Yesterday I redeemed a Living Social deal for a luxury pedicure at Bella Dolche Salon. When I booked my appointment (which can conveniently be done online), I decided to also splurge on a manicure since I had a formal party to attend that evening. I scheduled my appointment for 11:30am. I arrived about 10 minutes early. The girls at the front desk were friendly and told me it would be a few minutes. I was really impressed with the atmosphere of the salon. It seems really clean and somewhat upscale. About 10 minutes after arriving, at the time of my actual appointment, I was told that the previous appointment was running a little late and it would be a few more minutes. It wasn't until approximately 15 minutes past my appointment time that I was finally called back to the "spa" area. It wasn't a big deal, but when I make an appointment for a specific time, it's nice to not have to wait. The "spa" area is basically a smaller room behind the reception area. There are 2 spa pedicure chairs and one manicure station. They are VERY close together and getting into the pedicure chairs practically requires acrobatics. Once I was finally settled in, the pedicure itself was very nice...the luxury package included a scrub and paraffin wax. A was slightly disappointed that the pedicurist didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut (which I did), instead she just filed them and she really didn't clean up my cuticles or anything...which is why I spend the money on pedicures. I was also disappointed in the polish selection. I can understand not having a wall with hundreds of colors, but at least the OPI basics and the current collections would have been better than what was available. When my pedicure was done, I was moved over to the manicure station and a different technician took over. The manicure was fine...nothing special. I went with the luxury manicure which also included the scrub & paraffin. When I left I took a closer look at my toes and they were unevenly filed and I honestly could've done a better job polishing them myself. When I went to checkout, the reception didn't even bother to ask how my experience was. I finally just told her that while the pedicurist was really sweet and the pedicure itself was nice, I was really disappointed with the polish job. She looked at my toes and asked if I wanted them redone, but I had already been there 2 hours and didn't feel like spending any more time there. Upon further inspection of my fingernails today, I see that the polish is already chipping and the color is not even all the way down to the base of my nail. Again, I feel that I could have done a better job painting my nails at home. Overall, if I were to have the opportunity to purchase another Living Social or Groupon deal, I might, but I would not spend full price for what I received yesterday. I really wanted this salon to be good. I've been there twice-- the first time I didn't like the way my hair turned out. It was a corrective color to cover a lot of red that another hairdresser pulled from my hair with an over processed color. (I don't like red and I look terrible in it.) The stylist at Bella Dolce wouldn't do the simple tone I asked for to tone down the red and developed a complicated dye plus highlight scheme that was much more expensive. She finally convinced me it would be better than a simple tone. It was tolerable, and much darker than I expected, and still very red. It WAS better however and she said a good fix for my hair couldn't be done in one session and I believed her and scheduled a second appt for three months later. The second time I went I wanted to try to get the rest of the red out of my hair while keeping it the about the same level and place a few blond highlights. Again it was very expensive compared to my previous salon, and it came out terribly. The bottom is nearly black, instead of light neutral brown like my natural color, and the T section is dirty blonde, with a lot of gold in it still. My hair is terribly two toned, like that hairstyle that used to be popular-- black on bottom, blond on top. It does not look like a light neutral brown with a few blond highlights. The right side, that the helper stylist applied color on was patchy with a dark streak by my face and then a reddish spot near the roots. The stylist made lots of excuses-- 1. The air from the door you asked us to open for fresh air (it was very smelly) caused it to oxidize funny on that side. 2. Your hair was like that before and that's the best we can do. (it was not like that before, she colored it before, and it was another ugly blame it on the customer excuse) 3. You want it blonder so what we really need to do is get you back in here for some discounted highlights to cover that spot up and make it blend. Finally, after I explained that the other side looked pretty (even though it was much darker than I wanted) and that i wanted the two sides to at least look the same, she offered to add some highlights to both sides near my temples to make it better. It helped a little with the reddish/gold patch but the dark streak remained, now with a light streak in it. I don't like to argue with people, I don't appreciate talking to my stylist about how I want my hair to be and looking at color swatches, and then getting a lot of excuses when it doesn't come out well. It was smelly and stressful and I cannot afford to do anymore "fixing" to my hair as I have now spent 400$ on my hair in 3 months. I do not think I should have to pay for the fixit highlight option to make the top blend with the bottom. THAT should be free! I did not ask for and did not expect and was not told I would receive two-toned hair. I will unfortunately have to live with this mess until Christmas when I can afford to go somewhere else. I am hoping the dark under part of my hair will lighten with washing like she said it would. I think the quality of hair color and the excuses merit one star, but I gave an extra star because everyone was friendly nonetheless, and she did do a few highlights to make it better. Also, the red is mostly covered in the darker section. Update: I called management and another stylist fixed my hair, making it all the darker color. She did a very nice job, and the color is nice. However, the color has faded over the gray hairs significantly, making the gray parches noticeable and I never wanted this darker brown color. read more

