    Bread and Marinara
    Karen N.

We made a res but didn't need one as it turned out. It was pouring rain and it wasn't busy, but this restaurant was DELICIOUS!! We loved it. Started with a delicious orange and elderflower cocktail and their yummy bread with marinara (complimentary). That marinara should be jarred!!! Then I had the Pappardelle Ragu (with short rib) and my son had the Rigatoni Bolognese. He said it was better than some he's had in Italy! (High praise from him!) Service was lovely and the restaurant itself is super charming. We're here for another week and a half and we'll be back before we leave!

Looking for a delicious meal of pasta with Crabmeat? Look no more. Belli Osteria exceeded my expectations for having a great meal. There was a sense of deja vu when we ordered from here via Uber Eats And then I had a light bulb moment--my very first Elite event I attended was at Belli Osteria. A pasta making class held at this little gem in Fort Greene with quaint, cozy and an inviting atmosphere. It was a fun event but unfortunately I didn't make my way back for dinner. Until now. Keeping it simple, I craved Black Pasta with Crabmeat, Scallions, Calabrian Chili and Lemon. Two orders arrived piping hot, well packed, included grated cheese and finally two small dinner rolls. When I unwrapped it, the aroma was amazing. I ate straight from the takeout dish. It was prepared excellently and I detected all the flavor profiles--the Crabmeat, lemon, scallions and finally, the kick of the Chilli. I was blown away by the deliciousness of this dish and will certainly order from Belli again. Judging by the menu, there seems to be an Argentinian influence; not entirely authentic Italian but good. I'd like to dine in next time.

We visited Belli Osteria on Sunday for brunch. We hadn't booked but turned up at around 1pm and were the only people there (the place did start to fill up later). I decided to to the bottomless brunch offer and my partner ordered beers. The bottomless brunch is a great deal as the price, $39, includes any entree from the menu and drinks (which they are super quick to refill for you). I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and my partner went with our server recommendation of the burger (with the stracchino cheese). Food came quickly and we both really enjoyed our dishes. We also ordered the olive oil cake for dessert, which was probably the stand out of the meal. All in all the total cost came to $120 (including tax and tip) which we thought was good value. Would definitely revisit (we live close by) and recommend if you are in the area and looking for a good value brunch spot.

This might be my favorite meal I've had on my New York visit! Went out for dinner with friends and wanted to try this local place. The decor was beautiful with wine bottles lining the walls and dim lighting from the modern chandelier fixtures. The waitstaff were very attentive and helpful with navigating our party's dietary restrictions. They gave us complimentary bread rolls to start out with, which came with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as a side of marinara sauce. I got the Pappardelle Al Ragu, and this might have been the best meal I had on my visit. The portions are large, and the pasta is so clearly freshly made with its good chew and texture. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The honey-braised rib meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth. I will be thinking about this dish for a very long time. I got to try my friends' Calabrese and Spaghetti Al Granchio pastas, and both were just as marvelous with complex yet addictive flavor profiles. There were only a couple of other tables filled when we got there, but the restaurant should be filled with patrons based on the food here and the friendly staff. Give this local place a try -- it will be well-worth your time!

I love Italian so couldn't wait to give this restaurant a try. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. We walked in and were greeted. The place was small but cute. We were sat and served by Nelson, Francisco, and Isabelle and they were great! We started with drinks of the Vesper Martini and a cocktai called Don't Make Me Blush and they both were good! For food we had the: Fontana Flatbread Granchio (black spaghetti with crab meat) Gnocchi Caccio E Peppe Torino (warm chocolate cake) The food was really good! I really enjoyed the Granchio! All in all this restaurant was super good!

Ambiance was casual European eatery. I was enticed by the positive reviews and location. I sat at the bar, and the bartender took my order then disappeared for the majority of my meal. I ordered a glass of pino noir and the Norma which was pasta with eggplant and mozzarella. I was not impressed with the pasta, it was al dente and had bite to it but the portion size was very small. I felt hungry afterwards. I looked for the bartender but he was nowhere to be found. Eventually the waitress came up to me and asked if I needed anything. I ordered another glass of Pinot noir and an order of appetizer calamari. The calamari was very good, tender and well seasoned. Still the bartender did not return. It wasn't until the end of my meal nearly an hour later that he materialized, took my dessert order and quickly brought a check. The dessert was very good. A chocolate torta with cannoli cream. The bill with tip was about $100. The waitress really held it down, the bartender definitely dropped the ball. The portion size and quality of the food was not worth $100 for one person.

Met a friend for brunch and the place was empty! Which I didn't mind, the waiter Alejandro was very nice and explained the menu to us. They have bottomless brunch which includes mimosas, bloody mary's and coffee. The calamari was excellent and crisped to perfection. The smoked salmon on muffin was OK, should've gone with the bolognese but didn't want to get too sleepy after eating.

Belli is a nice and reasonably priced Italian option in Clinton Hill. I came here with a few friends and ordered the pappardelle al ragu, which was great. You could really tell that the pasta had been made fresh. Considering this a 4-hour braised short rib ragu with homemade noodles, I thought $20 was a great price too. They also offer a $36 bottomless brunch which looks like a good deal!

