After my stylist left, I tried another and gave her about 5 appts to get it right (doesn't include the redo's). I think the new person will eventually be a good stylist and colorist, but needs some more practice before she's there. I'm more disappointed in the owner for not contacting me or stepping in to help when I came back for the 3rd time in a week for a color correction. Being a business owner, that would have been the right thing to do. I even asked the receptionist if the owner is made aware that I've been back 3 times in the same week. Her comment....yes, there's a note made in your file and if she reads it, then she knows. Hmmm. So, time to move on. I'm looking for someone that knows color really really really well. Also someone that understands texture and how to do that. Any good tips? Salon Dolche lost a customer. Hopefully the owner will learn. Take care of your customers and they'll keep coming back. Summary 5 Stars for Color - 1 star for styling ability (if you are a flat iron girl you will be fine), 2 stars for costs. I have gone to Bella Dolche 3 times now - 2 appointments for myself and one for my daughter. I have a little longer than shoulder length hair that is quite curly (if I use the right products) or can be a frizzy mess. The first impression with the salon when I called was great, very nice and helpful. Part of the reason I chose this salon was because it's an Aveda salon which I had been accustomed to. An apointment was set with Nai. I needed a cut and color (get rid of those pesky gray roots). Nai was great and did caution me that to update my color (going to a little redder red than I was already at) she would have to use 2 colors. I thought - no problem, that sounds fine. My previous stylist used 2 colors each time I had my color done (and did my eyebrows to boot). Long story short, the process was not different from what I had been used to at a high end salon in downtown Seattle but the price sure was.....when she said 2 colors she meant charging me for 2 separate colors which cost $210, more than I had ever paid previously. Loved the color and the cut but, not the way she styled my hair. I'm one that round brushes my hair when I dry it, smooths out my natural curl, gives me a little wave and a lift in the front so it's not flat and stays out of my face. Nai started pulling out these gigantic round brushes that she proceeded to roll my hair up in and leave there hanging. Ok...this is different but, just go with it. I tried to get a good look as it looked like there was hair still in the brushes from previous use but couldn't get a good enough look to confirm - that is not a great feeling. This method did not produce the smooth hair I am used to so after attempting to fix on my dry hair ended up getting it wet the next day (something I normally don't do to allow the color to really get set in) and restyling myself. Still, the color was good and the cut was well done so I made an appointment for my teenage daughter. She was very pleased with the cut and styling (she's a flat iron girl) and that is saying something as she is very picky, She did mention that Nai is rough handed - which she is. It's not a relaxing experience to have her wash your hair for sure. Yesterday I had my second and most likely my last. It was time to cover those pesky gray roots again. Nai did an excellent and thorough job of getting to all the roots, which is greatly appreciated. Then instead of using the same color and just pull it through, the rest of my hair, she let the color process and then after doing a partial rinse, she applied a solution to refresh the color. My mistake for not speaking up but, the smell was overwhelming and I felt like I had trouble breathing. Again, the rough handed washing, and she barely let the conditioner sit on my hair at all so when she got done it was a complete rats nest - again, not something I'm used to. Again, the styling was sticking the big ol' round brushes in my hair and letting them hang there. Still love the color but on the way home I was nearly in tears as my hair was so flat and falling in my face. Definitely not the way you want to feel when leaving a salon. Nai also seemed rushed towards the end as she told me a couple times she had another client waiting. And, yes...this morning I had to again wet my hair (and condition it) as I couldn't do ANYTHING with it. Like, that was my fault? If they didn't schedule Nai's appointments appropriately, how is that my issue or concern? I also had an appointment for a brow wax yesterday. The appointment was scheduled by Barbie, with Barbie so I was surprised when I showed up and the woman at the front desk said she would let Denise know I was there. Denise? Who is she? No explaination was ever given, I figured maybe Barbie was ill or not able to make it - so was surprised when I saw Barbie in the salon not 5 minutes after my brows had been done. Denise was very nice and did a decent job on my brows but, I'm pretty certain it's not something she does all the time as she is one of the stylists. read more