After reading the reviews I decided to try it out. I am always skeptical when going to a new salon. I went and saw Lone, it was a slower Tuesday morning. The receptionist was very courteous and attentive. My stylist was ready before I thought she would be (a big plus to me as I usually arrive too early) She asked what I was wanting to do, I came in to fix a haircut I had previously had. She had some suggestions that were right on target for my own personal style. The color and cut came out wonderful! I was so happy to be taken care of so well and to have someone who paid attention to my particular style and didn't do just what I had asked. I bounced from one salon to another very upset about never finding a place that could cut my hair the way I liked. That search ended once I found Salon Dolche. Since then I've been back 3 times and loved the service and style each time. Their online reservation system is great too, convienent and fast. So far I've been to both salons (one on Hewitt AVE and one on Everett Mall Way). Both have their own charm and style. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. The girl who did it was really awkward and slow. What should have been maybe a 45 min endeavor took well over an hour. The "massage" was weak and she just globbed on the nail polish. Then I felt really rushed out of there and my nails were not dry, so of course they smudged. Very disappointed. I am notorious for not being loyal to one particular salon. Usually whoever can get me in same day get my buisiness. All that just changed. This place is great. I came in for a full foil and I havent been this satisfied with my hair in a loooong time. Sam did the color and its amazing. Riley ended up cutting and styling it ( my hair is super thick and long and the receptionist booked for a partial for short hair and Sams next appt came in) BUT I didnt mind. Riley did perfect on my hair and I will definatley be back in about 6 weeks. Looks great curled and straight. What more could a girl ask for??!?! read more

Thank you Becky for doing an excellent hair cut and color! Finally found someone that I can trust with my hair after years of searching. It is a little pricey but since I don't go the regular 4-6 weeks like lots of women do I can justify spending a little more per visit. Only a four star because when sitting in the chair processing I noticed there are scuff marks on lots of the walls, just looks like it needs a little touch-up and other hairstylist on their cell phones chatting- not really a relaxing experience listening to peoples conversations. read more

