I have been a customer many years & never experience any issues until most recently. I had a tech come out for my weekly maintenance & left the pool a mess. The skimmer basket was left full of leaves, did not completely remove leaves from pool & what was removed was discarded on the side of my pool when the garbage pail was right next to it. Included in the pile discarded, was my skimmer cover along with a topper to my fence. When reaching out to the office to share my experience they made themselves out to be the victim declaring my description of what was left does not match their techs. I even had pictures for evidence but they wanted nothing to do with that & suggested it would be best if we parted ways & I find another pool service. This is what loyalty gets you!! After three years of going to Belleair Pool for all of our pool supplies we found ourselves in need of pool service. We were a little hesitant because despite three years of giving them our business the staff there never seemed to remember my husband by name or face. But we heard so many good things about Belleair Pool's service we decided to give them a try Our fiberglass pool had developed really heavy staining, and we weren't sure what to do to fix it. After several phone calls and a couple of no-shows, Belleair Pool finally sent someone out. He spent a few days him-hawing around, trying different chemicals, and telling us all the while that there was some "former employee" that he needed to talk to in order to find out what he should do. In fact he so clearly didn't know what he was doing that whatever he used in our pool actually made the problem a whole lot worse. The fee for this useless "service"? $250!!!! We made several more calls and they kept promising someone would call us back but the return calls never came. They never called to follow up, apologize, or to offer us at least a partial refund. Just kept our money and ran with it, KNOWING they had NOT fixed the problem. The same guy actually services a pool on our street, and the other day my husband saw him getting in his truck. He looked right at my husband and then quickly looked away. He tried to play it off but he knows exactly who we are and he knows exactly what he did...or rather what he DIDN'T do! Really disappointed especially after hearing so much hype about this place around town. We're going to Pinch a Penny now and find their professionalism, service and knowledge is 10 times what we got at Belleair Pool. Our pool is now crystal blue and beautiful again. AND - imagine this - they actually REMEMBER US from one visit to the next. Never again! read more

If I could give them fewer stars!!!! Please, pool owners on Pinellas county, be aware when you change your pool to a salt system pool with this company! I called to make an appointment because we have a guarantee from them (less than a year old) for the salt system, and it suddenly stopped working. I called and made an appointment, and they didn't show up. When I called them again to ask them to please follow their warranty and come because our pool is not working, they denied the service because we gave them a 1-star review for not showing up multiple times. Excuse me??? You are not fixing the system you installed during the guarantee and denying me the service because we gave you a 1-star review for consistently not showing up?? Can you even do that? I called Belleair Pool on 7/3 because my pool pump motor was tripping the breaker. They sent a tech, who arrived in an unmarked pickup on 7/5 who went in my yard to check without knocking on my door first. I encountered him as he was leaving. He still didn't identify himself as being from Belleair Pool but did say the motor needed replacing and that he would report it and should get scheduled for the following week. I contacted Belleair Pools twice after that and was told the Service Manager would contact me about being scheduled. I never to this day have heard from anyone at Belleair Pools. I was able to find another service that replaced the motor the day after I initially contacted them about the problem. read more

