Even though I had a good experience with getting tires, everything else has been a disaster. 1: Why have free air when none of them work? 2: Asked how long would it take to check tire pressures and add air. Here's where it gets really, when I asked about the repairs, I was told, " we can fix your tires but the first opening was 3 weeks away". I purchased tires from this Belle Tire last year about this time. Great experience then. I managed to hit a median turning and damaged 2 of my tires! (My fault I know) When I called at 5:00 I told them my tire is losing air VERY fast and was told they couldn't promise to fix it at that time due to closing in an hour and asked if I could bring it the next morning. I explained I won't have a tire the next morning and was told if I can make it there I can drop it off and they will look at it first thing next morning. DEAL! I also inquired about needing rotors and doing a brake inspection. What I thought was an issue turned out is not vital BUT discovered my rear brakes were about gone (which I was told they were going last year during an oil change elsewhere) so I knew he was right. Don was wonderful with working with me to figure out what combination was best for my car and my budget. I will say I did add the warranty on my tires this time! I never needed it before but after this expense within a year of getting new tires it has to be worth it! I know my boss also goes to this location for maintenance and tires. Walked in about a call about a simple repair/tire replacement (talked prior that it was ok). The impertinence of a specific person at service with his negative attitude said "well, not today, maybe tomorrow" snarking while saying it. I visited this shop two days in a row. On my first visit, I was given a quote for new tires, but it was higher than I expected, so I decided to shop around. I found a new set of four all-season tires on Facebook Marketplace for $150 and brought them in. While my car was being worked on, several employees repeatedly stopped working to sit down and joke around. Before I was called up to pay, a group of about five employees were openly talking negatively about me for bringing in my own tires and referencing that they had told me the day before to buy theirs instead. When I walked up, one employee asked if I was the person who had their tires done, and I said yes, assuming he was ringing me up, but he walked away and another employee completed the transaction. As I stepped away, the group of employees who had questioned me began laughing. The overall experience was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and disappointing, and I would not return based on how I was treated. read more

My tires are less than a year old. Two months after purchasing tires I had to return, my tire was losing air. They patch the tire and say it was nail. Exactly two months later same tire losing air it needs to be replaced and I had to pay for the replacement. Customer service rep attitude was awful. Then I get up on a cold Thursday and to my guess another tire is low. As I headed to drop my car off I said to my friend watch they will call and say it needs to be replaced. Guess they did smh. So in December I paid $836 dollars for tires. February needed a patch. April replaced the tire. October replacing another tire. I have been a customer and cardholder of Discount Tire for a long time I have never experienced any of this and I have had my own car for over thirty years. I went there to get my ear fixed and the man explained to me that all I needed was a recharge and that it always works once he got done he brought me a paper showing me $1500 worth of work that needed to be done but I still had to pay $210 After he if I pay the 210 that I will have air so now I'm just out of $210 without air I wouldn't recommend going there unless you have a man with you who knows what he's doing because Bill tire trick you out of your money so fast and you still leave with the same problem you came with this happened on portage they need to teach their workers how to better explain the work that's being done and the possibilities of the outcome read more

