What is considered the best buffet on the Strip, Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace lives up to the hype. Everything served is top tier and expertly prepared from the hot entree dishes, desserts and soups. You will want to try everything here but it's almost impossible. Even with my one scoop or single serving I was not able to try everything I wanted. The standouts of course is their seafood selections of lobsters claws, snow crab, shrimp, clams, mussels and prawns. Their meat selection as well from prime rib, steamboat, chicken, and porchetta will overwhelm you with all the choices. This is definitely a must try for any buffet lovers who love variety of expertly prepared offerings. Let's get the price over with, it's $100 pp. But for that price (in Vegas) you get unlimited Lobster claws, stone crab, snow crab, oysters Rockefeller, scallop crudo, mussels, clams, nigiri sushi, shrimp, tender braised short ribs, roasted bone marrow, birria tacos with consommé, risotto, gnocchi, ube horchata, coconut horchata, and much much more. I was really looking forward to this buffet based on the countless people who have told me this is the best buffet in Vegas and that they offered several food options (the most out of all the Vegas buffets). Because of this feedback, my expectations were really high (which may have been the downfall). I made a reservation as recommended by others but we still had to wait in line, probably 15-20 mins. The host who sat us was really nice and explained all the different food sections to me since I told her this was my first time here. Our server took awhile to get to us. We waited 5-10 mins and no one came to take our drink order like the host had said so me and my partner got up to get food. When we came back with our food, the server finally came to take our drink order. Overall, she was very nice and friendly. At the beginning, she was pretty quick at clearing our table and plates once we were done however towards the end, we had at least 5 plates stacked up and she was no where to be found. It took her awhile to fill up our drinks also. My partner drinks a lot of water so he was constantly waiting for his water to be refilled which was kind of annoying. What sucks is you pay before you are seated and they ask upfront how much you want to tip your server. I thought that was odd because we didn't know Who would be our server or how good their service would be. I tipped the standard 20% and I honestly wouldn't have tipped that amount with the server we had but at least now I know not to tip upfront. On to the food...it was mediocre at best. I was really excited about all the meats like prime rib, brisket, etc. We tried prime rib, brisket, steamship, chicken, ribs, and I have to say the meats I tried were dry and tasteless. They were super soft and melt in your mouth but just dry. They weren't moist or juicy. Those were actually my least favorite. My favorite foods came from the Mexican station: Spanish rice, fish tacos, asada tacos - all of those were super flavorful and restaurant quality! I also loved the Filipino food - lechon and lumpia were so delicious! The sushi was pretty disappointing; there were only 3 different sushi rolls which was shocking to me. My buffet in my local town has more sushi options than that. The Chinese food was mediocre...my favorite dish was the salt and pepper frogs (probably my top three dish there!). The crab legs were also pretty good, meaty, and sweet. I'd say come here if you love crab legs and will eat a lot of it then it would be worth the $100 price. The desserts were also pretty good. My favorite was the cookie and chocolate molten cake. Overall, the food was good but not worth the $100 price tag (for me). In my opinion, this place is overrated. Bacchanal is one of our favorite buffets in Vegas. Price is competitive and the Seafood and desserts are quality. I also like their brisket and a few things at the international stations. I do think a lot of the food looks like it has been sitting for a bit and does not seem fresh. But the important stuff is good! Service is usually friendly and attentive. The food was not worth the price in my opinion. Some of the meats were difficult to slice and chew. The crab legs were better quality than I expected but the saltiness ruined it for me. I saw people standing in line for the crab legs so perhaps that's the main reason people visit this buffet. Two crab legs were sufficient for me as I felt that eating more would be too much sodium for such little crab meat. I tried various items like bone marrow and poke thinking they would be solid options, but something about the flavor was off. Wow... there were SO many options! I was completely overwhelmed when I walked in. We only had 90 minutes to eat, and it went by so fast. Before grabbing any food, I walked around the entire buffet first to strategize what I wanted to eat. I started with the heavier items, like the prime rib and other rich dishes, before moving on to the seafood. The prime rib was