She offered adding items, removing items and options that I would have never considered but completely fit my style and made each dress unique. Her shop is clean, organized and makes you feel like a princess while you make a huge decision for your big day in such a comforting setting. What an amazing Bridal experience! Stacie the owner treated us like we were family at a holiday dinner. Talk about the sweetest women ever. Her store has moved to Clarkston and is so cute and intimate. The dresses are highend and beautifully made with tons of options from different designers. I'm not sure why all the low reviews for this place. I came here a few weeks ago with my mom, and we had a great experience. This was the second dress shop I tried and the experience was very different than the first shop. Dina (Dinah?), our saleslady, was very knowledgeable and the three of us were the only people in the store. I found one dress I really loved, but it was a little pricier than I wanted to spend. Most dresses here are $1000+, I believe. That being said, we had a super nice experience here. Pictures were allowed, too; some of the past reviews here said they were NOT allowed and a contract had to be signed, which sounded crazy. read more

DO NOT do business here. Had to cancel an appointment because the mother of the bride was rushed to the hospital. Gave 24 hours notice, but they still insisted on charging us $50... They have zero compassion! When we tried to call and discuss with the store, they threatened to call the police. What a scam. Great way to guarantee we will not be purchasing a dress from you. Recommend the Wedding Shoppe instead. They are so sweet and were incredibly accommodating of our situation. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. I went back in March of 2021, it was AWFUL. It felt like being at a car dealership, they didn't really care about me or the dresses - they just wanted to make a sale. They ripped them on and off me, took no care about the dress. Almost ripped my hair out with a zipper/buttons and never apologized. They tried to yank a dress down over my hips that was clearly not the right size. And then was going to charge me more for a dress that I had found at another boutique. You should feel special at your wedding dress fitting and I just felt like a dollar sign. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. And the whole "you can't take pictures in here because of some rule with the designers"? BULLS***. Every other boutique that I went to allows pictures. That itself should've been a red flag. It's so they can try to force you to make a decision right then and there. Disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE. DO go to Beloved Bridal in Ann Arbor. The girls there are AMAZING and make you feel so so special. read more

It's interesting to read the receipt and store tag that is on the dress mention a 60% down payment to order a dress yet when I went last year to shop for a dress I was told to pay in full that day or I wouldn't be able to order my dress. Either change your policies that are on the receipt and tag to reflect that you have to pay for the dress that day or be more flexible and do the 60% off like advertised. Alterations also were nearly the price of the dress. It didn't need anything taken in or drastically changed either to account for that price. I'll be having someone else alter it. read more

Really nice place! Lots of beautiful dresses. See Isabel for excellent service, she was knowledgeable about the dresses and she listened to my daughter on what she liked and what she didn't like. There was no $50 appointment fee, we wouldn't have gone there if there were, I don't think that fee is right with the high cost of these dresses. No pictures were allowed which bummed me out. We would have liked a picture of the one she wanted to remember the things she liked about it. Be prepared though for the HUGE sales push. The Sales consultant and the owner pretty much double teamed my daughter and said everything they could to convince her to buy it today. They pushed so hard we started to think something was wrong so we left without the dress. We are giving it some time and some shopping around, as one SHOULD for such a big purchase, and if the dress is the one we will be back! read more

From the moment my family entered the store, we knew it was going to be different from the other three bridal salons we had been to. Isabel (Bel) was amazing from the minute she greeted us! Not only were the dresses beautiful, but what made it super special was the way that Bel and her other teammates treated us. They made it a super fun experience. I had a last minute issue and 3 weeks before my wedding they squeezed me in for an appointment, helped me find a new dress, altered it to fit me perfectly, pressed and cleaned it, and provided this beautiful veil for me as well. Avoid at all cost. My wedding was two years ago and I still cannot get over how this place ruined my wedding day. Dress and alterations all seemed to go well. I was happy until as I was walking down the aisle after getting married and standing in front of everyone for 30 some minutes my bridesmaid noticed they altered my dress with the wrong colored fabric. I tried to talk to the shop about this by writing a letter expressing how upset I was after spending over $2000 on a dress with them. They never apologized and actually threatened to sue me for defamation. I realize the dress seemed to be perfect in the shop but as soon as you were in daylight you could see every alteration they did using the different colored fabric. I was not as shocked about the error but how they handled it. I wouldn't risk your money here. There's plenty of great bridal shops in the area that won't threaten to sue you. read more