No one seems to communicate with each other at Bellair Pools. They are not very responsible about returning calls or following directions. Our pool equipment stopped working after the hurricane. They came out and told me that the equipment was fried. Next I got a phone call asking me to call an electrician since the pool equipment wasn't getting power. I did, and the electrician fixed the problem. I let Bellair know that the electric was restored and that they could come out and diagnose the problem. I did not hear from them for several days. When I call to inquire I was told that the technician was out there and had prepared an estimate. I asked them to email me the estimate which was to replace both of our pool pumps. In the meantime I got estimates from two other pool companies and both found that the pumps were working. We decided to use one of the other companies. Today I got a call from Bellair and they asked if I got the electrician yet. I told them that I did, the electric was fixed and that I had already called them to come out to determine the problem. They insisted that I never called and that they did not come out after the power was restored. I repeated that I did call and told him what the other person said when I called to inquire about the status. Then he "fired" us from their pool maintenance service since we didn't trust them to repair our pool. Very unprofessional company. One of their employees in their company truck nearly crashed into my Tahoe, which would have caused major damage; however, I managed to steer away from him. This occurred on Gulf Blvd. on a Sunday, when the company was closed. I was driving down the road when the truck came barrelling out of a residential street toward my vehicle. My husband let the driver know that we were upset with him while we were still driving down the road, and the employee made a u-turn in front of us, nearly hitting another vehicle, and began to chase us down the road. We were able to lose him and continue on with our business at a local establishment. We stayed there for two hours, and upon leaving, the employee, still in the company truck, drove by us, making verbal threats, saying, "there you are, mother f*****, you p****, took down our license plate number, and stated that he had our vehicle and would find where we lived. The employee was acting out of control, given that he was the one who nearly caused major damage to my vehicle, not the other way around. I called and left a message on the company voicemail but did not receive a response. My husband followed up with the company in person today, and they said they would handle it right away but admitted that they do not check their voicemail messages. I would not recommend this company solely based on how this employee conducted himself in a company vehicle. Totally reckless, endangered my family, stalked us, and made threats. Unacceptable behavior. I'd hate for someone else to have to come into contact with this individual, as he is a horrible representation of this company. read more

I have used Belleair Polls to service my pool for several years with no concerns. When my regular technician left, I began to have concerns with the new assigned techs, This company is under new ownership and appears to be hiring less qualified techs and trying to do more pools per day. They even raised my monthly cost 30%. which is totally unreasonable. I would not recommend although I believe they still have some quality techs and it really is the luck of the draw read more

This pool company FIRED ME as a customer because they charged me $50 for an item without calling me first. His response, "We don't want you as a customer if you are going to question charges". This follows them charging me $150 for a shut-off value when one already existed and their technician never bothered to ask me what the existing values did on the pool. My request after the $150 charge, which they reversed, was, "if it's more than cleaning the pool" call me first to discuss. They charged me $50 for a cover for the trap. 2 of them on Amazon cost $22 delivered. They charged me $50 for 1. This is after I bought a $300 pool cover and $2000 heater for my pool GREEDY!!!!! Really????? Use them at your own risk. What a rip-off. read more

We contracted Belleair Pool in 2012 to refurbish our pool with new plaster, pool and deck tile as well as new coping. The cost was more than $31,995 In 2013 We noticed the deck tiles were loose and falling off the edges. In 2015 we began experiencing water loss from the pool. Shortly after that we noticed the pool tiles were cracking on either in the of the pool. We contacted Belleair Pool and they came out to investigate. The service representative said it was out of warranty. We insisted he bring the owner out to investigate. That took several weeks. He agreed there was a serious problem and said he would fix it. After several calls to the representative and many missed appointments to start the repair, we contacted other pool repair companies. As it turns out the coping was not properly installed and thus creating a leak around the edges of the pool, which in turn caused the tile to crack. The cost to repair is in excess of $5000. Two contractors said the problem was with the initial workmanship and as such the warranty should have been honored as we would not be aware of the problem until the exterior tiles and coping began to crack which they did. We repeatedly requested Belleair Pool to address the issue but were told that we were not a priority, our warranty was no longer valid and they were only going to do the repair as a gesture of good will. We are incredibly disappointed in how we have been treated by Belleair Pools and the poor quality of the workmanship. They had no problem taking our money but a huge problem with honoring the quality of their work. Think twice before you hire this company to do any work for you. read more

The few concerns that I brought to their attention were not welcomed for a solution. I have been using their services for almost 3yrs. I can't say enough good things. I wish I could give more than 5stars. They are always nice and very accommodating. If a problem pops up they are on it fast. I just had my pool refinished with a heater and led lights put in it is a night and day difference.