I had the worst experience at Belle Tire Portage Rd in South Bend, IN. On Friday March 14, 2025 I had an appointment at noon to have a piece of plastic of my car's undercarriage secured; it had somehow been knocked loose and the flapping was driving me crazy. As I pulled into the Belle Tire parking lot, my car started stalling and stuttering and acting like it was losing power. I managed to get it parked. I had JUST filled up with gas and I was freaking out that I had gotten bad gas. I went inside and checked in and asked if they had the ability to check the gas and they said they did not. They said they would take it in and get it fix. I naively assumed they were going to just fix what i originally had scheduled. After about 30 minutes some guy came out and said he had an estimate for me. I was confused. He proceeded to explain to me that I had obviously not been taking care of my car and I had burned up my engine and it needed to be replaced. He further "explained" there was no oil in my car, the check engine light had been on for "months" and I had ignored all the warnings that my car had been displaying. Now mind you, I know NOTHING about cars but I do know how to maintain it, get the oil changed and stop at Auto Zone whenever the check engine light comes on to get the codes checked. I almost passed out cold when they spoke to me like that! They proceeded to hand me an estimate for just under $10,000 to put an new engine in my 2019 Ford Edge. They urged me to sign the estimate so they could "get started". Long story short, I had my car towed to my dealership with the hope that the warranty would still be good. Ford ran the codes; and there was a defective electronic something or another. It cost me a $100.00. ONE. HUNDRED. And only because I had a $100.00 deductible. Belle Tire couldn't have been more wrong. There was oil in my car, it was a little low on windshield wiper fluid, to be honest. There was no indication that the check engine light had been on for any reason at all. So yeah; Belle Tire Portage Rd South Bend, IN. Y'all SUCK and should be ashamed of yourselves. I called and asked about getting tires on my truck the general man gave me a price I said ok I'll see you in next few weeks go by I get ask g me if I was still doing the tires I said yes I just haven't had a chance for the truck to get there but will soon. so i finally get a day to where the truck isn't being used and call over to the store and ask if they can do my tires on Saturday they we sure can we have the tires available all we have to do is go pick them up I said ok cool I'll drop the truck off tonight after hrs and you guys will have for first thing in the am, so the next day comes and colten assistant store manager calls me and says uh we only have 2 of your tires so we will need to bring your truck back to do the other 2 um no I said can't you get the tires from another location there's lots of belle tires around here he said well there is only 2 of us working so we can't. so I said never mind I'll come get the truck and go to discount tire they have the same tires he said ok whatever. then when I went to pick up the truck I told him about me calling before hand and as he is walking away from me he says -- uck we messed this up. The last 3 times I have come here it has been absolutely horrific. I have done business here for years for multiple vehicles. I usually pride myself for my patience and ability to give second chances, but some things in the business world are inexcusable. This is the second time in a period of a couple months that I have had to return here, and was told that for my service I wouldn't be able to make an appointment. Not only that, but when checking the vehicle in I was told the wait time would be an hour and a half, and agreed to wait. After 2.5 hours had passed I inquired about how much longer the wait would be and watched as the employee searched for my keys, pulled them from the back of a pile seemingly pushed to the side and was told they would work it in soon. On top of the horrible wait times and inaccurate timing quotes, Belle Tire should really consider giving management a crash course on customer service and having and attitude with people that were very polite, patient, and respectful to them. read more

Terrible customer service. Had my winter wheels changed out. I do it every year after buying snow tires from this location. Every time I keep telling them to recalibrate the pressure sensors, every time they tell it's fine, yet I keep having to go back and get it redone. And instead of being cordial about it, guys working there are usually ass holes about it. Frustrating, not sure if it's poor work or just lack of caring. Made the appointment on line, a smooth process. Was there at 0800 when the door was being unlocked (I was the first customer). Just asked what he could do for me (no happy greeting). Signed in and that was that. My wife and I came in to wait. Well, the waiting area had undoubtedly not been cleaned or sanitized for anyone's protection. We felt very unsafe. The table had someone's old notes on it and stains that came from containers being set there. The floor was more disgusting. Food and dirt everywhere. Sanitizing containers that were set out were empty. I took pictures to be sure to prove my statements. My car was brought into the service bay at 0815. It was driven into the customer lot at 0915. The customer service rep explained the alignment findings and were were done. Had to come back soon after as the air pressure warning light came on. The system was not reset by the original service tech. The one that came to the car was knowledgeable and did the resetting that I was unaware that I had. I came back to Belle Tire after good previous experiences there having tires placed on my vehicles. I was then satisfied at the way I was treated by the people at the desk, very customer attentive and friendly. Not so much on this trip. I felt I was but another person to deal with in a long line of people they were going to have to deal with on a Saturday. read more