incredibly juicy and tender--I absolutely loved it! They also have a great selection of Asian dishes. The chili shrimp was one of my favorites, and I went back for it more than once. The crab legs were thoughtfully scored, making them much easier to crack open. It definitely helped! Out of all the seafood, I loved the steamed crab the most. I also tried the made-to-order risotto. The flavor was good, but it was a little too thick because they added too much meat. The ratio of meat, rice, and sauce felt a bit unbalanced, so the texture ended up being heavier than I prefer. The dessert selection was just as impressive, with so many choices! Overall, everything was very good. I especially loved the made-to-order crepes. I ordered the Bananas Foster crepe with Nutella on the side, plus a scoop of ice cream. I also had my favorite lava cake, which was delicious. The crème brûlée was good too--the sugar topping was still perfectly crisp. A few dishes didn't stand out to me. The ceviche was a little too sour with a strong vinegar flavor, so I think it's best enjoyed with chips. The tacos were okay--not bad, but nothing memorable. One thing I noticed was that I couldn't find a basic dinner roll. They had cheese cornbread, garlic knots, Yorkshire pudding, and several sliced breads, but no plain dinner rolls. The only dessert I wouldn't recommend was the boba-style dessert. It just wasn't very good. If you're craving boba, I'd skip it and get a real milk tea with boba somewhere else. Overall, Bacchanal buffet was very good. The variety is incredible, the high quality for buffet, and it's a fun experience. Just be sure to come hungry. P.S. I went to Las Vegas to celebrate my birthday weekend. I took my girlfriend and her parents to the Buchan all buffet. They definitely have a wide variety of seafood and meat, and there is a lot of food to choose from, such as Korean, Filipino, American, and Italian; there are also a lot of desserts. I highly recommend this place because there is a wide variety of good food, and also different selections. It is a little bit more on the pricey side, but it's an unlimited buffet. I paid about $480. When we came here, the service was really busy. There were a lot of people, so please be patient with the waiters and waitresses. The ambience is definitely a high-end buffet restaurant, very fancy, with lots of seafood things on display outside of it, especially inside Caesar's Palace hotel. This used to be my favorite buffet back in the days (at least 10 years ago). I must've been to Bacchanal maybe 4-5 times in the past, and since then, I haven't found my way back until this week, at least 10 years later. Partly because I grew out of my interest of buffet and cannot eat like when I was young anymore, partly because I don't really go to Vegas much anymore. However, this week I found my way back in Vegas for the week and my party of 4 booked a table for 445pm on a Monday. I wanted an early dinner but book a day before so there wasn't an option for 5pm. You book via Opentable. Once we got to our table, we hit the buffet right away. Bacchanal still offers tons of options, and it was so crowded for a Monday night, I was very surprised. I had prime ribs (very good), cold crab legs and cold lobster claws. I also had their sashimi scallop which was also good. Their cocktail shrimp was not good and the cold cajun shrimp was mushy almost (meaning the shrimp was not fresh when cooked). Very disappointed. I ate a decent amount of protein, so I was almost full already and tried tiny bites of everything else (part of the reason why I don't do buffets anymore, cannot eat that much like the youngsters!). I have to say, the rest was pretty disappointed. I tried the followings: - Pho broth soup - salty and the anise flavor and other flavor was too strong - Pizza - hard/dry and no flavor - Dim-sum like hargow - the shrimp inside was delicious but the tapioca dough was super dry and fell off right away. - Eggroll - mushy - Orange chicken/mayo walnut shrimp - dry - Beets salad - too sweet - Lamp - dry, meh - Brisket - dry - Pork belly - sweet and dry - ceviche - Aokay - I found most of their meat with sauce was overly sweet Desserts - still great, though, I tried the mochi donut, it was too sweet and too doughy. what I really liked was the lava chocolate cake, matcha strawberry cake, cream brûlée, and the gelato/sorbet. Oh the lemon tart bar was also very good. Overall, I'm glad I tried it again, it helped solidify my decision not to come back again, it's not worth it anymore. I made an 8:45 p.m. reservation through OpenTable for a party of two, but when we arrived around 8:35, we still waited almost 30 minutes to be seated. I understand they were waiting for tables to be cleaned, but for the price of about $94 per person after tax, I expected better communication while we waited. By the time we were seated, we had less than an hour before the buffet closed, which made the experience feel a little rushed. That being said, the food absolutely delivered. We came for the