I had an amazing experience! We went to another place before Bella and it was awful. We walked into Bella and immediately had the perfect vibe! We were able to try on what I thought I wanted as well as what I actually decided to go with and some not so great along the way! I wish I would have read these reviews before making an appointment here. I was in town for a short period of time the day after Thanksgiving with my mom and sisters and wanted to go to a larger place that would have a lot of options. They did not tell me prior to my appointment that we couldn't take pictures- I never would have made the appointment. They also tried to reschedule me last minute for a later time, which I asked them not to do as we had reservations afterward and they kept the original. The sales woman who helped me in and out of the dresses was very sweet. However the other one completely ruined the entire experience from the minute I walked in the door. I told her it was my first time trying on dresses and she immediately went into the "your wedding date is too close, you'll be lucky to find something." And from that moment on had an opinion about every dress and pushed me SO HARD to buy something I did not want telling me I would be heartbroken. She also tried "we have 10 more appointments today." Which was a lie because there was not one other customer in the shop. With 90 min appointments already halfway through the day... do the math, they were not booked. I had such a wonderful experience at Bella Bridal. They were so accommodating to me and my entourage I found the perfect dress and I absolutely cannot wait until it arrives!! I have visited two other bridal galleries and Bella Bridal blew me away with their knowledge and pressure free shopping experience. In response to Bella Bridal's response, you're right, I was not a real customer - I was a potential customer. After the way I was treated, I will never be a real customer, nor will any of my family and friends who live in the West Bloomfield area (my Mom confirmed the same treatment when she visited the store). I was not told that there was a Trunk Show, and to be honest, I doubt there was. There were no customers in the store at the time of our arrival. I had one small request to look at (not try on) a dress, and apparently that was asking for too much. This is a sad review for me to write -- my mom was very excited to bring me to this salon and thought I would find *the dress* here. I came in knowing the idea of what I wanted and I believe I am a very gracious customer. However, I was treated second-class. First, I want to say when I finally did work with the bridal consultant -- Heather -- she was AWESOME. She gave her full attention to the bride she was working with, asked questions, and was very friendly and supportive. I really enjoyed working with Heather and I do not want this review to reflect on her, because she rocks. So back to my experience...I arrived on time for my appointment and was greeted by the owner. She helped me pull some dresses, and within fifteen minutes (I had gone through other stores to try on the gamut) I was ready to go. At this point, the owner asked me to sit and let the current bride "have her time." What? I was on time for my appointment. I then started to take in the scene. This place was set up for AT LEAST 2 brides to be going at once (as many stores are), however she had the 2 other consultants in the back stay there instead of assisting me. Why you might ask? Well the bride in front of me was buying one of their most expensive dresses so the owner stood and presided over the happenings (like a boarding school teacher) and let the consultant do all of the work. She literally made me wait because there were richer people buying dresses. No, I am not rich -- but I have saved every penny to buy the dress i have dreamed of. It was a painful almost twenty minutes waiting around and knowing I was not a priority customer for them at all. To be honest, they have very nice dresses. I was between one there and the dress I bought -- and I looked at my mother and said "I would not be happy going to that salon for fittings." Who wants to give their saved-up money to a salon that made you feel as if you did not matter? The salon is important, they make or break the experience. Bella Brdial, I hope you find it in your hearts to begin to treat all brides as if they are the star -- not just the ones with larger pocketbooks. read more

Went in here yesterday after finding them through Essence of Australia's website. They are the only store that shows up selling their gowns in Michigan. They didn't have any current dresses from the website. Even though they were having a "trunk show" as soon as I walked in the store I was handed a contract to not take any photos. Fine, whatever. Then I wanted to start trying on dresses and the lady insisted she stand in the dressing room while I got undressed. I told her no and she stood in there anyways. I tried to cover myself with one hand and take off gowns with the other. I've never felt this uncomfortable before in a store. It's not like I was going to sneak a photo because they made sure my coat and phone were outside of the room. I have been losing weight so I asked the women what size dresses I was trying on because they were all a bit big (great feeling) her response: sample gowns are all different sizes. Okay? But what am I trying on? No response. I found one dress I liked and it was a perfect fit. She said the dress was over $3500 but If I buy it right now it's $1100. I explained this is my second stop and I need my mom and sister to see it. And since I can't show them a photo of me in it can they at least give me the style number so I can show them online. THEY REFUSED! TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T KNOW THE STYLE NUMBER OR NAME OF THE DRESS!!! Ladies. The dress was so old it's not on the designers website anymore. That's why the markdown was so heavy. The last thing about this store is that there is a man sitting behind a two way mirror. He watches you model your gown outside of the fitting room. My best friend had to take her son to the bathroom and saw him sitting there. Ladies go somewhere else. read more

