    Reuben without sauerkraut

My wife and i got drive through today and there was a mistake on the order. We didnt notice until we got home, but when we called in about the mistake (reuben didnt have sauerkraut) the super helpful Nicky (or maybe Mickie) helped us fix the situation. Great service and handling.

    California Chicken Avocado Flatbread

I've traveled many miles for this delicious place. Schlotzky's is the 1st restaurant I've tried that has California Chicken Avocado Flatbread. I must say, this has been my secret favorite for years!! When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly cashier and the place was very clean. My sister purchased their signature French Dip Sandwich and she pleased with the size of the sandwich. She showed many smiles because the dip sauce was heated to her liking. With all this being said, Yes you should come here. There are over 10 different sandwiches and flatbread selections. Our intentions were to order the food to go, but once we took a bite, we had no choice but to dine in. Good job Schlotzsky's.

Not since I lived and worked in Columbus, OH, had I eaten at a Schlotzsky's for lunch. Eating the sandwich brought back memories of eating in a cubicle at Nextel. They were doing sour dough bread long before it was so fashionable as it is now. We decided to split a Turkey Orginal Sandwich minus the olives and salami. They use a "lite" mayo which is helpful for us that count calories. The bread was awesome. We both really loved it. If you never been here, the sandwiches are comparable to McAllister's or Panera Bread. We both enjoyed our half sandwich very much. The soups were a different story. She went with the Broccoli Cheddar and I selected the Tomato Bisque. Her Broccoli Cheddar had a good flavor but she said the consistency was very thin like water. She ate almost half her soup. I had to wait for the tomato soup to be heated up and I ate about three spoonfuls and tossed in the towel. It didn't taste good to me. We saw quite a bit of "to go" business both drive thru and carry out. I would come back for another sandwich sometime. The dining room is classier than the usual you are use to and they do have outdoor seating for warmer weather.

Ordered the turkey sandwich, chips and drink. Food was tasty. Love that they have decaf Diet Coke on the drink station. Dining room looked like it could use a good cleaning. Visited a bit after 11. I was one of three customers. Seemed to have plenty of staff behind the counter. I will visit again because I do enjoy the food and it was adequate for the price.

This place is terrible. I had a $20 coupon from Xooker so my husband and I came in and ordered sandwiches and a vegetable soup. Sandwiches are highly overpriced for what they are. This was some of the lowest quality lunch meat I've ever had. The bread is very weird, maybe it appeals to someone, but not me. And the veggie soup was worse than a can of Campbell's. I will not consider coming back.

Someone sent us boxed Schlotzsky's meal for lunch. It was a sandwich, bag of lays chips, cookie, pickle spear and a mint. I had the original which was 2 very thin slices of ham, 2 very thin slices salami with 2 very thin slices of tomato a sprinkle of shredded lettuce. Cheese was melted onto the bun which warmed the meats. The sandwich had a good taste but it was not enough meat and fillings to bread ratio.

As I was driving from Columbus, OH, to Bowling Green, KY, I stopped for lunch at Schlotzsky's in Lexington. I had not been to this particular restaurant since I was a student at UK back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, so I decided to stop in for a quick sandwich. The restaurant is in a commercial area of Nicholasville Road bordering on Man-O-War Blvd, so take that into consideration when trying to find it. Parking is easy, but it's the typical strip mall parking lot with people coming in and out from the main road and no one really watching where they're going. The restaurant itself lacked a little on the cleanliness, but I decided to stay after I walked in and looked around. I chose the cleanest table I could find, but even it had a bit of stickiness to it. I ordered a sandwich and chips with a drink, and it came out pretty quickly. However, I remembered their sandwiches being somewhat larger than what I got, and the taste, though good, was nothing great. There was a steady stream of customers coming and going for the half hour or so that I was there, and it's obvious that this is a place that many people go to for their lunch hour on weekdays. Will I stop in again when I travel through Lexington? Who knows. If I'm alone and want a quick sandwich, possibly. But it seems a little too close to fast food to me.

Medium corned beef Reuben. Super good!

I historically never go to Schlotzsky's because, in the words of my mother, "they have hard bread." But I've recently been in the Tiverton area a lot, and I figured I would give it a shot with my little family. I have to say, I've been impressed. I've been leaning really heavily toward anything with "smokecheezy" in the name, and have once deviated and tried their Reuben. In any of the cases, I have not been disappointed. And the bread isn't hard, it's toasted. That's called "texture." Have to also comment on their macaroni and cheese. We ordered it once for our (at the time) 2 year old, and this stuff is LEGITNESS. Giant noodles, oven-baked goodness. You can even get it with brisket baked into it. Trust me, this is a decision you won't soon regret. Well, unless you're lactose intolerant, and then still not for at least a few hours.

Elite. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly messy. The kind of sandwich that requires extra napkins and zero shame. It's hands down the best Italian beef we've had around here. We also ordered a chili dog and the tallow fries. Let me just say: these were the best fries I have ever eaten in my life. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, perfectly salted...and you absolutely do NOT need ketchup. In fact, ketchup would just get in the way of their glory. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. It's a small dining area but we were able to get a table. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, and I would've waited 40. Totally worth it. If you like bold flavors, no-frills vibes, and food that makes you consider canceling your other dinner plans for the week, this is your spot.
