We have lived here for almost 4 years now! We have loved our experience. The maintenance team is amazing. They do a great job at keeping the grounds clean and they respond very fast to maintenance requests. They always let you know at least a week in advance if they need to enter your apartment which is nice. The leasing office used to host monthly food trucks which I really liked! They stopped because I don't think enough people went but that was nice while it lasted. In our experience the leasing office does take a bit to respond to emails but we have never had any nightmare stories. I would absolutely recommend this apartment and I am very happy we were able to live here. read more

I loved the area. That's it honestly. This leasing company is awful to work with. They don't respond to emails, they don't answer calls, they have an hour lunch, so they're open for only 6 hours on weekdays and about 4 hours on Saturdays. They don't communicate unless they're forced to (aka going to the leasing office during their limited hours). The gates were always broken. The jacuzzi was broken for at least 6 months. I love the maintenance crew when they showed up. One time, I had a scheduled appointment that I waited around for, and they just didn't show up and cancelled it. I've been waiting outside my apartment because I've been locked out for over a hour. I keep getting told they're going to get updates or talk to a manager, and I don't blame the operators I believe them, but I blame management for leaving me outside for over an hour. I couldn't be put on hold for some reason while they called management. I couldn't get a call back for some reason. But when maintenance did show up, they were always helpful and kind. The only time the leasing office has replied quickly and frequently to me was when I made a request to vacate. I understand they manage other complexes here, but this is just terrible. Extremely disappointed in this company, would not rent from this company again. I solely stayed because I love Carlsbad. read more

My family and I moved to Pacific View Apartment Homes a year ago and loved living there. The people that work there are professional, kind and always respond in a timely manner. I read somewhere that someone accused Julie of being discriminative and racist.. ask anyone in the community and they'll tell you that she is the sweetest! Julie always makes time for a little chat and treated me and my family with kindness and respect. it's upsetting that people can hide behind a screen and write such nasty accusations. Anyway, if you are looking for a well kept and clean community with the kindest employees and a beautiful pool that feels like a resort + 24/7 gym this is a beautiful place to land. Again, I have to say that I live in a remarkable community. The Maintenance Department at Pacific View is awesome. Jose and Omar just left after doing me a tremendous favor. I have an extremely heavy sofa and I put in a request to have it moved away from the wall so I could vacuum. It's been a year. Last year to my horror there were cobwebs and lots of dust behind the sofa allowing spiders and what ever to make a home there. I'm guessing that most apartment communities wouldn't be so helpful. If you are looking for one of the most well managed and meticulous apartment complexes I've known, then you are all set. The two resort style pools and gym are what sold me! Then once living here, I was amazed at their maintenance team that attends to every need through a resident app. The team is very meticulous and timely. The office staff is very understanding and attentive. And the grounds and views are ideal. My personal suggestion is to get a unit with a private garage and on the top floor for the views and no noise from above you. read more

As a resident, I've found Julie, Jennifer, Jose and the rest of the team at Pacific View to be absolutely pro, friendly, responsive, understanding, and easy to work with. They are about as nonintrusive yet supportive as you can hope for in a landlord / renter situation. I have been calling the Pacific View apartments home for almost 3 years now. First, I want to express how very happy I have been living here. I have been living in gated apartment communities on and off for over 25 years now and nothing compares to the outstanding responsiveness, cleanliness, resort style pools, amenities and overall professionalism I have experienced at Pacific View. There are two beautiful pool/spa locations that are phenomenal. I always feel like I am at a luxury resort just with minimal guests. They are surreal. They are heated and very well maintained. The gym has all the state of the art equipment with several TV's to enjoy if you so desire. The property is pet friendly and has an environment conducive to a happy pet life. My sweet dog Lily can attest to that. The leasing office staff has been continuously great! In particular, Stephen and a Julie are top notch! Julie is always upbeat and friendly and knows just what to do and how to handle a request or escalation from end to end. Interacting with her, I can tell she has an abundance of property management knowledge enabling a thorough, positive and fast resolve to requests/issues. She always takes the time out of her busy day to see how I am doing when I see her. I echo those same comments about Stephen. He is also very friendly, warm, super knowledgeable and ensures he thoroughly hears any requests or issues I have with patience and then prompt updates and ultimately, resolve execution. The office also communicates property maintenance repairs and community updates via text and email so we are always kept up to date on the latest happenings. When I have a maintenance request, I am in awe of how quickly and professionally they are managed from logging onto the maintenance request portal to request a repair to its finish. Edgar, Omar, Jose and Ivan are the "Fab Four" of the Pacific View maintenance team. I have interacted with each of them and they are all professional and kind when they arrive at my residence. They immediately take care of fixing/repairing whatever I have requested in a very timely expert fashion. Lastly, I believe Pacific View/Irvine Company cares about ensuring their residents a wonderful home and environment to live in as testament from my comments above. They also keep on top of building and pool renovations, well manicured landscaping/trees and overall community updates ensuring they continue to stay a wonderful place to call home. read more

