Bellagreen is the new branding for Ruggles Green which is favorite healthy spot in Houston. It has now opened in vintage park. This location doesn't have a lot of personality, but it has the same great menu you are use to at Ruggles Green. I had a turkey burger with quinoa salad. I enjoyed it. I thought the burger was a little dry. I should have asked for more mustard. The price was a little higher than what I like to pay for a burger at lunch, but that is usually how it goes with healthier food. I was able to sit outside on their patio which was nice. This place has great food and excellent service. The manager was very attentive and friendly and made us feel important, which also carried over with the waitstaff and employees. Very impressed by this place! So many clean eating options! I had the spicy fish tacos with a mango salsa that did not disappoint. Perfectly spicy and very tasty. Followed by an incredibly delicious slice of gluten free carrot cake. The manager Sydney went above and beyond making an extra effort to be helpful and kind. All the staff was exceptional and cared about our dining experience. Highly recommend to anyone, especially if you are gluten free, paleo or have a special diet. Came here for lunch with some girlfriends and it was better than I expected. I had the goat cheese salad with grilled chicken and it was AMAZING. I love goat cheese salads but usually the grilled chicken at other places is rubbery and just doesn't taste right. Well not here, the chicken was cooked perfectly! Loved the atmosphere, the food came out quickly and we all loved our orders. We also shared the spinach dip, one friend had the Oh Kale Yeah and the other Turkey Burger and they were all gone. The atmosphere is great. Food the first time took forever to come out, and they didn't seem to care all that much. But as a parent of two small children I care, bc kids are not the most patient tony humans. 2nd experience went 10x better so I believe the first experience to be a fluke. My wife and I both got paninis. I got the turkey meatball panini and she got the cheesesteak panini. When the food came out and I saw her panini, my first thought was "Where's the beef!!" It was basically a few shavings in a ball of re-solidified cheese in a dry roll. Both sandwiches were not on panini bread. They were made with standard sandwich rolls, and they were very dry. My sandwich had plenty of meatballs but it was flavorless. When we showed the manager there was hardly any beef in my wife's sandwich, he said that's the amount of meat it's supposed to come with........3 oz. Stumbled upon the newest location of this little gem today while visiting with family. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I had the Oh Kale Yeah! I'm not much for 'healthier choices' simply because of America and the great opportunity that calls itself Fast Food that is meticulously placed at every corner and crevice of this country. Soon after I found out I was pregnant, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place, simply because I read online they have all natural caffeine-free root beer as a choice option for soda. Literally soda was all it took.. We ordered the high-protein hempenadas, the spicy shrimp pasta and the spicy fish tacos, and my GOD, if you didn't believe in the higher power, you do now! Walking in to the restaurant feels like you're walking in to a life-sized terrarium, only no soil on the ground. It is very eclectic, almost like an upscale steakhouse and a little shabby chic brewery had a baby. There's no rush to order, the menus are readily at your disposal hanging on the half wall when you enter, take all the time you need because the people behind you will be doing the same thing; reading every intricate detail of the weirdest combinations of food that's been prayed over and scarified for to join together in holy matrimony just to create the perfect marriage of flavors. (side note, there's raisins in the hempenadas ... wasn't my first choice but holy shihza you'll thank me later). Fast forward a few weeks and I'm stuck at work, a good 15 minutes from this shrine, and I'm craving (don't forget, I'm pregnant) those spicy fish tacos! I placed an order on Door Dash for spicy fish tacos, a side of sweet potatoes fries and corn chowder. I threw in a little chocolate cake to knock my sweet tooth and begged (for forgiveness as well) for the largest slice of chocolate cake because I was eating for two. Mind you, I'm 120lbs and 16 weeks pregnant, not yet at full term whale. The delivery guy shows up looking like Saint Nicholas with the largest to-go bag he could possibly find and immediately congratulates me on my pregnancy! Even the super fly delivery guy took the time to read through the comments and he even made sure my food order was correct on my receipt as it was on my door dash request! Where do these Heaven sent foodie angels come from?! So he leaves, I scurry back to the kitchen to whip out these sweet serendipitous little fish tacos and what did the restaurant of Jesus and His disciples decide to do for this mom-to-be? They took "eating for two" as "eating for an army and don't forget the shoe shiners". Two. TWO huge slices of cake and the food I requested times 10! Went in for brunch last Sunday. Prices on the menu are very reasonable, but unfortunately the food wasn't anything that I'd ever want again. When looking at the menu the crab and avocado omelet sounds fantastic, but when it was brought out the avocado was mostly brown and dark. The most upsetting aspect of the dish is that the "crab", which there wasn't even much of to begin with, was the cheap imitation crab. Additionally, we ordered the classic brunch dish, Eggs Benedict which we were expecting to be delicious and beautiful. Instead we received such a sad looking Eggs Benny in which the poached eggs were way overcooked, the hollandaise (if you could even call it that) was thin and just about dried onto the overcooked eggs, and the potatoes were just saturated in oil. Biggest stand out was the Carafe of Mimosas, but the OJ came from a store bought bottle so I can't give 'em too much credit for that one. Staff was nice, but a poor experience food wise. read more
