These guys were recommended to me by our inspector RW West. I was very disappointed with their service, and this is something I have fed back to our inspector. Elvis and the other guy (Asian guy with blue contacts, maybe Tim?) came out to our house and basically refused to do anything related to the actual problem I called them out for, without first getting paid. I called them for the simple issue of installing a p-trap in a shower that had recently been renovated. The work was to be done in the crawlspace. Every other plumber that came out went into the crawlspace and looked at the actual issue and gave me a bid. Not these guys. They basically gave me a worst case scenario of what could happen and what probably needed to be done without actually knowing anything about my specific problem. They loved to talk but didn't listen. They had nothing but contempt for the work of the previous contractor and basically spoke as if they were the only two real plumbers and everyone else was a hack. I asked him if he would like to actually go down to the crawlspace before making a judgment on how difficult this task would be. His exact words "We don't go down to the crawlspace for free. That'll be $150." And then suggested that I do his job for him and go down there and send him a video. He took my email and said he would give me a quote but never ended up contacting me or returning any of my calls or voicemails. I'm not sure why they even bothered coming out if they were going to do nothing. It was a waste of both my time and theirs. Avoid these guys unless you like your contractors to be arrogant and dismissive. read more

After waiting weeks to make an appt to get someone to come by to give a quote for a tankless water heater, I didn't get the quote within 3 days as promised. After 1.5 weeks, I received a quote for the hardware but not the labor, and after several inquiries by text and phone, I heard nothing back. They ghosted me and I'm not sure why. I would just want to say, Thank you so much! We were having a serious water pressure issue, awhile ago our hot water heater hot hose got a pin hole in it and we didn't know until our besetment was complete flooded! As I tried to shut the water off, and get the hose replaced. When I turned everything back on I guess I didn't turn the valve far enough and had been living with bad water pressure ever scent's. So I got tired of it and I asked my son-in-law for a recommendation of a plumber he used a few weeks earlier, he gave me tech city's number. Made an appointment and today was the day... Yesterday I was caught in a bind when a homeowner in a building I manage brought in a handyman to do a plumbers job inside their condo, then required me to cover when the handyman couldn't complete the job. Tech City responded to my urgent call in a professional manner using Covid required equipment and finished the job within a couple of hours of my call to everyone's satisfaction. Originally we were referred to Elvis (great customer service) who referred us to Tim because of availability. Number ONE: they are so honest!! Let's get to the point, no one wants to pay more than they need to. Tim was honest, and told us what we needed to repair but also told us things that didn't need to be done. He looked out for us. Number two: he responded to our request (arrived at our house) within 24 hours, both times! One of the visits we actually didn't have a problem, he showed us and didn't charge us. Who does that these days? I figured he would charge us a big fee for coming out, and instead told us that he values our business?!?! Where do you see that these days? I don't. Tech City Plumbing has proven to be a great referral. Our kitchen sink hose had a leak and needed to be replaced. Since it was under warranty we were able to get the part delivered and just needed someone to install it. While this sounds like a simple task, I can tell you from past experience that sometimes when working with someone the hardest part is simply getting them to take a call, getting back to you, and showing up. I was surprised on how easy it was to get ahold of Tim and that when on the call he actually took the time to listen and asses the situation. Given we are in a condo and we didn't want to have an unfortunate leak into our neighbors unit below he was very helpful in being available the day the part arrived. I work in the Property Management field and encounter water leaks and plumbing issues on a weekly basis. In this industry I have worked with many plumbers, some good and some bad. I met Elvis (one of the Tech City owners) because he was recommended by another property manager who used him frequently. I was quite happy with the service Tech City provided and now I reach out to Elvis and Tim (the other owner) for pretty much everything - water heater leaks, sewer pipe leaks, shower/bathtub leaks causing water intrusion to other units, troubleshooting sewer gas smells throughout condominium units, I have had them accompanying myself during unit inspections to check for potential plumbing problems, etc. The list goes on... A couple of months ago the water heater at my own house started leaking. Immediately I gave Tech City a call and Tim was out the an hour later to take a look and educate my husband and I on the problem and solution. Our repair was pretty complex due to the age of the home and how the ducts and plumbing was originally installed. The next day (when we had decided what route to go) Tim and Elvis returned to take measurements and gather more information. They ended up having to re-work the ducts, install a 50 gallon tank on a stand. The 75 gallon tank we had that was leaking was just sitting on the ground. Thanks to Tech City I found out that is a huge no-no and very dangerous. They installed a booster on the tank so the water heats up quickly. It's nice because the water is immediately hot, we no longer have to waste water by letting it run for a bit to heat up. On the day of the new tank installation, both Elvis and Tim were at my home for an entire day getting everything running and to plumbing code. Tech City is hands down the best company who I have done business with. If I call because I have a unit with an issue, I can always count on Elvis and Tim to respond right away. The homeowners are always satisfied with the quality of work and level of customer service they were provided. I recommend this company due to the very fair with pricing, responsiveness, excellent customer service, the pride taken in the work they do, and the list goes on.