yea I normally don't do this but this is worth the read.. took my jeep in there 6 months ago or so my original mechanic put tires on, and said you may have some leaking down the rd around the bead some corrosion build up, few months later tires leaking very small, took it to Bell tire off Portage, and just said I will pay for it no problem can you clean the rims down leaking tires, said the guys said no we will do it for free, we'll I drop it off they never do it, they said they got to busy they will do it the next day, then they tell me there is no leaking around the tires, but replaced 1 stem, so apparently me telling them I'm putting air in all 4 of the tires every 2 weeks is normal, even willing to pay they don't care because let's face it they want you to junk the tires to sell you new tires, so they never do it..... so fast forward a few months some leaking again bring it back and tell them the same issue is going on, again please fix it I will pay, and the guy says we got you no worries no reason to pay.... so i drop it off they call me the next day and say I need all 4 new tires maybe can get away with 2 tires since it's 4wheel drive, and there is a small pin hole in the wall of the tire can't fixe it,I kinda of get it but I never use 4wheel drive they don't even ask that question, and its not AWD and more then half the life still on the tires, Sorry tires ain't cheap ain't replacing for the heck of it, So I Go pick it up, take it to Michigan to my mechanic shop, tire was never taken off the jeep the mechanic said, he found the pin hole leak not even close to the side wall, which they told me no way to replace it since it's basically on the sidewall seen it with my own eyes, he patched it from the inside the right way no problem at all Grinding the rubber down to apply the glue put the patch down used the glue,Said we will see you in a couple years when your ready for new tires.... Ohh and I forgot they said my brakes and rotors were shot, need new front end parts as well, and please remember when I took my jeep to my mechanic he said my tires were not even taken off the studs, for some time, so Apparently they can see through all the rims and make that call....new brakes and rotors all the way around, and I got pads, ceramic the good kind, rotors best ones at NAPA and 2 new calipers just because the piston was a little tight didn't want to have issues,about 12,000 miles ago or 6 months ago.... So apparently that was all shot as well, because there was a little bit of rust on the rotor.... This place is a complete joke, and believe me they are getting over on people everyday.... Please check around you will come in for a quick tire repair, and have a bill for over a 1000.00 in no time, once again great shout out to wannabe mechanics/used car salesman. read more

I am very pleased, as usual, with the price and kiosk service. I look forward to the promised performance and quality of the tires. What kept me from a five star ratings is the tires and wheels were not cleaned at installation. There was goop and grime all over the tires and wheels. $20 additional spent at the nearby carwash (tire shine only available at the highest price) and now the tires and wheels look as good as they feel. I just think they should make the tires look new when they are installed. read more

We were recently in town and ran over a screw. We stopped in at Belle Tire on Portage Avenue at Cleveland Road to see what could be done. The guys here took care of us, removing the little bugger, patched it up and sent us on our way.......NO CHARGE!!! They were upbeat and friendly and treated us like a paying-customer. They squeezed us in to the busy schedule which was awesome! No problems with the tire and it sees a lot of miles here in Chicagoland. They carry the Goodyear tires that are on our vehicle and have a big variety. I recommend this place for anybody looking for service with a smile. read more

Had TPMS light come and stay on even thou all tiers were at normal pressure. Went to postage road belle tire and all new sensors replaced and was done in a timely manner at a good fair price. I came in last Thursday for 2 new tires to replace 2 old tires (one that had been losing air). They never went out to the car with me to check the tires like Discount Tire does. I paid over $400 for Michelen tires because I'll be driving this car for many more years to come. I thought they had rotated the tires (with new ones going on the front) because that's what I paid for. Sunday I go out to my car to head to church and find the same tire that was losing air was in the same spot and was now down to 20psi. WHAT!!!! I came into Belle Tire today to have them rectify the situation. All they will do for me is put one of my "old" tires from Thursday back on or repair the slow leak. WHAT THE H$&@!!!! Or I could buy a new tire. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I will NEVER recommend Belle Tire to anyone. Adam, Wayne, and Logan were of ZERO help!! I now asked Adam to just put my old tires back on and refund my $400 and he didn't respond except to say "I'll see what I can do for ya." YEP! Never coming back!!! Update: Adam (Asst. Manager) will put a brand new tire on (same make and model) at no cost to me. He showed me the old ones they took off and a note on their sheet that said "take care of worst tires" but that message was NOT from me. Logan (Asst. Manager) never consulted with me about the tires. I had front and rear brakes and rotors put on in the Spring (3/15/2022). I was charged 911.00 dollars. I should have done my due diligence on this. I realized I was overcharged after the fact. Recently (9/6/2022) my steering wheel began to shake when I apply the brake. I took it in to Belle and they said my front brakes and rotors are shot and my rear are bad too. I had only put 10,000 miles on them. They said it was caused by ME braking too hard. I explained I am not a hard breaker and asked if there could be any other reason. They said my calipers were fine and the only reason is me braking too hard. It is very offensive that they are blaming me for the fact that they are putting cheap parts on my car. They quoted me 243.00 to put new brake pads and rotors on the front. The pads are supposed to have a warranty so I am not sure why they charged me for them. I will not be putting the same cheap parts on my car just to return in another 10,000 miles to have them replaced. I have been driving for many years and never had to replace my brakes after only 10,000 miles. I drive the same as I always have so it makes no sense that my rotors and pads are shot already. I urge anyone who is looking to get brakes and rotors to do your research before spending too much money on cheap parts to be installed on your vehicle. The brand they used is Silent Stop. This is a brand I do not recommend. read more