I've never been a client at either locations but have accompanied a friend on her first ever visit for a haircut recently. As a long-time salon owner from another state and a professional styles coach I wasn't impressed with the demeanor of the stylists and/or the owner(s). A short man behind the counter seemed very bossy and a lady helped herself to a cold beverage meant for clients and told the stylists "remember, these are for clients, not for you." I am absolutely ecstatic to have a top notch salon in my hometown of Everett after years of driving to Seattle for service akin to what I can now enjoy right here at home! Lone is my regular stylist and is very knowledgeable, staying abreast of the latest trends hence able to make fantastic and creative suggestions but also listens closely and adheres to her clients' wishes. I've never walked out the door of Salon Dolce less than supremely satisfied with the service I've received. Also I wanted to share my experience with the Hair Dreams hair extensions. I've been wearing them for five months now and though I've passed the guarantee, they're still in and as gorgeous as ever! Lone was able to match the texture and color of my hair exactly. The extensions are made from top quality human hair that meshes seamlessly with my own. Best of all I can wash, dry, curl, straighten, braid or do anything to it as if it were my own. This was my first visit to Bella Dolche and I left a happy customer (with a second appointment in the books)! The front desk person was very friendly and I was offered a drink as soon as I was checked in. The waiting room doesn't have much seating; there was one chair and a small loveseat, which were both taken. I perched awkwardly on a barstool that I think may be mostly for decoration, but thankfully I was taken back for my massage almost immediately. My masseuse was Chulita and she was wonderful! I was offered two scent options: lavender or peppermint. She left the room so I could undress and when I got onto the table I was surprised at how rigid it was; it felt like a piece of wood with a thin cushion over it. The bottom of my chin was also somewhat resting on something wooden, so I had to scoot way up into the face rest. It wasn't terrible but I'm definitely used to a softer, wider table. When it was time to turn onto my back, there was only a (somewhat flat) pillow under my knees. I'd have preferred a bolster, because my lower back wasn't supported and was a little achy. Other than that everything was perfect. The temperature in the room was comfortable, and the massage was perfect! Chulita checked in after a few minutes to make sure the pressure was okay, but was silent the rest of the time (which I appreciate, as I'm not one to chat while I get a massage). It would be nice if there was a mirror in the massage room because my hair was all mussed and I'd have liked to tidy up a bit. There was a bathroom nearby though, so I suppose that's available for use. Overall I am very pleased with my visit, and I'll be returning in two weeks for another massage with Chulita. I was given a punch card and notified that after 5 services (of $35 or more) the sixth is free. read more

My wife and I both go to Chelsea. She's great with being able to look at a picture and replicate the cut exactly, which, for a guy (for me, anyway) is handy as we don't always know how to express what we're looking for. She went out of her way to make sure my neckline was straight and clean and she really knows her product, too. They offer you coffee, tea or water on arrival and it's a very relaxed environment. My only complaint would be the "scent table" right behind the couch in the waiting area. I'm not complaining that they offer customers customizable perfumes, but that people tend to go waaaaaaaaay overboard when applying what is essentially pure scented oils, and that the smell can be VERY strong in the small-ish waiting area. Other than that, the salon is an A+!! They even called me back to schedule an appointment when they were too busy to talk to me on the phone. Can't go wrong with Salon Dolche. read more

I came here to get my hair cut short after having long hair for a long time. Fawn was my stylist and she was very attentive to what I wanted. I got an A symmetric bob and I couldn't have been happier! I've gone back several times for more haircuts and styling. Fawn also dyed (foil? not sure of the term) my hair purple and it was a hit! My husband and I have been going to Bella Dolche for haircuts for a couple of years, and we have always had a great experience. We love the employees and always feel welcome. The tea they offer is excellent. I also appreciate the fact that I get complimented on my hair color when I come in, even though I do it at home. I use henna (NOT the beauty supply garbage but the lawsonia inermis), and this is the only salon I have been to where they don't get on my case about it. :). These gals are the best! read more

The best thing I can say about the Salon is the receptionist...I came out with the WORST hair cut I have ever had. I felt the stylist that cut my hair belonged at Great Clips, her appearance was not anything professional, she looked like she rolled out of bed to come to work and then did NOT listen to what I wanted with my hair but instead she did what she thought she would like. Other stylists there seemed to be somewhat professional but not the chick I saw. I would rather pay more money to get the results I want with a professional and not someone who can't even take care of themselves. read more

I just got the most amazing pedicure that I have ever had. Tami was amazing. The environment was relaxing and the service was excellent.

