My roof was 19 years old, and I needed a full roof replacement. After watching the TV News channel on the terrible workmanship happening in ATL. I was worried about who would do the job and would they stand behind their work. I searched on website and the BBB as well. I read reviews, and viewed some pictures on different company's websites. As for Bell Roofing, Michael arrived at my home to give me a quote. I also received a very informative folder, with the type of materials, and the sequence of assembly on the roof. I was able to go through that folder and pick the type of shingles and the color. The quote from Michael arrive via e-mail, very simple to understand with the choices available and discounts currently available. I was ready to go forward with the job, Darius called, and notice I had not selected the Trim color, good catch. Also explain the process very well. From the dumpster arriving and the materials arriving prior to the scheduled job. Well the materials arrived on Monday and placed the pallets on driveway. The small dumpster also, arrived as discussed and they placed lumber under the rollers to protect the driveway- no damage at all. The weather acted up, so the job was delayed one day. The next day, Wednesday was sunny and the crew arrived, rang my doorbell, as I was parked in front of the materials. The crew was organized and answered a few questions. They completed the job in one day. They used a leave blower on the roof top for a super clean roof surface, and placed tarps on my bushes and back patio to collect the old materials. The left my yard really clean, no nails, even used the leave blower on my driveway. A great clean up by the crew. A few days later, after a Rainy day, a Bell representative arrived to inspect the Roof and not from the ground. He climbed up on the roof to verify the work. I knew there was quite a lot of wood-rot damage on my roof, which would increase the cost once the old roof was stripped and the full extent known. Bell's owner, Ricardo Sandoval, came out himself to examine the roof and give me the estimate of the additional cost. The important point here is that there were absolutely NO SURPRISES in regards to the work the roof needed and the cost. Not only was I kept well informed every step of the way, but I joined Ricardo on the roof where he carefully explained everything. Ricardo came by during each of the two days the job took to check on it's progress and keep me informed. I went up on the roof with Ricardo again. He explained some of the new methods and techniques--the ridge vent, drip edge, starter shingles, and the way "valleys" were sealed-- that had come into being since the previous roof had been installed. I found the whole Bell team to be impressive. Mr. Sandoval has obviously instilled in his hard-working crew his own great pride in a quality product and a job well done. Just got a brand new roof installed and the entire process from the quote to the cleanup was smooth sailing. I got a few quotes from various companies but decided to go with Bell Roofing because they were really honest and very knowledgeable. I initially wanted to have the gutters included in the estimate but was told that our current gutters are still in excellent shape. It's hard to come by a company that would be so honest! During the quote they also asked if we had any issues with leaking because they saw a troubled area that showed possible signs of leaking. And sure enough they were spot on, we had a little water damage in our attic which is why we were in the market for roofing in the first place. They discovered this without me mentioning it (none of the other companies I received quotes from said a word about it) that's what truly sealed the deal for me. They truly care about their customers and quality of work. On install day the crew arrived on time and literally worked from sun up to sun down. And the office also kept in touch with me via email throughout the entire process so I was aware of the current wood count replacement. The following morning I found a few nails in the driveway (mostly left from the dumpster that was hauled away) so I called the office and they were out within an hour to do a final sweep ensuring all the nails were gone. Talk about customer service! I definitely feel good about entrusting Bell Roofing with my roofing needs. Here is my story..... Mr. Bell came to my house to give me an estimate for gutter guard repair and minor roof problems. I promptly accepted the estimate and the work was scheduled. The price was a little high however I'm not concerned with price as long as I get quality work. When the repair man came to install the gutter guards I asked twice if I needed to clean out the gutters prior to install....the gentlemen said oh no...that part of our job. The gutter guards screw into the gutter thus once installed they're impossible to remove the gutter guards unless you unsrew them. Well it starts to rain and rain and I have water going everywhere...I call on a Sunday and left a message regarding the problem. In the mean time I took apart the gutters myself...a two hour job and cleaned out the gutters myself. Spent over 2,000 dollars on gutter guards only to have to resolve the problem myself. The office called me on Sunday evening and then again on Monday morning...I explained my concerns and the receptionist was awesome and applogized and indicated that Mr. Bell would call me asap..I restated that I didn't want any discount and that I merely wanted to voice my disappoint in that I had to spend 2,000 to fix my gutters myself....Fast forward ....Mr. Bell I guess doesn't believe in customer service...no return call....I'm still waiting over a week an half has pasted. From start to finish, working with Bell Roofing was a treat! When we reached out, due to an active leak and a need to replace our very old 3tab shingle roof, they quickly sent Alex out to do an inspection of our roof. Within a day or so, Alex and Tracey followed up with a very reasonable quote. What's more...we needed some carpentry done (some fascia and rafter replacement on one side of our house), so I asked Tracey if we needed to do that first. She reached out to the owner immediately and decided we could get that done on the same day. After sending us a quote for that, Tracey diligently worked with us to find the perfect shingle color (since we wanted to try a totally different color, a lighter color to give our roof more pizzazz). Alex even dropped