I went into Belle Tire for a wheel alignment and 2 new tires, they claimed that's what they did instead they just charged me for a wheel alignment and the tires but my steering wheel was still crooked and now one of those brand new tires that I bought 2 months ago has the wires sticking out and is Very bald but the other side isn't and now I can't drive my truck because they say there's nothing they can do! Because they system shows I declined the wheel alignment but they fixed my control arms, something I never went for! Why would I decline a wheel alignment when that's what I know I needed for my car! I been dealing with belle tire for years they always have got the job done but this one right here has me all confused and making me feel like they just took my money.. read more

Discussion discovered issue with multiple accounts in computer they cant resolve. left. Made another appt, arrived found that there were 2 nails too close to fix. they replaced tire free to compensate for the prior issues. Stopped early yesterday morning as I was hearing a little "brake noise" (OK, my wife heard the noise) and figured I better get it checked out. Was meet by Erik who seemed to really like his job (meeting and greeting the public). Explained the situation and was offered a free inspection. Long story short-need brakes and new struts; provide a fair estimate and had the work done while I waited. Very clean waiting area-free coffee and wifi. A very pleasant experience even though it cost me. But what's the price of safety. OK three months later and I'm back. Needed new tires and I didn't hesitate as to where I would go. Stephen did a great job explaining options and recommended Bridgestone's. Great price, great service, free alignment check. 1 hour later on the road. If you need any type of car/tire service Belle Tire has you covered. Glad they came to town. I don't think I will return to Belle Tire, I am a loyal Discount Tire customer... I moved this past year and Belle Tire on portage road is much closer to home so gave them a try. I called asking for two new tires for my 4 wheel drive f150. I asked for the same tires as what I had, when I dropped the truck off they told me my rear wheels were too wore to move to the front... They failed to explain that over the phone... Then proceeded to tell me the tires that came on the truck are not recommended... Again didn't mention that on the phone... And that I could get a better set of 4 tires for what I was going to pay for 2. I appreciate the information but now I'm here twice as long when better questions & customer service over the phone would have prevented this... Today these brand new tires started to separate leaving me stranded in Elkhart! Changed the tire and rolled into Discount tire, they bought back the 4 tires from Belle and put a better set of Cooper tires on for $150 full warranty and road hazard. Couldn't appreciate Discount tire in Elkhart more than I do right now! read more

Will never return, and advise everyone else the same. Had a tire leaking air due to a puncture. I plugged it multiple time, but puncture was to large to properly seal with plug (I work collision side of cars everyday). Been stopping by to use free air everyday to fill tire. Today I decided to stop in and purchase a new tire and thought, throw on two. Told them which two tires to replace and put the 2 new tires on the back. Quote me a price and said one car ahead of you. Ok cool should be out of here in no time. 50 minutes later pulled truck in. I was hanging outside and notice truck in the air and all four wheels off. Ok whatever. Awhile later the sale guy come gets me and tells me they made mistake and 4 tires were put on it. But at the beginning they told me they had 3 tires in stock. (On the verge of a discontinued tire). Apologized and agreed on a deal for the four tires (told me they were giving 4 tires at about cost. Went out side and looked at my truck, and only two tires were swapped out. Went back in and said no., you said 4 tires were already done, that's why I agreed on 4tire price. They said that the rears were done and my other tires were a 1/32 past the cut off of company policy of not doing 2 tires. Different size tires will mess up transmission. That's why we agreed on 4. Yes it will on awd vehicles. My truck is not. Told them to put the two tires on from the get go, and that's it, and walked out. 1 1/2 hours later they gave me my keys with no new tires on my truck, saying they can't do only 2 tires, company policy. I watched the tire guy take 3 cigarette breaks, other techs shop talking about other vehicles with this "hillbilly sh@?" on it. So I wasted 3.5 hours of my day for nothing. If the sale guy would of looked at the beginning and said we could not do only 2 tires, I would of purchased 4. The lies, the waste of my day, and unprofessionalism of staff gave you the 1 star and a NON returning customer, and I hope many others.. read more