seafood, and the snow crab legs, shrimp, and lobster were excellent. I also loved that every dish was clearly labeled with its ingredients, making it easy to know exactly what you were getting. I'm a big snow crab person and I know they're relatively expensive so I started with that three plates of that first. I then moved onto some brisket, which was tender, although extremely fatty. They had these incredible potatoes which I had a little bit of and some mac & cheese topped with bacon and chives. And of course, I went right back to nibbling the crab. My favorite part of the meal was probably the bananas foster crapes as they were made in front of you and warm and not too sweet. They also have these specific crêpes at the Wynn buffet as well. One of my favorite tricks is to ask anyone who works there what their favorite items are as they probably have tried everything and also give you a more holistic perspective. It's 20% off Friday through Sunday if you reserve in the time slot of 9-10:30am, we got in very quickly so everything was super fresh! I was only sad they did not have fresh oysters but the crab was excellent (snow crab I think and they put the crushing tools on the table but no tiny forks so was difficult lol, too much else to eat for me to stop and ask). They had fresh bacon but a little overlooked. Surprisingly more texmex brunch than anything else but I did love and start with their dim sum and sushi. I finally checked out the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, and it definitely lives up to the hype. None of us had been before, and we were blown away by how massive it is. There are so many different stations and cuisines that it's almost overwhelming--in the best way. We found ourselves spending most of our time at the seafood stations, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The quality matched the variety, and we definitely got our money's worth. That said, it's a lot of food. For us, it felt more like a fun experience than somewhere we'd want to eat regularly. I've been to Bacchanal Buffet a couple of times now. I actually reviewed it about nine years ago and gave it 3 stars. Looking back, I probably should have given it 5 stars because after this recent visit, I feel like the food selection, food quality, and overall service have really gone downhill. First, waiting in line is never fun, whether you have a reservation or not--especially when you're hungry. Once I got inside, walking around and deciding what to eat felt surprisingly discouraging. I remember when the presentation of the food was much more impressive and everything felt high quality. Now, it just feels like a typical buffet. The employees working the made-to-order stations also weren't very friendly and gave off more of a cafeteria worker vibe than a high-end buffet experience. There were still a few highlights. I really enjoyed the made-to-order seafood pasta from the pasta station, the prime rib, and the crab legs (although the line was incredibly long since they no longer let you serve yourself). The ube horchata was amazing and is a must-try. And the dessert section was by far the best part of the buffet. Every dessert I tried was delicious. On the downside, the sushi section was honestly sad to look at, the dim sum station was disappointing, and the Mexican food didn't taste authentic at all. The seafood selection also felt limited. For the price you're paying, only serving lobster claws instead of full lobster tails is pretty disappointing. Overall, I don't think Bacchanal Buffet is worth the price anymore. I had to repost my review, since it was deleted by Yelp. I thought this would be one of the highlights of my trip but it wasn't. When you make a reservation, it's to stand in line only. I know it sounds ridiculous. You stand in line for about half an hour until you actually pay. The staff that was checking in people was rude. After you pay, you have to wait another half an hour just to be seated. After we got seated, we had a very nice server that went above and beyond. The meat table was awful. The meat was incredibly dry like it was well done. Too chewy and no flavor. The seafood was decent, not great. It'll do if you want to eat your money back. Looking back at my pictures, there were more misses than hits here. Highlights would be the desserts and drinks. Look at my picture with the ube (purple) drink. Yeah, those drinks are all delish. We wanted our kids to experience a true Las Vegas buffet, so we chose the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace. We had a reservation, which made things easy, and only waited a few minutes before being seated. The buffet itself is massive and honestly a bit overwhelming in the best way. There is truly something for everyone. I'd recommend doing a full walk around first before grabbing a plate so you can get a sense of everything available and make a plan, otherwise it's easy to miss sections you'll wish you had saved room for. We were given a 90 minute window, but it didn't feel rushed at all. Our