up some sample shingles so that we could be absolutely sure. Despite the rainy weather, Ashley found us a dry day to get the replacement done (thank goodness because we were tired of water leaking into our ceiling!). When I tell you the Bell Roofing Team (Alex, Tracey, and Ashley) was absolutely amazing to work with through this daunting process, I'm not kidding! They were affordable, understanding, flexible, communicative, and very professional at every step of the process. I run some 1967 apartment properties outside of East Atlanta, and we've had a slew of financial challenges in the past few years (City of Atlanta Water & Sewerage overcharged us by $50k, resident started a grease fire that burned down a building, and I could go on). We also have aging roofs that were in very bad shape, but we didn't have the budget to replace them at this time. At the very least, I knew we needed a lot of repairs. I checked out and got estimates from various roofers and ended up going with Bell to help us out. They have been fantastic. Ricardo and Michael very thoroughly checked out 18 buildings, took pictures and estimated the remaining life span of the roof on each building, and then worked out a plan to do repairs that will tide us for another 4-6 years while we get our finances back in order. We also had them install gutters on 7 buildings to stop water from pouring down into the doorways. The gutters look fantastic and are doing their job well so far. From the estimate, to scheduling, to doing the repairs and cleaning up, we've had a great experience with Bell. They were courteous to our residents and employees, and they did a fantastic job of keeping us in the loop with their progress. I'm planning to use them to maintain our roofs from here on out. Bell Roofing was recommended by our son, whose roof was replaced by them several months earlier. We went with Bell, and our experience with them was outstanding! Following our initial phone call, Thomas, Bell's representative, arrived right on time, inspected and measured the roof, and within 24 hrs. provided us with a reasonable estimate. (While at our home, he wore a protective face mask and respected social distancing.) The selection of available styles and colors was huge. We indicated our preferences, and Thomas brought out samples of shingles and gave us valuable guidance on what he felt would look best. At our convenience, work began right on schedule under Justin's supervision, and was completed in a single day. Cleanup following the roof's installation was so thorough it was as if no one had been there. On the next business day, Jason, Bell's inspector, came out day to examine the work and attested there were no defects. Besides the excellent workmanship, we were especially impressed by Bell's professionalism and courtesy. My initial impression of Bell Roofing was very good. I called for an estimate they responded immediately. Thomas came out to provide an estimate but didn't actually give me a quote because he said the issue was more a "flashing" problem. He said another Bell associate would call me back but no one ever did. Two weeks later I called Thomas again after discovering the problem was not due to "flashing" but a hole in the roof. This time he said he would have someone get back to me urgently because water was leaking in my house. When I heard nothing by the close of business, I left a text message (@7:20pm) to let him know. I didn't expect him to respond immediately (the office was closed) but rather at his convenience (just like one would expect after leaving someone a message on an answering machine). I did hope to hear something by the next day. Thomas immediately texted me back a curt reply expressing irritation I texted him after hours and educating me, somewhat dismissively, that Bell Roofing was very busy. I was taken aback. This struck me as inappropriate and unprofessional. I thanked him, apologized for the intrusion but decided to share the experience in hopes future customers would know what to expect. read more

My wife and I contacted Bell Roofing in early Jan. , they were out the next day. Michael went around the house with me looking at the roof and wood work , etc. and reviewed our options and answered our questions. We got a reasonable quote the next day. As our roof was 22 years old and had some problems we were considering a new roof . We also had some wood damage due to age and numerous trees around home , both hickey and sweet Gum. When we called to finalize plans , Michael was available the next day and we were able to select materials and plan work. Carpentry work was started on the first warm day and completed in 1 1/2 days which was the estimate. Workers were excellent. Roof was started soon after , working between weather problems and was completed in less then a day , as planned . Area was cleaned up and work was done as planned . Workers were good at their jobs and were able to communicate what they were doing and followed the which original plans. No problems. We were happy since we needed the roof quickly due to leaks and they worked with us and around the weather to get in done correctly and quickly. I selected Bell because my neighbor had used them - and they did an impeccable job. Happily, my experience mirrored my neighbor's. The person from Bell who provided my estimate (William) was prompt and professional, beating another major roofer's price by 10% on an apples-to-apples estimate (using the exact same shingles). Further, Bell made the scheduling easy and was able to get to the job with only a one-week wait time. Plus, the crew that did the work was experienced and efficient. And they cleaned up spotlessly. Moreover, the office-based project manager (Daris) was accessible and informative throughout the project. I will definitely use Bell again. FWIW - I would offer one caveat: Like all roofers, Bell warns you ahead of time that they may run into rotted decking (the wood under the shingles) when they remove the old roofing. Further, they warn you that there are additional costs to replace that wood, which are based on a pre-set per-foot rate. Indeed, Bell did have to replace quite a bit of rotted decking in my 90-year old house ... so I would recommend you budget for that if your house is on the older side; I'd set aside about 10% of the total estimated cost . read more

