I wasn't going to take time out of my day to even write this review, but i figure someone may benifit from my horrible experience. okay. so i'm new to the area... I was in serious need for some waxing! I drove by this hole in the wall that APPEARED to be real nice. Now, i should have known not to judge soley on looks! The Positives: nice paint job.. new furniture. some relaxation pieces to set the "spa" tone... and THAT WAS IT! The Negative: Okay. So im greeted by this rude woman named May. At first she trys to make me feel as if though shes busier then the damn pope by explaining to me in complete detail how crazy busy her schedule is (AS IF I CARED?!) Then, as i'm about to head out the door, she says something to the effect of "well because i like you, im going to squeeze you in this one time". umm... okay? Is she doing me a favor? I'm the one spending my money at her business??? whatever! So, she takes me into her waxing room. Stupid little cubicals is what it looked like! She does my brazilian which would have been great if it wasnt for her talking into my vagina through the whole process! UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!! i needed an eyebrow way more than anything! But if i would have known she had no clue what she was doing, id of stayed bushy! She waxed them. but they had no shape to them!?! no arch. no shape. just blah!!! i hated them! now! if she would have let me see myself in a mirror WHILE I WAS STANDING maybe i would have been able to tell. but NO! this coniving lady only allowed me to look in the mirror while i was still laying down! what kind of crap is that!?!?! ok.. so shes finished fucking me up. i wanted to look around. seeing as to how im new to the area... the spa itself was new, and i was new to it. BUT NO AGAIN! THE BITCH WAS SO RUDE SHE PRACTICALLY PUSHED ME OUT! her excuse... come to find out... she wasnt even open that day!!! (wait, didnt she tell me she was super booked and her schedule was beyond crazy?!?!) and she had to clean and do other things?!?!? agh! i could go on forever! if i could i'd give this shit hole ZERO STARS! WORST DAY SPA IVE EVER BEEN TO! Luckily i found a great place just a few blocks down el camino (past tanforna mall but before you hit see's candy) that are wax goddess'! OK. Where do I begin?? I would follow May to the moon, if I needed to, because, as I tell her, and everyone...she is the "Face Goddess". I met May 4 years ago, when I was a walk-in customer at the spa she previously worked at. I really needed to get my eyebrows waxed and I was randomly assigned to May that day. Being of Indian descent, my people are naturally hairy, and I'm sure my eyebrows present quite a challenge to waxers. I had been to MANY places, and NOone did my eyebrows as perfectly as May did that day. I was totally hooked. In fact, I have been stopped many times by random people that just wanted to tell me how perfect my eyebrows looked! Now you know I am not exaggerating here.So after that day, I was hooked. For the last 4 years, I have not let anyone come near my eyebrows except for May. Now for the second part of my story: For the 1st year I was getting my eyebrows waxed, I had an acne situation on both cheeks. I tried everything to get rid of my acne. I tried Proactive. I went to an Esthetician that had won many European awards for fixing face problems. I went to the Dermatologist that prescribed strong anitboitics. I tried all that I thought possible, but ALL the while, May would say..."Girl! Would you just let me fix your acne?! I promise I will fix your face". She must have said this to me 50 times, but I honestly thought it was not possible for her to be THAT good at TWO things. Then, after all my failed attempts to rid myself of my acne problem, and out of complete desperation, I told May I would give her a try. Within 2 months, I was 100% completely free of acne, and have been to this day. Again, to everyone that knew me before I finally allowed May near my acne, I was a walking testimony. I have referred many, many people to May, and that I why I just HAD to comment here. I give you my absolute word...May is a genius at what she does. Do not waste your time here! It's not worth the groupon either! I pretty much got a yelp acct to write this review since I am so upset. I had a groupon for Mani/pedi and decided to try the opi he'll nails as a little treat. I paid an additional $20 for the service. They are suppose to last 21 days, which is what all the posters in the salon say. The tech didn't know what she was doing. The 2nd coat bubbled when it was under UV light and she yelled at me and said I put my hand I'm crooked. She had to redo it and was mad. By the end of it half my nails were bubbling or had fissures in the polish. I complained to the owner she said it looked good and its suppose to be like that. Such bullcrap!!! So I protested and she got the nail tech to try and fix it. Did it work? No! Then I said u guarantee the gel nail for at least two weeks and she said yes. I told her I'll be back because I don't have any more time. I was there for 2.5 hours my butt was sore! The gel nails lasted 3 days and were lifting and peeling like a regular mani. I was so upset after paying extra on top of the groupon. So I went back to get it redone. It was the same nail tech. She redid all of it, but was disgruntled the entire time and didn't apologize once. It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional it made me more upset. I couldn't wait to get outta there. So when she was done it looked better than the first time, and then they proceed to tell me since they are redoing the gel nails a 2nd time there is no guarantee anymore. What the heck? This place is terrible!! They made it as though its my fault. When there tech doesn't know how to do gel nails. I was so irate over it by now and knew I would never return anyways! This place was VERY clean and i didn't feel as though they were just reusing dirty tools like the ones i used to go to. Yes, they spoke in a different language, but it did not seem as though they were talking about me, but i would have to say i did hope they would include me in their conversations when they spoke in English. Their facials are very comfortable and relaxing. They might've rushed a bit, but she still did a very good job. The manicure and pedicures were pretty and lasted for longer than i thought it would have. The music let me relax as they did my nails. The massage chairs helped me unwind a bit more from my long day at work. Yes, this place might be expensive, but the work they did and how they did it was worth it. I was very relaxed and it lasted till the next day for my big anniversary with my husband. He loved it too, i might bring him with me next time for the massage and men's