Enjoying a very hot weekend conference at the Lake Las Vegas resort. It is a good 35 minutes outside the city and around an old mirage development at Lake Las Vegas. This was a novel idea but the area is very dated. It is located in Henderson, Nevada. With limited entertainment support in the area, we were eager to find a local gelato spot rather than driving back to the city. The creamy consistency was nice but the flavor lacked a real intensity. I had to HOOVER the scoop due to the sweltering heat. My gelato was quickly becoming a liquid treat. BellaLinda Gelato has a captive crowd at Lake Las Vegas. The gelato was decent and packed with a huge quantity of pistachios. It was a really cold night, but I'd been wanting to check this place out for a while. I'm glad we went. We enjoyed our lavender hot chocolate & they were the perfect temperature because they were warm & comforting, but not too hot. You know how sometimes you have to wait a bit to enjoy a hot drink because you just know it'll burn your taste buds? That wasn't the case here, so that was nice. I didn't try the gelato this time, but it looked great. I saw plenty of people enjoying it despite the cold. The shop itself is small with limited indoor seating, so on warmer days I'd probably enjoy it outside (with the lake view) or get it to go. We're LLV residents and we support The Village businesses as much as possible. Every time we've been to BellaLinda in the past two years of living here (and many more before that) it's been a great experience of great quality and friendly service. Tonight, Celeste (she's helped us multiple times) was by herself and had many customers due to an event. She handled the line very professionally but every other times we've been in there, there were two people working because of the event. She did great but I felt bad she didn't have and help and we had to wait longer which was not her fault. She explained how it's traditionally made with vanilla ice cream but suggested a few other gelato options like Tiramasu and the Coffee flavor. They were both amazing but I chose the coffee on coffee.