First I've never made an apt any where to get a pedicure, which found out the hard way we had too. So we went in for our apt, had to wait for 15 min's while they got ready (it was very slow in there not sure why they were just setting up). Told them this was my daughter's first time ever getting a pedicure. First try and get into their chairs is almost impossible, they didn't ask what kind of pedicure we wanted (they have 3 different ones). I guess they just do whatever the hell they want to do. They weren't very nice at all, the girl that was doing my daughters was rough, she told her a few times it hurt, and she kept on tearing her feet apart. At one point she was almost in tears. The girl that did mine, acted like this was the first one she ever has done. You can't leave from a pedicure and still have dry feet. I guess they ran out of spacers too, so they used paper towels. WORSE pedicure EVER!!! so bad that the polish like bleed all over my toes, it was hell and for $70 seriously. I would NEVER go back there. read more

Bought a amazon local deal that was for the luxury spa pedicure with parrafin dip. I had never had a pedicue before (mainly because I have very small toe nails so I felt like it would be rude to have them try to deal with painting them) but I wanted a foot massage and pamper so I did it. This is an american facility. The tech who did my pedicure seemed very disinterested in her job and went about her merry way just chewing and slighly popping her gum. I do not have anything to compare this to, but it was actually a slightly painful experience. She used a sea salt scrub on my legs then rinses it off with some oil that made my legs BURN! Then she was clipping my toenail cuticle down and that hurt like crazy too. She was so agressive with the clippers. Very light quick massage on my calf/ feet. And no paraffin dip. I didn't say anything because I was nervous about the whole experience and had no idea what order anything happened but when the polish came I knew the dip wasn't going to come. So I just shut my mouth. She compained about my toenails that they were going to be hard to paint. I apolotgized and said I understood and it was ok to actually paint part of my "toe" too since I usually did that to make the last two toenails appear bigger. This place has really expensive prices and had it not been for that deal I got I would never go there and pay full price. But I probably won't go there again anyways. Trying to schedule an appt is ridiculously difficult since they never answered the phone the many times I called. Im amazed I got a hold of them the time I did to book my appt. But my toenails looked ok after they were done but there was nothing relaxing about this spa pedicure experience. read more

I wanted to try a new stylist and after reading reviews I decided to go to Salon Dolce. I was given an appointment with a senior stylist so I figured she would do good work. When I arrived, the receptionist's customer service (or rather her lack-there-of) left much to be desired and left a very poor first impression. She was not friendly or welcoming at all and I had the thought that unless my stylist did an exceptional job I would not be coming back. There is only a small love seat to sit on in the waiting area so if there's more than one or two people you have nowhere to sit. When I talked to my stylist about what I wanted I told her I only wanted two or three inches taken off with all over layers and the front tapered from the point where my bangs stopped. She said okay. I walked out of there with short hair that was all one length and tapering that started two inches below my chin instead of where my bangs stopped. She took off six or seven inches instead of two or three and didn't put in any layers at all. This is after I told her how short I wanted the layers to be and she even asked it I liked layers in the back. So either she doesn't know what layers are (which is a very basic hairdressing concept) or she forgot to put them in. Either way its not okay. The tapering started where my bangs stopped on one side, but she started them four inches down from there on the other side. I heard a few of the other stylists bad-mouthing clients who hadn't liked their cut or color which is totally unprofessional. I understanding that there are people who have unrealistic expectations with their hair or are never happy with it, but don't talk poorly about them after they walk out the door when there are other clients in the salon still. The entire experience was bad from start to finish and I will not be going back. read more

