinyl Road - my husband's birthday party Saturday was a HUGE success!!!! Everyone loved the apps and the pizzas - the manager, Rebecca, was a big help in getting me information and helping make sure the staff understood a few details. We all had the best time. First trip to Belfast Station, last spring, was not like the reviews I had read. The service was prompt, friendly and welcoming. The burgers were prepared as ordered, fries were perfect and it was an all-around enjoyable experience. Fast forward to October: not busy at all. The bartender offered beverages and menus, and told us about the soups of the day. We waited for her to return. And we waited and waited. Did I mention that we waited a long time? Finally, I got up and tracked her down. She was around the corner of the bar, sitting and chatting with a friend. I approached her and asked if we could order food. She got up and obliged. We were so thrilled to find this gem of a place to stop by on our bike ride today. The wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a couple of beers, the wonton mozzarella sticks and pizza. Our appetizer came out quickly and so did our pizza. Great atmosphere. Love the look of everything since the renovation. Two big drawbacks-I'm not a fan of the new ordering system using the QR code. it seems to be a justification for mediocre service. No one brings water to your table, you need to be on your phone the entire time just to order or you have to go to the bar for everything-not a welcoming or relaxing experience. Also the music is fun and eclectic but you literally have to scream over it to have a conversation. I would give the food 4 stars because it's really decent bar food, but the atmosphere gets 3. read more

Loved going there before, sorry to say we will not be back. It is pretty but the acoustics are now horrible. It was incredibly noisy. The new QR code ordering system is a pain. We watched a guy walk to every table to ask if what he had was their food. When I go out I do not want to have to look at your menu on my phone (wouldn't even do that during covid) then go to the bar and place your order. Then have a guy walk around trying to figure out where it goes. Then if you need anything else you need to go to bar. I go out to be served. Also food was not as good as it used to be. Horrible service. I placed a " to go " food order via a phone call earlier for 2:00 Sunday after but arrived at 1:30. I thought I could have a couple beverages watching the Brewer game while waiting for my food order. I sat at the opening of the bar which is the brightest and most visible seat there. After waiting for the 3 staff members for more than 12 minutes...the only employee who was busy asked Jefferson who not only walked by me about 5 minutes earlier to get behind the bar but you would of thought Jefferson would of noticed no coaster or napkin in front of me signaling Nobody waited on me to finally wait on me. Prior I noticed a couple standing in the front middle of the bar also waiting for any attention. They finally decided to grab a table ( probably tired of just standing there without being acknowledged). The table they chose was upfront, well lit, and very close to bar. When Jefferson finally acknowledged me it was way to late and I said NO, I'm outta here. And by the way...cancel my food order that is scheduled for 2:00. What a disappointment !!! As I was pulling out of the parking lot I noticed the other couple walking out empty handed. I asked if the owner was available and Jefferson stated the owner was on vacation. As I was driving I called Belfast Station from my cell and asked when the owner will be back from vacation. We'll I tried to ask as Jefferson rudely talked over me while I was talking. I'm so thankful we have so many places too choose from around Sussex and the Falls where we can receive much better service. Eliminating Belfast Station does not hurt then. Why places spend sooo much money on advertising to slap you in the face when you are there I'll never understand. read more

I had dinner with my friend on the outdoor patio last night. It was a pleasant evening, drinks were great, the staff was superb, the fish was delicious. I love French fries and I even asked Jenna which kind she likes so I got the curly fries. They were cold and didn't seem freshly cooked. I have been here before and never had a bad experience.