waxing too. I would recommend this place to my co-workers and friends and family. Overall: This place is good and i will be coming back for more. May is super nice to me she cares when I told her that I have skin problem because of break out I have been having of stress problem a lot in my life . Went to May today she mentioned to me I want my customers to be happy and she care about that a lot . She gave me a treatment today that I am feeling so good about it . Every treatment she gave me today she explain what will this do. I am sorry May if I have been rude and little aggressive to you I understand you trying and doing your best to help me to get better . the layer one mask and layer 2 mark made me feel better already she even gave me a B5 Acne cream and she called me how to use this cream on me . So.. I'm new to yelp and what brought me here is this day spa in San Bruno. I just had to make time, create an account just to put a good review. I felt great the minute I walk in..,was greeted with a smile and the staffs are all smiley and offer me tea or coffee. Next is the service, I booked an appointment for a brazilian wax. May made me feel very comfortable by the way she started a conversation with me. The wax technique she used was amazing. I didn't feel as painful as I did at other places. Right away, I knew that I will be coming back. She was fast and thorough. The place was very clean and I like how they use both soft and hard wax. Bellezza.. you will be seeing me again. This is the 2nd time I've been to Bellezza and I had another great outing. The pedicure from Jenny was outstanding! Yvonne perfectly performed my Gel Manicure and it looks great! The owner, Mae is very friendly and helpful. She even gave me a referral to a great Vietnamese restaurant nearby! I originally bought a Groupon, which they still offer and they offer an extension that is good for 1 year. How can you beat that. The facility is clean and they have lots of nail colors to choose from. I will come back for another extension, you can't beat the price of $40 for the Hot Hydration Mani-Pedi! Thanks to GROUPON I found this place in San Bruno. The hot hydration mani and pedi I got was awesome. I have an ingrown nail from a prior pedi from another place. They took too much of my nail on the side which caused me alot of pain when it grew out. The techinician at Bellezza took her time and was very gentle with me. She did a meticulous job. My hands and feet are free of pain and soft after the sugar scrub and the mud mask. I finally found a place thats clean and everthing they use on me was new (file, buffer, pumice stone etc...) This is my go to day spa salon! A salon that pays close attention to detail, works fast and executes top quality work! May (owner) and her staff are very accommodating, very welcoming and do a wonderful job each time I go there! Great customer service. Quality product and excellent technique. I also get my facial done by May. And she is the only person I trust to have my facial done. Her extractions are AMAZING! Never let me walk out of there with a red face, like some other places do. I have to say whooot whooot!!!!!!! to this location. I am here as I yelp this wonderful Day Spa.... I was introduced to this location today and I am here with my entourage a Private Party for my little sister bridal shower. They closed the location just for us let us bring our own food and so far we are having a wonderful time. I had a exquisite deep tissue massage, a facial, a mani and a pedi.... Finally found a true gem in the peninsula.. just got my facial done and I'm feeling like a million bucks. I was first greeted by a smile from Joanna then she led me upstairs to the facial room. The room was dim with soft relaxing music and once I laid myself on the treatment table..I felt a warm blanket. uummm sooo relaxing. As much as I hate extractions I know that its the most important part of the facial so I just bear with it. My skin looks so hydrated and so radiance. I bought a groupon for the hot hydration mani and pedi a couple of months back and finally had time to book an appointment with bellezza day spa. I was very impress when I left a message and they returned my call within 15 minutes. Julie and Sandra did my mani and pedi. They were very gentle and meticulous.The sugar scrub and massage left me with baby soft skin. They made sure I had somthing to drink and magazines through out the service. So I happen to find this place on yelp... The spa was very clean and modernly decorated. I made an appointement for a brazilian wax. They took me in exactly the time I made and boy...The technique May did was by far the best I have experience. Yes it was uncomfortable (imagine getting your bush cleaned) but She made it as painless as I have ever had. She used soft wax on my bikini area and hard wax on my sensitive area. i visited there today and had a mani pedi, it was very enjoyable, the whole experience, Right when i walked in the door and there was not a strong aroma i knew it was going to be a positive experience. The staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. i noticed that the customers were mainly repeat customers, and that in itself is another good sign! I will go back myself and bring family/friends as it was not the run of the mill salon. I am not a yelper but I had to sign up just to write a review about this place. May was amazing she is such a sweet and accommodating person. Her and staff hosted a bachorolette party that was unbelievable everyone of us a GREAT experience we walked away relaxed and so happy. I highly recommend this location for it wonderful service. BEST BRAZILIAN IN SAN BRUNO!!! I will never go anywhere else for my brazilian other than Bellezza Day Spa. 1- no pain 2-very professional 3-clean May was fabulous! May kept me entertained and unfocused on the pain (very little with her actually) while I got my downstairs groomed. We chit chatted about her salon, etc. I learned a lot about her upbringing and career in skincare. Prices are reasonable and she is very attentive and goes above and beyond. I went in for a problematic pedicure Monday and Sandra did a fabulous job on my ingrown toes. I love that they use a disposable plastic bag over the tub to soak my feet. It gave me a piece of mind ... finally found a place to take care of my needs without stressing being infected by those fancy spa chairs where they can't clean the pipes inside. I went on Friday 10/8/13 to have my facial done. first time coming to this place. May was very nice and take her time to clean/clear up my face. She also did a great job and really listens to what I need. May also give me recommendation on how to keep up my skin (not like some other place, keep push you to buy package or product!!!).
