We had a great breakfast at Montana's in Miami! My mom ordered Tony's Breakfast and I got the Huevos Rancheros, and both were really good. I also had a coffee while she had orange juice, and everything came out fresh and tasty. One of the best parts of this spot is the location--it's right off Ocean Drive, so the vibe is very Miami. They also have the Tony Montana car and figure out front, which makes for a really fun photo opportunity and adds to the experience. The food was definitely good, and the atmosphere made it even better. It is a little on the pricey side, but that's pretty typical for Miami, especially in that area. If you're a fan of the movie this is a very cool place to visit. Lots of on theme decor. The drinks are also really good and not insanely overpriced, they were pretty average for Miami. Got the eliviras cafecito and the blue Hawaiin. I'd get both again especially the cafecito. Drinks are not toooo strong but you can taste the alcohol which is good. Staff is nice. This place was so perfect, especially because it is the spot where they filmed the infamous chainsaw scene. Perfect to go if you love the movie. We were 4 people with 2 checks. 5 cocktails per couple and our bills with 18% gratuity included were about $200 per couple. We both had beef empanada's . The food was great! However, one of the steak egg rolls fell on the table and the Sandra sent one back for me but it came bar charred and extremely burnt. Indicating to me that they took the same one that fell on the table and just charred it to a crisp. Not good service in my opinion. I don't blame my server for that however because she was attentive sweet and quick, but that's more so a disgrace for the cook. This was such a fun spot to seat and people watch the service was great, the food was amazing, it was happy hour to boot so we really got to try a lot of what they had to offer. We tried the Chicken Empanadas which were flaky and flavorful. The chicken was seasoned well and the salsa was a nice accoutrement to the dish. We also ordered the Guacamole that was topped with a pico de gallo and was also very flavorful and delicious. Lastly, the buffalo wings which were meaty and a house buffalo sauce that really set itself apart from other places we have had wings since it was not at all vinegar-y. Here is where the 3 star that comes in. We had a party of 6. 3 kids and 3 adults. We had 4 beers that totaled a little over 20 dollars because they were on HH for 5.95 a piece. The children ordered Shirley Temples, the first two were served in rocks glasses. They had refills we paid $25!!!!! For these soda in total. That was literally a third of our bill. Food $30 ($10 per plate) Beer $25 (4 beers) Kids sodas $25 (5 sodas) I didn't scour the menu for drink refill policy but it would have been nice to been informed especially when the server was insisting they can get you another. read more

Went for a little beach walk and thought I'd drop by for a quick breakfast. Other places around had a solid amount of guests, so I suppose that should've been a warning sign... The welcoming hostess offered me a coffee on the house, and I ordered a Breakfast Burrito from the menu. According to the menu it was a breakfast burrito with eggs, avocado, pico de gallo and beans. The burrito came after approximately 6 minutes. It did not have any avocado, or pico de gallo. I immediately realized it was CrAZY BURNED (like BLACK char)- even though the cook obviously had flipped it upside down to conceal the fact that he should've tossed it - and remade it. Solid laziness, considering I was the only guest there. (Who knows; maybe he was busy talking on his phone with on loud speaker, just like the hostess!? It's been a while since I worked in hospitality, but maybe it's become accepted to have personal phone conversations while at work!?)... For me it's unacceptable to serve something that's OBVIOUSLY burned . Especially when the price of the breakfast burrito was $25 before tax and the automatic 20% service charge. The burrito on the plate wasn't even close to what was described in the menu. It looked more like yesterday's Taco Bell Breakfast Burrito, reheated. (Taco Bell taste way better!). So; considering all the factor's I came to the conclusion; Poorly Managed Restaurant where the cook don't even know what's on the menu. It was right on Ocean Dr. and we loved the energy on the strip so we decided to eat outside, but while we were there I did take the time to walk around the restaurant and they had super cool Tony Montana theme's there that we all loved. Our server was friendly, and it wasn't very busy, so our food came out pretty fast, plus we all just ordered appetizers because we wanted to get to the beach. Unfortunately, a friend ordered a chicken taco but received a shrimp quesadilla instead, that was a terrible situation because he is allergic to shellfish and when we brought it up to the server she wasn't too pressed about it and just told us they would get his correct order soon. Food was decent, I had some bbq wings they were tasty I honestly didn't have much expectations on the taste because I have wings often and I think it is really hard to mess up some wings lol I was there to eat just to sort of fill my tank up before sitting in the sun all day, and I definitely got that done. read more

Traveling from out of state, I took my father and father-in-law here to celebrate Father's Day and because Scarface is our favorite movie and the establishment and customer service exceeded my expectations. We were greeted by what I believe was the owner/ manager and he let us decide where to sit between the speakeasy, lounge, and outdoor area. He accommodated us very well and ensured we were comfortable. He also assisted to get a phenomenal picture with the Tony Montana painting. We had almost finished our meal when we saw it , when we informed the waiter, her response was, "Yes, we know, that's why we're closing early and the manager knows" We understand that unexpected situations can happen, but if management was already aware, they should have closed immediately. Live around the block so thought I'd try it out for a special occasion. Got the spinach dip and chips which were pretty decent, and the chicken marsala which had a good flavor. Meatball was fine. The octopus though was terrible, like almost comically overcooked. It takes a LOT for me to send a dish back but the disparity between quality and price was way too much on this one. Ive had octopus at mid level places that's a little on the overdone side but still edible. This was not. 3 stars because some of the food was good, and they took the octopus off the check. Service in general wasn't great and while I don't care a whole lot about outstanding customer service, asking at least once about a drink refill would have been nice.