server who brought drinks was friendly. The seafood section was a standout, especially the crab legs which seemed to go on forever. The Asian station was also very good. The kids really enjoyed exploring everything, but the clear favorite for them was the dessert section, which wasn't surprising at all. As expected with kids, my son didn't quite eat enough to justify the price, but he still loved the experience of it all. My mom was a little disappointed that they didn't have steamed lobster. The Asian food side was so good, and I'm so mad i didn't get a chance to capture that. I was staying at Ceasars Palace and we had just arrived and had made reservations a couple days earlier on Open Table. We got there right on our reservation time so we were able to wait in line. I'd assume if you didn't get a reservation it would be even longer. Also if you have a higher ceasars rewards status you can also stand in a shorter line. Since our reservation was a couple hours before closing the regular line took about 30-45mins to get seated. There isn't really any place to sit while waiting so if someone in your party cannot stand for long periods make sure to flag a staff member and they will have them sit while waiting for your turn in line. The buffet is great. Lots of crab legs, lobster and shrimp. Lots of carved meats. A great selection of cuisine from around the world and even some dim sum and sushi. The desserts are also great. This is one of the best buffets on the strip and the price is still worth it even with the elevated price tag since the quality of the dishes is above average and almost the same quality if you ordered the dishes individually. Omg! We went in hungry and left in a food coma back to our rooms for a break. The crab legs were calling my name I just had to go back for more. Everything tasted fresh... the group of friends that were with us were great! I'm not a big buffet person but we will absolutely come back to this place. There were so many good food options every time I thought I was done I found something else to try and The deserts we're dangerous! I was well over my 90 mins, and it was super busy still, the staff was really nice they didn't kick me out during my duration for the dinner buffet on a busy weekend. I noticed the quality of their juices went down, at the Wynn Buffet, AYCE Palms is way better. Even though Bacchanal Buffet misses the mark on their food quality, it is nice to see that they're still super busy and thriving. From the Google rating I had low expectations but boy were they exceeded. When we couldn't get a reservation for Wynn buffet or Wicked Spoon, my husband suggested this from Reddit...so glad we did!! Got a reservation for 10:30 am for the two of us morning of at like 8am-ish and we got there around 10 and there was no line so we got right in. Perfect timing with not too many people to get in your way. So many selections, all delicious!! The chia item was surprisingly very good, they even had beeswax near the fruit!! Every cuisine, even Filipino!! My husband is Filipino and he met his approval. My husband loved the cute bite-sized spam musubi as did I. My fav was probably the lox and bagel, great presentation and very tasty!! My only disappointment is that after a few plates I was done and only got to a fraction of everything. Lots of yummy drinks and juices of all kinds! A bit on the pricey side but it was very clean, well maintained and everyone was very nice and again very delicious food!! Great service. $100 is a pretty hefty price tag but I think the quality and variety at this buffet speaks for itself! This was my second time dining here so I already somewhat knew what I was going to get. It's super spacious inside and is the biggest buffet I've ever been to. Our server was sooo nice and kept checking in on us because I few of us went a little too hard at the day club so we weren't feeling too great... Anyways onto the food! The steamed crab legs were a bit salty but still so delicious, especially dipped in the warm butter. They loaded up my plate so much! My absolute favorite was the prime rib. It was so perfectly cooked and juicy. My friends and I just kept coming back for more because it was so good. Aside from these most bang for your buck items, my goal this time around was to try as much as I could of the foods I would like! I love how many different cuisines they have, and how accurate the food actually is to tasting authentic, from the pho noodle soup to the birria tacos. There's definitely something there for everyone. There were also so many dessert options, but I was already so stuffed and didn't really get much, but the lychee gelato and tiramisu were both really good! For drinks, I tried the ube horchata and the thai tea, which were both creamy, sweet, and delicious! Both would have tasted even better over ice but were still amazing on its own. I haven't tried the other buffets in Vegas yet but this one was so good last time that it warranted another visit from me and I was not disappointed! read more