I set my girlfriend here to get her nails done again, she got the full package. She said it was really nice but almost felt like too much attention! Got a daily deal for this place and was glad I did, this is quite upscale and much nicer than I was expecting when I purchased the deal based solely on the price and the location. It did take forever to get an appt, but I guess they sold too many deals and I wanted a time where I could go with my friend on a weekend. We got pedicures and were pretty satisfied. Both of our clinicians were great and did an outstanding job. This is the kind of place where you need an appt rather than one where you can drop in when you feel like it. Seems like they do many other spa services as well, including hair. Front desk staff was wonderful as well and got me some delicious tea while I waited for my friend to join me. It was a teeny bit difficult to find if you don't know where you are going. My toes look fabulous and when I left my feet felt amazing. I only wish I had thought ahead to schedule a manicure as well. Prices were a bit higher than regular places, but the pedicure does include quite a bit more, we enjoyed a parrafin treatment, and even some heating stuff you apply to your temples which was quite entertaining. Very lovely little salon, if you've been to an Aveda salon before you know to expect excellence every time. The bar is set high and this salon meets all expectations I had. There is a large selection of high quality products - of which all the stylists are very knowledgable about and can help you find what suits you best. I'm not a frequent yelp reviewer but I just wanted to give a shoutout to Bella Dolche and in particular my stylist Kim. I am relatively new to the area and had been floundering a little looking for a hair salon I could call my own. I came with a basic idea of the cut and highlights that I wanted and she tailored it perfectly to what worked for me and my hair. I felt like she really listened to me and took her time to make sure my hair came out perfectly. I felt the price was very fair as well. I love going to Bell Dolche Salon & Spa, I took my husband there for a hair cut because he was very unhappy with the previous place, not listening to what he wanted. He was very impressed the second time that Becky even remembered how short he wanted it. Tonight we went for his first pedi, celebrating our anniversary and he loved it. Even got his nails painted, lol. Barbie does my eyebrows for me and does a great job. I have a small scar in my left eyebrow and when she's done you wouldn't even know it's there. Other places that have waxed my brows, have told me to just use a pencil to fill it in. I love these ladies, Becky and Barbie pamper me and I leave feeling just wonderful. My last haircut at this salon was absolutely horrible and terrifying! My hair was choppy and uneven afterwards. I went back later that day to have it fix but it wasn't fixed correctly. The ends were not blended and I had clumps that were longer than other areas. I specifically asked Rachel to re-check my hair to make sure it is all even. For what I paid I had expected a better haircut than if I went to Super Cuts. I had to go to another salon to have it cut properly and paid another $65! So infuriating but at least this new stylist did a fabulous job and she confirmed my hair was really choppy and uneven so I wasn't being unreasonable requesting that it get fixed. I will never use this salon again. I also did not appreciate the other hairstylist working in the next station making snide comments when I was just trying to get my hair cut evenly. So unprofessional! It should not be this difficult to have 3 inches trimmed straight across. I wasted time and money to get it done right! read more

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! Someone within this salon's company is mishandling their finances... I came to Bella Dolche because of a friend who recommended the place. It is very nice inside and appeared VERY clean and organized, a huge plus since a lack of cleanliness is normally what drives me away from nail places. In this case I did not even get to have my nails done as the reception staff was completely rude and unable to handle a mistake that they created. My partner called to make me an appointment here as a surprise and was asked if she wanted to pay over the phone. She agreed so that I would not have to worry about anything except enjoying the manicure. When I arrived at the salon I was told there was no record of my appointment being made OR of me paying. The receptionist said that I might be at the wrong location because there is often confusion with their Everett one. I confirmed with my partner that she scheduled at the Bothell one (the person over the phone stated "next to Safeway" and this is the only location next to a Safeway). The receptionist then began to ask every other co-worker if they took an appointment/payment. Everyone said no and she came back to me stating that without proof that I had paid they could not refund me. I had to ASK her to call the Everett location to see if proof of my payment was there. She called and asked them to check for it and they said they would call her back. She never indicated that this was a urgent issue. After waiting for over 15 minutes for a call back I decided to call the other salon myself to get a refund so I could leave. When I called that location I was told they could see my appointment, but had no record of the payment and to call a third location that has a different name, Bella Nails, which is also located in Everett. After hanging up with them I checked my bank account and found that a payment was deducted from Bella Dolche Salon & Spa NOT Bella Nails and that it was from the Everett Mall location which I had just called. I showed the bank record to the receptionist who stated that without the proof from the salon they were unable to refund me. Only after having to loudly question why they would not refund me even though my bank account clearly states I have a charge from them did they refund me. The entire process took OVER 45 MINUTES. I do not know what happened, but I will NEVER return to any of this companies establishments and would NEVER recommend anyone come here. read more

