The meal was fine until we got the bill. The bill included 3% for credit card usage and an 18% service charge. I understand the 3% but it was added automatically and we were never asked how we wanted to pay. What really irritated me was the 18% service charge. This was never mentioned and the customer bill we had to sign had a line for a tip, suggesting 18%,20% or 22%. Unless you really checked you bill, I can easily see people paying the S/C and a tip. This was deceiving and I would never go back or recommend the place. read more

There was nothing enjoyable about our time at this restaurant last night. We were seated for our 7:20 reservation, but did not see wait staff for 15 minutes. Once ordered we we did not see wait staff until they brought our food (40 minutes after ordering). When my daughter went to ask on the situation she was told by the manager to please go sit and relax. The sandwiches, Cuban and Steak, were HORRIBLE. Loved this place! The seating inside isn't too big but sitting outside on a cool night is nice, like we did. Our server was amazing (I think his name was Chris); he was super attentive and sweet. To eat, I had the traditional Cuban sandwich with Yuca fries and fried plantains - delicious. On weekends they offer bottomless mimosas, sangrias, and Bloody Mary's for $25. We enjoyed mimosas one day and sangrias the next. Service is friendly and the location can't be beat. It's one block from the Lincoln Road Mall and two blocks from the beach.