Came here with my girlfriend with a reservation on a Saturday eve. Definitely did not need one as it was a ghost town. Don't let that fool you. The food was phenomenal. We ordered calamari and the mushroom pasta with added shrimp. Both were spectacular. Came with a basket of fresh bread. Service a bit on the slow side, but pleasant. I would come here again.

If you want a low key happy hour with good food come check out Belli Osteria. This cute Italian restaurant makes fresh pasta but their must haves are their burgers. Also you have to try their truffle fries. I had their black spaghetti with crab meat and they aren't skimpy with the crabmeat. I like to come here for a low key happy hour and the vibes are very chill. They provide $10 drinks, $6 beer and wine and $7 bites. They also make great cocktails as well. Next door their is a pop up empanada spot if you want something quick and simple. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The service is always good here and they are very attentive (Sergio). This is a perfect place to catch up with friends or to have an intimate date. Tell them Eatingwithetienne sent ya!

This place does get busy so recommend making reservations if you can. They have a pretty nice wine list to choose from along with different cocktail options. From the start, the food was delicious starting with the house bread which was warm and soft but still felt light. For dinner, I ordered the special for the night which was cacio pepe ravioli, while my husband got the tagliatelle verdi con ragu. Both of our pasta dishes felt extremely fresh. The ravioli was unlike anything Ive had before, with flavorful cacio pepe filling and a butter sauce with pancetta complementing the flavor. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.

The bartender was quite friendly, and made me a Piccante (spicy tequila/lime/pineapple situation, with a tajin rim) that was solid. My wife wasn't too hungry, so we only ordered a couple items to share. The Insalata Marzamemi (quinoa, avocado, greens, seared tuna and more), and the ossobuco agnolotti. They brought us some complimentary rosemary bread and oil to dip it. I'm not one to look free bread in the mouth (I think that's the saying), but it was not my favorite bread service. Both the bread and the oil needed salt. But it was warm, and I appreciated the gesture. The salad and pasta were far better. Both were surprisingly large portions for the price (this is NYC in 2026), and paired quite well together. The salad was piled high with fresh ingredients, and there was a nice sear on the tuna. It was only a couple of dollars more than the Greek salad, and a steal. The ossobuco agnolotti with its pecorino fondue and veal sauce was rich, and quite filling. There were at least a 15 of the filled pasta pockets, and well worth the price. All in all, a solid stop for some good portions of Italian food at a good price.

I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! That in itself is a Herculean feat! From what I was told it was very popular with the mob as they say... And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. As a sidenote, you will not find any female servers they are all male which l lends to the old school vibe in my opinion. My friend ordered the lamb chops with broccoli Rabe. Rating: 3.5/5 I…read morediscovered this restaurant on Instagram as one of the top Italian restaurants in NYC, so I decided to try it. It appeared to be family-owned in Williamsburg and consistently drew a large crowd throughout the day and night. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was keen to maximize seating, with diners placed very close to one another. The restaurant appeared to have a very old-school vibe; maybe that was the theme they were going for? The food ordered was: 1. Calamari - They weren't overly fried or coated with breading. Tender, and not rough. Flavorful enough; no sauce was needed (although it was included). A good appetizer. 2. Rigatoni with vodka sauce - Maybe it's my taste buds, but I thought the sauce lacked seasoning and flavor overall. The pasta was cooked well (al dente), but the lack of flavor from the sauce ruined the dish. I was really excited about this dish! 3. Cavatelli with Bolognese Sauce - I've had bolognese sauce before, & this dish was just weird. It felt like they just did it within 5 minutes of cooking time, & it was something you could've just made at home yourself with a jar of Prego sauce. It also lacked seasoning. 4. Chicken Parmigiana - I'm a huge chicken parmigiana fan, and I feel like it's always a must if you eat at any Italian restaurant. This dish was well seasoned, not overly fried, not heavily covered with cheese, and smothered in a good amount of sauce. The chicken wasn't dry either; it was tender. Weird part was it was served with a side of string beans & potatoes, not pasta. This was one of the best dishes of the night. 5. Chicken Marsala - Just like the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tender & wasn't dry. It's easy to overcook chicken becoming dry, but the two chicken dishes weren't. Very flavorful & a good amount of mushrooms added for garnish. Same with the chicken parm, string beans & potato's as a side and not pasta. 6. Linguine with White Clam Sauce - I'm allergic to shellfish, so I did not try this dish, but my table said it was good. Overall, I thought the food would've been better. The pricing to food portion ratio did not correlate. It's a little on the pricey side for the amount of food you'd get, but maybe it's because of the rent since it is Williamsburg? Another thing, just like another reviewer mentioned, I felt my table was rushed out the door. We weren't even finished eating and we could feel they were eyeing the table (I was with a large party). The waiter who served my table, whose name I didn't catch, was friendly and polite though. Anyways, this is my take on this restaurant. Maybe this is how old school Italian restaurants are supposed to be & in terms of food too. Tip: Reservation recommended for dining in
