Mr. Garmon Bellinger and his crew helped my sister and nephew relocate from San Antonio to Vancouver, WA. His knowledge of loading and packing was amazing. How he could fit a whole room of furniture into a 4x8x8 crate was a miracle. He started a contents list and taped it to the interior side of the door so that we could easily identify whether the needed item was in Box 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7! Very unprofessional!!! I do not recommend this company to anyone. It's so much that went wrong, I beg you, please if you have nice things, DO NOT hire this company. The following are the list of issues of what they did to me and why they are unprofessional: - 2 site surveys were done and they still ran out of boxes and I had to spend an additional $400 on extra boxes/furniture pads for myself - During the initial survey I was told all my nice furniture would be protected with pads and wrapped appropriately. Oooh but that was a lie!! I will provide pictures. - There were only two men packing my 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and full garage house. I was nice and purchased lunch for myself and the two men ($60 on Popeyes), only for one men to leave after eating and a new guy shows up and takes my leftover chicken without asking. WTH!!! You didn't pay for that. On top of that the packing was not finished as promised that day. Was told they guys coming to move the stuff would do it the next day. - They asked for an additional $200 on packing day because they didn't see I had so much. However, remind you two site visits were done!!! Plus I spent extra money on more boxes myself. - On finish packing/pickup day (next day), 4 men came but only three guys were doing work, and one left after two hours. One guy stayed on his phone 80% of the time and they were there from 0930-1800. - You can tell they were not packers, they treated my stuff like trash. I spent thousands of dollars on my things and for them to treat me this way was disrespectful. They didn't wrap all my leather couches, my table, chairs, clothes, pictures, or washer and dryers. Remotes and power cords to tvs were separated and thrown into my storage room. - Bookshelves and dinner tray stand are broke. - I was told not to complete the payment until the guys were done. Of course, they did not finish because I needed another storage room to fit the rest of my items. However, I asked the guys while packing my 1st unit was it enough space for the items left at the house and they all said yes. If they had told me no I would have had enough time to purchase another unit while the office was open. When we got back to the house they realized then it was more stuff. Now who fought is that? I thought this company was professional!!!!!! Yeahhhh ok!! - My flat screen 75inch and 60inch were laying against the storage unit door!! SMH - I had to wait until the next day to get another storage unit to fit the rest my things. The owner called me that night and said that the guys are waiting for their funds. Now, I have no problem with paying the rest but I was told when they were done and clearly they were not. - I paid them the money but I would Never do business with them again. They even did a few little moves (furniture from our house to office, switching refrigerators from our house to Moms to cousins) and done a great job and were very reasonably priced. I used this company to move from San Antonio to Boerne seven years ago. A friend had recommended them saying that her family had been using them for years....that they are a family owned business and always do a great job and stand by their work. They did a great job. I got pricing for us to pack and for them to pack and having them pack was so reasonable we let them do it...and they did a great job. The pricing was extremely reasonable and worth all the work it saved us. Our new house had a very twisty staircase and we had a ton of heavy furniture that had to go upstairs and they didn't hurt a single piece of furniture or scape a single wall. They were total pros. This summer we hired Bellinger's Moving Service to load our moving truck for our long distance move to Idaho. It was a horrible experience! While we tried to guide them as to how we wanted our stuff loaded (not our first move and we know how our stuff fits in the truck), one of the guys just kept telling us that he's a professional and has been doing this for 27 years. Maybe it would have went better if he would have stopped talking so much about how good he was and just listened! They didn't care at all how they put our stuff and boxes in the truck. They put fragile boxes on the bottom and stacked a lot of heavy boxes on top, as well as turning boxes upside down that needed to stay upright. All boxes were clearly marked by room, fragile, keep upright, etc. A heavy box of family heirlooms (brass and glass), also clearly marked, was stacked on top of fragile boxes, as well as upside down, breaking the glass collectibles that were packed in the top of that box. Our solid walnut dressers were put in the truck without being fully wrapped and protected. They just put them up against the wood that goes around the walls of the truck, with nothing in between. Needless to say, the finish on the dressers was rubbed off in some areas. Although we hired them for at least 2 hours, we sent them away in less than an hour. And then had to rearrange a lot of the boxes they had loaded just to try to protect our stuff! Of course we still had to pay them their 3-hour minimum charge, even after my husband explained to Garman, the owner, about what had happened. No discount, nothing to try to make up for what had happened. Once we got to our destination and discovered some damages when unloading the truck, my husband talked to Garman about the damages, and he said that he would just send us a check instead of us filing a claim. We never received any check, so contacted him several more times. All he ever did was lie and tell us that he did, or would, send us a check. It has been 4 months, and still no check. Thus the reason for me finally writing this review. Beware if you hire these guys! Moving is stressful enough without having issues like this added to it. read more