After meeting with at least 6 companies to replace my improperly installed roof on a house I had just bought a year prior (3 layers of roofing, not attached properly, missing & too short fascia & insurance had cancelled), I chose Bell Roofing based on great reviews, warranty, a great presentation of a timely estimate, & knowledge of the estimator, Todd. Bell Roofing gave me outstanding customer service & installed a roof with architectural shingles, fascia around my whole house, some of the soffits & replaced my gutters & downspouts. From Todd the estimator, Bonnie & Jen in the office, & the entire crew...everyone was professional & very communicative. The price was fair, they were knowledgeable at every turn & they stand behind their work with a great warranty. I recently had my roof replaced by Bell Roofing, and while the final result looks great, my overall experience left me frustrated. The biggest issue? A massive discrepancy between the initial estimate and the final cost. The estimate came in at $11,323, but the final bill was $15,502--a 37% increase. I understand that some unforeseen repairs may arise once the old shingles are removed, but a difference of over $4,000 is excessive. This suggests that the initial inspection was either poorly conducted or intentionally lowballed to secure the job. Transparency in pricing is critical for homeowners, and I felt blindsided by the unexpected costs. To their credit, the crew did a solid job on the roof itself, and the communication was decent. However, if you're considering Bell Roofing, be prepared for a potentially much higher final bill than what you're quoted. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing. Would I use them again? Probably not. The work was good, but I can't trust an estimate that misses the mark by such a huge margin. read more

After receiving 4-5 quotes, I used Bell Roofing to replace my roof due to hail damage. Thomas Miller was the claims specialist who worked with me initially during the estimate, color selection process. Thomas explained all the options adequately and followed through on his conversations. Subsequently, Ashley from their main office coordinated the day and provided written and verbal instructions on what to expect. They switched the initially scheduled day at my request without any issues. Ashley was very detailed. Ashley also worked directly with my Insurance adjuster to provide them the necessary paperwork required to release the final payment. The roofing team did a very nice job, and worked tirelessly for 1.5 days to complete the roof, and clean up afterwards. There were some nails that came down from the gutters after it rained, but that was an easy cleanup. We had a leak in the roof, some major issues with a drip edge, and a porch roof that leaked where the porch joined the house. We tried to get a quote from Findlay Roofing (the Roof Roof people), but after the guy came out, took a look, and told us that he would get us a quote by Monday (he came out on Friday), we never heard from them again, even after we called twice. Bell sent Matt out. He gave us the estimate, we negotiated a bit, and then he came out and did the job. It took longer than originally thought, due to the blazing heat and to a lot more bad wood than expected (all fixed at a very reasonable cost), but Matt kept working diligently and we never felt like he was ignoring the job. After it was done, some of the edge and porch leaks were still there; Matt came right back out and made some more adjustments. We've been very pleased. It feels like the job got done well, in a timely manner, and by pleasant people to work with. read more

After putting it off for some time, it became necessary to put a new roof on my home near Lakeside High School. I had three companies come out and give estimates. I also sought feedback from from a neighborhood message board. Bell and one of their competitors had positive feedback on the message board. All three companies came out for the estimate almost immediately, all three within 3 days of requesting. The most expensive company had a somewhat high pressure sales technique, so they were out from the get go. Bell and the other competitor with positive feedback had no pressure on the sales point, which I greatly appreciated. Bell's pricing was the best and their salesperson was knowledgeable and honest. From the time when I signed the contract and returned it, Bell was out very quickly to start the job. They arrived on time and did an excellent job from start to finish. Bell Roofing just installed my new roof yesterday and I could not be more pleased. Not only does the roof look great, but Bell Roofing's customer service is top notch. They came to my house while it was still under contract and gave us a quote that we could use during negotiations. They also did a follow up visit and proposal for us once it was time for us to get the new roof. We were originally scheduled to get our roof on July 6th, but they moved our installation up as soon as they had availability. The roof looks wonderful and my yard was completely clean with no debris left over. I will also say that the crew was incredibly nice and respectful of my property. The installation went longer than expected due to some fascia needing to be replaced, however the crew kept me up to date on when they would be finished and they did a fabulous job. They were prompt to f/u with types of roofing shingles and color schemes and addressed all my questions. The instructions on what to do to be prepared the day of install were straight forward and concise. The staff kept me informed about the time arrival for dumpster placement. The crew arrived on time and were quick to get started the day of install. I was pleased with the fact that Bell Roofing was able to install my roof on Saturday after weather conditions would not allow a Friday installation. The owner of the company communicated with me regarding the status of the installation on that Saturday. The crew did a good job with respect to the installation and clean up. After the work was completed, the owner was kind enough to email me with an update. The very next day it rained. Although I experienced leaking which was heavier in the chimney area than before the installation of the new roof, I am in communication with Bell Roofing at this very moment. My hope is that I will hear from them shortly about their carpentry technicians being able to set a date to quickly repair the leak and conduct a water test to ensure that the repair was successful. This will prevent further interior damage due to leaks. read more