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Bella. It was the second place I went to find my wedding dress. If I didn't have the first place to compare Bella to, I don't know if I'd have appreciated it so much. The first place I went to had outrageous prices and a very limited selection. I felt rushed, I felt out of my league...I felt overwhelmed with a fear that my life savings would go into this dress! Plus, the staff was very snooty and rather pushy. Not a combo you want when you're dropping the big bucks. You want to feel good about what you're doing, not like you're buying into something. Then I went to Bella. I walked in and was immediately greeted by their friendly staff. They didn't shoot the 20 questions at me, there wasn't a quiz of: Where's your wedding? How big is it? What's your colors? Nope. And I loved that. They let me chose MY dress. They let me just walk right up and point at the ones I wanted to try. The other place tried to dictate their taste to me. That didn't work. I know what I like, I have my own distinct taste. So getting to go and pick dresses from the rack was amazing. They have many dresses to try and the ladies there are so very helpful! I got my dress for a very good price. It was just what I'd hoped for. Not only were they supportive in my dress hunt, but they continued to be helpful every step of the way. They invited me to a jewelry trunk show where I got a gorgeous necklace, earrings and bracelet. Also, both the initial and final dress fittings were a breeze. They really made it all very easy and were very professional and kind. It was evident by the way they treated me that they are genuinely happy for their brides. You can tell they just beam with pride. They have good reason, their dresses are beautiful and reasonable and their staff is nothing but the best. I can't say enough. The only slight surprise was the 195 "alteration" fee just for bustling my dress. I don't know if that's normal, but it seemed steep. Then we came back and the seamstress had done such a fantastic job with it, I felt it was worth every penny. All in all, I highly recommend Bella. They will make you feel like a princess! ...I didn't even think that was my thing, but boy it felt really good! read more

The bottom line is they took almost a $1000 for alterations, did an epic fail of a job and wants to blame the customer. Refuses to fix anything . I agree with Katie H., the only bad thing is how much they charge for alterations. But I am lazy and didn't want to take my dress anywhere else, so I left it there and paid for alterations because of convenience. Also, the last payment for alterations had to be in cash, which is always annoying. When looking for wedding dresses, I had a hard time finding places that didn't hold normal business hours during the weekday. I have to work during the week, and my weekends were busy. On Thursdays and Fridays, they are open till 8pm so my mom and I dropped in on a Friday. Pulling up to the store, I was scared. It was prom season and in the window was a neon green, poofy, bedazzled dress. However, they have a TON of different dresses. The saleslady was very patient with me and that day I decided on a lovely, simple lace gown. The dress came in early and every time I visited it, Sonya (the owner) was there and knew my name. She is sooo friendly and wants to make sure her customers are happy. I had two or three fittings and also got my shoes there (which they dyed to match the dress). They also have a wide range of bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and some jewelry. Very nice place! read more

4.5 stars really. The only bad things are that they charge a lot for alterations ( I needed only a 1/2 inch hem and cups put in and they charged me $195) and they won't let you take pictures of the dress until you buy it, which a lot of salons do. This is the only place I tried on wedding dresses. I tried on about 30 dresses and the sales person was so patient and helpful. I narrowed it down to 3 and then 2, and then pretty much settled on my dress. I can back with my mom the next day and bought the dress. I came back for a fitting when the dress came in, and then again to make sure it was okay and pick it up. Every time, the service was fantastic. They were also really understanding when I rescheduled appointments or was late. they have a great selection of dresses at all price ranges, including some that aren't all bedazzled and poofy, which is what I wanted. I ended up paying $600 for my dress and I loved it. read more