This is an awesome property with incredible views of Agua Hedionda and the ocean. You can watch boats and jets skis from many of the units. My unit has an unobstructed view of the ocean from the master which makes it easy to enjoy the sunset each day. The pool and fitness area are always very clean making you feel like you are staying at a five star resort. The location is super close to many Carlsbad businesses which is also nice avoiding the need to get on the freeway. Overall I give this a five star rating for being the nicest complex I have seen in Carlsbad. read more

This was the greatest place I have ever lived and we lived there for 3 years. I moved out knowing I would come back in a few months after some COVID transitions in life. Everything was kept nice and clean, my service requests were always handled in a timely fashion and everyone at the front office was wonderful. My experiences with Kelsey upon move in, Christian with my move out, and all of the staff was great, everyone was so nice and helped however they could! They do a phenomenal job for such a large and luxurious complex. The nature of these complexes are a lot of people which creates some variability. Nonetheless, I recommend this place and look forward to moving back if I ever get the chance. read more

Where to even begin. It is such a let down with the experience we had living here. We should have known from some of the beginning stages and red flags. To begin, we had set our move in date for a time that we were on vacation. This was the only time we could set the move in date, as the company was not budging for a move in date a few days out. Due to this, we had 48 hours to turn in our move in inspection for it to be valid. Safe to say, we did not even have access to the unit yet, since we were over seas. So our move in inspection was never filled out, and was not able to be turned in. Next, the complex is crawling with spiders and cockroaches. We had signed up for the weekly bug exterminator to come out and spray the outside of the unit. If I recall, it was every Tuesday. The guy came once. We had lived here for only 3 months, and the entire time we spent living with the bugs. They also have a terrible rat problem. We had rat droppings throughout our back porch, and behind our porch wall. Safe to say, we NEVER used the patio. We informed the team about the rodents, and nothing was done. Just a simple, "I am sorry, we should look into that." The final cherry on top is the noise. This is the reason we broke our lease. If you love hearing every footstep of your neighbor, live here! It is enough to drive you crazy, and break your lease! Our upstairs neighbor was a lunatic. We had made noise complaints, as due to what the office told us, and the lady came behind our patio, screamed at us, proceeded to run back up the stairs, and then jump on her floor/our ceiling. It seems to us that Pacific View lets anyone rent one of their units, so you live among some interesting people. Keep in mind, that we made 8 noise complaints, with video evidence, and all management does is send a little letter that goes on their door. So if you want to live in a noisy unit, with crazy neighbors, move into building 5146! They will make sure to keep you up at night, and have their children screaming at all hours of the day. Not to mention you personally getting screamed at if you send a complaint. After we decided to break the lease, as we were losing our minds living here, we got completely screwed by the company. Keep in mind we lived here for 3 months. Not only did they take our entire security deposit ($1,450) they also charged us on top. So in total, we owed over $7,000 to break the lease. The company showed no remorse for our living situation, and basically just said "Sorry to see you go, but can I shake your hand on the way out?" We feel that we got scammed. No one should have to live in these living conditions, and yet the company does not even try to find a solution. As renters of apartments for many years now, I have never lived in a complex with such poor management and neighbors. For $3,500 a month, you can live somewhere much nicer, with a community that actually cares about its residents. Please save your money and sanity, and do not live here. read more

This complex is awful!! It looks beautiful on the outside but the staff does absolutely nothing to help you if you have a maintenance request or need something fixed. Things break constantly. Sink, garbage disposal, dryer. And there are cockroaches all over this community!! I've had 3 in my apartment and 1 crawl out of the drain while my 3 year old was taking a bath! He still has nightmares. Save yourself the money and do not live here! Also there is NO insulation in the walls!