Made an appointment for my two kids and myself. I was clear when making the appointment that I wanted to get my hair cut while the kids were back-to-back with someone else to keep at least one busy at a time. Kids do good when it is just one of them at a time, but with both of them together, oh boy are they bad. So they get my son first and myself, going good so far but when they are done with my son they NEVER get my daughter. I asked the stylist that was doing my hair but she just said she had no clue why they had not come to get my daughter. So I have two kids running around the salon :( My stylist ended up cutting my daughters hair after she was done with mine since I told my 5 year old that she was getting a hair cut and would throw a fit if she did not get one after her brother got his. So more than two hours later when paying for the hair cuts I am told that the stylist that cut my son's hair had someone else that ran unexpectedly long and she cut his hair while STILL doing someone else's and I can say that it was noticeable that she was not concentrating on his hair. The stylist that did my hair and my daughters did a really good job and that is why I am giving 3 stars, but they could have notified me of the issue when I first got there and I could have rescheduled rather then go through that embarrassment and frustration. read more

I made an appointment for a haircut and brow wax at 2:30 on Saturday. I arrived about 10 minutes early, so I knew I would have a bit of a wait. At about 2:40, Barbie called me back for the brow wax. She did a great job, and I was done about 3:00. At 3:30, I was still waiting to be called back for my haircut. When my stylist Rachel finally called me back, we did a consultation about what I wanted and showed her a picture. It was nothing out of the ordinary, or an impossible request. I have had this short layered haircut many times, but this is probably one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. It looks more like a mans cut and not much like the picture I showed, and it's all choppy and not blended where it should be. It was the most money I have ever spent for a cut in my life and expected way better than what was done. It's a shame, since everyone was so nice . They are definitely off my list. read more

I am upset! I purchased a deal through living social; and I live about an hour away from the salon & spa. Unfortunately, I had car trouble on the morning of my appt. and, as such, had to cancel. I found the receptionist to be incredibly short with me/downright rude! The salon immediately redeemed my living social voucher; so I wasted money that I didn't have. (Not appreciated.) I understand refund policies; etc...but it seems that a professional would consider provisions and/or exceptions to any policy - as "unforeseen circumstances" do arise. Not fair. Thus, not a good morning for me - and again - it was bad enough awaking to no functional automobile; and insult added to injury with a rude receptionist. Living social cannot help me - however - Bella Dolche sure could have made an exception and made this right. Thanks for nothing - as I see it - you stole money from me and weren't even cordial about it! read more

Okay so I made an appointment at Bella Dolche to get some low lights and some high lights done. This was my second time there and I had been pleased with their service before so of course I would go back. When I made the appointment I was told on the phone that the stylist that did my hair last time had moved on and I would be seeing Ann for my upcoming visit. That was fine with me, I just needed my hair done. Ann finished coloring my hair and I decided to have her cut my hair. I saw a hair style that would take about 10" off my hair. When she was done I was extremely pleased. The color was perfect and the cut was by far one of the best cuts that I have ever gotten. Not just that but Ann was truly a very nice person. She was easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable with what she was doing with my hair. I will be going to back to Bella Dolche Salon and Spa and I will be recommending this place to all of my family and friends. read more

I don't even know what to say....except that my experience was less than. Far less than I deserved. I have curly hair which can be tricky to cut, so I had a "level 3" stylist cut my hair. I asked for no more than 3 inches off, as I need to be able to pull my hair back into a pony tail. I also requested a little layering. OK so, my hair was butchered. I cannot pull it into a pony tail, the layers are uneven and chunky. I think she must have cut at least 5 inches off. I am not sure how this happened. She tried to style it but it looked absolutely horrible and I walked out of there looking like a worn out old housewife, which I am not! I am very very disappointed. UGH. Thankfully I do have curly hair and when I came home I restyled it and it looks like if I do my hair for the next three months I can slide by. I have already had three people comment on how awful my hair looks. That is the last thing one wants to hear after getting their hair cut. read more
