We came here because it was highly recommended as a place to visit in Buckeye, but it didn't meet expectations. The building is old, which is fine it actually gives it character and charm inside. The issue is that it doesn't feel well maintained. The floors were dirty, and the bathrooms were also not clean, which took away from the overall experience. Customer service was nice. The lady with black hair who helped us was very friendly, and honestly, she made the experience a bit better. I almost feel bad pointing this out, but even small details stood out like her shoes looking dirty, not worn out, just not clean. I ordered the chile relleno, and it was my first time having it with red sauce. Not a big deal, but the sauce was surprising. It tasted more like Taco Bell sauce than an actual chile-based sauce. It definitely didn't resemble a chile colorado or anything close to a New Mexico or Anaheim chile flavor. The consistency was thick, more like a barbecue sauce, very similar to those packet sauces. The portions are big, which is a plus, but the flavor just isn't there. Overall, customer service is good, the building has charm, but the cleanliness is an issue, and the food doesn't stand out. I ordered the chicken plate and one side of the chicken was browned and salty the other side was almost raw, so I imagine the chicken preboild then put on the grill on just one. Asked for a bake potato instead of fries and butter the put on it was almost as big the potato, no sour cream, graded cheese or chives. And who serves beans with fries or potato. Love this place I been coming here for awhile now and every time we come here the food is always good the restaurant has its own ambience theme of western style the food is Good and the waiters are always nice and friendly and very prompt and professional it's very affordable and the restaurant is always clean the bathroom is always stocked with hand soap and paper towels. I don't know how this place gets good reviews. When we are in the Buckeye area we usually go to Nana's down the street, but yesterday we wanted to try something new for breakfast, a steakhouse that was open for breakfast sounded perfect. We walked in and the place was empty, they had picture menus on the wall with walk up ordering, which is fine. I was really in the mood for steak and eggs and saw they had steak ranchero so I ordered that. My buddy ordered the chicken plate. We sat down and got our chips and salsa. Chips were very good!!!! Salsa was fine, wish it had a little more heat. As we waited we say a couple members of the Buckeye FD come in and pick up a to go order, that brought confidence that the food would be good. We waited for close to 30 minutes in an empty restaurant before our food came out. My beans were cold. I didn't try the rice. My steak was cooked well done and flavorless. I dumped the rest of the salsa on my steak then poured in some Tapatio to give it flavor. Usually grilled onions, peppers and steak are awesome, but this was flavorless. My buddy said his chicken was good. About 3/4 through my breakfast I had to go to the restroom. One look in there and That killed my appetite. I am fine with things that are run down/old as long as they are clean. I've seen truck stop restrooms cleaner. I lost my appetite and told my buddy, "don't go in the restroom." He looked at me and said , "I'm done, let's go." We tried something new, I really wanted this place to be good but the menu wasn't super impressive, I don't know if I bought an actual steak if it would have been any better. But the cleanliness bathroom ruined it. I hope the owners see this and send a hazmat crew in to scrub that restroom from ceiling to floor.