I had an amazing experience at this bridal shop. I found a dress online, found the designer and then found local shops that carried the designer. I called all 3 shops and Bella Bridal Gallery was the only shop that offered to call their supplier to see if they could find this specific dress. It didn't even cross my mind that hunting down a dress was an option outside of having it or not having it in stock. They gave me a timeframe of when they would be contacting me back. They stayed true to their word and called me a few days later to say YES they found it and could bring it in (at a fee for shipping). I said absolutely. When my dress came in a few days before my appt they called to let me know it arrived. When I went in for my appt. We decided to pull 4 or 5 other dresses for me to try on before my ordered sample. I tried on some beautiful dresses. But when I tried on the dress they so kindly hunted down for me...I had the moment when I just knew that this was the dress. The staff was so helpful and complimentary. This is a smaller more intimate boutique which I loved because I never felt overwhelmed. I had a great experience and HIGHLY recommend this bridal shop. This was first time trying on dresses and I was overall underwhelmed with the experience. Prior to the visit they didn't ask anything about what I was looking for, so it was pretty much a free for all of going through the dress racks to see what I wanted to try on. Once I tried on some dresses, instead of the customer service person allowing me to make my own decisions on the dresses, she often times gave her opinion about the dress and a couple times commented on how it didn't work for my body type. My advice for her next time is ask the bride if she wants your advice on the dress (that's usually what her guests are for) The sales person should not be commenting on someone's body in my opinion. When we decided to not purchase the dress right away, the sales associate did not seem very happy and didn't even say goodbye to us as we walked out (she had already moved on to a new customer before we left). I can't say enough AWFUL things about this place. When I first started my dress shopping journey I purposely went to a boutique so I could have something original. I didn't want to look like every other bride. So when they charged me 50$ to even have an appt. I said okay. I then get to the gallery and find that we are not allowed to take pictures in any of these dresses. Only if I decide to buy one, and I will not receive my 50$ back if I don't buy one there that day. Again, I said okay. When I try on the dress that I would later purchase I was very happy. I really did love the dress, however it was $4,000 so I did want to be able to explore further options. Almost immediately the elderly saleswoman with the short gray hair, and the rude young sales associate with the red frizzy hair says "well this is a trunk show gown. So it's only here temporarily and there is a huge chance if you came back tomorrow it would be gone" so with the pressure on I was forced to make a decision. I asked for a moment of privacy with my mother in law to discuss, and they stayed in the room the entire time offering input during our PRIVATE conversation. I end up buying the gown because I really did not want to miss an opportunity to have a one of a kind trunk show gown. They also let me know that the dress only came in champagne so I would not be able to have the dress in white. I was okay with this considering my ethnicity and skin tone, the dress basically looked white against my skin. Fast forward to my first fitting, I walk in to see a young lady trying on my dress.....that shouldn't be there because I "bought the only trunk show gown they had" but I stayed quiet because I already spent 4grand and another thousand in alterations. One week before my wedding I see my best friend from highschool has gotten married and would you believe she had the same dress..... in white. So me being me, I messaged her. She informed that she bought her dress from Bella bridal gallery and she was so happy because she got the last one... and it was a trunk show special. The tears, the anger, the betrayal all of it was just really overwhelming. I call them to have a discussion and they tell me I can come in, when I get there, there is ANOTHER girl trying on the dress while the red head explained to her that if she didn't buy it today, then it wouldn't be there. I was beyond disgusted. I spoke to the old woman with the grey hair. She told me it was my own fault. That they didn't lie about anything. While I literally stood right there and listened to them spin the same shit to another bride that they did to me. I'm standing in the dressing room sobbing and they said nothing. No words at all. I'm asking you to go to as many places as you can all while avoiding Bella bridal. They sell these young women dreams. Make them believe they are one of kind and exclusive and that's just not the case. As brides, as women, as humans, we deserve better then to be scammed by a group of old bitches. We don't spend all this money to look like every other bride. Don't be naive like myself and get walked on by this David's bridal knock off. This place is disgusting. Not a fan This was the second dress shop I went to. The first place I went was good 'ole David's bridal. They asked me to fill out a questionnaire about what types of dresses I like before the appointment and had me save my favorite dresses to my profile so they could pull them when I got there. They let me put on my wedding shoes with the dress and take lots of photos so I could remember the dress. So professional! Then, I come here to Bella Bridal and the minute i walk in i have to sign a contract that I won't take photos (what?!). Only asked what type of dresses I liked when I got there, then like someone else said, it was like a free for all filing through the dresses. The dress tags had no size, price, or style number on them. So you have no idea what you were stepping into. Then she comes in the room with me as I'm changing (awkward). She wouldn't let me wear my shoes with the dress because she thought I was going to rip her dress (they were block heels not stilettos lol)Then, once I tried on one dress they took the other one I had just taken off out of the room and hung it right back up in the racks of dresses. Like, what if I wanted to try one on again? Then we asked prices and they have us a "today only price" . The best part.. a few hours after I got home they sent me a text that first of all spelled my name totally wrong. Like they gave me a different name. Then they proceeded to say "I cant get over how gorgeous your figure looked in that dress! It was jaw-dropping " then told me to call and order. First of all, get the name right of your client. Second, don't feel comfortable having someone say how "good my figure looked" in a dress, just so they can get a sale. Just an overall weird and not great experience. read more