I have been working with Taylor for several years now and she's nothing short of amazing!!! I have really curly frizzy hair which makes it scary to dye or cut or do anything with. When I first met Taylor she was great at reassuring me about highlighting my hair and ended up making me look fabulous. I have had so many facials from London, Beverly Hills. Barbie is the best. My skin looks and feels great. Barbie is highly knowledgeable on skin and products. I think I have become a regular for Taylor Carlson. She's great, I had a pixie a year ago and we have been working to grow it out and give me a cut that works. Just last week she did a partial. I went in with an idea but was worried about my short hair. She came up with a great other option. I will continue to have Taylor do my hair. I like having someone who I can go to and say let just do something different and she will. Keep in mind this is not an inexpensive salon and they are strictly Aveda products. read more

Brought my low maintenance 13 year old in to Carmell for a much needed, long overdue haircut. My socially quiet teen left so happy and was full of smiles and praise for what Carmell did for her style! I watched her cut her long strands, giving it shape and body and was so impressed with her work. Didn't rush through--spent a lot of time to do a good job, actually. This may have been the happiest I've seen my daughter after leaving a salon! Bonus was that Carmell had good conversation skills with a very quiet young teenage girl. My daughter and I even talked about coming back to see Carmell for getting her hair done for formal events. I found this salon because they seem to do a lot of giving back to the community efforts. (Making Strides walk, gifting a day of beauty, raising money for earth day through raffle baskets, etc.) And they seem to be the only salon around that has a pricing level for teenage haircuts. So I figured I'd give them a try, plus they have a "first time client" discount so why wouldn't I? Carmell even gave me a return card for new clients, so I'll definitely be trying this salon for myself. Now at least I have a recommendation for my daughter's friends whose moms are like me and looking for a high quality salon that doesn't charge the high prices for a young teen. read more

I have tried multiple times throughout my life to have some shade of red in my hair and always came out looking like a clown. Kimberly knew exactly what I wanted (just a hint of red). The moment you walk through the door you feel welcome & that everyone is truly happy you are there. Ninyel & Julia are very welcoming, always with a smile & a warm greeting. Each experience at the salon is relaxing & rewarding but especially a facial by their Esthetician, Barbie, it's almost magical. I fully recommend the 60 or 90 minute session. The 30 minute treatment leaves you feeling like you absolutely need more time, so just jump in & go for the 60 minutes. You won't be sorry. After Barbie works on my face, including a wonderfully stress relieving head & neck massage as part of treatment & oh yeah a hand massage, I feel as if I'm glowing & that my skin has never felt better. She's extremely knowledgeable about the natural plant based products Aveda is known for. You will do as I do & return again & again. Fawn, one of the master stylists, is warm & wonderful. When I first put myself into her highly capable hands, I hadn't had anything done to my hair except have the split ends trimmed. My hair was quite long. I am so happy with the end result. We talked about my thoughts & then I picked her brain & together we came up with a plan. I love my hair. It's flattering & easy to care for, which is major in my world. I have been going to Bella Dolche Salon & Spa for about 2 years now, seeing Ann every time. (I've also recruited my husband and he loves getting his hair and beard trimmed by Ann!) I have nothing but great things to say about Ann and the salon- they have always been so welcoming from the first visit and I've never been disappointed in any of my hair cuts/highlights. I wanted to leave this review now, because I also booked Ann to do my bridal updo for my wedding last month. I booked Ann, Becky, Taylor, and Fawn to do my hair and make-up, and the hair and make-up for all my bridesmaids as well. As soon as we walked into the salon the morning of my wedding we were greeted with warm welcomes and refreshments- simply perfect for a nervous bride! Everyone had such a great time and all the stylists (and Ninyel -salon manager- who was there with us!) were incredibly sweet and did such a great job! I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up that day, and it all held so well throughout the night! All I did was show Ann and Becky (make-up artist) some pins on Pinterest at my trial appointment and they ran with it- doing an absolutely perfect job. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better salon to do my hair and make-up for my wedding, and would absolutely recommend them for regular hair appointments as well as bridal updos!