My dress was beautiful but the alterations were terrible. I added a lace off the shoulder sleeve and I wanted to do another fitting before picking up my gown and was yelled at by the owner because it was already steamed. So what? He threatened that if I tried it on again they would charge me to resteam it. I couldn't believe how he treated me over the phone. It was too close to my wedding day to change places. I ended up having one of the sleeves falling off the whole day of my wedding one was perfect and one was way too loose. After they get their money they treat you like sh*t. I purchased my wedding gown at Bella Bridal for my September 2009 wedding. After visiting about 10 bridal boutiques in the Chicago area, Bella was such a refreshing and friendly atmosphere for dress shopping. I did not find a single dress that I liked when searching at the salons in Chicago. 10 minutes after searching through the racks at Bella, my Maid of Honor and I had picked out about 15 dresses with high potential. The prices were all very reasonable (nothing I had picked out was over $1200). They also threw in free shoes with my purchase and 15% off the dress total. The alterations turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The bridesmaid dresses and their alterations were perfect, too :) Sonia (owner) and her team treats you like a friend. They were so excited to see me or my bridesmaids when we went for fittings. Sonia gave great advice on what would like good in terms of jewelry and veil style. The staff was all around very friendly. All of my girlfriends from the metro Detroit area have gotten their dresses from Bella. We love them! read more

The team at Bella Bridal was very friendly and helped find my perfect wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. My only qualm was when I asked for a final estimated price including alterations they quoted me lower than my budget so I thought it was okay. Then when I came in for my first fitting they said my alterations were going to cost an additional $900 which made me over budget and was about half the cost of my dress already. It ended up being worth it though because my dress was perfect and beautiful and the Italian lady who did my alterations was the absolute best. read more

I was nervous and excited when I went shopping for my wedding dress, however I heard of great things from Bella's bridal so made an appointment. The staff was very nice and really helpful in the whole process. I absolutely loved my dress and would recommend Bella's to brides to be. I don't know if I ever written a poor review but due to the customer service at Bella Bridal, I thought it necessary. My wedding was last New Years Eve and I found a beautiful gown. I have to say, even though my dress was overpriced, I loved my Sophia Tolli dress. The rest of the experience with Bella Bridal was traumatic. I live out of town and scheduled a trip specifically to do my first fitting. I got a call 2 days before my appointment saying they needed to cancel. When I called back on the day my appointment was for to confirm for a few days later, to my surprise the seamstress was in the shop. I had expressed my concern and told them I was coming in specifically to do my fitting when they originally had cancelled and no one bothered to tell me we could keep the appointment. I asked the sales associate to have a manager call me and boy was that a mistake. The owner (a gentleman, I do not remember his name) called me literally YELLING at me saying I disrespected his sales associate and that they shouldn't be dealing with a bride like me. This went on for over 10 minutes (no joke) before I could even speak. I have never experienced something so nasty and unprofessional in my life. At this point, I thought I was going to just say screw them and find a last minute dress elsewhere... I did not even want to step foot back into the shop. I ended up going in a few days later and requested that he not be there. I have read a few reviews that speak to this similar action so please... if you want a stress free and positive experience in buying your wedding dress, do not shop here.
